Salmos 44
American Standard Version of 1901 [eng] ASV (ENGASV) vs BKJ
1 We have heard with our ears, O God, Our fathers have told us, What work thou didst in their days, In the days of old.
1 Ao Músico-chefe, para os filhos de Corá, Masquil. Nós ouvimos com nossos ouvidos, ó Deus, nossos pais nos contaram que obra tu fizeste nos dias deles, nos tempos antigos.
2 Thou didst drive out the nations with thy hand; But them thou didst plant: Thou didst afflict the peoples; But them thou didst spread abroad.
2 Como tu expulsaste os pagãos com tua mão, e os plantaste; como tu afligiste os povos e os expulsaste.
3 For they gat not the land in possession by their own sword, Neither did their own arm save them; But thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, Because thou wast favorable unto them.
3 Pois eles não conseguiram a posse da terra por sua própria espada, nem seu próprio braço os salvou, mas a tua mão direita, o teu braço e a luz de teu semblante, porque tu os favoreceste.
4 Thou art my King, O God: Command deliverance for Jacob.
4 Tu és meu rei, ó Deus; comanda livramentos a Jacó.
5 Through thee will we push down our adversaries: Through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.
5 Através de ti empurraremos para baixo nossos inimigos; através de teu nome pisaremos nos que se levantam contra nós.
6 For I will not trust in my bow, Neither shall my sword save me.
6 Pois eu não confiarei no meu arco, nem a minha espada me salvará.
7 But thou hast saved us from our adversaries, And hast put them to shame that hate us.
7 Mas tu nos salvaste de nossos inimigos, e envergonhaste aqueles que nos odiavam.
8 In God have we made our boast all the day long, And we will give thanks unto thy name for ever.
8 Em Deus nos vangloriamos por todo o dia, e louvamos o teu nome para sempre. Selá.
9 But now thou hast cast us off, and brought us to dishonor, And goest not forth with our hosts.
9 Mas tu nos abandonaste, e nos envergonhaste; e não vai adiante dos nossos exércitos.
10 Thou makest us to turn back from the adversary; And they that hate us take spoil for themselves.
10 Tu nos fazes dar a volta por causa dos inimigos, e aqueles que nos odeiam nos despojam para si.
11 Thou hast made us like sheep appointed for food, And hast scattered us among the nations.
11 Tu nos deste como ovelhas separadas para alimento, e nos espalhaste entre os pagãos.
12 Thou sellest thy people for nought, And hast not increased
12 Tu vendes o teu povo por nada, e não aumenta a tua riqueza com o seu preço.
13 Thou makest us a reproach to our neighbors, A scoffing and a derision to them that are round about us.
13 Tu fazes de nós vergonha para os nossos vizinhos, desprezo e escárnio para aqueles que estão ao nosso redor.
14 Thou makest us a byword among the nations, A shaking of the head among the peoples.
14 Tu fazes de nós o provérbio entre os pagãos, um balançar de cabeça entre os povos.
15 All the day long is my dishonor before me, And the shame of my face hath covered me,
15 Minha confusão está continuamente diante de mim, e a vergonha da minha face me encobriu;
16 For the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth, By reason of the enemy and the avenger.
16 pela voz daquele que insulta e blasfema; por causa do inimigo e vingador.
17 All this is come upon us; yet have we not forgotten thee, Neither have we dealt falsely in thy covenant.
17 Tudo isso nos sobreveio; contudo não nos temos esquecido de ti, nem lidamos falsamente ao teu pacto.
18 Our heart is not turned back, Neither have our steps declined from thy way,
18 Nosso coração não se voltou, nem os nossos passos se desviaram do teu caminho.
19 That thou hast sore broken us in the place of jackals, And covered us with the shadow of death.
19 Embora tu tenhas dolorosamente nos quebrado no lugar dos dragões, e nos coberto com a sombra da morte.
20 If we have forgotten the name of our God, Or spread forth our hands to a strange god;
20 Se nos esquecemos do nome de nosso Deus, ou esticamos as nossas mãos para um deus estranho,
21 Will not God search this out? For he knoweth the secrets of the heart.
21 Deus não esquadrinhará isso? Pois ele conhece os segredos do coração.
22 Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
22 Sim, por tua causa somos mortos todo o dia; somos contados como ovelhas para a matança.
23 Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord? Arise, cast
23 Desperta, por que dormes, ó Senhor? Levanta-te, não nos rejeites para sempre.
24 Wherefore hidest thou thy face, And forgettest our affliction and our oppression?
24 Por que escondes a tua face, e esqueces a nossa aflição e a nossa opressão?
25 For our soul is bowed down to the dust: Our body cleaveth unto the earth.
25 Pois nossa alma está prostrada sobre o pó, nossa barriga está encostada sobre a terra.
26 Rise up for our help, And redeem us for thy lovingkindness’ sake.
26 Levanta-te por nosso socorro, e redime-nos por causa de tua misericórdia.
