1 Escutem, agora, ricos! Chorem e lamentem, por causa das desgraças que virão sobre vocês.

2 As suas riquezas apodreceram, e as suas roupas foram comidas pelas traças.

3 O seu ouro e a sua prata estão enferrujados, e essa ferrugem será testemunha contra vocês e há de devorar, como fogo, o corpo de vocês. Nestes tempos do fim, vocês ajuntaram tesouros.
4 Behold|strong="G2400", the hire|strong="G3408" of the labourers|strong="G2040" who have|strong="G3588" reaped down|strong="G0270" your|strong="G5216" fields|strong="G5561", which is of|strong="G0575" you|strong="G5216" kept back by fraud|strong="G0650", crieth|strong="G2896": and|strong="G2532" the cries|strong="G0995" of them|strong="G3588" which have reaped|strong="G2325" are entered|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" the ears|strong="G3775" of the Lord|strong="G2962" of sabaoth|strong="G4519".
4 Eis que o salário dos trabalhadores que fizeram a colheita nos campos de vocês e que foi retido com fraude está clamando; e o clamor dos que fizeram a colheita chegou aos ouvidos do Senhor dos Exércitos.
5 Ye have lived in pleasure|strong="G5171" on|strong="G1909" the earth|strong="G1093", and|strong="G2532" been wanton|strong="G4684"; ye have nourished|strong="G5142" your|strong="G5216" hearts|strong="G2588", as|strong="G5613" in|strong="G1722" a day|strong="G2250" of slaughter|strong="G4967".
5 Vocês têm tido uma vida de luxo e de prazeres sobre a terra; têm engordado em dia de matança.
6 Ye have condemned|strong="G2613" and killed|strong="G5407" the just|strong="G1342"; and he doth|strong="G0498" not|strong="G3756" resist|strong="G0498" you|strong="G5213".
6 Vocês têm condenado e matado o justo, sem que ele ofereça resistência.
7 Be patient|strong="G3114" therefore|strong="G3767", brethren|strong="G0080", unto|strong="G2193" the coming|strong="G3952" of the Lord|strong="G2962". Behold|strong="G2400", the husbandman|strong="G1092" waiteth for|strong="G1551" the precious|strong="G5093" fruit|strong="G2590" of the earth|strong="G1093", and hath long patience|strong="G3114" for|strong="G1909" it|strong="G0846", until|strong="G2193" he receive|strong="G2983" the early|strong="G4406" and|strong="G2532" latter|strong="G3797" rain|strong="G5205".
7 Portanto, irmãos, sejam pacientes até a vinda do Senhor. Eis que o lavrador aguarda com paciência o precioso fruto da terra, até receber as primeiras e as últimas chuvas.
8 Be|strong="G3114" ye|strong="G5210" also|strong="G2532" patient|strong="G3114"; stablish|strong="G4741" your|strong="G5216" hearts|strong="G2588": for|strong="G3754" the coming|strong="G3952" of the Lord|strong="G2962" draweth nigh|strong="G1448".
8 Sejam também vocês pacientes e fortaleçam o seu coração, pois a vinda do Senhor está próxima.
9 Grudge|strong="G4727" not|strong="G3361" one against|strong="G2596" another|strong="G0240", brethren|strong="G0080", lest|strong="G3361" ye be condemned|strong="G2632": behold|strong="G2400", the judge|strong="G4253" standeth|strong="G2476" before|strong="G3588" the door|strong="G2476".
9 Irmãos, não se queixem uns dos outros, para que vocês não sejam julgados. Eis que o juiz está às portas.
10 Take|strong="G2983", my|strong="G3450" brethren|strong="G0080", the prophets|strong="G4396", who|strong="G3739" have spoken|strong="G2980" in the name|strong="G3686" of the Lord|strong="G2962", for an example|strong="G5262" of suffering affliction|strong="G2552", and|strong="G2532" of patience|strong="G3115".
10 Irmãos, tomem como exemplo de sofrimento e de paciência os profetas, que falaram em nome do Senhor.
11 Behold|strong="G2400", we count|strong="G3106" them|strong="G3588" happy|strong="G3106" which endure|strong="G5278". Ye have heard|strong="G0191" of the patience|strong="G5281" of Job|strong="G2492", and|strong="G2532" have seen|strong="G1492" the end|strong="G5056" of the Lord|strong="G2962"; that|strong="G3754" the Lord|strong="G2962" is|strong="G2076" very pitiful|strong="G4184", and|strong="G2532" of tender mercy|strong="G3629".
11 Eis que consideramos felizes os que foram perseverantes. Vocês ouviram a respeito da paciência de Jó e sabem como o Senhor fez com que tudo acabasse bem; porque o Senhor é cheio de misericórdia e compaixão.
12 But|strong="G1161" above|strong="G4253" all things|strong="G3956", my|strong="G3450" brethren|strong="G0080", swear|strong="G3660" not|strong="G3361", neither|strong="G3383" by heaven|strong="G3772", neither|strong="G3383" by the earth|strong="G1093", neither|strong="G3383" by any|strong="G5100" other|strong="G0243" oath|strong="G3727": but|strong="G1161" let|strong="G2277" your|strong="G5216" yea|strong="G3483" be|strong="G2277" yea|strong="G3483"; and|strong="G2532" your nay|strong="G3756", nay|strong="G3756"; lest|strong="G2443" ye fall|strong="G4098" into|strong="G1519" condemnation|strong="G5272".
12 Acima de tudo, meus irmãos, não jurem nem pelo céu, nem pela terra, nem por outra coisa qualquer, mas que o “sim” de vocês seja “sim”, e que o “não” de vocês seja “não”, para que vocês não incorram em condenação.
13 Is|strong="G2553" any|strong="G5100" among|strong="G1722" you|strong="G5213" afflicted|strong="G2553"? let him pray|strong="G4336". Is|strong="G2114" any|strong="G5100" merry|strong="G2114"? let him sing psalms|strong="G5567".
13 Alguém de vocês está sofrendo? Faça oração. Alguém está alegre? Cante louvores.
14 Is|strong="G0770" any|strong="G5100" sick|strong="G0770" among|strong="G1722" you|strong="G5213"? let him call|strong="G4341" for the elders|strong="G4245" of the church|strong="G1577"; and|strong="G2532" let them pray|strong="G4336" over|strong="G1909" him|strong="G0846", anointing|strong="G0218" him|strong="G0846" with oil|strong="G1637" in|strong="G1722" the name|strong="G3686" of the Lord|strong="G2962":
14 Alguém de vocês está doente? Chame os presbíteros da igreja, e estes façam oração sobre ele, ungindo-o com óleo, em nome do Senhor.
15 And|strong="G2532" the prayer|strong="G2171" of faith|strong="G4102" shall save|strong="G4982" the sick|strong="G2577", and|strong="G2532" the Lord|strong="G2962" shall raise|strong="G1453" him|strong="G0846" up|strong="G1453"; and if|strong="G2579" he have committed|strong="G4160" sins|strong="G0266", they|strong="G0863" shall be|strong="G5600" forgiven|strong="G0863" him|strong="G0846".
15 E a oração da fé salvará o enfermo, e o Senhor o levantará. E, se houver cometido pecados, estes lhe serão perdoados.
16 Confess|strong="G1843" your faults|strong="G3900" one to another|strong="G0240", and|strong="G2532" pray|strong="G2172" one|strong="G0240" for|strong="G5228" another|strong="G0240", that|strong="G3704" ye may be healed|strong="G2390". The effectual fervent|strong="G1754" prayer|strong="G1162" of a righteous man|strong="G1342" availeth|strong="G2480" much|strong="G4183".
16 Portanto, confessem os seus pecados uns aos outros e orem uns pelos outros, para que vocês sejam curados. Muito pode, por sua eficácia, a súplica do justo.
17 Elias|strong="G2243" was|strong="G2258" a man|strong="G0444" subject to like passions|strong="G3663" as we are|strong="G2254", and|strong="G2532" he prayed|strong="G4336" earnestly|strong="G4335" that it might|strong="G1026" not|strong="G3361" rain|strong="G1026": and|strong="G2532" it rained|strong="G1026" not|strong="G3756" on|strong="G1909" the earth|strong="G1093" by the space of three|strong="G5140" years|strong="G1763" and|strong="G2532" six|strong="G1803" months|strong="G3376".
17 Elias era homem semelhante a nós, sujeito aos mesmos sentimentos, e orou com fervor para que não chovesse sobre a terra, e, por três anos e seis meses, não choveu.
18 And|strong="G2532" he prayed|strong="G4336" again|strong="G3825", and|strong="G2532" the heaven|strong="G3772" gave|strong="G1325" rain|strong="G5205", and|strong="G2532" the earth|strong="G1093" brought forth|strong="G0985" her|strong="G0846" fruit|strong="G2590".
18 Depois, orou de novo, e então o céu deu chuva, e a terra produziu os seus frutos.
19 Brethren|strong="G0080", if|strong="G1437" any|strong="G5100" of|strong="G1722" you|strong="G5213" do err|strong="G4105" from|strong="G0575" the truth|strong="G0225", and|strong="G2532" one|strong="G5100" convert|strong="G1994" him|strong="G0846";
19 Meus irmãos, se alguém entre vocês se desviar da verdade, e alguém o converter,
20 Let him know|strong="G1097", that|strong="G3754" he which converteth|strong="G1994" the sinner|strong="G0268" from|strong="G1537" the error|strong="G4106" of his|strong="G0846" way|strong="G3598" shall save|strong="G4982" a soul|strong="G5590" from|strong="G1537" death|strong="G2288", and|strong="G2532" shall hide|strong="G2572" a multitude|strong="G4128" of sins|strong="G0266".
20 saibam que aquele que converte o pecador do seu caminho errado salvará da morte a alma dele e cobrirá uma multidão de pecados.
