1 Às margens dos rios da Babilônia, nós nos assentávamos e chorávamos, lembrando-nos de Sião.
2 We hanged|strong="H8518" our harps|strong="H3658" upon the willows|strong="H6155" in the midst|strong="H8432" thereof.
2 Nos salgueiros que lá havia, pendurávamos as nossas harpas,
3 For there they that carried us away captive|strong="H7617" required|strong="H7592" of us a song|strong="H1697"; and they that wasted|strong="H8437" us required of us mirth|strong="H8057", saying, Sing|strong="H7891" us one of the songs|strong="H7892" of Zion|strong="H6726".
3 pois aqueles que nos levaram cativos nos pediam canções, e os nossos opressores, que fôssemos alegres, dizendo: Entoai-nos algum dos cânticos de Sião.
4 How shall we sing|strong="H7891" the \+w LORD’s|strong="H3068"\+w* song|strong="H7892" in a strange|strong="H5236" land|strong="H0127"?
4 Como, porém, haveríamos de entoar o canto do Senhor em terra estranha?
5 If I forget|strong="H7911" thee, O Jerusalem|strong="H3389", let my right hand|strong="H3225" forget|strong="H7911" her cunning.
5 Se eu de ti me esquecer, ó Jerusalém, que se resseque a minha mão direita.
6 If I do not remember|strong="H2142" thee, let my tongue|strong="H3956" cleave|strong="H1692" to the roof of my mouth|strong="H2441"; if I prefer|strong="H5927" not Jerusalem|strong="H3389" above my chief|strong="H7218" joy|strong="H8057".
6 Apegue-se-me a língua ao paladar, se me não lembrar de ti, se não preferir eu Jerusalém à minha maior alegria.
7 Remember|strong="H2142", O \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, the children|strong="H1121" of Edom|strong="H0123" in the day|strong="H3117" of Jerusalem|strong="H3389"; who said|strong="H0559", Rase|strong="H6168" it, rase|strong="H6168" it, even to the foundation|strong="H3247" thereof.
7 Contra os filhos de Edom, lembra-te, Senhor , do dia de Jerusalém, pois diziam: Arrasai, arrasai-a, até aos fundamentos.
8 O daughter|strong="H1323" of Babylon|strong="H0894", who art to be destroyed|strong="H7703"; happy|strong="H0835" shall he be, that rewardeth|strong="H7999" thee as thou hast served|strong="H1580" us.
8 Filha da Babilônia, que hás de ser destruída, feliz aquele que te der o pago do mal que nos fizeste.
9 Happy|strong="H0835" shall he be, that taketh|strong="H0270" and dasheth|strong="H5310" thy little ones|strong="H5768" against the stones|strong="H5553".
9 Feliz aquele que pegar teus filhos e esmagá-los contra a pedra.
