6 E Jesus lhes disse:

11 Como não compreendem que eu não estava falando com vocês a respeito de pães? Tenham cuidado com o fermento dos fariseus e dos saduceus.
12 Then|strong="G5119" understood they|strong="G4920" how that|strong="G3754" he bade|strong="G2036" them not|strong="G3756" beware|strong="G4337" of|strong="G0575" the leaven|strong="G2219" of bread|strong="G0740", but|strong="G0235" of|strong="G0575" the doctrine|strong="G1322" of the Pharisees|strong="G5330" and|strong="G2532" of the Sadducees|strong="G4523".
12 Então entenderam que Jesus lhes tinha dito que tivessem cuidado não com o fermento usado no pão, mas com a doutrina dos fariseus e saduceus.

13 Indo Jesus para a região de Cesareia de Filipe, perguntou a seus discípulos:

15 Ao que Jesus perguntou:
16 And|strong="G1161" Simon|strong="G4613" Peter|strong="G4074" answered|strong="G0611" and said|strong="G2036", Thou|strong="G4771" art|strong="G1488" the Christ|strong="G5547", the Son|strong="G5207" of the|strong="G2316" living|strong="G2198" God|strong="G2316".
16 Respondendo, Simão Pedro disse: — O senhor é o Cristo, o Filho do Deus vivo.

17 Então Jesus lhe afirmou:

18 Também eu lhe digo que você é Pedro, e sobre esta pedra edificarei a minha igreja, e as portas do inferno não prevalecerão contra ela.
19 \+w And|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w I will give|strong="G1325"\+w* \+w unto thee|strong="G4671"\+w* \+w the keys|strong="G2807"\+w* \+w of the kingdom|strong="G0932"\+w* \+w of heaven|strong="G3772"\+w*: \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w whatsoever|strong="G1437"\+w* \+w thou shalt bind|strong="G1210"\+w* \+w on|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w earth|strong="G1093"\+w* \+w shall be|strong="G2071"\+w* \+w bound|strong="G1210"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w heaven|strong="G3772"\+w*: \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w whatsoever|strong="G1437"\+w* \+w thou shalt loose|strong="G3089"\+w* \+w on|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w earth|strong="G1093"\+w* \+w shall be|strong="G2071"\+w* \+w loosed|strong="G3089"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w heaven|strong="G3772"\+w*.
19 Eu lhe darei as chaves do Reino dos Céus; o que você ligar na terra terá sido ligado nos céus; e o que você desligar na terra terá sido desligado nos céus.
20 Then|strong="G5119" charged he|strong="G1291" his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101" that|strong="G2443" they should tell|strong="G2036" no man|strong="G3367" that|strong="G3754" he|strong="G0846" was|strong="G2076" Jesus|strong="G2424" the Christ|strong="G5547".
20 Então Jesus ordenou aos discípulos que não dissessem a ninguém que ele era o Cristo.
21 From|strong="G0575" that time|strong="G5119" forth|strong="G0575" began|strong="G0756" Jesus|strong="G2424" to shew|strong="G1166" unto his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101", how that|strong="G3754" he|strong="G0846" must|strong="G1163" go|strong="G0565" unto|strong="G1519" Jerusalem|strong="G2414", and|strong="G2532" suffer|strong="G3958" many things|strong="G4183" of|strong="G0575" the elders|strong="G4245" and|strong="G2532" chief priests|strong="G0749" and|strong="G2532" scribes|strong="G1122", and|strong="G2532" be killed|strong="G0615", and|strong="G2532" be raised again|strong="G1453" the|strong="G2250" third|strong="G5154" day|strong="G2250".
21 Desde esse tempo, Jesus começou a mostrar aos seus discípulos que era necessário que ele fosse para Jerusalém, sofresse muitas coisas nas mãos dos anciãos, dos principais sacerdotes e dos escribas, fosse morto e, no terceiro dia, ressuscitasse.
22 Then|strong="G2532" Peter|strong="G4074" took|strong="G4355" him|strong="G0846", and began to|strong="G0756" rebuke|strong="G2008" him|strong="G0846", saying|strong="G3004", Be it far|strong="G2436" from thee|strong="G4671", Lord|strong="G2962": this|strong="G5124" shall|strong="G2071" not|strong="G3756" be|strong="G2071" unto thee|strong="G4671".
22 Então Pedro, chamando-o à parte, começou a repreendê-lo, dizendo: — Que Deus não permita, Senhor! Isso de modo nenhum irá lhe acontecer.
23 But|strong="G1161" he turned|strong="G4762", and said|strong="G2036" unto Peter|strong="G4074", \+w Get thee|strong="G5217"\+w* \+w behind|strong="G3694"\+w* \+w me|strong="G3450"\+w*, \+w Satan|strong="G4567"\+w*: \+w thou art|strong="G1488"\+w* \+w an offence|strong="G4625"\+w* \+w unto me|strong="G3450"\+w*: \+w for|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w thou savourest|strong="G5426"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w the things that be|strong="G3588"\+w* \+w of God|strong="G2316"\+w*, \+w but|strong="G0235"\+w* \+w those that be|strong="G3588"\+w* \+w of men|strong="G0444"\+w*.
23 Mas Jesus, voltando-se, disse a Pedro:
24 Then|strong="G5119" said|strong="G2036" Jesus|strong="G2424" unto|strong="G3101" his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101", \+w If|strong="G1487"\+w* \+w any|strong="G5100"\+w* \+add man\+add* \+w will|strong="G2309"\+w* \+w come|strong="G2064"\+w* \+w after|strong="G3694"\+w* \+w me|strong="G3450"\+w*, \+w let him deny|strong="G0533"\+w* \+w himself|strong="G1438"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w take up|strong="G0142"\+w* \+w his|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w cross|strong="G4716"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w follow|strong="G0190"\+w* \+w me|strong="G3427"\+w*.
24 Então Jesus disse aos seus discípulos:

25 Pois quem quiser salvar a sua vida a perderá; e quem perder a vida por minha causa, esse a achará.

26 De que adiantará uma pessoa ganhar o mundo inteiro e perder a sua alma? Ou que dará uma pessoa em troca de sua alma?
27 \+w For|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w the Son|strong="G5207"\+w* \+w of man|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w shall|strong="G3195"\+w* \+w come|strong="G2064"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w the glory|strong="G1391"\+w* \+w of|strong="G3962"\+w* \+w his|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w Father|strong="G3962"\+w* \+w with|strong="G3326"\+w* \+w his|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w angels|strong="G0032"\+w*; \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w then|strong="G5119"\+w* \+w he shall reward|strong="G0591"\+w* \+w every man|strong="G1538"\+w* \+w according to|strong="G2596"\+w* \+w his|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w works|strong="G4234"\+w*.
27 Porque o Filho do Homem há de vir na glória de seu Pai, com os seus anjos, e então retribuirá a cada um conforme as suas obras.

28 Em verdade lhes digo que, dos que aqui se encontram, existem alguns que não passarão pela morte até que vejam o Filho do Homem vir no seu Reino.
