2 Why|strong="G5101" do|strong="G3845" thy|strong="G4675" disciples|strong="G3101" transgress|strong="G3845" the tradition|strong="G3862" of the elders|strong="G4245"? for|strong="G1063" they wash|strong="G3538" not|strong="G3756" their|strong="G0846" hands|strong="G5495" when|strong="G3752" they eat|strong="G2068" bread|strong="G0740".
3 But|strong="G1161" he answered|strong="G0611" and said|strong="G2036" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w Why|strong="G5101"\+w* \+w do|strong="G3845"\+w* \+w ye|strong="G5210"\+w* \+w also|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w transgress|strong="G3845"\+w* \+w the commandment|strong="G1785"\+w* \+w of God|strong="G2316"\+w* \+w by|strong="G1223"\+w* \+w your|strong="G5216"\+w* \+w tradition|strong="G3862"\+w*?
4 \+w For|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w God|strong="G2316"\+w* \+w commanded|strong="G1781"\+w*, \+w saying|strong="G3004"\+w*, \+w Honour|strong="G5091"\+w* \+w thy|strong="G4675"\+w* \+w father|strong="G3962"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w mother|strong="G3384"\+w*: \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w*, \+w He that curseth|strong="G2551"\+w* \+w father|strong="G3962"\+w* \+w or|strong="G2228"\+w* \+w mother|strong="G3384"\+w*, \+w let him die|strong="G5053"\+w* \+w the death|strong="G2288"\+w*.
5 \+w But|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w ye|strong="G5210"\+w* \+w say|strong="G3004"\+w*, \+w Whosoever|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w shall say|strong="G2036"\+w* \+w to|strong="G3962"\+w* \+add his\+add* \+w father|strong="G3962"\+w* \+w or|strong="G2228"\+w* \+add his\+add* \+w mother|strong="G3384"\+w*, \+add It is\+add* \+w a gift|strong="G1435"\+w*, \+w by whatsoever|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w thou mightest be profited|strong="G5623"\+w* \+w by|strong="G1537"\+w* \+w me|strong="G1700"\+w*;

7 \+add Ye\+add* \+w hypocrites|strong="G5273"\+w*, \+w well|strong="G2573"\+w* \+w did|strong="G4395"\+w* \+w Esaias|strong="G2268"\+w* \+w prophesy|strong="G4395"\+w* \+w of|strong="G4012"\+w* \+w you|strong="G5216"\+w*, \+w saying|strong="G3004"\+w*,
8 \+w This|strong="G3778"\+w* \+w people|strong="G2992"\+w* \+w draweth nigh|strong="G1448"\+w* \+w unto me|strong="G3427"\+w* \+w with|strong="G4750"\+w* \+w their|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w mouth|strong="G4750"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w honoureth|strong="G5091"\+w* \+w me|strong="G3165"\+w* \+w with|strong="G5491"\+w* \+add their\+add* \+w lips|strong="G5491"\+w*; \+w but|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w their|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w heart|strong="G2588"\+w* \+w is|strong="G0568"\+w* \+w far|strong="G4206"\+w* \+w from|strong="G0575"\+w* \+w me|strong="G1700"\+w*.
9 \+w But|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w in vain|strong="G3155"\+w* \+w they do worship|strong="G4576"\+w* \+w me|strong="G3165"\+w*, \+w teaching|strong="G1321"\+w* \+add for\+add* \+w doctrines|strong="G1319"\+w* \+w the commandments|strong="G1778"\+w* \+w of men|strong="G0444"\+w*.
10 And|strong="G2532" he called|strong="G4341" the multitude|strong="G3793", and said|strong="G2036" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w Hear|strong="G0191"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w understand|strong="G4920"\+w*:
11 \+w Not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w that which goeth|strong="G1525"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the mouth|strong="G4750"\+w* \+w defileth|strong="G2840"\+w* \+w a man|strong="G0444"\+w*; \+w but|strong="G0235"\+w* \+w that which cometh out|strong="G1607"\+w* \+w of|strong="G1537"\+w* \+w the mouth|strong="G4750"\+w*, \+w this|strong="G5124"\+w* \+w defileth|strong="G2840"\+w* \+w a man|strong="G0444"\+w*.
12 Then|strong="G5119" came|strong="G4334" his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101", and said|strong="G2036" unto him|strong="G0846", Knowest thou|strong="G1492" that|strong="G3754" the Pharisees|strong="G5330" were offended|strong="G4624", after they heard|strong="G0191" this saying|strong="G3056"?
13 But|strong="G1161" he answered|strong="G0611" and said|strong="G2036", \+w Every|strong="G3956"\+w* \+w plant|strong="G5451"\+w*, \+w which|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w my|strong="G3450"\+w* \+w heavenly|strong="G3770"\+w* \+w Father|strong="G3962"\+w* \+w hath|strong="G5452"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w planted|strong="G5452"\+w*, \+w shall be rooted up|strong="G1610"\+w*.
14 \+w Let|strong="G0863"\+w* \+w them|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w alone|strong="G0863"\+w*: \+w they be|strong="G1526"\+w* \+w blind|strong="G5185"\+w* \+w leaders|strong="G3595"\+w* \+w of the blind|strong="G5185"\+w*. \+w And|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w if|strong="G1437"\+w* \+w the blind|strong="G5185"\+w* \+w lead|strong="G3594"\+w* \+w the blind|strong="G5185"\+w*, \+w both|strong="G0297"\+w* \+w shall fall|strong="G4098"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the ditch|strong="G0999"\+w*.
15 Then|strong="G1161" answered|strong="G0611" Peter|strong="G4074" and said|strong="G2036" unto him|strong="G0846", Declare|strong="G5419" unto us|strong="G2254" this|strong="G3778" parable|strong="G3850".
16 And|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G2036", \+w Are|strong="G2075"\+w* \+w ye|strong="G5210"\+w* \+w also|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w yet|strong="G0188"\+w* \+w without understanding|strong="G0801"\+w*?
17 \+w Do not|strong="G3768"\+w* \+w ye|strong="G3539"\+w* \+w yet|strong="G3768"\+w* \+w understand|strong="G3539"\+w*, \+w that|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w whatsoever|strong="G3956"\+w* \+w entereth|strong="G1531"\+w* \+w in at|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the mouth|strong="G4750"\+w* \+w goeth|strong="G5562"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the belly|strong="G2836"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w is cast out|strong="G1544"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the draught|strong="G0856"\+w*?
18 \+w But|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w those things which proceed|strong="G1607"\+w* \+w out|strong="G1537"\+w* \+w of the mouth|strong="G4750"\+w* \+w come forth|strong="G1831"\+w* \+w from|strong="G1537"\+w* \+w the heart|strong="G2588"\+w*; \+w and they|strong="G2548"\+w* \+w defile|strong="G2840"\+w* \+w the man|strong="G0444"\+w*.
19 \+w For|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w out|strong="G1537"\+w* \+w of the heart|strong="G2588"\+w* \+w proceed|strong="G1831"\+w* \+w evil|strong="G4190"\+w* \+w thoughts|strong="G1261"\+w*, \+w murders|strong="G5408"\+w*, \+w adulteries|strong="G3430"\+w*, \+w fornications|strong="G4202"\+w*, \+w thefts|strong="G2829"\+w*, \+w false witness|strong="G5577"\+w*, \+w blasphemies|strong="G0988"\+w*:
20 \+w These|strong="G5023"\+w* \+w are|strong="G2076"\+w* \+add the things\+add* \+w which defile|strong="G2840"\+w* \+w a man|strong="G0444"\+w*: \+w but|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w to eat|strong="G5315"\+w* \+w with|strong="G5495"\+w* \+w unwashen|strong="G0449"\+w* \+w hands|strong="G5495"\+w* \+w defileth|strong="G2840"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w a man|strong="G0444"\+w*.
21 Then|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G2424" went|strong="G1831" thence|strong="G1564", and departed|strong="G0402" into|strong="G1519" the coasts|strong="G3313" of Tyre|strong="G5184" and|strong="G2532" Sidon|strong="G4605".
22 And|strong="G2532", behold|strong="G2400", a woman|strong="G1135" of Canaan|strong="G5478" came|strong="G1831" out|strong="G0575" of the|strong="G3725" same|strong="G1565" coasts|strong="G3725", and cried|strong="G2905" unto him|strong="G0846", saying|strong="G3004", Have mercy|strong="G1653" on me|strong="G3165", O Lord|strong="G2962", thou Son|strong="G5207" of David|strong="G1138"; my|strong="G3450" daughter|strong="G2364" is|strong="G1139" grievously|strong="G2560" vexed with a devil|strong="G1139".
23 But|strong="G1161" he answered|strong="G0611" her|strong="G0846" not|strong="G3756" a word|strong="G3056". And|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101" came|strong="G4334" and besought|strong="G2065" him|strong="G0846", saying|strong="G3004", Send|strong="G0630" her|strong="G0846" away|strong="G0630"; for|strong="G3754" she crieth|strong="G2896" after|strong="G3693" us|strong="G2257".
24 But|strong="G1161" he answered|strong="G0611" and said|strong="G2036", \+w I am|strong="G0649"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w sent|strong="G0649"\+w* \+w but|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w unto|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the lost|strong="G0622"\+w* \+w sheep|strong="G4263"\+w* \+w of the house|strong="G3624"\+w* \+w of Israel|strong="G2474"\+w*.
25 Then|strong="G1161" came she|strong="G2064" and worshipped|strong="G4352" him|strong="G0846", saying|strong="G3004", Lord|strong="G2962", help|strong="G0997" me|strong="G3427".
26 But|strong="G1161" he answered|strong="G0611" and said|strong="G2036", \+w It is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w meet|strong="G2570"\+w* \+w to take|strong="G2983"\+w* \+w the children’s|strong="G5043"\+w* \+w bread|strong="G0740"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w to cast|strong="G0906"\+w* \+add it\+add* \+w to dogs|strong="G2952"\+w*.
27 And|strong="G1161" she said|strong="G2036", Truth|strong="G3483", Lord|strong="G2962": yet|strong="G1063" the dogs|strong="G2952" eat|strong="G2068" of|strong="G0575" the crumbs|strong="G5589" which fall|strong="G4098" from|strong="G0575" their|strong="G0846" masters’|strong="G2962" table|strong="G5132".
28 Then|strong="G5119" Jesus|strong="G2424" answered|strong="G0611" and said|strong="G2036" unto her|strong="G0846", \+w O|strong="G5599"\+w* \+w woman|strong="G1135"\+w*, \+w great|strong="G3173"\+w* \+add is\+add* \+w thy|strong="G4675"\+w* \+w faith|strong="G4102"\+w*: \+w be it|strong="G1096"\+w* \+w unto thee|strong="G4671"\+w* \+w even as|strong="G5613"\+w* \+w thou wilt|strong="G2309"\+w*. And|strong="G2532" her|strong="G0846" daughter|strong="G2364" was made whole|strong="G2390" from|strong="G0575" that very|strong="G1565" hour|strong="G5610".
29 And|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G2424" departed|strong="G3327" from thence|strong="G1564", and came|strong="G2064" nigh|strong="G3844" unto the sea|strong="G2281" of Galilee|strong="G1056"; and|strong="G2532" went up|strong="G0305" into|strong="G1519" a mountain|strong="G3735", and sat down|strong="G2521" there|strong="G1563".
30 And|strong="G2532" great|strong="G4183" multitudes|strong="G3793" came unto|strong="G4334" him|strong="G0846", having|strong="G2192" with|strong="G3326" them|strong="G1438" those that were lame|strong="G5560", blind|strong="G5185", dumb|strong="G2974", maimed|strong="G2948", and|strong="G2532" many|strong="G4183" others|strong="G2087", and|strong="G2532" cast|strong="G4496" them|strong="G0846" down|strong="G4496" at|strong="G3844" Jesus’|strong="G2424" feet|strong="G4228"; and|strong="G2532" he healed|strong="G2323" them|strong="G0846":
31 Insomuch that|strong="G5620" the multitude|strong="G3793" wondered|strong="G2296", when they saw|strong="G0991" the dumb|strong="G2974" to speak|strong="G2980", the maimed|strong="G2948" to be whole|strong="G5199", the lame|strong="G5560" to walk|strong="G4043", and|strong="G2532" the blind|strong="G5185" to see|strong="G0991": and|strong="G2532" they glorified|strong="G1392" the God|strong="G2316" of Israel|strong="G2474".
32 Then|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" called|strong="G4341" his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101" unto him, and said|strong="G2036", \+w I have compassion|strong="G4697"\+w* \+w on|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w the multitude|strong="G3793"\+w*, \+w because|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w they continue with|strong="G4357"\+w* \+w me|strong="G3427"\+w* \+w now|strong="G2235"\+w* \+w three|strong="G5140"\+w* \+w days|strong="G2250"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w have|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w nothing|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w to|strong="G5101"\+w* \+w eat|strong="G5315"\+w*: \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w I will|strong="G2309"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w send|strong="G0630"\+w* \+w them|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w away|strong="G0630"\+w* \+w fasting|strong="G3523"\+w*, \+w lest|strong="G3379"\+w* \+w they faint|strong="G1590"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w the way|strong="G3598"\+w*.
33 And|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101" say|strong="G3004" unto him|strong="G0846", Whence|strong="G4159" should we have|strong="G2254" so much|strong="G5118" bread|strong="G0740" in|strong="G1722" the wilderness|strong="G2047", as|strong="G5620" to fill|strong="G5526" so great|strong="G5118" a multitude|strong="G3793"?
34 And|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G2424" saith|strong="G3004" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w How many|strong="G4214"\+w* \+w loaves|strong="G0740"\+w* \+w have ye|strong="G2192"\+w*? And|strong="G1161" they said|strong="G2036", Seven|strong="G2033", and|strong="G2532" a few|strong="G3641" little fishes|strong="G2485".
35 And|strong="G2532" he commanded|strong="G2753" the multitude|strong="G3793" to sit down|strong="G0377" on|strong="G1909" the ground|strong="G1093".
36 And|strong="G2532" he took|strong="G2983" the|strong="G0740" seven|strong="G2033" loaves|strong="G0740" and|strong="G2532" the fishes|strong="G2486", and gave thanks|strong="G2168", and brake|strong="G2806" them, and|strong="G2532" gave|strong="G1325" to|strong="G3101" his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101", and|strong="G1161" the disciples|strong="G3101" to the multitude|strong="G3793".
37 And|strong="G2532" they did|strong="G5315" all|strong="G3956" eat|strong="G5315", and|strong="G2532" were filled|strong="G5526": and|strong="G2532" they took up|strong="G0142" of the broken|strong="G2801" meat that was left|strong="G4052" seven|strong="G2033" baskets|strong="G4711" full|strong="G4134".
38 And|strong="G1161" they that did eat|strong="G2068" were|strong="G2258" four thousand|strong="G5070" men|strong="G0435", beside|strong="G5565" women|strong="G1135" and|strong="G2532" children|strong="G3813".
39 And|strong="G2532" he sent away|strong="G0630" the multitude|strong="G3793", and took|strong="G1684" ship|strong="G4143", and|strong="G2532" came|strong="G2064" into|strong="G1519" the coasts|strong="G3725" of Magdala|strong="G3093".
