Miquéias 7

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

Woe|strong="H0480" is me! for I am as when they have gathered|strong="H0625" the summer fruits|strong="H7019", as the grapegleanings|strong="H5955" of the vintage|strong="H1210": there is no cluster|strong="H0811" to eat|strong="H0398": my soul|strong="H5315" desired|strong="H0183" the firstripe fruit|strong="H1063".

The good|strong="H2623" man is perished|strong="H0006" out of the earth|strong="H0776": and there is none upright|strong="H3477" among men|strong="H0120": they all lie in wait|strong="H0693" for blood|strong="H1818"; they hunt|strong="H6679" every man|strong="H0376" his brother|strong="H0251" with a net|strong="H2764".

That they may do evil|strong="H7451" with both hands|strong="H3709" earnestly|strong="H3190", the prince|strong="H8269" asketh|strong="H7592", and the judge|strong="H8199" asketh for a reward|strong="H7966"; and the great|strong="H1419" man, he uttereth|strong="H1696" his mischievous|strong="H1942" desire|strong="H5315": so they wrap it up|strong="H5686".

The best|strong="H2896" of them is as a brier|strong="H2312": the most upright|strong="H3477" is sharper than a thorn hedge|strong="H4534": the day|strong="H3117" of thy watchmen|strong="H6822" and thy visitation|strong="H6486" cometh|strong="H0935"; now shall be their perplexity|strong="H3998".

Trust|strong="H0539" ye not in a friend|strong="H7453", put ye not confidence|strong="H0982" in a guide|strong="H0441": keep|strong="H8104" the doors|strong="H6607" of thy mouth|strong="H6310" from her that lieth|strong="H7901" in thy bosom|strong="H2436".

For the son|strong="H1121" dishonoureth|strong="H5034" the father|strong="H0001", the daughter|strong="H1323" riseth up|strong="H6965" against her mother|strong="H0517", the daughter in law|strong="H3618" against her mother in law|strong="H2545"; a man’s|strong="H0376" enemies|strong="H0341" are the men|strong="H0582" of his own house|strong="H1004".

Therefore I will look|strong="H6822" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; I will wait|strong="H3176" for the God|strong="H0430" of my salvation|strong="H3468": my God|strong="H0430" will hear|strong="H8085" me.

Rejoice|strong="H8055" not against me, O mine enemy|strong="H0341": when I fall|strong="H5307", I shall arise|strong="H6965"; when I sit|strong="H3427" in darkness|strong="H2822", the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* shall be a light|strong="H0216" unto me.

I will bear|strong="H5375" the indignation|strong="H2197" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, because I have sinned|strong="H2398" against him, until he plead|strong="H7378" my cause|strong="H7379", and execute|strong="H6213" judgment|strong="H4941" for me: he will bring me forth|strong="H3318" to the light|strong="H0216", and I shall behold|strong="H7200" his righteousness|strong="H6666".

Then she that is mine enemy|strong="H0341" shall see|strong="H7200" it, and shame|strong="H0955" shall cover|strong="H3680" her which said|strong="H0559" unto me, Where is the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430"? mine eyes|strong="H5869" shall behold|strong="H7200" her: now shall she be trodden down|strong="H4823" as the mire|strong="H2916" of the streets|strong="H2351".

In the day|strong="H3117" that thy walls|strong="H1447" are to be built|strong="H1129", in that day|strong="H3117" shall the decree|strong="H2706" be far removed|strong="H7368".

In that day|strong="H3117" also he shall come|strong="H0935" even to thee from Assyria|strong="H0804", and from the fortified|strong="H4693" cities|strong="H5892", and from the fortress|strong="H4693" even to the river|strong="H5104", and from sea|strong="H3220" to sea|strong="H3220", and from mountain|strong="H2022" to mountain|strong="H2022".

Notwithstanding the land|strong="H0776" shall be desolate|strong="H8077" because of them that dwell|strong="H3427" therein, for the fruit|strong="H6529" of their doings|strong="H4611".

Feed|strong="H7462" thy people|strong="H5971" with thy rod|strong="H7626", the flock|strong="H6629" of thine heritage|strong="H5159", which dwell|strong="H7931" solitarily|strong="H0910" in the wood|strong="H3293", in the midst|strong="H8432" of Carmel|strong="H3760": let them feed|strong="H7462" in Bashan|strong="H1316" and Gilead|strong="H1568", as in the days|strong="H3117" of old|strong="H5769".

According to the days|strong="H3117" of thy coming|strong="H3318" out of the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714" will I shew|strong="H7200" unto him marvellous|strong="H6381" things.

The nations|strong="H1471" shall see|strong="H7200" and be confounded|strong="H0954" at all their might|strong="H1369": they shall lay|strong="H7760" their hand|strong="H3027" upon their mouth|strong="H6310", their ears|strong="H0241" shall be deaf|strong="H2790".

They shall lick|strong="H3897" the dust|strong="H6083" like a serpent|strong="H5175", they shall move|strong="H7264" out of their holes|strong="H4526" like worms|strong="H2119" of the earth|strong="H0776": they shall be afraid|strong="H6342" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* our God|strong="H0430", and shall fear|strong="H3372" because of thee.

Who is a God|strong="H0410" like unto thee, that pardoneth|strong="H5375" iniquity|strong="H5771", and passeth by|strong="H5674" the transgression|strong="H6588" of the remnant|strong="H7611" of his heritage|strong="H5159"? he retaineth|strong="H2388" not his anger|strong="H0639" for ever|strong="H5703", because he delighteth|strong="H2654" in mercy|strong="H2617".

He will turn again|strong="H7725", he will have compassion|strong="H7355" upon us; he will subdue|strong="H3533" our iniquities|strong="H5771"; and thou wilt cast|strong="H7993" all their sins|strong="H2403" into the depths|strong="H4688" of the sea|strong="H3220".

Thou wilt perform|strong="H5414" the truth|strong="H0571" to Jacob|strong="H3290", and the mercy|strong="H2617" to Abraham|strong="H0085", which thou hast sworn|strong="H7650" unto our fathers|strong="H0001" from the days|strong="H3117" of old|strong="H6924".
