2 And|strong="G1161" they began|strong="G0756" to accuse|strong="G2723" him|strong="G0846", saying|strong="G3004", We found|strong="G2147" this|strong="G5126" fellow perverting|strong="G1294" the nation|strong="G1484", and|strong="G2532" forbidding|strong="G2967" to give|strong="G1325" tribute|strong="G5411" to Cæsar|strong="G2541", saying|strong="G3004" that he himself|strong="G1438" is|strong="G1511" Christ|strong="G5547" a King|strong="G0935".
3 And|strong="G1161" Pilate|strong="G4091" asked|strong="G1905" him|strong="G0846", saying|strong="G3004", Art|strong="G1488" thou|strong="G4771" the King|strong="G0935" of the Jews|strong="G2453"? And|strong="G1161" he answered|strong="G0611" him|strong="G0846" and said|strong="G5346", \+w Thou|strong="G4771"\+w* \+w sayest|strong="G3004"\+w* \+add it\+add*.
4 Then|strong="G1161" said|strong="G2036" Pilate|strong="G4091" to|strong="G4314" the chief priests|strong="G0749" and|strong="G2532" to the people|strong="G3793", I find|strong="G2147" no|strong="G3762" fault|strong="G0158" in|strong="G1722" this|strong="G5129" man|strong="G0444".
5 And|strong="G1161" they were the more fierce|strong="G2001", saying|strong="G3004", He stirreth up|strong="G0383" the people|strong="G2992", teaching|strong="G1321" throughout|strong="G2596" all|strong="G3650" Jewry|strong="G2449", beginning|strong="G0756" from|strong="G0575" Galilee|strong="G1056" to|strong="G2193" this place|strong="G5602".
6 When|strong="G1161" Pilate|strong="G4091" heard|strong="G0191" of Galilee|strong="G1056", he asked|strong="G1905" whether|strong="G1487" the man|strong="G0444" were|strong="G2076" a Galilæan|strong="G1057".
7 And|strong="G2532" as soon as he knew|strong="G1921" that|strong="G3754" he belonged|strong="G2076" unto|strong="G1537" Herod’s|strong="G2264" jurisdiction|strong="G1849", he sent|strong="G0375" him|strong="G0846" to|strong="G4314" Herod|strong="G2264", who himself|strong="G0846" also|strong="G2532" was|strong="G5607" at|strong="G1722" Jerusalem|strong="G2414" at|strong="G1722" that|strong="G3778" time|strong="G2250".
8 And when|strong="G1161" Herod|strong="G2264" saw|strong="G1492" Jesus|strong="G2424", he was|strong="G5463" exceeding|strong="G3029" glad|strong="G5463": for|strong="G1063" he was|strong="G2258" desirous|strong="G2309" to see|strong="G1492" him|strong="G0846" of|strong="G1537" a long|strong="G2425" season, because|strong="G1223" he had heard|strong="G0191" many things|strong="G4183" of|strong="G4012" him|strong="G0846"; and|strong="G2532" he hoped|strong="G1679" to have seen|strong="G1492" some|strong="G5100" miracle|strong="G4592" done|strong="G1096" by|strong="G5259" him|strong="G0846".
9 Then|strong="G1161" he|strong="G0846" questioned|strong="G1905" with him|strong="G0846" in|strong="G1722" many|strong="G2425" words|strong="G3056"; but|strong="G1161" he answered|strong="G0611" him|strong="G0846" nothing|strong="G3762".
10 And|strong="G1161" the chief priests|strong="G0749" and|strong="G2532" scribes|strong="G1122" stood|strong="G2476" and|strong="G2723" vehemently|strong="G2159" accused|strong="G2723" him|strong="G0846".
11 And|strong="G1161" Herod|strong="G2264" with|strong="G4862" his|strong="G0846" men of war|strong="G4753" set|strong="G1848" him|strong="G0846" at nought|strong="G1848", and|strong="G2532" mocked|strong="G1702" him, and arrayed|strong="G4016" him|strong="G0846" in a gorgeous|strong="G2986" robe|strong="G2066", and sent|strong="G0375" him|strong="G0846" again|strong="G0375" to Pilate|strong="G4091".
12 And|strong="G1161" the same|strong="G0846" day|strong="G2250" Pilate|strong="G4091" and|strong="G2532" Herod|strong="G2264" were made|strong="G1096" friends|strong="G5384" together|strong="G0240": for|strong="G1063" before|strong="G4391" they were|strong="G5607" at|strong="G1722" enmity|strong="G2189" between|strong="G4314" themselves|strong="G1438".
13 And|strong="G1161" Pilate|strong="G4091", when he had called together|strong="G4779" the chief priests|strong="G0749" and|strong="G2532" the rulers|strong="G0758" and|strong="G2532" the people|strong="G2992",
14 Said|strong="G2036" unto|strong="G4314" them|strong="G0846", Ye have brought|strong="G4374" this|strong="G5126" man|strong="G0444" unto me|strong="G3427", as|strong="G5613" one that perverteth|strong="G0654" the people|strong="G2992": and|strong="G2532", behold|strong="G2400", I|strong="G1473", having examined|strong="G0350" him before|strong="G1799" you|strong="G5216", have found|strong="G2147" no|strong="G3762" fault|strong="G0158" in|strong="G1722" this|strong="G5129" man|strong="G0444" touching those things whereof|strong="G3739" ye accuse|strong="G2723" him|strong="G0846":
15 No|strong="G0235", nor yet|strong="G3761" Herod|strong="G2264": for|strong="G1063" I sent|strong="G0375" you|strong="G5209" to|strong="G4314" him|strong="G0846"; and|strong="G2532", lo|strong="G2400", nothing|strong="G3762" worthy|strong="G0514" of death|strong="G2288" is|strong="G2076" done|strong="G4238" unto him|strong="G0846".
16 I will|strong="G3811" therefore|strong="G3767" chastise|strong="G3811" him|strong="G0846", and release|strong="G0630" him.

18 And|strong="G1161" they cried out|strong="G0349" all at once|strong="G3826", saying|strong="G3004", Away with|strong="G0142" this|strong="G5126" man, and|strong="G1161" release|strong="G0630" unto us|strong="G2254" Barabbas|strong="G0912":
19 (Who|strong="G3748" for|strong="G1223" a certain|strong="G5100" sedition|strong="G4714" made|strong="G1096" in|strong="G1722" the city|strong="G4172", and|strong="G2532" for murder|strong="G5408", was cast|strong="G0906" into|strong="G1519" prison|strong="G5438".)

23 And|strong="G1161" they were instant|strong="G1945" with loud|strong="G3173" voices|strong="G5456", requiring|strong="G0154" that|strong="G4717" he|strong="G0846" might be crucified|strong="G4717". And|strong="G2532" the voices|strong="G5456" of them|strong="G0846" and|strong="G2532" of the chief priests|strong="G0749" prevailed|strong="G2729".
24 And|strong="G1161" Pilate|strong="G4091" gave sentence|strong="G1948" that it should be|strong="G1096" as they|strong="G0846" required|strong="G0155".
25 And|strong="G1161" he released|strong="G0630" unto them|strong="G0846" him that|strong="G3588" for|strong="G1223" sedition|strong="G4714" and|strong="G2532" murder|strong="G5408" was cast|strong="G0906" into|strong="G1519" prison|strong="G5438", whom|strong="G3739" they had desired|strong="G0154"; but|strong="G1161" he delivered|strong="G3860" Jesus|strong="G2424" to their|strong="G0846" will|strong="G2307".
26 And|strong="G2532" as|strong="G5613" they led|strong="G0520" him|strong="G0846" away|strong="G0520", they laid hold upon|strong="G1949" one|strong="G5100" Simon|strong="G4613", a Cyrenian|strong="G2956", coming out|strong="G2064" of|strong="G0575" the country|strong="G0068", and|strong="G2007" on him|strong="G0846" they laid|strong="G2007" the cross|strong="G4716", that he might bear|strong="G5342" it after|strong="G3693" Jesus|strong="G2424".
27 And|strong="G1161" there followed|strong="G0190" him|strong="G0846" a great|strong="G4183" company|strong="G4128" of people|strong="G2992", and|strong="G2532" of women|strong="G1135", which|strong="G3739" also|strong="G2532" bewailed|strong="G2875" and|strong="G2532" lamented|strong="G2354" him|strong="G0846".
28 But|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" turning|strong="G4762" unto|strong="G4314" them|strong="G0846" said|strong="G2036", \+w Daughters|strong="G2364"\+w* \+w of Jerusalem|strong="G2419"\+w*, \+w weep|strong="G2799"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w for|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w me|strong="G1691"\+w*, \+w but|strong="G4133"\+w* \+w weep|strong="G2799"\+w* \+w for yourselves|strong="G1438"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w for|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w your|strong="G5216"\+w* \+w children|strong="G5043"\+w*.
29 \+w For|strong="G3754"\+w*, \+w behold|strong="G2400"\+w*, \+w the days|strong="G2250"\+w* \+w are coming|strong="G2064"\+w*, \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w the which|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w they shall say|strong="G2046"\+w*, \+w Blessed|strong="G3107"\+w* \+add are\+add* \+w the barren|strong="G4723"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w the wombs|strong="G2836"\+w* \+w that|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w never|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w bare|strong="G1080"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w the paps|strong="G3149"\+w* \+w which|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w never|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w gave suck|strong="G2337"\+w*.
30 \+w Then|strong="G5119"\+w* \+w shall they begin|strong="G0756"\+w* \+w to say|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w to the mountains|strong="G3735"\+w*, \+w Fall|strong="G4098"\+w* \+w on|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w us|strong="G2248"\+w*; \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w to the hills|strong="G1015"\+w*, \+w Cover|strong="G2572"\+w* \+w us|strong="G2248"\+w*.
31 \+w For|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w if|strong="G1487"\+w* \+w they do|strong="G4160"\+w* \+w these things|strong="G5023"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w a green|strong="G5200"\+w* \+w tree|strong="G3586"\+w*, \+w what|strong="G5101"\+w* \+w shall be done|strong="G1096"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w the dry|strong="G3584"\+w*?
32 And|strong="G1161" there were|strong="G0071" also|strong="G2532" two|strong="G1417" other|strong="G2087", malefactors|strong="G2557", led with|strong="G4862" him|strong="G0846" to be put to death|strong="G0337".
33 And|strong="G2532" when|strong="G3753" they were come|strong="G0565" to|strong="G1909" the place|strong="G5117", which|strong="G3588" is called|strong="G2564" Calvary|strong="G2898", there|strong="G1563" they crucified|strong="G4717" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" the malefactors|strong="G2557", one|strong="G3739" on|strong="G1537" the right hand|strong="G1188", and|strong="G1161" the other|strong="G3739" on|strong="G1537" the left|strong="G0710".
34 Then|strong="G1161" said|strong="G3004" Jesus|strong="G2424", \+w Father|strong="G3962"\+w*, \+w forgive|strong="G0863"\+w* \+w them|strong="G0846"\+w*; \+w for|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w they know|strong="G1492"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w what|strong="G5101"\+w* \+w they do|strong="G4160"\+w*. And|strong="G1161" they parted|strong="G1266" his|strong="G0846" raiment|strong="G2440", and cast|strong="G0906" lots|strong="G2819".
35 And|strong="G2532" the people|strong="G2992" stood|strong="G2476" beholding|strong="G2334". And|strong="G1161" the rulers|strong="G0758" also|strong="G2532" with|strong="G4862" them|strong="G0846" derided|strong="G1592" him, saying|strong="G3004", He saved|strong="G4982" others|strong="G0243"; let him save|strong="G4982" himself|strong="G1438", if|strong="G1487" he|strong="G3778" be|strong="G2076" Christ|strong="G5547", the chosen|strong="G1588" of God|strong="G2316".
36 And|strong="G1161" the soldiers|strong="G4757" also|strong="G2532" mocked|strong="G1702" him|strong="G0846", coming to|strong="G4334" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" offering him|strong="G4374" vinegar|strong="G3690",
37 And|strong="G2532" saying|strong="G3004", If|strong="G1487" thou|strong="G4771" be|strong="G1488" the king|strong="G0935" of the Jews|strong="G2453", save|strong="G4982" thyself|strong="G4572".
38 And|strong="G1161" a superscription|strong="G1923" also|strong="G2532" was|strong="G2258" written|strong="G1125" over|strong="G1909" him|strong="G0846" in letters|strong="G1121" of Greek|strong="G1673", and|strong="G2532" Latin|strong="G4513", and|strong="G2532" Hebrew|strong="G1444", THIS|strong="G3778" IS|strong="G2076" THE KING|strong="G0935" OF THE JEWS|strong="G2453".
39 And|strong="G1161" one|strong="G1520" of the malefactors|strong="G2557" which|strong="G3588" were hanged|strong="G2910" railed|strong="G0987" on him|strong="G0846", saying|strong="G3004", If|strong="G1487" thou|strong="G4771" be|strong="G1488" Christ|strong="G5547", save|strong="G4982" thyself|strong="G4572" and|strong="G2532" us|strong="G2248".
40 But|strong="G1161" the other|strong="G2087" answering|strong="G0611" rebuked|strong="G2008" him|strong="G0846", saying|strong="G3004", Dost|strong="G5399" not|strong="G3761" thou|strong="G4771" fear|strong="G5399" God|strong="G2316", seeing|strong="G3754" thou art|strong="G1488" in|strong="G1722" the same|strong="G0846" condemnation|strong="G2917"?
41 And|strong="G2532" we|strong="G2249" indeed|strong="G3303" justly|strong="G1346"; for|strong="G1063" we receive|strong="G0618" the due reward|strong="G0514" of our deeds|strong="G4238": but|strong="G1161" this man|strong="G3778" hath done|strong="G4238" nothing|strong="G3762" amiss|strong="G0824".
42 And|strong="G2532" he said|strong="G3004" unto Jesus|strong="G2424", Lord|strong="G2962", remember|strong="G3415" me|strong="G3450" when|strong="G3752" thou comest|strong="G2064" into|strong="G1722" thy|strong="G4675" kingdom|strong="G0932".

50 And|strong="G2532", behold|strong="G2400", there was a man|strong="G0435" named|strong="G3686" Joseph|strong="G2501", a counsellor|strong="G1010"; and he was a good|strong="G0018" man|strong="G0435", and|strong="G2532" a just|strong="G1342":
51 (The same|strong="G3778" had|strong="G2258" not|strong="G3756" consented|strong="G4784" to the counsel|strong="G1012" and|strong="G2532" deed|strong="G4234" of them|strong="G0846";) he was of|strong="G0575" Arimathæa|strong="G0707", a city|strong="G4172" of the Jews|strong="G2453": who|strong="G3739" also|strong="G2532" himself|strong="G0846" waited|strong="G4327" for|strong="G2532" the kingdom|strong="G0932" of God|strong="G2316".
52 This|strong="G3778" man went|strong="G4334" unto Pilate|strong="G4091", and begged|strong="G0154" the body|strong="G4983" of Jesus|strong="G2424".
53 And|strong="G2532" he|strong="G0846" took it down|strong="G2507", and wrapped|strong="G1794" it|strong="G0846" in linen|strong="G4616", and|strong="G2532" laid|strong="G5087" it|strong="G0846" in|strong="G1722" a sepulchre|strong="G3418" that was hewn in stone|strong="G2991", wherein|strong="G3757" never|strong="G3756" man|strong="G3762" before|strong="G3764" was|strong="G2258" laid|strong="G2749".
54 And|strong="G2532" that day|strong="G2250" was|strong="G2258" the preparation|strong="G3904", and|strong="G2532" the sabbath|strong="G4521" drew on|strong="G2020".
55 And|strong="G1161" the women|strong="G1135" also|strong="G2532", which|strong="G3748" came|strong="G4905" with him|strong="G0846" from|strong="G1537" Galilee|strong="G1056", followed after|strong="G2628", and beheld|strong="G2300" the sepulchre|strong="G3419", and|strong="G2532" how|strong="G5613" his|strong="G0846" body|strong="G4983" was laid|strong="G5087".
56 And|strong="G1161" they returned|strong="G5290", and prepared|strong="G2090" spices|strong="G0759" and|strong="G2532" ointments|strong="G3464"; and|strong="G2532" rested|strong="G2270" the|strong="G3303" sabbath day|strong="G4521" according to|strong="G2596" the commandment|strong="G1785".
