1 Contou-lhes também uma parábola sobre o dever de orar sempre, e nunca desfalecer.

2 dizendo: Havia em certa cidade um juiz que não temia a Deus, nem respeitava os homens.

3 Havia também naquela mesma cidade uma viúva que ia ter com ele, dizendo: Faze-me justiça contra o meu adversário.

4 E por algum tempo não quis atendê-la; mas depois disse consigo: Ainda que não temo a Deus, nem respeito os homens,

5 todavia, como esta viúva me incomoda, hei de fazer-lhe justiça, para que ela não continue a vir molestar-me.

6 Prosseguiu o Senhor: Ouvi o que diz esse juiz injusto.
7 \+w And|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w shall|strong="G4160"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w God|strong="G2316"\+w* \+w avenge|strong="G1557"\+w* \+w his own|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w elect|strong="G1588"\+w*, \+w which|strong="G3588"\+w* \+w cry|strong="G0994"\+w* \+w day|strong="G2250"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w night|strong="G3571"\+w* \+w unto|strong="G4314"\+w* \+w him|strong="G0846"\+w*, \+w though|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w he bear long|strong="G3114"\+w* \+w with|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w them|strong="G0846"\+w*?
7 E não fará Deus justiça aos seus escolhidos, que dia e noite clamam a ele, já que é longânimo para com eles?
8 \+w I tell|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w you|strong="G5213"\+w* \+w that|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w he will|strong="G4160"\+w* \+w avenge|strong="G1557"\+w* \+w them|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w speedily|strong="G5034"\+w*. \+w Nevertheless when|strong="G4133"\+w* \+w the Son|strong="G5207"\+w* \+w of man|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w cometh|strong="G2064"\+w*, \+w shall|strong="G0687"\+w* \+w he find|strong="G2147"\+w* \+w faith|strong="G4102"\+w* \+w on|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w the earth|strong="G1093"\+w*?
8 Digo-vos que depressa lhes fará justiça. Contudo quando vier o Filho do homem, porventura achará fé na terra?
9 And|strong="G1161" he spake|strong="G2036" this|strong="G3778" parable|strong="G3850" unto|strong="G4314" certain|strong="G5100" which|strong="G3588" trusted|strong="G3982" in|strong="G1909" themselves|strong="G1438" that|strong="G3754" they were|strong="G1526" righteous|strong="G1342", and|strong="G2532" despised|strong="G1848" others|strong="G3062":
9 Propôs também esta parábola a uns que confiavam em si mesmos, crendo que eram justos, e desprezavam os outros:
10 \+w Two|strong="G1417"\+w* \+w men|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w went up|strong="G0305"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the temple|strong="G2411"\+w* \+w to pray|strong="G4336"\+w*; \+w the one|strong="G1520"\+w* \+w a Pharisee|strong="G5330"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w the other|strong="G2087"\+w* \+w a publican|strong="G5057"\+w*.
10 Dois homens subiram ao templo para orar; um fariseu, e o outro publicano.

11 O fariseu, de pé, assim orava consigo mesmo: ó Deus, graças te dou que não sou como os demais homens, roubadores, injustos, adúlteros, nem ainda com este publicano.
12 \+w I fast|strong="G3522"\+w* \+w twice|strong="G1364"\+w* \+w in the week|strong="G4521"\+w*, \+w I give tithes|strong="G0586"\+w* \+w of all|strong="G3956"\+w* \+w that|strong="G3745"\+w* \+w I possess|strong="G2932"\+w*.
12 Jejuo duas vezes na semana, e dou o dízimo de tudo quanto ganho.
13 \+w And|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w the publican|strong="G5057"\+w*, \+w standing|strong="G2476"\+w* \+w afar off|strong="G3113"\+w*, \+w would|strong="G2309"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w lift up|strong="G1869"\+w* \+w so much as|strong="G3761"\+w* \+add his\+add* \+w eyes|strong="G3788"\+w* \+w unto|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w heaven|strong="G3772"\+w*, \+w but|strong="G0235"\+w* \+w smote|strong="G5180"\+w* \+w upon|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w his|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w breast|strong="G4738"\+w*, \+w saying|strong="G3004"\+w*, \+w God|strong="G2316"\+w* \+w be merciful|strong="G2433"\+w* \+w to me|strong="G3427"\+w* \+w a sinner|strong="G0268"\+w*.
13 Mas o publicano, estando em pé de longe, nem ainda queria levantar os olhos ao céu, mas batia no peito, dizendo: ó Deus, sê propício a mim, o pecador!
14 \+w I tell|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w you|strong="G5213"\+w*, \+w this man|strong="G3778"\+w* \+w went down|strong="G2597"\+w* \+w to|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w his|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w house|strong="G3624"\+w* \+w justified|strong="G1344"\+w* \+add rather\+add* \+w than|strong="G2228"\+w* \+w the other|strong="G1565"\+w*: \+w for|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w every one|strong="G3956"\+w* \+w that|strong="G3588"\+w* \+w exalteth|strong="G5312"\+w* \+w himself|strong="G1438"\+w* \+w shall be abased|strong="G5013"\+w*; \+w and|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w he that|strong="G3588"\+w* \+w humbleth|strong="G5013"\+w* \+w himself|strong="G1438"\+w* \+w shall be exalted|strong="G5312"\+w*.
14 Digo-vos que este desceu justificado para sua casa, e não aquele; porque todo o que a si mesmo se exaltar será humilhado; mas o que a si mesmo se humilhar será exaltado.
15 And|strong="G1161" they brought|strong="G4374" unto him|strong="G0846" also|strong="G2532" infants|strong="G1025", that|strong="G2443" he would touch|strong="G0680" them|strong="G0846": but when|strong="G1161" his disciples|strong="G3101" saw|strong="G1492" it, they rebuked|strong="G2008" them|strong="G0846".
15 Traziam-lhe também as crianças, para que as tocasse; mas os discípulos, vendo isso, os repreendiam.
16 But|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" called|strong="G4341" them|strong="G0846" unto him, and said|strong="G2036", \+w Suffer|strong="G0863"\+w* \+w little children|strong="G3813"\+w* \+w to come|strong="G2064"\+w* \+w unto|strong="G4314"\+w* \+w me|strong="G3165"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w forbid|strong="G2967"\+w* \+w them|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w*: \+w for|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w of such|strong="G5108"\+w* \+w is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w the kingdom|strong="G0932"\+w* \+w of God|strong="G2316"\+w*.
16 Jesus, porém, chamando-as para si, disse: Deixai vir a mim as crianças, e não as impeçais, porque de tais é o reino de Deus.
17 \+w Verily|strong="G0281"\+w* \+w I say|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w unto you|strong="G5213"\+w*, \+w Whosoever|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w shall|strong="G1209"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w receive|strong="G1209"\+w* \+w the kingdom|strong="G0932"\+w* \+w of God|strong="G2316"\+w* \+w as|strong="G5613"\+w* \+w a little child|strong="G3813"\+w* \+w shall|strong="G1525"\+w* \+w in|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w no wise|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w enter|strong="G1525"\+w* \+w therein|strong="G0846"\+w*.
17 Em verdade vos digo que, qualquer que não receber o reino de Deus como criança, de modo algum entrará nele.
18 And|strong="G2532" a certain|strong="G5100" ruler|strong="G0758" asked|strong="G1905" him|strong="G0846", saying|strong="G3004", Good|strong="G0018" Master|strong="G1320", what|strong="G5101" shall I do|strong="G4160" to inherit|strong="G2816" eternal|strong="G0166" life|strong="G2222"?
18 E perguntou-lhe um dos principais: Bom Mestre, que hei de fazer para herdar a vida eterna?
19 And|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G2036" unto him|strong="G0846", \+w Why|strong="G5101"\+w* \+w callest thou|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w me|strong="G3165"\+w* \+w good|strong="G0018"\+w*? \+w none|strong="G3762"\+w* \+add is\+add* \+w good|strong="G0018"\+w*, \+w save|strong="G1487"\+w* \+w one|strong="G1520"\+w*, \+add that is\+add*, \+w God|strong="G2316"\+w*.
19 Respondeu-lhe Jesus: Por que me chamas bom? Ninguém é bom, senão um, que é Deus.
20 \+w Thou knowest|strong="G1492"\+w* \+w the commandments|strong="G1785"\+w*, \+w Do|strong="G3431"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w commit adultery|strong="G3431"\+w*, \+w Do|strong="G5407"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w kill|strong="G5407"\+w*, \+w Do|strong="G2813"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w steal|strong="G2813"\+w*, \+w Do|strong="G5576"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w bear false witness|strong="G5576"\+w*, \+w Honour|strong="G5091"\+w* \+w thy|strong="G4675"\+w* \+w father|strong="G3962"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w thy|strong="G4675"\+w* \+w mother|strong="G3384"\+w*.
20 Sabes os mandamentos: Não adulterarás; não matarás; não furtarás; não dirás falso testemunho; honra a teu pai e a tua mãe.
21 And|strong="G1161" he said|strong="G2036", All|strong="G3956" these|strong="G5023" have I kept|strong="G5442" from|strong="G1537" my|strong="G3450" youth up|strong="G3503".
21 Replicou o homem: Tudo isso tenho guardado desde a minha juventude.
22 Now when|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" heard|strong="G0191" these things|strong="G5023", he said|strong="G2036" unto him|strong="G0846", \+w Yet|strong="G2089"\+w* \+w lackest|strong="G3007"\+w* \+w thou|strong="G4671"\+w* \+w one thing|strong="G1520"\+w*: \+w sell|strong="G4453"\+w* \+w all|strong="G3956"\+w* \+w that|strong="G3745"\+w* \+w thou hast|strong="G2192"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w distribute|strong="G1239"\+w* \+w unto the poor|strong="G4434"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w thou shalt have|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w treasure|strong="G2344"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w heaven|strong="G3772"\+w*: \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w come|strong="G1204"\+w*, \+w follow|strong="G0190"\+w* \+w me|strong="G3427"\+w*.
22 Quando Jesus ouviu isso, disse-lhe: Ainda te falta uma coisa; vende tudo quanto tens e reparte-o pelos pobres, e terás um tesouro no céu; e vem, segue-me.
23 And when|strong="G1161" he heard|strong="G0191" this|strong="G5023", he was|strong="G1096" very sorrowful|strong="G4036": for|strong="G1063" he was|strong="G2258" very|strong="G4970" rich|strong="G4145".
23 Mas, ouvindo ele isso, encheu-se de tristeza; porque era muito rico.
24 And when|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" saw that|strong="G1492" he|strong="G0846" was|strong="G1096" very sorrowful|strong="G4036", he said|strong="G2036", \+w How|strong="G4459"\+w* \+w hardly|strong="G1423"\+w* \+w shall|strong="G1525"\+w* \+w they that|strong="G3588"\+w* \+w have|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w riches|strong="G5536"\+w* \+w enter|strong="G1525"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the kingdom|strong="G0932"\+w* \+w of God|strong="G2316"\+w*!
24 E Jesus, vendo-o assim, disse: Quão dificilmente entrarão no reino de Deus os que têm riquezas!
25 \+w For|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w it is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w easier for|strong="G2123"\+w* \+w a camel|strong="G2574"\+w* \+w to go|strong="G1525"\+w* \+w through|strong="G1223"\+w* \+w a needle’s|strong="G4476"\+w* \+w eye|strong="G5168"\+w*, \+w than for|strong="G2228"\+w* \+w a rich man|strong="G4145"\+w* \+w to enter|strong="G1525"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the kingdom|strong="G0932"\+w* \+w of God|strong="G2316"\+w*.
25 Pois é mais fácil um camelo passar pelo fundo duma agulha, do que entrar um rico no reino de Deus.
26 And|strong="G1161" they that|strong="G3588" heard|strong="G0191" it said|strong="G2036", Who|strong="G5101" then|strong="G2532" can|strong="G1410" be saved|strong="G4982"?
26 Então os que ouviram isso disseram: Quem pode, então, ser salvo?
27 And|strong="G1161" he said|strong="G2036", \+w The things which|strong="G3588"\+w* \+w are|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w impossible|strong="G0102"\+w* \+w with|strong="G3844"\+w* \+w men|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w are possible|strong="G1415"\+w* \+w with|strong="G3844"\+w* \+w God|strong="G2316"\+w*.
27 Respondeu-lhes: As coisas que são impossíveis aos homens são possíveis a Deus.
28 Then|strong="G1161" Peter|strong="G4074" said|strong="G2036", Lo|strong="G2400", we|strong="G2249" have left|strong="G0863" all|strong="G3956", and|strong="G2532" followed|strong="G0190" thee|strong="G4671".
28 Disse-lhe Pedro: Eis que nós deixamos tudo, e te seguimos.

29 Respondeu-lhes Jesus: Em verdade vos digo que ninguém há que tenha deixado casa, ou mulher, ou irmãos, ou pais, ou filhos, por amor do reino de Deus,
30 \+w Who|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w shall|strong="G0618"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w receive|strong="G0618"\+w* \+w manifold more|strong="G4179"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w this|strong="G5129"\+w* \+w present time|strong="G2540"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w the world|strong="G0165"\+w* \+w to come|strong="G2064"\+w* \+w life|strong="G2222"\+w* \+w everlasting|strong="G0166"\+w*.
30 que não haja de receber no presente muito mais, e no mundo vindouro a vida eterna.
31 Then|strong="G1161" he took|strong="G3880" unto him the twelve|strong="G1427", and said|strong="G2036" unto|strong="G4314" them|strong="G0846", \+w Behold|strong="G2400"\+w*, \+w we go up|strong="G0305"\+w* \+w to|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w Jerusalem|strong="G2414"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w all things|strong="G3956"\+w* \+w that are|strong="G3588"\+w* \+w written|strong="G1125"\+w* \+w by|strong="G1223"\+w* \+w the prophets|strong="G4396"\+w* \+w concerning the Son|strong="G5207"\+w* \+w of man|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w shall be accomplished|strong="G5055"\+w*.
31 Tomando Jesus consigo os doze, disse-lhes: Eis que subimos a Jerusalém e se cumprirá no filho do homem tudo o que pelos profetas foi escrito;
32 \+w For|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w he shall be delivered|strong="G3860"\+w* \+w unto the Gentiles|strong="G1484"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w shall be mocked|strong="G1702"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w spitefully entreated|strong="G5195"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w spitted on|strong="G1716"\+w*:
32 pois será entregue aos gentios, e escarnecido, injuriado e cuspido;
33 \+w And|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w they shall scourge|strong="G3146"\+w* \+add him\+add*, \+w and put|strong="G0615"\+w* \+w him|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w to death|strong="G0615"\+w*: \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w the third|strong="G5154"\+w* \+w day|strong="G2250"\+w* \+w he shall rise again|strong="G0450"\+w*.
33 e depois de o açoitarem, o matarão; e ao terceiro dia ressurgirá.
34 And|strong="G2532" they|strong="G0846" understood|strong="G4920" none|strong="G3762" of these things|strong="G5130": and|strong="G2532" this|strong="G5124" saying|strong="G4487" was|strong="G2258" hid|strong="G2928" from|strong="G0575" them|strong="G0846", neither|strong="G3756" knew they|strong="G1097" the things which|strong="G3588" were spoken|strong="G3004".
34 Mas eles não entenderam nada disso; essas palavras lhes eram obscuras, e não percebiam o que lhes dizia.
35 And|strong="G1161" it came to pass|strong="G1096", that as|strong="G1722" he|strong="G0846" was come nigh|strong="G1448" unto|strong="G1519" Jericho|strong="G2410", a certain|strong="G5100" blind man|strong="G5185" sat|strong="G2521" by|strong="G3844" the way side|strong="G3598" begging|strong="G4319":
35 Ora, quando ele ia chegando a Jericó, estava um cego sentado junto do caminho, mendigando.
36 And|strong="G1161" hearing|strong="G0191" the multitude|strong="G3793" pass by|strong="G1279", he asked|strong="G4441" what|strong="G5101" it|strong="G5124" meant|strong="G1498".
36 Este, pois, ouvindo passar a multidão, perguntou que era aquilo.
37 And|strong="G1161" they told|strong="G0518" him|strong="G0846", that|strong="G3754" Jesus|strong="G2424" of Nazareth|strong="G3480" passeth by|strong="G3928".
37 Disseram-lhe que Jesus, o nazareno, ia passando.
38 And|strong="G2532" he cried|strong="G0994", saying|strong="G3004", Jesus|strong="G2424", thou Son|strong="G5207" of David|strong="G1138", have mercy|strong="G1653" on me|strong="G3165".
38 Então ele se pôs a clamar, dizendo: Jesus, Filho de Davi, tem compaixão de mim!

42 Disse-lhe Jesus: Vê; a tua fé te salvou.

43 Imediatamente recuperou a vista, e o foi seguindo, gloficando a Deus. E todo o povo, vendo isso, dava louvores a Deus.
