2 And|strong="G2532", behold|strong="G2400", there was a man|strong="G0435" named|strong="G2564" Zacchæus|strong="G2195", which|strong="G0846" was|strong="G2258" the chief among the publicans|strong="G0754", and|strong="G2532" he|strong="G3778" was|strong="G2258" rich|strong="G4145".
3 And|strong="G2532" he sought|strong="G2212" to see|strong="G1492" Jesus|strong="G2424" who|strong="G5101" he was|strong="G2076"; and|strong="G2532" could|strong="G1410" not|strong="G3756" for|strong="G0575" the press|strong="G3793", because|strong="G3754" he was|strong="G2258" little|strong="G3398" of stature|strong="G2244".
4 And|strong="G2532" he ran|strong="G4390" before|strong="G1715", and climbed up|strong="G0305" into|strong="G1909" a sycomore tree|strong="G4809" to|strong="G2443" see|strong="G1492" him|strong="G0846": for|strong="G3754" he was|strong="G3195" to pass|strong="G1330" that|strong="G1565" way.
5 And|strong="G2532" when|strong="G5613" Jesus|strong="G2424" came|strong="G2064" to|strong="G1909" the place|strong="G5117", he looked up|strong="G0308", and saw|strong="G1492" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" said|strong="G2036" unto|strong="G4314" him|strong="G0846", \+w Zacchæus|strong="G2195"\+w*, \+w make haste|strong="G4692"\+w*, \+w and come down|strong="G2597"\+w*; \+w for|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w to day|strong="G4594"\+w* \+w I|strong="G3165"\+w* \+w must|strong="G1163"\+w* \+w abide|strong="G3306"\+w* \+w at|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w thy|strong="G4675"\+w* \+w house|strong="G3624"\+w*.
6 And|strong="G2532" he made haste|strong="G4692", and came down|strong="G2597", and|strong="G2532" received|strong="G5264" him|strong="G0846" joyfully|strong="G5463".
7 And when|strong="G2532" they saw|strong="G1492" it, they all|strong="G0537" murmured|strong="G1234", saying|strong="G3004", That|strong="G3754" he was gone|strong="G1525" to be guest|strong="G2647" with|strong="G3844" a man|strong="G0435" that is a sinner|strong="G0268".
8 And|strong="G1161" Zacchæus|strong="G2195" stood|strong="G2476", and said|strong="G2036" unto|strong="G4314" the Lord|strong="G2962"; Behold|strong="G2400", Lord|strong="G2962", the half|strong="G2255" of my|strong="G3450" goods|strong="G5224" I give|strong="G1325" to the poor|strong="G4434"; and|strong="G2532" if|strong="G1487" I have taken|strong="G4811" any thing|strong="G5100" from any man|strong="G5100" by false accusation|strong="G4811", I restore|strong="G0591" him fourfold|strong="G5073".
9 And|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G2036" unto|strong="G4314" him|strong="G0846", \+w This day|strong="G4594"\+w* \+w is salvation|strong="G4991"\+w* \+w come|strong="G1096"\+w* \+w to this|strong="G5129"\+w* \+w house|strong="G3624"\+w*, \+w forsomuch|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w as|strong="G2530"\+w* \+w he|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w also|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w a son|strong="G5207"\+w* \+w of Abraham|strong="G0011"\+w*.
10 \+w For|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w the Son|strong="G5207"\+w* \+w of man|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w is come|strong="G2064"\+w* \+w to seek|strong="G2212"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w to save|strong="G4982"\+w* \+w that which|strong="G3588"\+w* \+w was lost|strong="G0622"\+w*.
11 And as|strong="G1161" they|strong="G0846" heard|strong="G0191" these things|strong="G5023", he added|strong="G4369" and spake|strong="G2036" a parable|strong="G3850", because|strong="G1223" he|strong="G0846" was|strong="G1511" nigh|strong="G1451" to Jerusalem|strong="G2419", and because|strong="G2532" they|strong="G0846" thought|strong="G1380" that|strong="G3754" the kingdom|strong="G0932" of God|strong="G2316" should|strong="G3195" immediately|strong="G3916" appear|strong="G0398".
12 He said|strong="G2036" therefore|strong="G3767", \+w A certain|strong="G5100"\+w* \+w nobleman|strong="G2104"\+w* \+w went|strong="G4198"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w a far|strong="G3117"\+w* \+w country|strong="G5561"\+w* \+w to receive|strong="G2983"\+w* \+w for himself|strong="G1438"\+w* \+w a kingdom|strong="G0932"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w to return|strong="G5290"\+w*.
13 \+w And|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w he called|strong="G2564"\+w* \+w his|strong="G1438"\+w* \+w ten|strong="G1176"\+w* \+w servants|strong="G1401"\+w*, \+w and delivered|strong="G1325"\+w* \+w them|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w ten|strong="G1176"\+w* \+w pounds|strong="G3414"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w said|strong="G2036"\+w* \+w unto|strong="G4314"\+w* \+w them|strong="G0846"\+w*, \+w Occupy|strong="G4231"\+w* \+w till|strong="G2193"\+w* \+w I come|strong="G2064"\+w*.
14 \+w But|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w his|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w citizens|strong="G4177"\+w* \+w hated|strong="G3404"\+w* \+w him|strong="G0846"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w sent|strong="G0649"\+w* \+w a message|strong="G4242"\+w* \+w after|strong="G3694"\+w* \+w him|strong="G0846"\+w*, \+w saying|strong="G3004"\+w*, \+w We will|strong="G2309"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w have|strong="G2309"\+w* \+w this|strong="G5126"\+w* \+add man\+add* \+w to reign|strong="G0936"\+w* \+w over|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w us|strong="G2248"\+w*.
15 \+w And|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w it came to pass|strong="G1096"\+w*, \+w that when|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w he was|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w returned|strong="G1880"\+w*, \+w having received|strong="G2983"\+w* \+w the kingdom|strong="G0932"\+w*, \+w then|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w he commanded|strong="G2036"\+w* \+w these|strong="G5128"\+w* \+w servants|strong="G1401"\+w* \+w to be called|strong="G5455"\+w* \+w unto him|strong="G0846"\+w*, \+w to whom|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w he had given|strong="G1325"\+w* \+w the money|strong="G0694"\+w*, \+w that|strong="G2443"\+w* \+w he might know|strong="G1097"\+w* \+w how much|strong="G5101"\+w* \+w every man|strong="G5101"\+w* \+w had gained by trading|strong="G1281"\+w*.
16 \+w Then|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w came|strong="G3854"\+w* \+w the first|strong="G4413"\+w*, \+w saying|strong="G3004"\+w*, \+w Lord|strong="G2962"\+w*, \+w thy|strong="G4675"\+w* \+w pound|strong="G3414"\+w* \+w hath gained|strong="G4333"\+w* \+w ten|strong="G1176"\+w* \+w pounds|strong="G3414"\+w*.
17 \+w And|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w he said|strong="G2036"\+w* \+w unto him|strong="G0846"\+w*, \+w Well|strong="G2095"\+w*, \+w thou good|strong="G0018"\+w* \+w servant|strong="G1401"\+w*: \+w because|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w thou hast been|strong="G1096"\+w* \+w faithful|strong="G4103"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w a very little|strong="G1646"\+w*, \+w have thou|strong="G2468"\+w* \+w authority|strong="G1849"\+w* \+w over|strong="G1883"\+w* \+w ten|strong="G1176"\+w* \+w cities|strong="G4172"\+w*.
18 \+w And|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w the second|strong="G1208"\+w* \+w came|strong="G2064"\+w*, \+w saying|strong="G3004"\+w*, \+w Lord|strong="G2962"\+w*, \+w thy|strong="G4675"\+w* \+w pound|strong="G3414"\+w* \+w hath gained|strong="G4160"\+w* \+w five|strong="G4002"\+w* \+w pounds|strong="G3414"\+w*.
19 \+w And|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w he said|strong="G2036"\+w* \+w likewise|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w to him|strong="G5129"\+w*, \+w Be|strong="G1096"\+w* \+w thou|strong="G4771"\+w* \+w also|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w over|strong="G1883"\+w* \+w five|strong="G4002"\+w* \+w cities|strong="G4172"\+w*.
20 \+w And|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w another|strong="G2087"\+w* \+w came|strong="G2064"\+w*, \+w saying|strong="G3004"\+w*, \+w Lord|strong="G2962"\+w*, \+w behold|strong="G2400"\+w*, \+add here is\+add* \+w thy|strong="G4675"\+w* \+w pound|strong="G3414"\+w*, \+w which|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w I have|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w kept laid up|strong="G0606"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w a napkin|strong="G4676"\+w*:
21 \+w For|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w I feared|strong="G5399"\+w* \+w thee|strong="G4571"\+w*, \+w because|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w thou art|strong="G1488"\+w* \+w an austere|strong="G0840"\+w* \+w man|strong="G0444"\+w*: \+w thou takest up|strong="G0142"\+w* \+w that|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w thou layedst|strong="G5087"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w down|strong="G5087"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w reapest|strong="G2325"\+w* \+w that|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w thou didst|strong="G4687"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w sow|strong="G4687"\+w*.
22 \+w And|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w he saith|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w unto him|strong="G0846"\+w*, \+w Out of|strong="G1537"\+w* \+w thine own|strong="G4675"\+w* \+w mouth|strong="G4750"\+w* \+w will I judge|strong="G2919"\+w* \+w thee|strong="G4571"\+w*, \+add thou\+add* \+w wicked|strong="G4190"\+w* \+w servant|strong="G1401"\+w*. \+w Thou knewest|strong="G1492"\+w* \+w that|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w I|strong="G1473"\+w* \+w was|strong="G1510"\+w* \+w an austere|strong="G0840"\+w* \+w man|strong="G0444"\+w*, \+w taking up|strong="G0142"\+w* \+w that|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w I laid|strong="G5087"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w down|strong="G5087"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w reaping|strong="G2325"\+w* \+w that|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w I did|strong="G4687"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w sow|strong="G4687"\+w*:
23 \+w Wherefore|strong="G1223"\+w* \+w then|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w gavest|strong="G1325"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w thou|strong="G1325"\+w* \+w my|strong="G3450"\+w* \+w money|strong="G0694"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w the bank|strong="G5132"\+w*, \+w that at|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w my|strong="G1473"\+w* \+w coming|strong="G2064"\+w* \+w I might have required|strong="G4238"\+w* \+w mine own|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w with|strong="G4862"\+w* \+w usury|strong="G5110"\+w*?
24 \+w And|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w he said|strong="G2036"\+w* \+w unto them that|strong="G3588"\+w* \+w stood by|strong="G3936"\+w*, \+w Take|strong="G0142"\+w* \+w from|strong="G0575"\+w* \+w him|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w the pound|strong="G3414"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w give|strong="G1325"\+w* \+add it\+add* \+w to him that|strong="G3588"\+w* \+w hath|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w ten|strong="G1176"\+w* \+w pounds|strong="G3414"\+w*.
25 (\+w And|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w they said|strong="G2036"\+w* \+w unto him|strong="G0846"\+w*, \+w Lord|strong="G2962"\+w*, \+w he hath|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w ten|strong="G1176"\+w* \+w pounds|strong="G3414"\+w*.)
26 \+w For|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w I say|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w unto you|strong="G5213"\+w*, \+w That|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w unto every one|strong="G3956"\+w* \+w which|strong="G3588"\+w* \+w hath|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w shall be given|strong="G1325"\+w*; \+w and|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w from|strong="G0575"\+w* \+w him|strong="G3588"\+w* \+w that hath|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w*, \+w even|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w that|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w he hath|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w shall be taken away|strong="G0142"\+w* \+w from|strong="G0575"\+w* \+w him|strong="G0846"\+w*.

28 And|strong="G2532" when he had|strong="G2036" thus|strong="G5023" spoken|strong="G2036", he went|strong="G4198" before|strong="G1715", ascending up|strong="G0305" to|strong="G1519" Jerusalem|strong="G2414".
29 And|strong="G2532" it came to pass|strong="G1096", when|strong="G5613" he was come nigh|strong="G1448" to|strong="G1519" Bethphage|strong="G0967" and|strong="G2532" Bethany|strong="G0963", at|strong="G4314" the mount|strong="G3735" called|strong="G2564" the mount of Olives|strong="G1636", he sent|strong="G0649" two|strong="G1417" of his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101",
30 Saying|strong="G2036", \+w Go ye|strong="G5217"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the village|strong="G2968"\+w* \+w over against|strong="G2713"\+w* \+add you\+add*; \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w the which|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w at your entering|strong="G1531"\+w* \+w ye shall find|strong="G2147"\+w* \+w a colt|strong="G4454"\+w* \+w tied|strong="G1210"\+w*, \+w whereon|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w yet|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w never|strong="G4455"\+w* \+w man|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w sat|strong="G2523"\+w*: \+w loose|strong="G3089"\+w* \+w him|strong="G0846"\+w*, \+w and bring|strong="G0071"\+w* \+add him hither\+add*.
31 \+w And|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w if|strong="G1437"\+w* \+w any man|strong="G5100"\+w* \+w ask|strong="G2065"\+w* \+w you|strong="G5209"\+w*, \+w Why|strong="G5101"\+w* \+w do ye loose|strong="G3089"\+w* \+add him\+add*? \+w thus|strong="G3779"\+w* \+w shall ye say|strong="G2046"\+w* \+w unto him|strong="G0846"\+w*, \+w Because|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w the Lord|strong="G2962"\+w* \+w hath|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w need|strong="G5532"\+w* \+w of him|strong="G0846"\+w*.
32 And|strong="G1161" they that|strong="G3588" were sent went|strong="G0649" their way|strong="G0565", and found|strong="G2147" even as|strong="G2531" he had said|strong="G2036" unto them|strong="G0846".
33 And|strong="G1161" as they|strong="G0846" were loosing|strong="G3089" the colt|strong="G4454", the owners|strong="G2962" thereof|strong="G0846" said|strong="G2036" unto|strong="G4314" them|strong="G0846", Why|strong="G5101" loose ye|strong="G3089" the colt|strong="G4454"?
34 And|strong="G1161" they said|strong="G2036", The Lord|strong="G2962" hath|strong="G2192" need|strong="G5532" of him|strong="G0846".
35 And|strong="G2532" they brought|strong="G0071" him|strong="G0846" to|strong="G4314" Jesus|strong="G2424": and|strong="G2532" they cast|strong="G1977" their|strong="G1438" garments|strong="G2440" upon|strong="G1909" the colt|strong="G4454", and they set|strong="G1913" Jesus|strong="G2424" thereon|strong="G1913".
36 And|strong="G1161" as he|strong="G0846" went|strong="G4198", they spread|strong="G5291" their|strong="G0846" clothes|strong="G2440" in|strong="G1722" the way|strong="G3598".
37 And|strong="G1161" when he|strong="G0846" was come nigh|strong="G1448", even now|strong="G2235" at|strong="G4314" the descent|strong="G2600" of the mount|strong="G3735" of Olives|strong="G1636", the whole|strong="G0537" multitude|strong="G4128" of the disciples|strong="G3101" began|strong="G0756" to rejoice|strong="G5463" and praise|strong="G0134" God|strong="G2316" with a loud|strong="G3173" voice|strong="G5456" for|strong="G4012" all|strong="G3956" the mighty works|strong="G1411" that|strong="G3739" they had seen|strong="G1492";
38 Saying|strong="G3004", Blessed|strong="G2127" be the King|strong="G0935" that|strong="G3588" cometh|strong="G2064" in|strong="G1722" the name|strong="G3686" of the Lord|strong="G2962": peace|strong="G1515" in|strong="G1722" heaven|strong="G3772", and|strong="G2532" glory|strong="G1391" in|strong="G1722" the highest|strong="G5310".
39 And|strong="G2532" some|strong="G5100" of the Pharisees|strong="G5330" from|strong="G0575" among the multitude|strong="G3793" said|strong="G2036" unto|strong="G4314" him|strong="G0846", Master|strong="G1320", rebuke|strong="G2008" thy|strong="G4675" disciples|strong="G3101".
40 And|strong="G2532" he answered|strong="G0611" and said|strong="G2036" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w I tell|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w you|strong="G5213"\+w* \+w that|strong="G3754"\+w*, \+w if|strong="G1437"\+w* \+w these|strong="G3778"\+w* \+w should hold their peace|strong="G4623"\+w*, \+w the stones|strong="G3037"\+w* \+w would immediately cry out|strong="G2896"\+w*.
41 And|strong="G2532" when|strong="G5613" he was come near|strong="G1448", he beheld|strong="G1492" the city|strong="G4172", and wept|strong="G2799" over|strong="G1909" it|strong="G0846",
42 Saying|strong="G3004", \+w If|strong="G1487"\+w* \+w thou hadst known|strong="G1097"\+w*, \+w even|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w thou|strong="G4771"\+w*, \+w at least|strong="G1065"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w this|strong="G3778"\+w* \+w thy|strong="G4675"\+w* \+w day|strong="G2250"\+w*, \+w the things|strong="G3588"\+w* \+add which belong\+add* \+w unto|strong="G4314"\+w* \+w thy|strong="G4675"\+w* \+w peace|strong="G1515"\+w*! \+w but|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w now|strong="G3568"\+w* \+w they are hid|strong="G2928"\+w* \+w from|strong="G0575"\+w* \+w thine|strong="G4675"\+w* \+w eyes|strong="G3788"\+w*.
43 \+w For|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w the days|strong="G2250"\+w* \+w shall come|strong="G2240"\+w* \+w upon|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w thee|strong="G4571"\+w*, \+w that|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w thine|strong="G4675"\+w* \+w enemies|strong="G2190"\+w* \+w shall cast|strong="G4016"\+w* \+w a trench|strong="G5482"\+w* \+w about thee|strong="G4671"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w compass|strong="G4033"\+w* \+w thee|strong="G4571"\+w* \+w round|strong="G4033"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w keep|strong="G4912"\+w* \+w thee|strong="G4571"\+w* \+w in|strong="G4912"\+w* \+w on every side|strong="G3840"\+w*,
44 \+w And|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w shall lay|strong="G1474"\+w* \+w thee|strong="G4571"\+w* \+w even with the ground|strong="G1474"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w thy|strong="G4675"\+w* \+w children|strong="G5043"\+w* \+w within|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w thee|strong="G4671"\+w*; \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w they shall|strong="G0863"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w leave|strong="G0863"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w thee|strong="G4671"\+w* \+w one stone|strong="G3037"\+w* \+w upon|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w another|strong="G3037"\+w*; \+w because|strong="G0473"\+w* \+w thou knewest|strong="G1097"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w the time|strong="G2540"\+w* \+w of thy|strong="G4675"\+w* \+w visitation|strong="G1984"\+w*.
45 And|strong="G2532" he went|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" the temple|strong="G2411", and began|strong="G0756" to cast out|strong="G1544" them that|strong="G3588" sold|strong="G4453" therein|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" them that bought|strong="G0059";
46 Saying|strong="G3004" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w It is written|strong="G1125"\+w*, \+w My|strong="G3450"\+w* \+w house|strong="G3624"\+w* \+w is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w the house|strong="G3624"\+w* \+w of prayer|strong="G4335"\+w*: \+w but|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w ye|strong="G5210"\+w* \+w have made|strong="G4160"\+w* \+w it|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w a den|strong="G4693"\+w* \+w of thieves|strong="G3027"\+w*.
47 And|strong="G2532" he taught|strong="G1321" daily|strong="G2250" in|strong="G1722" the temple|strong="G2411". But|strong="G1161" the chief priests|strong="G0749" and|strong="G2532" the scribes|strong="G1122" and|strong="G2532" the chief|strong="G4413" of the people|strong="G2992" sought|strong="G2212" to destroy|strong="G0622" him|strong="G0846",
48 And|strong="G2532" could|strong="G2147" not|strong="G3756" find|strong="G2147" what|strong="G5101" they might do|strong="G4160": for|strong="G1063" all|strong="G0537" the people|strong="G2992" were very attentive|strong="G1582" to hear|strong="G0191" him|strong="G0846".
