Juízes 5

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

Then sang|strong="H7891" Deborah|strong="H1683" and Barak|strong="H1301" the son|strong="H1121" of Abinoam|strong="H0042" on that day|strong="H3117", saying|strong="H0559",

Praise|strong="H1288" ye the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* for the avenging|strong="H6544" of Israel|strong="H3478", when the people|strong="H5971" willingly offered|strong="H5068" themselves.

Hear|strong="H8085", O ye kings|strong="H4428"; give ear|strong="H0238", O ye princes|strong="H7336"; I, even I, will sing|strong="H7891" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; I will sing|strong="H2167" praise to the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" of Israel|strong="H3478".

\+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, when thou wentest out|strong="H3318" of Seir|strong="H8165", when thou marchedst out|strong="H6805" of the field|strong="H7704" of Edom|strong="H0123", the earth|strong="H0776" trembled|strong="H7493", and the heavens|strong="H8064" dropped|strong="H5197", the clouds|strong="H5645" also dropped|strong="H5197" water|strong="H4325".

The mountains|strong="H2022" melted|strong="H5140" from before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, even that Sinai|strong="H5514" from before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" of Israel|strong="H3478".

In the days|strong="H3117" of Shamgar|strong="H8044" the son|strong="H1121" of Anath|strong="H6067", in the days|strong="H3117" of Jael|strong="H3278", the highways|strong="H0734" were unoccupied|strong="H2308", and the travellers|strong="H1980" walked|strong="H3212" through byways|strong="H6128".

The inhabitants of the villages|strong="H6520" ceased|strong="H2308", they ceased|strong="H2308" in Israel|strong="H3478", until that I Deborah|strong="H1683" arose|strong="H6965", that I arose|strong="H6965" a mother|strong="H0517" in Israel|strong="H3478".

They chose|strong="H0977" new|strong="H2319" gods|strong="H0430"; then was war|strong="H3901" in the gates|strong="H8179": was there a shield|strong="H4043" or spear|strong="H7420" seen|strong="H7200" among forty|strong="H0705" thousand|strong="H0505" in Israel|strong="H3478"?

My heart|strong="H3820" is toward the governors|strong="H2710" of Israel|strong="H3478", that offered themselves willingly|strong="H5068" among the people|strong="H5971". Bless|strong="H1288" ye the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.

Speak|strong="H7878", ye that ride|strong="H7392" on white|strong="H6715" asses|strong="H0860", ye that sit|strong="H3427" in judgment|strong="H4055", and walk|strong="H1980" by the way|strong="H1870".

They that are delivered from the noise|strong="H6963" of archers|strong="H2686" in the places of drawing water|strong="H4857", there shall they rehearse|strong="H8567" the righteous acts|strong="H6666" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, even the righteous acts|strong="H6666" toward the inhabitants of his villages|strong="H6520" in Israel|strong="H3478": then shall the people|strong="H5971" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* go down|strong="H3381" to the gates|strong="H8179".

Awake|strong="H5782", awake|strong="H5782", Deborah|strong="H1683": awake|strong="H5782", awake|strong="H5782", utter|strong="H1696" a song|strong="H7892": arise|strong="H6965", Barak|strong="H1301", and lead thy captivity|strong="H7628" captive|strong="H7617", thou son|strong="H1121" of Abinoam|strong="H0042".

Then he made him that remaineth|strong="H8300" have dominion|strong="H7287" over the nobles|strong="H0117" among the people|strong="H5971": the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* made me have dominion|strong="H7287" over the mighty|strong="H1368".

Out of Ephraim|strong="H0669" was there a root|strong="H8328" of them against Amalek|strong="H6002"; after|strong="H0310" thee, Benjamin|strong="H1144", among thy people|strong="H5971"; out of Machir|strong="H4353" came down|strong="H3381" governors|strong="H2710", and out of Zebulun|strong="H2074" they that handle|strong="H4900" the pen|strong="H7626" of the writer|strong="H5608".

And the princes|strong="H8269" of Issachar|strong="H3485" were with Deborah|strong="H1683"; even Issachar|strong="H3485", and also Barak|strong="H1301": he was sent|strong="H7971" on foot|strong="H7272" into the valley|strong="H6010". For the divisions|strong="H6390" of Reuben|strong="H7205" there were great|strong="H1419" thoughts|strong="H2711" of heart|strong="H3820".

Why abodest|strong="H3427" thou among|strong="H0996" the sheepfolds|strong="H4942", to hear|strong="H8085" the bleatings|strong="H8292" of the flocks|strong="H5739"? For the divisions|strong="H6390" of Reuben|strong="H7205" there were great|strong="H1419" searchings|strong="H2714" of heart|strong="H3820".

Gilead|strong="H1568" abode|strong="H7931" beyond|strong="H5676" Jordan|strong="H3383": and why did Dan|strong="H1835" remain|strong="H1481" in ships|strong="H0591"? Asher|strong="H0836" continued|strong="H3427" on the sea|strong="H3220" shore|strong="H2348", and abode|strong="H7931" in his breaches|strong="H4664".

Zebulun|strong="H2074" and Naphtali|strong="H5321" were a people|strong="H5971" that jeoparded|strong="H2778" their lives|strong="H5315" unto the death|strong="H4191" in the high places|strong="H4791" of the field|strong="H7704".

The kings|strong="H4428" came|strong="H0935" and fought|strong="H3898", then fought|strong="H3898" the kings|strong="H4428" of Canaan|strong="H3667" in Taanach|strong="H8590" by the waters|strong="H4325" of Megiddo|strong="H4023"; they took|strong="H3947" no gain|strong="H1215" of money|strong="H3701".

They fought|strong="H3898" from heaven|strong="H8064"; the stars|strong="H3556" in their courses|strong="H4546" fought|strong="H3898" against Sisera|strong="H5516".

The river|strong="H5158" of Kishon|strong="H7028" swept them away|strong="H1640", that ancient|strong="H6917" river|strong="H5158", the river|strong="H5158" Kishon|strong="H7028". O my soul|strong="H5315", thou hast trodden down|strong="H1869" strength|strong="H5797".

Then were the horsehoofs|strong="H6119" broken|strong="H1986" by the means of the pransings|strong="H1726", the pransings|strong="H1726" of their mighty ones|strong="H0047".

Curse|strong="H0779" ye Meroz|strong="H4789", said|strong="H0559" the angel|strong="H4397" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, curse|strong="H0779" ye bitterly|strong="H0779" the inhabitants|strong="H3427" thereof; because they came|strong="H0935" not to the help|strong="H5833" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, to the help|strong="H5833" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* against the mighty|strong="H1368".

Blessed|strong="H1288" above women|strong="H0802" shall Jael|strong="H3278" the wife|strong="H0802" of Heber|strong="H2268" the Kenite|strong="H7017" be, blessed|strong="H1288" shall she be above women|strong="H0802" in the tent|strong="H0168".

He asked|strong="H7592" water|strong="H4325", and she gave|strong="H5414" him milk|strong="H2461"; she brought forth|strong="H7126" butter|strong="H2529" in a lordly|strong="H0117" dish|strong="H5602".

She put|strong="H7971" her hand|strong="H3027" to the nail|strong="H3489", and her right hand|strong="H3225" to the workmen’s|strong="H6001" hammer|strong="H1989"; and with the hammer she smote|strong="H1986" Sisera|strong="H5516", she smote off|strong="H4277" his head|strong="H7218", when she had pierced|strong="H4272" and stricken through|strong="H2498" his temples|strong="H7541".

At her feet|strong="H7272" he bowed|strong="H3766", he fell|strong="H5307", he lay down|strong="H7901": at her feet|strong="H7272" he bowed|strong="H3766", he fell|strong="H5307": where|strong="H0834" he bowed|strong="H3766", there he fell down|strong="H5307" dead|strong="H7703".

The mother|strong="H0517" of Sisera|strong="H5516" looked|strong="H8259" out at a window|strong="H2474", and cried|strong="H2980" through the lattice|strong="H0822", Why is his chariot|strong="H7393" so long|strong="H0954" in coming|strong="H0935"? why tarry|strong="H0309" the wheels|strong="H6471" of his chariots|strong="H4818"?

Her wise|strong="H2450" ladies|strong="H8282" answered|strong="H6030" her, yea, she returned|strong="H7725" answer|strong="H0561" to herself,

Have they not sped|strong="H4672"? have they not divided|strong="H2505" the prey|strong="H7998"; to every|strong="H7218" man|strong="H1397" a damsel|strong="H7356" or two|strong="H7361"; to Sisera|strong="H5516" a prey|strong="H7998" of divers colours|strong="H6648", a prey|strong="H7998" of divers colours|strong="H6648" of needlework|strong="H7553", of divers colours|strong="H6648" of needlework on both sides|strong="H7553", meet for the necks|strong="H6677" of them that take the spoil|strong="H7998"?

So let all thine enemies|strong="H0341" perish|strong="H0006", O \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: but let them that love|strong="H0157" him be as the sun|strong="H8121" when he goeth forth|strong="H3318" in his might|strong="H1369". And the land|strong="H0776" had rest|strong="H8252" forty|strong="H0705" years|strong="H8141".
