And the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" again|strong="H3254" did|strong="H6213" evil|strong="H7451" in the sight|strong="H5869" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, when Ehud|strong="H0164" was dead|strong="H4191".
And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* sold|strong="H4376" them into the hand|strong="H3027" of Jabin|strong="H2985" king|strong="H4428" of Canaan|strong="H3667", that reigned|strong="H4427" in Hazor|strong="H2674"; the captain|strong="H8269" of whose host|strong="H6635" was Sisera|strong="H5516", which dwelt|strong="H3427" in Harosheth|strong="H2800" of the Gentiles|strong="H1471".
And the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" cried|strong="H6817" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: for he had nine|strong="H8672" hundred|strong="H3967" chariots|strong="H7393" of iron|strong="H1270"; and twenty|strong="H6242" years|strong="H8141" he mightily|strong="H2394" oppressed|strong="H3905" the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478".
And Deborah|strong="H1683", a prophetess|strong="H5031", the wife|strong="H0802" of Lapidoth|strong="H3941", she judged|strong="H8199" Israel|strong="H3478" at that time|strong="H6256".
And she dwelt|strong="H3427" under the palm tree|strong="H8560" of Deborah|strong="H1683" between Ramah|strong="H7414" and Beth-el|strong="H1008" in mount|strong="H2022" Ephraim|strong="H0669": and the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" came up|strong="H5927" to her for judgment|strong="H4941".
And she sent|strong="H7971" and called|strong="H7121" Barak|strong="H1301" the son|strong="H1121" of Abinoam|strong="H0042" out of Kedesh-naphtali|strong="H6943", and said|strong="H0559" unto him, Hath not the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" of Israel|strong="H3478" commanded|strong="H6680", saying, Go|strong="H3212" and draw|strong="H4900" toward mount|strong="H2022" Tabor|strong="H8396", and take|strong="H3947" with thee ten|strong="H6235" thousand|strong="H0505" men|strong="H0376" of the children|strong="H1121" of Naphtali|strong="H5321" and of the children|strong="H1121" of Zebulun|strong="H2074"?
And I will draw|strong="H4900" unto thee to the river|strong="H5158" Kishon|strong="H7028" Sisera|strong="H5516", the captain|strong="H8269" of Jabin’s|strong="H2985" army|strong="H6635", with his chariots|strong="H7393" and his multitude|strong="H1995"; and I will deliver|strong="H5414" him into thine hand|strong="H3027".
And Barak|strong="H1301" said|strong="H0559" unto her, If thou wilt go|strong="H3212" with me, then I will go|strong="H1980": but if thou wilt not go|strong="H3212" with me, then I will not go|strong="H3212".
And she said|strong="H0559", I will surely|strong="H1980" go|strong="H3212" with thee: notwithstanding|strong="H0657" the journey|strong="H1870" that thou takest|strong="H1980" shall not be for thine honour|strong="H8597"; for the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* shall sell|strong="H4376" Sisera|strong="H5516" into the hand|strong="H3027" of a woman|strong="H0802". And Deborah|strong="H1683" arose|strong="H6965", and went|strong="H3212" with Barak|strong="H1301" to Kedesh|strong="H6943".
And Barak|strong="H1301" called|strong="H2199" Zebulun|strong="H2074" and Naphtali|strong="H5321" to Kedesh|strong="H6943"; and he went up|strong="H5927" with ten|strong="H6235" thousand|strong="H0505" men|strong="H0376" at his feet|strong="H7272": and Deborah|strong="H1683" went up|strong="H5927" with him.
Now Heber|strong="H2268" the Kenite|strong="H7017", which was of the children|strong="H1121" of Hobab|strong="H2246" the father in law|strong="H2859" of Moses|strong="H4872", had severed|strong="H6504" himself from the Kenites|strong="H7017", and pitched|strong="H5186" his tent|strong="H0168" unto the plain|strong="H0436" of Zaanaim|strong="H6815", which is by Kedesh|strong="H6943".
And they shewed|strong="H5046" Sisera|strong="H5516" that Barak|strong="H1301" the son|strong="H1121" of Abinoam|strong="H0042" was gone up|strong="H5927" to mount|strong="H2022" Tabor|strong="H8396".
And Sisera|strong="H5516" gathered together|strong="H2199" all his chariots|strong="H7393", even nine|strong="H8672" hundred|strong="H3967" chariots|strong="H7393" of iron|strong="H1270", and all the people|strong="H5971" that were with him, from Harosheth|strong="H2800" of the Gentiles|strong="H1471" unto the river|strong="H5158" of Kishon|strong="H7028".
And Deborah|strong="H1683" said|strong="H0559" unto Barak|strong="H1301", Up|strong="H6965"; for this is the day|strong="H3117" in which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath delivered|strong="H5414" Sisera|strong="H5516" into thine hand|strong="H3027": is not the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* gone out|strong="H3318" before|strong="H6440" thee? So Barak|strong="H1301" went down|strong="H3381" from mount|strong="H2022" Tabor|strong="H8396", and ten|strong="H6235" thousand|strong="H0505" men|strong="H0376" after|strong="H0310" him.
And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* discomfited|strong="H2000" Sisera|strong="H5516", and all his chariots|strong="H7393", and all his host|strong="H4264", with the edge|strong="H6310" of the sword|strong="H2719" before|strong="H6440" Barak|strong="H1301"; so that Sisera|strong="H5516" lighted down|strong="H3381" off his chariot|strong="H4818", and fled away|strong="H5127" on his feet|strong="H7272".
But Barak|strong="H1301" pursued|strong="H7291" after|strong="H0310" the chariots|strong="H7393", and after the host|strong="H4264", unto Harosheth|strong="H2800" of the Gentiles|strong="H1471": and all the host|strong="H4264" of Sisera|strong="H5516" fell|strong="H5307" upon the edge|strong="H6310" of the sword|strong="H2719"; and there was not a man|strong="H0259" left|strong="H7604".
Howbeit Sisera|strong="H5516" fled away|strong="H5127" on his feet|strong="H7272" to the tent|strong="H0168" of Jael|strong="H3278" the wife|strong="H0802" of Heber|strong="H2268" the Kenite|strong="H7017": for there was peace|strong="H7965" between Jabin|strong="H2985" the king|strong="H4428" of Hazor|strong="H2674" and the house|strong="H1004" of Heber|strong="H2268" the Kenite|strong="H7017".
And Jael|strong="H3278" went out|strong="H3318" to meet|strong="H7125" Sisera|strong="H5516", and said|strong="H0559" unto him, Turn in|strong="H5493", my lord|strong="H0113", turn in|strong="H5493" to me; fear|strong="H3372" not. And when he had turned in|strong="H5493" unto her into the tent|strong="H0168", she covered|strong="H3680" him with a mantle|strong="H8063".
And he said|strong="H0559" unto her, Give me, I pray thee, a little|strong="H4592" water|strong="H4325" to drink|strong="H8248"; for I am thirsty|strong="H6770". And she opened|strong="H6605" a bottle|strong="H4997" of milk|strong="H2461", and gave him drink|strong="H8248", and covered|strong="H3680" him.
Again he said|strong="H0559" unto her, Stand in|strong="H5975" the door|strong="H6607" of the tent|strong="H0168", and it shall be, when any man|strong="H0376" doth come|strong="H0935" and enquire|strong="H7592" of thee, and say|strong="H0559", Is there|strong="H3426" any man|strong="H0376" here|strong="H3426"? that thou shalt say|strong="H0559", No.
Then Jael|strong="H3278" Heber’s|strong="H2268" wife|strong="H0802" took|strong="H3947" a nail|strong="H3489" of the tent|strong="H0168", and took|strong="H7760" an hammer|strong="H4718" in her hand|strong="H3027", and went|strong="H0935" softly|strong="H3814" unto him, and smote|strong="H8628" the nail|strong="H3489" into his temples|strong="H7541", and fastened|strong="H6795" it into the ground|strong="H0776": for he was fast asleep|strong="H7290" and weary|strong="H5774". So he died|strong="H4191".
And, behold, as Barak|strong="H1301" pursued|strong="H7291" Sisera|strong="H5516", Jael|strong="H3278" came out|strong="H3318" to meet|strong="H7125" him, and said|strong="H0559" unto him, Come|strong="H3212", and I will shew|strong="H7200" thee the man|strong="H0376" whom thou seekest|strong="H1245". And when he came|strong="H0935" into her tent, behold, Sisera|strong="H5516" lay|strong="H5307" dead|strong="H4191", and the nail|strong="H3489" was in his temples|strong="H7541".
So God|strong="H0430" subdued|strong="H3665" on that day|strong="H3117" Jabin|strong="H2985" the king|strong="H4428" of Canaan|strong="H3667" before|strong="H6440" the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478".
And the hand|strong="H3027" of the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" prospered|strong="H3212", and prevailed|strong="H7186" against Jabin|strong="H2985" the king|strong="H4428" of Canaan|strong="H3667", until they had destroyed|strong="H3772" Jabin|strong="H2985" king|strong="H4428" of Canaan|strong="H3667".
