Juízes 2

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

And an angel|strong="H4397" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* came up|strong="H5927" from Gilgal|strong="H1537" to Bochim|strong="H1066", and said|strong="H0559", I made you to go up|strong="H5927" out of Egypt|strong="H4714", and have brought|strong="H0935" you unto the land|strong="H0776" which I sware|strong="H7650" unto your fathers|strong="H0001"; and I said|strong="H0559", I will never|strong="H5769" break|strong="H6565" my covenant|strong="H1285" with you.

And ye shall make|strong="H3772" no league|strong="H1285" with the inhabitants|strong="H3427" of this land|strong="H0776"; ye shall throw down|strong="H5422" their altars|strong="H4196": but ye have not obeyed|strong="H8085" my voice|strong="H6963": why have ye done|strong="H6213" this?

Wherefore I also said|strong="H0559", I will not drive them out|strong="H1644" from before|strong="H6440" you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides|strong="H6654", and their gods|strong="H0430" shall be a snare|strong="H4170" unto you.

And it came to pass, when the angel|strong="H4397" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* spake|strong="H1696" these words|strong="H1697" unto all the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478", that the people|strong="H5971" lifted up|strong="H5375" their voice|strong="H6963", and wept|strong="H1058".

And they called|strong="H7121" the name|strong="H8034" of that place|strong="H4725" Bochim|strong="H1066": and they sacrificed|strong="H2076" there unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.

And when Joshua|strong="H3091" had let the people|strong="H5971" go|strong="H7971", the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" went|strong="H3212" every man|strong="H0376" unto his inheritance|strong="H5159" to possess|strong="H3423" the land|strong="H0776".

And the people|strong="H5971" served|strong="H5647" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* all the days|strong="H3117" of Joshua|strong="H3091", and all the days|strong="H3117" of the elders|strong="H2205" that outlived|strong="H0748" Joshua|strong="H3091", who had seen|strong="H7200" all the great|strong="H1419" works|strong="H4639" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, that he did|strong="H6213" for Israel|strong="H3478".

And Joshua|strong="H3091" the son|strong="H1121" of Nun|strong="H5126", the servant|strong="H5650" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, died|strong="H4191", being an hundred|strong="H3967" and ten|strong="H6235" years|strong="H8141" old|strong="H1121".

And they buried|strong="H6912" him in the border|strong="H1366" of his inheritance|strong="H5159" in Timnath-heres|strong="H8556", in the mount|strong="H2022" of Ephraim|strong="H0669", on the north side|strong="H6828" of the hill|strong="H2022" Gaash|strong="H1608".

And also all that generation|strong="H1755" were gathered|strong="H0622" unto their fathers|strong="H0001": and there arose|strong="H6965" another|strong="H0312" generation|strong="H1755" after|strong="H0310" them, which knew|strong="H3045" not the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, nor yet the works|strong="H4639" which he had done|strong="H6213" for Israel|strong="H3478".

And the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" did|strong="H6213" evil|strong="H7451" in the sight|strong="H5869" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and served|strong="H5647" Baalim|strong="H1168":

And they forsook|strong="H5800" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" of their fathers|strong="H0001", which brought them out|strong="H3318" of the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714", and followed|strong="H3212" other|strong="H0312" gods|strong="H0430", of the gods|strong="H0430" of the people|strong="H5971" that were round about|strong="H5439" them, and bowed|strong="H7812" themselves unto them, and provoked the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* to anger|strong="H3707".

And they forsook|strong="H5800" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and served|strong="H5647" Baal|strong="H1168" and Ashtaroth|strong="H6252".

And the anger|strong="H0639" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* was hot|strong="H2734" against Israel|strong="H3478", and he delivered|strong="H5414" them into the hands|strong="H3027" of spoilers|strong="H8154" that spoiled|strong="H8155" them, and he sold|strong="H4376" them into the hands|strong="H3027" of their enemies|strong="H0341" round about|strong="H5439", so that they could|strong="H3201" not any longer|strong="H5750" stand|strong="H5975" before|strong="H6440" their enemies|strong="H0341".

Whithersoever they went out|strong="H3318", the hand|strong="H3027" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* was against them for evil|strong="H7451", as the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* had said|strong="H1696", and as the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* had sworn|strong="H7650" unto them: and they were greatly|strong="H3966" distressed|strong="H3334".

Nevertheless the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* raised up|strong="H6965" judges|strong="H8199", which delivered|strong="H3467" them out of the hand|strong="H3027" of those that spoiled|strong="H8154" them.

And yet they would not hearken|strong="H8085" unto their judges|strong="H8199", but they went a whoring|strong="H2181" after|strong="H0310" other|strong="H0312" gods|strong="H0430", and bowed|strong="H7812" themselves unto them: they turned|strong="H5493" quickly|strong="H4118" out of the way|strong="H1870" which their fathers|strong="H0001" walked in|strong="H1980", obeying|strong="H8085" the commandments|strong="H4687" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; but they did|strong="H6213" not so.

And when the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* raised|strong="H6965" them up judges|strong="H8199", then the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* was with the judge|strong="H8199", and delivered|strong="H3467" them out of the hand|strong="H3027" of their enemies|strong="H0341" all the days|strong="H3117" of the judge|strong="H8199": for it repented|strong="H5162" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* because|strong="H6440" of their groanings|strong="H5009" by reason of them that oppressed|strong="H3905" them and vexed|strong="H1766" them.

And it came to pass, when the judge|strong="H8199" was dead|strong="H4194", that they returned|strong="H7725", and corrupted|strong="H7843" themselves more than their fathers|strong="H0001", in following|strong="H3212" other|strong="H0312" gods|strong="H0430" to serve|strong="H5647" them, and to bow down|strong="H7812" unto them; they ceased|strong="H5307" not from their own doings|strong="H4611", nor from their stubborn|strong="H7186" way|strong="H1870".

And the anger|strong="H0639" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* was hot|strong="H2734" against Israel|strong="H3478"; and he said|strong="H0559", Because that this people|strong="H1471" hath transgressed|strong="H5674" my covenant|strong="H1285" which I commanded|strong="H6680" their fathers|strong="H0001", and have not hearkened|strong="H8085" unto my voice|strong="H6963";

I also will not henceforth|strong="H3254" drive out|strong="H3423" any|strong="H0376" from before|strong="H6440" them of the nations|strong="H1471" which Joshua|strong="H3091" left|strong="H5800" when he died|strong="H4191":

That through them I may prove|strong="H5254" Israel|strong="H3478", whether they will keep|strong="H8104" the way|strong="H1870" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* to walk|strong="H3212" therein, as their fathers|strong="H0001" did keep|strong="H8104" it, or not.

Therefore the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* left|strong="H3240" those nations|strong="H1471", without|strong="H1115" driving them out|strong="H3423" hastily|strong="H4118"; neither delivered|strong="H5414" he them into the hand|strong="H3027" of Joshua|strong="H3091".
