Juízes 16

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

Then went|strong="H3212" Samson|strong="H8123" to Gaza|strong="H5804", and saw|strong="H7200" there an harlot|strong="H0802", and went in|strong="H0935" unto her.

And it was told the Gazites|strong="H5841", saying|strong="H0559", Samson|strong="H8123" is come|strong="H0935" hither. And they compassed him in|strong="H5437", and laid wait|strong="H0693" for him all night|strong="H3915" in the gate|strong="H8179" of the city|strong="H5892", and were quiet|strong="H2790" all the night|strong="H3915", saying|strong="H0559", In the morning|strong="H1242", when it is day|strong="H0216", we shall kill|strong="H2026" him.

And Samson|strong="H8123" lay|strong="H7901" till midnight|strong="H2677", and arose|strong="H6965" at midnight|strong="H2677", and took|strong="H0270" the doors|strong="H1817" of the gate|strong="H8179" of the city|strong="H5892", and the two|strong="H8147" posts|strong="H4201", and went away|strong="H5265" with them, bar|strong="H1280" and all, and put|strong="H7760" them upon his shoulders|strong="H3802", and carried them up|strong="H5927" to the top|strong="H7218" of an hill|strong="H2022" that is before|strong="H6440" Hebron|strong="H2275".

And it came to pass afterward|strong="H0310", that he loved|strong="H0157" a woman|strong="H0802" in the valley|strong="H5158" of Sorek|strong="H7796", whose name|strong="H8034" was Delilah|strong="H1807".

And the lords|strong="H5633" of the Philistines|strong="H6430" came up|strong="H5927" unto her, and said|strong="H0559" unto her, Entice|strong="H6601" him, and see|strong="H7200" wherein his great|strong="H1419" strength|strong="H3581" lieth, and by what means we may prevail|strong="H3201" against him, that we may bind|strong="H0631" him to afflict|strong="H6031" him: and we will give|strong="H5414" thee every one|strong="H0376" of us eleven hundred|strong="H0505" pieces of silver|strong="H3701".

And Delilah|strong="H1807" said|strong="H0559" to Samson|strong="H8123", Tell|strong="H5046" me, I pray thee, wherein thy great|strong="H1419" strength|strong="H3581" lieth, and wherewith thou mightest be bound|strong="H0631" to afflict|strong="H6031" thee.

And Samson|strong="H8123" said|strong="H0559" unto her, If they bind|strong="H0631" me with seven|strong="H7651" green|strong="H3892" withs|strong="H3499" that were never dried|strong="H2717", then shall I be weak|strong="H2470", and be as another|strong="H0259" man|strong="H0120".

Then the lords|strong="H5633" of the Philistines|strong="H6430" brought up|strong="H5927" to her seven|strong="H7651" green|strong="H3892" withs|strong="H3499" which had not been dried|strong="H2717", and she bound|strong="H0631" him with them.

Now there were men lying in wait|strong="H0693", abiding|strong="H3427" with her in the chamber|strong="H2315". And she said|strong="H0559" unto him, The Philistines|strong="H6430" be upon thee, Samson|strong="H8123". And he brake|strong="H5423" the withs|strong="H3499", as a thread|strong="H6616" of tow|strong="H5296" is broken|strong="H5423" when it toucheth|strong="H7306" the fire|strong="H0784". So his strength|strong="H3581" was not known|strong="H3045".

And Delilah|strong="H1807" said|strong="H0559" unto Samson|strong="H8123", Behold, thou hast mocked|strong="H2048" me, and told|strong="H1696" me lies|strong="H3577": now tell|strong="H5046" me, I pray thee, wherewith thou mightest be bound|strong="H0631".

And he said|strong="H0559" unto her, If they bind|strong="H0631" me fast|strong="H0631" with new|strong="H2319" ropes|strong="H5688" that never were occupied|strong="H4399", then shall I be weak|strong="H2470", and be as another|strong="H0259" man|strong="H0120".

Delilah|strong="H1807" therefore took|strong="H3947" new|strong="H2319" ropes|strong="H5688", and bound|strong="H0631" him therewith, and said|strong="H0559" unto him, The Philistines|strong="H6430" be upon thee, Samson|strong="H8123". And there were liers in wait|strong="H0693" abiding|strong="H3427" in the chamber|strong="H2315". And he brake|strong="H5423" them from off his arms|strong="H2220" like a thread|strong="H2339".

And Delilah|strong="H1807" said|strong="H0559" unto Samson|strong="H8123", Hitherto|strong="H2008" thou hast mocked|strong="H2048" me, and told|strong="H1696" me lies|strong="H3577": tell|strong="H5046" me wherewith thou mightest be bound|strong="H0631". And he said|strong="H0559" unto her, If thou weavest|strong="H0707" the seven|strong="H7651" locks|strong="H4253" of my head|strong="H7218" with the web|strong="H4545".

And she fastened|strong="H8628" it with the pin|strong="H3489", and said|strong="H0559" unto him, The Philistines|strong="H6430" be upon thee, Samson|strong="H8123". And he awaked|strong="H3364" out of his sleep|strong="H8142", and went away|strong="H5265" with the pin|strong="H3489" of the beam|strong="H0708", and with the web|strong="H4545".

And she said|strong="H0559" unto him, How|strong="H0349" canst thou say|strong="H0559", I love|strong="H0157" thee, when thine heart|strong="H3820" is not with me? thou hast mocked|strong="H2048" me these three|strong="H7969" times|strong="H6471", and hast not told|strong="H5046" me wherein thy great|strong="H1419" strength|strong="H3581" lieth.

And it came to pass, when she pressed|strong="H6693" him daily|strong="H3117" with her words|strong="H1697", and urged|strong="H0509" him, so that his soul|strong="H5315" was vexed|strong="H7114" unto death|strong="H4191";

That he told|strong="H5046" her all his heart|strong="H3820", and said|strong="H0559" unto her, There hath not come|strong="H5927" a razor|strong="H4177" upon mine head|strong="H7218"; for I have been a Nazarite|strong="H5139" unto God|strong="H0430" from my mother’s|strong="H0517" womb|strong="H0990": if I be shaven|strong="H1548", then my strength|strong="H3581" will go|strong="H5493" from me, and I shall become weak|strong="H2470", and be like any other man|strong="H0120".

And when Delilah|strong="H1807" saw|strong="H7200" that he had told|strong="H5046" her all his heart|strong="H3820", she sent|strong="H7971" and called|strong="H7121" for the lords|strong="H5633" of the Philistines|strong="H6430", saying|strong="H0559", Come up|strong="H5927" this once|strong="H6471", for he hath shewed|strong="H5046" me all his heart|strong="H3820". Then the lords|strong="H5633" of the Philistines|strong="H6430" came up|strong="H5927" unto her, and brought|strong="H5927" money|strong="H3701" in their hand|strong="H3027".

And she made him sleep|strong="H3462" upon her knees|strong="H1290"; and she called|strong="H7121" for a man|strong="H0376", and she caused him to shave off|strong="H1548" the seven|strong="H7651" locks|strong="H4253" of his head|strong="H7218"; and she began|strong="H2490" to afflict|strong="H6031" him, and his strength|strong="H3581" went|strong="H5493" from him.

And she said|strong="H0559", The Philistines|strong="H6430" be upon thee, Samson|strong="H8123". And he awoke|strong="H3364" out of his sleep|strong="H8142", and said|strong="H0559", I will go out|strong="H3318" as at other times before|strong="H6471", and shake|strong="H5287" myself. And he wist|strong="H3045" not that the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* was departed|strong="H5493" from him.

But the Philistines|strong="H6430" took|strong="H0270" him, and put out|strong="H5365" his eyes|strong="H5869", and brought him down|strong="H3381" to Gaza|strong="H5804", and bound|strong="H0631" him with fetters of brass|strong="H5178"; and he did grind|strong="H2912" in the prison|strong="H0631" house|strong="H1004".

Howbeit the hair|strong="H8181" of his head|strong="H7218" began|strong="H2490" to grow again|strong="H6779" after|strong="H0834" he was shaven|strong="H1548".

Then the lords|strong="H5633" of the Philistines|strong="H6430" gathered them together|strong="H0622" for to offer|strong="H2076" a great|strong="H1419" sacrifice|strong="H2077" unto Dagon|strong="H1712" their god|strong="H0430", and to rejoice|strong="H8057": for they said|strong="H0559", Our god|strong="H0430" hath delivered|strong="H5414" Samson|strong="H8123" our enemy|strong="H0341" into our hand|strong="H3027".

And when the people|strong="H5971" saw|strong="H7200" him, they praised|strong="H1984" their god|strong="H0430": for they said|strong="H0559", Our god|strong="H0430" hath delivered|strong="H5414" into our hands|strong="H3027" our enemy|strong="H0341", and the destroyer|strong="H2717" of our country|strong="H0776", which slew|strong="H2491" many|strong="H7235" of us.

And it came to pass, when their hearts|strong="H3820" were merry|strong="H2896", that they said|strong="H0559", Call|strong="H7121" for Samson|strong="H8123", that he may make us sport|strong="H7832". And they called|strong="H7121" for Samson|strong="H8123" out of the prison|strong="H0631" house|strong="H1004"; and he made them|strong="H6440" sport|strong="H6711": and they set|strong="H5975" him between the pillars|strong="H5982".

And Samson|strong="H8123" said|strong="H0559" unto the lad|strong="H5288" that held|strong="H2388" him by the hand|strong="H3027", Suffer|strong="H3240" me that I may feel|strong="H4184" the pillars|strong="H5982" whereupon the house|strong="H1004" standeth|strong="H3559", that I may lean|strong="H8172" upon them.

Now the house|strong="H1004" was full|strong="H4390" of men|strong="H0582" and women|strong="H0802"; and all the lords|strong="H5633" of the Philistines|strong="H6430" were there; and there were upon the roof|strong="H1406" about three|strong="H7969" thousand|strong="H0505" men|strong="H0376" and women|strong="H0802", that beheld|strong="H7200" while Samson|strong="H8123" made sport|strong="H7832".

And Samson|strong="H8123" called|strong="H7121" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and said|strong="H0559", O Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*, remember|strong="H2142" me, I pray thee, and strengthen|strong="H2388" me, I pray thee, only this once|strong="H6471", O God|strong="H0430", that I may be at once|strong="H0259" avenged|strong="H5358" of the Philistines|strong="H6430" for my two|strong="H8147" eyes|strong="H5869".

And Samson|strong="H8123" took hold|strong="H3943" of the two|strong="H8147" middle|strong="H8432" pillars|strong="H5982" upon which the house|strong="H1004" stood|strong="H3559", and on which it was borne up|strong="H5564", of the one|strong="H0259" with his right hand|strong="H3225", and of the other|strong="H0259" with his left|strong="H8040".

And Samson|strong="H8123" said|strong="H0559", Let me die|strong="H4191" with the Philistines|strong="H6430". And he bowed|strong="H5186" himself with all his might|strong="H3581"; and the house|strong="H1004" fell|strong="H5307" upon the lords|strong="H5633", and upon all the people|strong="H5971" that were therein. So the dead|strong="H4191" which he slew|strong="H4191" at his death|strong="H4194" were more|strong="H7227" than they which he slew|strong="H4191" in his life|strong="H2416".

Then his brethren|strong="H0251" and all the house|strong="H1004" of his father|strong="H0001" came down|strong="H3381", and took|strong="H5375" him, and brought him up|strong="H5927", and buried|strong="H6912" him between Zorah|strong="H6881" and Eshtaol|strong="H0847" in the buryingplace|strong="H6913" of Manoah|strong="H4495" his father|strong="H0001". And he judged|strong="H8199" Israel|strong="H3478" twenty|strong="H6242" years|strong="H8141".
