Juízes 15

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

But it came to pass within a while after|strong="H3117", in the time|strong="H3117" of wheat|strong="H2406" harvest|strong="H7105", that Samson|strong="H8123" visited|strong="H6485" his wife|strong="H0802" with a kid|strong="H1423"; and he said|strong="H0559", I will go in|strong="H0935" to my wife|strong="H0802" into the chamber|strong="H2315". But her father|strong="H0001" would not suffer|strong="H5414" him to go in|strong="H0935".

And her father|strong="H0001" said|strong="H0559", I verily|strong="H0559" thought|strong="H0559" that thou hadst utterly|strong="H8130" hated|strong="H8130" her; therefore I gave|strong="H5414" her to thy companion|strong="H4828": is not her younger|strong="H6996" sister|strong="H0269" fairer|strong="H2896" than she? take her, I pray thee, instead of her.

And Samson|strong="H8123" said|strong="H0559" concerning them, Now|strong="H6471" shall I be more blameless|strong="H5352" than the Philistines|strong="H6430", though I do|strong="H6213" them a displeasure|strong="H7451".

And Samson|strong="H8123" went|strong="H3212" and caught|strong="H3920" three|strong="H7969" hundred|strong="H3967" foxes|strong="H7776", and took|strong="H3947" firebrands|strong="H3940", and turned|strong="H6437" tail|strong="H2180" to tail|strong="H2180", and put|strong="H7760" a|strong="H0259" firebrand|strong="H3940" in the midst|strong="H8432" between two|strong="H8147" tails|strong="H2180".

And when he had set|strong="H1197" the brands|strong="H3940" on fire|strong="H0784", he let them go|strong="H7971" into the standing corn|strong="H7054" of the Philistines|strong="H6430", and burnt up|strong="H1197" both the shocks|strong="H1430", and also the standing corn|strong="H7054", with the vineyards|strong="H3754" and olives|strong="H2132".

Then the Philistines|strong="H6430" said|strong="H0559", Who hath done|strong="H6213" this? And they answered|strong="H0559", Samson|strong="H8123", the son in law|strong="H2860" of the Timnite|strong="H8554", because he had taken|strong="H3947" his wife|strong="H0802", and given|strong="H5414" her to his companion|strong="H4828". And the Philistines|strong="H6430" came up|strong="H5927", and burnt|strong="H8313" her and her father|strong="H0001" with fire|strong="H0784".

And Samson|strong="H8123" said|strong="H0559" unto them, Though|strong="H0518" ye have done|strong="H6213" this|strong="H2063", yet will I be avenged|strong="H5358" of you, and after|strong="H0310" that I will cease|strong="H2308".

And he smote|strong="H5221" them hip|strong="H7785" and|strong="H5921" thigh|strong="H3409" with a great|strong="H1419" slaughter|strong="H4347": and he went down|strong="H3381" and dwelt|strong="H3427" in the top|strong="H5585" of the rock|strong="H5553" Etam|strong="H5862".

Then the Philistines|strong="H6430" went up|strong="H5927", and pitched|strong="H2583" in Judah|strong="H3063", and spread|strong="H5203" themselves in Lehi|strong="H3896".

And the men|strong="H0376" of Judah|strong="H3063" said|strong="H0559", Why are ye come up|strong="H5927" against us? And they answered|strong="H0559", To bind|strong="H0631" Samson|strong="H8123" are we come up|strong="H5927", to do|strong="H6213" to him as he hath done|strong="H6213" to us.

Then three|strong="H7969" thousand|strong="H0505" men|strong="H0376" of Judah|strong="H3063" went|strong="H3381" to the top|strong="H5585" of the rock|strong="H5553" Etam|strong="H5862", and said|strong="H0559" to Samson|strong="H8123", Knowest|strong="H3045" thou not that the Philistines|strong="H6430" are rulers|strong="H4910" over us? what is this that thou hast done|strong="H6213" unto us? And he said|strong="H0559" unto them, As they did|strong="H6213" unto me, so have I done|strong="H6213" unto them.

And they said|strong="H0559" unto him, We are come down|strong="H3381" to bind|strong="H0631" thee, that we may deliver|strong="H5414" thee into the hand|strong="H3027" of the Philistines|strong="H6430". And Samson|strong="H8123" said|strong="H0559" unto them, Swear|strong="H7650" unto me, that ye will not fall upon|strong="H6293" me yourselves.

And they spake|strong="H0559" unto him, saying|strong="H0559", No; but we will bind|strong="H0631" thee fast|strong="H0631", and deliver|strong="H5414" thee into their hand|strong="H3027": but surely|strong="H4191" we will not kill|strong="H4191" thee. And they bound|strong="H0631" him with two|strong="H8147" new|strong="H2319" cords|strong="H5688", and brought him up|strong="H5927" from the rock|strong="H5553".

And when he came|strong="H0935" unto Lehi|strong="H3896", the Philistines|strong="H6430" shouted|strong="H7321" against|strong="H7125" him: and the Spirit|strong="H7307" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* came mightily|strong="H6743" upon him, and the cords|strong="H5688" that were upon his arms|strong="H2220" became as flax|strong="H6593" that was burnt|strong="H1197" with fire|strong="H0784", and his bands|strong="H0612" loosed|strong="H4549" from off his hands|strong="H3027".

And he found|strong="H4672" a new|strong="H2961" jawbone|strong="H3895" of an ass|strong="H2543", and put forth|strong="H7971" his hand|strong="H3027", and took|strong="H3947" it, and slew|strong="H5221" a thousand|strong="H0505" men|strong="H0376" therewith.

And Samson|strong="H8123" said|strong="H0559", With the jawbone|strong="H3895" of an ass|strong="H2543", heaps|strong="H2565" upon heaps|strong="H2565", with the jaw|strong="H3895" of an ass|strong="H2543" have I slain|strong="H5221" a thousand|strong="H0505" men|strong="H0376".

And it came to pass, when he had made an end|strong="H3615" of speaking|strong="H1696", that he cast away|strong="H7993" the jawbone|strong="H3895" out of his hand|strong="H3027", and called|strong="H7121" that place|strong="H4725" Ramath-lehi|strong="H7437".

And he was sore|strong="H3966" athirst|strong="H6770", and called|strong="H7121" on the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and said|strong="H0559", Thou hast given|strong="H5414" this great|strong="H1419" deliverance|strong="H8668" into the hand|strong="H3027" of thy servant|strong="H5650": and now shall I die|strong="H4191" for thirst|strong="H6772", and fall|strong="H5307" into the hand|strong="H3027" of the uncircumcised|strong="H6189"?

But God|strong="H0430" clave|strong="H1234" an hollow place|strong="H4388" that was in the jaw|strong="H3895", and there came|strong="H3318" water|strong="H4325" thereout; and when he had drunk|strong="H8354", his spirit|strong="H7307" came again|strong="H7725", and he revived|strong="H2421": wherefore he called|strong="H7121" the name|strong="H8034" thereof En-hakkore|strong="H5875", which is in Lehi|strong="H3896" unto this day|strong="H3117".

And he judged|strong="H8199" Israel|strong="H3478" in the days|strong="H3117" of the Philistines|strong="H6430" twenty|strong="H6242" years|strong="H8141".
