1 Then all the captains|strong="H8269" of the forces|strong="H2428", and Johanan|strong="H3110" the son|strong="H1121" of Kareah|strong="H7143", and Jezaniah|strong="H3153" the son|strong="H1121" of Hoshaiah|strong="H1955", and all the people|strong="H5971" from the least|strong="H6996" even unto the greatest|strong="H1419", came near|strong="H5066",
1 Então todos os comandantes dos grupos de soldados, incluindo Joanã, filho de Careá, e Jezanias, filho de Hosaías, e todo o povo, desde o mais humilde até o mais importante, procuraram
2 And said|strong="H0559" unto Jeremiah|strong="H3414" the prophet|strong="H5030", Let, we beseech thee, our supplication|strong="H8467" be accepted|strong="H5307" before|strong="H6440" thee, and pray|strong="H6419" for us unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430", even for all this remnant|strong="H7611"; (for we are left|strong="H7604" but a few|strong="H4592" of many|strong="H7235", as thine eyes|strong="H5869" do behold|strong="H7200" us:)
2 o profeta Jeremias e disseram: “Ore por nós ao S enhor , seu Deus. Como pode ver, somos apenas um pequeno e humilde remanescente comparado ao que éramos antes.
3 That the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" may shew|strong="H5046" us the way|strong="H1870" wherein we may walk|strong="H3212", and the thing|strong="H1697" that we may do|strong="H6213".
3 Ore para que o S enhor , seu Deus, nos mostre o que devemos fazer e para onde devemos ir”.
4 Then Jeremiah|strong="H3414" the prophet|strong="H5030" said|strong="H0559" unto them, I have heard|strong="H8085" you; behold, I will pray|strong="H6419" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* your God|strong="H0430" according to your words|strong="H1697"; and it shall come to pass, that whatsoever thing|strong="H1697" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* shall answer|strong="H6030" you, I will declare|strong="H5046" it unto you; I will keep|strong="H4513" nothing|strong="H1697" back|strong="H4513" from you.
4 “Está bem”, disse Jeremias. “Orarei ao S enhor , seu Deus, como vocês pediram, e lhes direi tudo que ele responder. Não esconderei nada de vocês.”
5 Then they said|strong="H0559" to Jeremiah|strong="H3414", The \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* be a true|strong="H0571" and faithful|strong="H0539" witness|strong="H5707" between us, if we do|strong="H6213" not even according to all things|strong="H1697" for the which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" shall send|strong="H7971" thee to us.
5 Então disseram a Jeremias: “Que o S enhor , seu Deus, seja testemunha verdadeira e fiel contra nós se não obedecermos a tudo que ele nos ordenar!
6 Whether it be good|strong="H2896", or whether it be evil|strong="H7451", we will obey|strong="H8085" the voice|strong="H6963" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* our God|strong="H0430", to whom we|strong="H0580" send|strong="H7971" thee; that it may be well|strong="H3190" with us, when we obey|strong="H8085" the voice|strong="H6963" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* our God|strong="H0430".
6 Quer suas ordens nos agradem quer não, obedeceremos ao S enhor , nosso Deus, a quem o enviamos com nossa súplica. Pois, se obedecermos ao S enhor , nosso Deus, tudo irá bem para nós”.
7 And it came to pass after|strong="H7093" ten|strong="H6235" days|strong="H3117", that the word|strong="H1697" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* came unto Jeremiah|strong="H3414".
7 Dez dias depois, o S enhor enviou sua resposta a Jeremias.
8 Then called|strong="H7121" he Johanan|strong="H3110" the son|strong="H1121" of Kareah|strong="H7143", and all the captains|strong="H8269" of the forces|strong="H2428" which were with him, and all the people|strong="H5971" from the least|strong="H6996" even to the greatest|strong="H1419",
8 Então o profeta chamou Joanã, filho de Careá, os outros comandantes e todo o povo, desde o mais humilde até o mais importante,
9 And said|strong="H0559" unto them, Thus saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, the God|strong="H0430" of Israel|strong="H3478", unto whom ye sent|strong="H7971" me to present|strong="H5307" your supplication|strong="H8467" before|strong="H6440" him;
9 e disse-lhes: “Vocês me enviaram ao S enhor , o Deus de Israel, com seu pedido, e esta é a resposta:
10 If ye will still|strong="H7725" abide|strong="H3427" in this land|strong="H0776", then will I build|strong="H1129" you, and not pull you down|strong="H2040", and I will plant|strong="H5193" you, and not pluck you up|strong="H5428": for I repent|strong="H5162" me of the evil|strong="H7451" that I have done|strong="H6213" unto you.
10 ‘Se ficarem nesta terra, eu os edificarei, e não os derrubarei; eu os plantarei, e não os arrancarei. Pois lamento pela calamidade que trouxe sobre vocês.
11 Be not afraid|strong="H3372" of|strong="H6440" the king|strong="H4428" of Babylon|strong="H0894", of whom|strong="H6440" ye are afraid|strong="H3373"; be not afraid|strong="H3372" of him, saith|strong="H5002" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: for I am with you to save|strong="H3467" you, and to deliver|strong="H5337" you from his hand|strong="H3027".
11 Não precisam mais ter medo do rei da Babilônia’, diz o S enhor . ‘Pois eu estou com vocês; eu os salvarei e os livrarei das mãos dele.
12 And I will shew|strong="H5414" mercies|strong="H7356" unto you, that he may have mercy|strong="H7355" upon you, and cause you to return|strong="H7725" to your own land|strong="H0127".
12 Terei compaixão de vocês e farei que ele também tenha e permita que fiquem nesta terra.’
13 But if ye say|strong="H0559", We will not dwell|strong="H3427" in this land|strong="H0776", neither obey|strong="H8085" the voice|strong="H6963" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* your God|strong="H0430",
13 “Mas, se vocês se recusarem a obedecer ao S enhor , seu Deus, e se disserem: ‘Não ficaremos nesta terra;
14 Saying|strong="H0559", No; but we will go|strong="H0935" into the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714", where we shall see|strong="H7200" no war|strong="H4421", nor hear|strong="H8085" the sound|strong="H6963" of the trumpet|strong="H7782", nor have hunger|strong="H7456" of bread|strong="H3899"; and there will we dwell|strong="H3427":
14 iremos para o Egito onde não há guerra, nem convocação para lutar, nem fome, e ali viveremos’,
15 And now therefore hear|strong="H8085" the word|strong="H1697" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, ye remnant|strong="H7611" of Judah|strong="H3063"; Thus saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* of hosts|strong="H6635", the God|strong="H0430" of Israel|strong="H3478"; If ye wholly|strong="H7760" set|strong="H7760" your faces|strong="H6440" to enter|strong="H0935" into Egypt|strong="H4714", and go|strong="H0935" to sojourn|strong="H1481" there;
15 então ouçam a mensagem do S enhor para o remanescente de Judá. Assim diz o S enhor dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel: ‘Se vocês estão decididos a ir para o Egito e morar lá,
16 Then it shall come to pass, that the sword|strong="H2719", which ye feared|strong="H3373", shall overtake|strong="H5381" you there in the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714", and the famine|strong="H7458", whereof ye were afraid|strong="H1672", shall follow close|strong="H1692" after|strong="H0310" you there in Egypt|strong="H4714"; and there ye shall die|strong="H4191".
16 a guerra e a fome que tanto temem os alcançarão e ali vocês morrerão.
17 So shall it be with all the men|strong="H0582" that set|strong="H7760" their faces|strong="H6440" to go|strong="H0935" into Egypt|strong="H4714" to sojourn|strong="H1481" there; they shall die|strong="H4191" by the sword|strong="H2719", by the famine|strong="H7458", and by the pestilence|strong="H1698": and none of them shall remain|strong="H8300" or escape|strong="H6412" from|strong="H6440" the evil|strong="H7451" that I will bring|strong="H0935" upon them.
17 Isso é o que espera todos que insistirem em partir e morar no Egito. Sim, morrerão por guerra, fome e doença. Ninguém escapará da calamidade que trarei sobre vocês’.
18 For thus saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* of hosts|strong="H6635", the God|strong="H0430" of Israel|strong="H3478"; As mine anger|strong="H0639" and my fury|strong="H2534" hath been poured forth|strong="H5413" upon the inhabitants|strong="H3427" of Jerusalem|strong="H3389"; so shall my fury|strong="H2534" be poured forth|strong="H5413" upon you, when ye shall enter|strong="H0935" into Egypt|strong="H4714": and ye shall be an execration|strong="H0423", and an astonishment|strong="H8047", and a curse|strong="H7045", and a reproach|strong="H2781"; and ye shall see|strong="H7200" this place|strong="H4725" no more.
18 “Assim diz o S enhor dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel: ‘Assim como derramei minha ira e minha fúria sobre os habitantes de Jerusalém, também as derramarei sobre vocês quando entrarem no Egito. Serão objeto de condenação, horror, maldição e zombaria. Nunca mais verão sua terra natal’.
19 The \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath said|strong="H1696" concerning you, O ye remnant|strong="H7611" of Judah|strong="H3063"; Go|strong="H0935" ye not into Egypt|strong="H4714": know|strong="H3045" certainly|strong="H3045" that I have admonished|strong="H5749" you this day|strong="H3117".
19 “Ouça, ó remanescente de Judá. O S enhor lhes disse: ‘Não vão para o Egito!’. Não se esqueçam dessa advertência que hoje lhes dei.
20 For ye dissembled|strong="H8582" in your hearts|strong="H5315", when ye sent|strong="H7971" me unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* your God|strong="H0430", saying|strong="H0559", Pray|strong="H6419" for us unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* our God|strong="H0430"; and according unto all that the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* our God|strong="H0430" shall say|strong="H0559", so declare|strong="H5046" unto us, and we will do|strong="H6213" it.
20 Pois vocês não foram honestos quando me enviaram para orar ao S enhor , seu Deus, por vocês. Disseram: ‘Diga-nos tudo que o S enhor , nosso Deus, falar, e nós o faremos’.
21 And now I have this day|strong="H3117" declared|strong="H5046" it to you; but ye have not obeyed|strong="H8085" the voice|strong="H6963" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* your God|strong="H0430", nor any thing for the which he hath sent|strong="H7971" me unto you.
21 Hoje lhes disse exatamente o que ele falou, mas vocês não obedecerão ao S enhor , seu Deus, como não lhe obedeceram no passado.
22 Now therefore know|strong="H3045" certainly|strong="H3045" that ye shall die|strong="H4191" by the sword|strong="H2719", by the famine|strong="H7458", and by the pestilence|strong="H1698", in the place|strong="H4725" whither ye desire|strong="H2654" to go|strong="H0935" and to sojourn|strong="H1481".
22 Estejam certos, portanto, de que morrerão por guerra, fome e doença no Egito, para onde insistem em ir”.
