The sin|strong="H2403" of Judah|strong="H3063" is written|strong="H3789" with a pen|strong="H5842" of iron|strong="H1270", and with the point|strong="H6856" of a diamond|strong="H8068": it is graven|strong="H2790" upon the table|strong="H3871" of their heart|strong="H3820", and upon the horns|strong="H7161" of your altars|strong="H4196";
Whilst their children|strong="H1121" remember|strong="H2142" their altars|strong="H4196" and their groves|strong="H0842" by the green|strong="H7488" trees|strong="H6086" upon the high|strong="H1364" hills|strong="H1389".
O my mountain|strong="H2042" in the field|strong="H7704", I will give|strong="H5414" thy substance|strong="H2428" and all thy treasures|strong="H0214" to the spoil|strong="H0957", and thy high places|strong="H1116" for sin|strong="H2403", throughout all thy borders|strong="H1366".
And thou, even thyself, shalt discontinue|strong="H8058" from thine heritage|strong="H5159" that I gave|strong="H5414" thee; and I will cause thee to serve|strong="H5647" thine enemies|strong="H0341" in the land|strong="H0776" which thou knowest|strong="H3045" not: for ye have kindled|strong="H6919" a fire|strong="H0784" in mine anger|strong="H0639", which shall burn|strong="H3344" for|strong="H5704" ever|strong="H5769".
Thus saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; Cursed|strong="H0779" be the man|strong="H1397" that trusteth|strong="H0982" in man|strong="H0120", and maketh|strong="H7760" flesh|strong="H1320" his arm|strong="H2220", and whose heart|strong="H3820" departeth|strong="H5493" from the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
For he shall be like the heath|strong="H6199" in the desert|strong="H6160", and shall not see|strong="H7200" when good|strong="H2896" cometh|strong="H0935"; but shall inhabit|strong="H7931" the parched places|strong="H2788" in the wilderness|strong="H4057", in a salt|strong="H4420" land|strong="H0776" and not inhabited|strong="H3427".
Blessed|strong="H1288" is the man|strong="H1397" that trusteth|strong="H0982" in the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and whose hope|strong="H4009" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* is.
For he shall be as a tree|strong="H6086" planted|strong="H8362" by the waters|strong="H4325", and that spreadeth out|strong="H7971" her roots|strong="H8328" by the river|strong="H3105", and shall not see|strong="H7200" when heat|strong="H2527" cometh|strong="H0935", but her leaf|strong="H5929" shall be green|strong="H7488"; and shall not be careful|strong="H1672" in the year|strong="H8141" of drought|strong="H1226", neither shall cease|strong="H4185" from yielding|strong="H6213" fruit|strong="H6529".
The heart|strong="H3820" is deceitful|strong="H6121" above all things, and desperately wicked|strong="H0605": who can know|strong="H3045" it?
I the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* search|strong="H2713" the heart|strong="H3820", I try|strong="H0974" the reins|strong="H3629", even to give|strong="H5414" every man|strong="H0376" according to his ways|strong="H1870", and according to the fruit|strong="H6529" of his doings|strong="H4611".
As the partridge|strong="H7124" sitteth|strong="H1716" on eggs, and hatcheth|strong="H3205" them not; so he that getteth|strong="H6213" riches|strong="H6239", and not by right|strong="H4941", shall leave|strong="H5800" them in the midst|strong="H2677" of his days|strong="H3117", and at his end|strong="H0319" shall be a fool|strong="H5036".
A glorious|strong="H3519" high|strong="H4791" throne|strong="H3678" from the beginning|strong="H7223" is the place|strong="H4725" of our sanctuary|strong="H4720".
O \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, the hope|strong="H4723" of Israel|strong="H3478", all that forsake|strong="H5800" thee shall be ashamed|strong="H0954", and they that depart|strong="H3249" from me|strong="H5493" shall be written|strong="H3789" in the earth|strong="H0776", because they have forsaken|strong="H5800" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, the fountain|strong="H4726" of living|strong="H2416" waters|strong="H4325".
Heal|strong="H7495" me, O \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and I shall be healed|strong="H7495"; save|strong="H3467" me, and I shall be saved|strong="H3467": for thou art my praise|strong="H8416".
Behold, they say|strong="H0559" unto me, Where is the word|strong="H1697" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*? let it come|strong="H0935" now.
As for me, I have not hastened|strong="H0213" from being a pastor|strong="H7462" to follow|strong="H0310" thee: neither have I desired|strong="H0183" the woeful|strong="H0605" day|strong="H3117"; thou knowest|strong="H3045": that which came out|strong="H4161" of my lips|strong="H8193" was right before|strong="H5227" thee|strong="H6440".
Be not a terror|strong="H4288" unto me: thou art my hope|strong="H4268" in the day|strong="H3117" of evil|strong="H7451".
Let them be confounded|strong="H0954" that persecute|strong="H7291" me, but let not me be confounded|strong="H0954": let them be dismayed|strong="H2865", but let not me be dismayed|strong="H2865": bring|strong="H0935" upon them the day|strong="H3117" of evil|strong="H7451", and destroy|strong="H7665" them with double|strong="H4932" destruction|strong="H7670".
Thus said|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* unto me; Go|strong="H1980" and stand|strong="H5975" in the gate|strong="H8179" of the children|strong="H1121" of the people|strong="H5971", whereby the kings|strong="H4428" of Judah|strong="H3063" come in|strong="H0935", and by the which they go out|strong="H3318", and in all the gates|strong="H8179" of Jerusalem|strong="H3389";
And say|strong="H0559" unto them, Hear|strong="H8085" ye the word|strong="H1697" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, ye kings|strong="H4428" of Judah|strong="H3063", and all Judah|strong="H3063", and all the inhabitants|strong="H3427" of Jerusalem|strong="H3389", that enter in|strong="H0935" by these gates|strong="H8179":
Thus saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; Take heed|strong="H8104" to yourselves|strong="H5315", and bear|strong="H5375" no burden|strong="H4853" on the sabbath|strong="H7676" day|strong="H3117", nor bring|strong="H0935" it in by the gates|strong="H8179" of Jerusalem|strong="H3389";
Neither carry forth|strong="H3318" a burden|strong="H4853" out of your houses|strong="H1004" on the sabbath|strong="H7676" day|strong="H3117", neither do|strong="H6213" ye any work|strong="H4399", but hallow|strong="H6942" ye the sabbath|strong="H7676" day|strong="H3117", as I commanded|strong="H6680" your fathers|strong="H0001".
But they obeyed|strong="H8085" not, neither inclined|strong="H5186" their ear|strong="H0241", but made their neck|strong="H6203" stiff|strong="H7185", that they might not hear|strong="H8085", nor receive|strong="H3947" instruction|strong="H4148".
And it shall come to pass, if ye diligently|strong="H8085" hearken|strong="H8085" unto me, saith|strong="H5002" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, to bring|strong="H0935" in no burden|strong="H4853" through the gates|strong="H8179" of this city|strong="H5892" on the sabbath|strong="H7676" day|strong="H3117", but hallow|strong="H6942" the sabbath|strong="H7676" day|strong="H3117", to do|strong="H6213" no|strong="H1115" work|strong="H4399" therein;
Then shall there enter|strong="H0935" into the gates|strong="H8179" of this city|strong="H5892" kings|strong="H4428" and princes|strong="H8269" sitting|strong="H3427" upon the throne|strong="H3678" of David|strong="H1732", riding|strong="H7392" in chariots|strong="H7393" and on horses|strong="H5483", they, and their princes|strong="H8269", the men|strong="H0376" of Judah|strong="H3063", and the inhabitants|strong="H3427" of Jerusalem|strong="H3389": and this city|strong="H5892" shall remain|strong="H3427" for ever|strong="H5769".
And they shall come|strong="H0935" from the cities|strong="H5892" of Judah|strong="H3063", and from the places about|strong="H5439" Jerusalem|strong="H3389", and from the land|strong="H0776" of Benjamin|strong="H1144", and from the plain|strong="H8219", and from the mountains|strong="H2022", and from the south|strong="H5045", bringing|strong="H0935" burnt offerings|strong="H5930", and sacrifices|strong="H2077", and meat offerings|strong="H4503", and incense|strong="H3828", and bringing|strong="H0935" sacrifices of praise|strong="H8426", unto the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
But if ye will not hearken|strong="H8085" unto me to hallow|strong="H6942" the sabbath|strong="H7676" day|strong="H3117", and not to bear|strong="H5375" a burden|strong="H4853", even entering in|strong="H0935" at the gates|strong="H8179" of Jerusalem|strong="H3389" on the sabbath|strong="H7676" day|strong="H3117"; then will I kindle|strong="H3341" a fire|strong="H0784" in the gates|strong="H8179" thereof, and it shall devour|strong="H0398" the palaces|strong="H0759" of Jerusalem|strong="H3389", and it shall not be quenched|strong="H3518".
