Jó 8

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

Then answered|strong="H6030" Bildad|strong="H1085" the Shuhite|strong="H7747", and said|strong="H0559",

How|strong="H0575" long|strong="H5704" wilt thou speak|strong="H4448" these things? and how long shall the words|strong="H0561" of thy mouth|strong="H6310" be like a strong|strong="H3524" wind|strong="H7307"?

Doth God|strong="H0410" pervert|strong="H5791" judgment|strong="H4941"? or doth the Almighty|strong="H7706" pervert|strong="H5791" justice|strong="H6664"?

If thy children|strong="H1121" have sinned|strong="H2398" against him, and he have cast them away|strong="H7971" for|strong="H3027" their transgression|strong="H6588";

If thou wouldest seek|strong="H7836" unto God|strong="H0410" betimes|strong="H7836", and make thy supplication|strong="H2603" to the Almighty|strong="H7706";

If thou wert pure|strong="H2134" and upright|strong="H3477"; surely now he would awake|strong="H5782" for thee, and make the habitation|strong="H5116" of thy righteousness|strong="H6664" prosperous|strong="H7999".

Though thy beginning|strong="H7225" was small|strong="H4705", yet thy latter end|strong="H0319" should greatly|strong="H3966" increase|strong="H7685".

For enquire|strong="H7592", I pray thee, of the former|strong="H7223" age|strong="H1755", and prepare|strong="H3559" thyself to the search|strong="H2714" of their fathers|strong="H0001":

(For we are but of yesterday|strong="H8543", and know|strong="H3045" nothing, because our days|strong="H3117" upon earth|strong="H0776" are a shadow|strong="H6738":)

Shall not they teach|strong="H3384" thee, and tell|strong="H0559" thee, and utter|strong="H3318" words|strong="H4405" out of their heart|strong="H3820"?

Can the rush|strong="H1573" grow up|strong="H1342" without mire|strong="H1207"? can|strong="H7685" the flag|strong="H0260" grow|strong="H7685" without|strong="H1097" water|strong="H4325"?

Whilst it is yet in his greenness|strong="H0003", and not cut down|strong="H6998", it withereth|strong="H3001" before|strong="H6440" any other herb|strong="H2682".

So are the paths|strong="H0734" of all that forget|strong="H7911" God|strong="H0410"; and the hypocrite’s|strong="H2611" hope|strong="H8615" shall perish|strong="H0006":

Whose hope|strong="H3689" shall be cut off|strong="H6990", and whose trust|strong="H4009" shall be a spider’s|strong="H5908" web|strong="H1004".

He shall lean|strong="H8172" upon his house|strong="H1004", but it shall not stand|strong="H5975": he shall hold|strong="H2388" it fast, but it shall not endure|strong="H6965".

He is green|strong="H7373" before|strong="H6440" the sun|strong="H8121", and his branch|strong="H3127" shooteth forth|strong="H3318" in his garden|strong="H1593".

His roots|strong="H8328" are wrapped about|strong="H5440" the heap|strong="H1530", and seeth|strong="H2372" the place|strong="H1004" of stones|strong="H0068".

If he destroy|strong="H1104" him from his place|strong="H4725", then it shall deny|strong="H3584" him, saying, I have not seen|strong="H7200" thee.

Behold, this is the joy|strong="H4885" of his way|strong="H1870", and out of the earth|strong="H6083" shall others|strong="H0312" grow|strong="H6779".

Behold, God|strong="H0410" will not cast away|strong="H3988" a perfect|strong="H8535" man, neither will he help|strong="H2388" the evil doers|strong="H7489":

Till he fill|strong="H4390" thy mouth|strong="H6310" with laughing|strong="H7814", and thy lips|strong="H8193" with rejoicing|strong="H8643".

They that hate|strong="H8130" thee shall be clothed|strong="H3847" with shame|strong="H1322"; and the dwelling|strong="H0168" place of the wicked|strong="H7563" shall come to nought|strong="H0369".
