2 Ouvi isto, vós anciãos, e escutai, todos os moradores da terra: Porventura isto aconteceu em vossos dias, ou nos dias de vossos pais?
3 Tell|strong="H5608" ye your children|strong="H1121" of it, and let your children|strong="H1121" tell their children|strong="H1121", and their children|strong="H1121" another|strong="H0312" generation|strong="H1755".
3 Fazei sobre isto uma narração a vossos filhos, e vossos filhos a seus filhos, e os filhos destes à outra geração.

5 Despertai-vos, bêbados, e chorai; gemei, todos os que bebeis vinho, por causa do mosto, porque tirado é da vossa boca.
6 For a nation|strong="H1471" is come up|strong="H5927" upon my land|strong="H0776", strong|strong="H6099", and without number|strong="H4557", whose teeth|strong="H8127" are the teeth|strong="H8127" of a lion|strong="H0738", and he hath the cheek teeth|strong="H4973" of a great lion|strong="H3833".
6 Porque subiu contra a minha terra uma nação poderosa e sem número; os seus dentes são dentes de leão, e têm queixadas de um leão velho.

7 Fez da minha vide uma assolação, e tirou a casca da minha figueira; despiu-a toda, e a lançou por terra; os seus sarmentos se embranqueceram.

8 Lamenta como a virgem que está cingida de saco, pelo marido da sua mocidade.
9 The meat offering|strong="H4503" and the drink offering|strong="H5262" is cut off|strong="H3772" from the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; the priests|strong="H3548", the \+w LORD’s|strong="H3068"\+w* ministers|strong="H8334", mourn|strong="H0056".
9 Foi cortada a oferta de alimentos e a libação da casa do Senhor; os sacerdotes, ministros do Senhor, estão entristecidos.
10 The field|strong="H7704" is wasted|strong="H7703", the land|strong="H0127" mourneth|strong="H0056"; for the corn|strong="H1715" is wasted|strong="H7703": the new wine|strong="H8492" is dried up|strong="H3001", the oil|strong="H3323" languisheth|strong="H0535".
10 O campo está assolado, e a terra triste; porque o trigo está destruído, o mosto se secou, o azeite acabou.
11 Be ye ashamed|strong="H3001", O ye husbandmen|strong="H0406"; howl|strong="H3213", O ye vinedressers|strong="H3755", for the wheat|strong="H2406" and for the barley|strong="H8184"; because the harvest|strong="H7105" of the field|strong="H7704" is perished|strong="H0006".
11 Envergonhai-vos, lavradores, gemei, vinhateiros, sobre o trigo e a cevada; porque a colheita do campo pereceu.
12 The vine|strong="H1612" is dried up|strong="H3001", and the fig tree|strong="H8384" languisheth|strong="H0535"; the pomegranate|strong="H7416" tree, the palm tree|strong="H8558" also, and the apple tree|strong="H8598", even all the trees|strong="H6086" of the field|strong="H7704", are withered|strong="H3001": because joy|strong="H8342" is withered away|strong="H3001" from the sons|strong="H1121" of men|strong="H0120".
12 A vide se secou, a figueira se murchou, a romeira também, e a palmeira e a macieira; todas as árvores do campo se secaram, e já não há alegria entre os filhos dos homens.
13 Gird|strong="H2296" yourselves, and lament|strong="H5594", ye priests|strong="H3548": howl|strong="H3213", ye ministers|strong="H8334" of the altar|strong="H4196": come|strong="H0935", lie all night|strong="H3885" in sackcloth|strong="H8242", ye ministers|strong="H8334" of my God|strong="H0430": for the meat offering|strong="H4503" and the drink offering|strong="H5262" is withholden|strong="H4513" from the house|strong="H1004" of your God|strong="H0430".
13 Cingi-vos e lamentai-vos, sacerdotes; gemei, ministros do altar; entrai e passai a noite vestidos de saco, ministros do meu Deus; porque a oferta de alimentos, e a libação, foram cortadas da casa de vosso Deus.
14 Sanctify|strong="H6942" ye a fast|strong="H6685", call|strong="H7121" a solemn assembly|strong="H6116", gather|strong="H0622" the elders|strong="H2205" and all the inhabitants|strong="H3427" of the land|strong="H0776" into the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* your God|strong="H0430", and cry|strong="H2199" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*,
14 Santificai um jejum, convocai uma assembléia solene, congregai os anciãos, e todos os moradores desta terra, na casa do Senhor vosso Deus, e clamai ao Senhor.
15 Alas|strong="H0162" for the day|strong="H3117"! for the day|strong="H3117" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* is at hand|strong="H7138", and as a destruction|strong="H7701" from the Almighty|strong="H7706" shall it come|strong="H0935".
15 Ai do dia! Porque o dia do Senhor está perto, e virá como uma assolação do Todo-Poderoso.
16 Is not the meat|strong="H0400" cut off|strong="H3772" before our eyes|strong="H5869", yea, joy|strong="H8057" and gladness|strong="H1524" from the house|strong="H1004" of our God|strong="H0430"?
16 Porventura o mantimento não está cortado de diante de nossos olhos, a alegria e o regozijo da casa de nosso Deus?
17 The seed|strong="H6507" is rotten|strong="H5685" under their clods|strong="H4053", the garners|strong="H0214" are laid desolate|strong="H8074", the barns|strong="H4460" are broken down|strong="H2040"; for the corn|strong="H1715" is withered|strong="H3001".
17 As sementes apodreceram debaixo dos seus torrões, os celeiros foram assolados, os armazéns derrubados, porque se secou o trigo.
18 How do the beasts|strong="H0929" groan|strong="H0584"! the herds|strong="H5739" of cattle|strong="H1241" are perplexed|strong="H0943", because they have no pasture|strong="H4829"; yea, the flocks|strong="H5739" of sheep|strong="H6629" are made desolate|strong="H0816".
18 Como geme o animal! As manadas de gados estão confusas, porque não têm pasto; também os rebanhos de ovelhas estão perecendo.
19 O \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, to thee will I cry|strong="H7121": for the fire|strong="H0784" hath devoured|strong="H0398" the pastures|strong="H4999" of the wilderness|strong="H4057", and the flame|strong="H3852" hath burned|strong="H3857" all the trees|strong="H6086" of the field|strong="H7704".
19 A ti, ó Senhor, clamo, porque o fogo consumiu os pastos do deserto, e a chama abrasou todas as árvores do campo.
20 The beasts|strong="H0929" of the field|strong="H7704" cry|strong="H6165" also unto thee: for the rivers|strong="H0650" of waters|strong="H4325" are dried up|strong="H3001", and the fire|strong="H0784" hath devoured|strong="H0398" the pastures|strong="H4999" of the wilderness|strong="H4057".
20 Também todos os animais do campo bramam a ti; porque as correntes de água se secaram, e o fogo consumiu os pastos do deserto.
