1 Let us|strong="G5399" therefore|strong="G3767" fear|strong="G5399", lest|strong="G3379", a promise|strong="G1860" being left|strong="G2641" us of entering|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" his|strong="G0846" rest|strong="G2663", any|strong="G5100" of|strong="G1537" you|strong="G5216" should seem|strong="G1380" to come short of it|strong="G5302".
2 For|strong="G1063" unto|strong="G2097" us was|strong="G2070" the gospel preached|strong="G2097", as well as|strong="G2509" unto them|strong="G2548": but|strong="G0235" the word|strong="G3056" preached|strong="G0189" did|strong="G5623" not|strong="G3756" profit|strong="G5623" them|strong="G1565", not|strong="G3361" being mixed with|strong="G4786" faith|strong="G4102" in them that heard|strong="G0191" it.
3 For|strong="G1063" we|strong="G1525" which have believed|strong="G4100" do enter|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" rest|strong="G2663", as|strong="G2531" he said|strong="G2046", As|strong="G5613" I have sworn|strong="G3660" in|strong="G1722" my|strong="G3450" wrath|strong="G3709", if|strong="G1487" they shall enter|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" my|strong="G3450" rest|strong="G2663": although|strong="G2543" the works|strong="G2041" were finished|strong="G1096" from|strong="G0575" the foundation|strong="G2602" of the world|strong="G2889".
4 For|strong="G1063" he spake|strong="G2046" in a certain place|strong="G4225" of|strong="G4012" the seventh|strong="G1442" day on this wise|strong="G3779", And|strong="G2532" God|strong="G2316" did rest|strong="G2664" the|strong="G2250" seventh|strong="G1442" day|strong="G2250" from|strong="G0575" all|strong="G3956" his|strong="G0846" works|strong="G2041".
5 And|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" this|strong="G5129" place again|strong="G3825", If|strong="G1487" they shall enter|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" my|strong="G3450" rest|strong="G2663".

8 For|strong="G1063" if|strong="G1487" Jesus|strong="G2424" had given|strong="G2664" them|strong="G0846" rest|strong="G2664", then|strong="G0302" would he|strong="G2980" not|strong="G3756" afterward|strong="G3326" have spoken|strong="G2980" of|strong="G4012" another|strong="G0243" day|strong="G2250".
9 There remaineth|strong="G0620" therefore|strong="G0686" a rest|strong="G4520" to the people|strong="G2992" of God|strong="G2316".
10 For|strong="G1063" he that is entered|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" his|strong="G0846" rest|strong="G2663", he|strong="G0846" also|strong="G2532" hath ceased|strong="G2664" from|strong="G0575" his own|strong="G2398" works|strong="G2041", as|strong="G5618" God|strong="G2316" did from|strong="G0575" his|strong="G0846".
11 Let us labour|strong="G4704" therefore|strong="G3767" to enter|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" that|strong="G1565" rest|strong="G2663", lest|strong="G3361" any man|strong="G5100" fall|strong="G4098" after|strong="G1722" the same|strong="G0846" example|strong="G5262" of unbelief|strong="G0543".
12 For|strong="G1063" the word|strong="G3056" of God|strong="G2316" is quick|strong="G2198", and|strong="G2532" powerful|strong="G1756", and|strong="G2532" sharper|strong="G5114" than|strong="G5228" any|strong="G3956" twoedged|strong="G1366" sword|strong="G3162", piercing|strong="G1338" even|strong="G2532" to|strong="G0891" the dividing asunder|strong="G3311" of soul|strong="G5590" and|strong="G2532" spirit|strong="G4151", and|strong="G5037" of the joints|strong="G0719" and|strong="G2532" marrow|strong="G3452", and|strong="G2532" is a discerner|strong="G2924" of the thoughts|strong="G1761" and|strong="G2532" intents|strong="G1771" of the heart|strong="G2588".
13 Neither|strong="G3756" is there|strong="G2076" any creature|strong="G2937" that is not manifest|strong="G0852" in|strong="G1799" his|strong="G0846" sight|strong="G1799": but|strong="G1161" all things|strong="G3956" are naked|strong="G1131" and|strong="G2532" opened|strong="G5136" unto the eyes|strong="G3788" of him|strong="G0846" with|strong="G4314" whom|strong="G3739" we have|strong="G2254" to do|strong="G3056".
14 Seeing then|strong="G3767" that we have|strong="G2192" a|strong="G0749" great|strong="G3173" high priest|strong="G0749", that is passed into|strong="G1330" the heavens|strong="G3772", Jesus|strong="G2424" the Son|strong="G5207" of God|strong="G2316", let us hold fast|strong="G2902" our profession|strong="G3671".
15 For|strong="G1063" we have|strong="G2192" not|strong="G3756" an high priest which|strong="G0749" can|strong="G1410"not|strong="G3361" be touched with the feeling of|strong="G4834" our|strong="G2257" infirmities|strong="G0769"; but|strong="G1161" was|strong="G3985" in|strong="G2596" all points|strong="G3956" tempted|strong="G3985" like as|strong="G3665" we are, yet without|strong="G5565" sin|strong="G0266".
16 Let us|strong="G4334" therefore|strong="G3767" come|strong="G4334" bold|strong="G3954"ly|strong="G3326" unto the throne|strong="G2362" of grace|strong="G5485", that|strong="G2443" we may obtain|strong="G2983" mercy|strong="G1656", and|strong="G2532" find|strong="G2147" grace|strong="G5485" to|strong="G1519" help|strong="G0996" in time of need|strong="G2121".
