2 Who was|strong="G5607" faithful|strong="G4103" to him that appointed|strong="G4160" him|strong="G0846", as|strong="G5613" also|strong="G2532" Moses|strong="G3475" was faithful in|strong="G1722" all|strong="G3650" his|strong="G0846" house|strong="G3624".
3 For|strong="G1063" this|strong="G3778" man was counted worthy|strong="G0515" of|strong="G1391" more|strong="G4119" glory|strong="G1391" than|strong="G3844" Moses|strong="G3475", in|strong="G2596"asmuch as|strong="G3745" he who hath builded|strong="G2680" the house|strong="G0846" hath|strong="G2192" more|strong="G4119" honour|strong="G5092" than the house|strong="G3624".
4 For|strong="G1063" every|strong="G3956" house|strong="G3624" is builded|strong="G2680" by|strong="G5259" some|strong="G5100" man; but|strong="G1161" he that built|strong="G2680" all things|strong="G3956" is God|strong="G2316".
5 And|strong="G2532" Moses|strong="G3475" verily|strong="G3303" was faithful|strong="G4103" in|strong="G1722" all|strong="G3650" his|strong="G0846" house|strong="G3624", as|strong="G5613" a servant|strong="G2324", for|strong="G1519" a testimony|strong="G3142" of those things which were to be spoken after|strong="G2980";
6 But|strong="G1161" Christ|strong="G5547" as|strong="G5613" a son|strong="G5207" over|strong="G1909" his own|strong="G0846" house|strong="G3624"; whose|strong="G3739" house|strong="G3624" are we|strong="G2070", if|strong="G1437" we|strong="G2249" hold fast|strong="G2722" the confidence|strong="G3954" and|strong="G2532" the rejoicing|strong="G2745" of the hope|strong="G1680" firm|strong="G0949" unto|strong="G3360" the end|strong="G5056".
7 Wherefore|strong="G1352" (as|strong="G2531" the|strong="G4151" Holy|strong="G0040" Ghost|strong="G4151" saith|strong="G3004", To day|strong="G4594" if|strong="G1437" ye will hear|strong="G0191" his|strong="G0846" voice|strong="G5456",
8 Harden|strong="G4645" not|strong="G3361" your|strong="G5216" hearts|strong="G2588", as|strong="G5613" in|strong="G1722" the provocation|strong="G3894", in|strong="G2596" the day|strong="G2250" of temptation|strong="G3986" in|strong="G1722" the wilderness|strong="G2048":
9 When|strong="G3757" your|strong="G5216" fathers|strong="G3962" tempted|strong="G3985" me|strong="G3165", proved|strong="G1381" me|strong="G3165", and|strong="G2532" saw|strong="G1492" my|strong="G3450" works|strong="G2041" forty|strong="G5062" years|strong="G2094".
10 Wherefore|strong="G1352" I was grieved with|strong="G4360" that|strong="G1565" generation|strong="G1074", and|strong="G2532" said|strong="G2036", They do|strong="G4105" alway|strong="G0104" err|strong="G4105" in|strong="G2588" their heart|strong="G2588"; and|strong="G1161" they|strong="G0846" have|strong="G1097" not|strong="G3756" known|strong="G1097" my|strong="G3450" ways|strong="G3598".
11 So|strong="G5613" I sware|strong="G3660" in|strong="G1722" my|strong="G3450" wrath|strong="G3709", They shall|strong="G1525" not|strong="G1487" enter|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" my|strong="G3450" rest|strong="G2663".)
12 Take heed|strong="G0991", brethren|strong="G0080", lest|strong="G3379" there be|strong="G2071" in|strong="G1722" any|strong="G5100" of you|strong="G5216" an|strong="G2588" evil|strong="G4190" heart|strong="G2588" of unbelief|strong="G0570", in|strong="G1722" departing|strong="G0868" from|strong="G0575" the living|strong="G2198" God|strong="G2316".
13 But|strong="G0235" exhort|strong="G3870" one another|strong="G1438" daily|strong="G2250", while|strong="G0891" it is called|strong="G2564" To day|strong="G4594"; lest|strong="G2443" any|strong="G5100" of|strong="G1537" you|strong="G5216" be hardened|strong="G4645" through the deceitfulness|strong="G0539" of sin|strong="G0266".
14 For|strong="G1063" we are made|strong="G1096" partakers|strong="G3353" of Christ|strong="G5547", if|strong="G1437" we hold|strong="G2722" the beginning|strong="G0746" of our confidence|strong="G5287" stedfast|strong="G0949" unto|strong="G3360" the end|strong="G5056";
15 While|strong="G1722" it is said|strong="G3004", To day|strong="G4594" if|strong="G1437" ye will hear|strong="G0191" his|strong="G0846" voice|strong="G5456", harden|strong="G4645" not|strong="G3361" your|strong="G5216" hearts|strong="G2588", as|strong="G5613" in|strong="G1722" the provocation|strong="G3894".
16 For|strong="G1063" some|strong="G5100", when they had heard|strong="G0191", did provoke|strong="G3893": howbeit|strong="G0235" not|strong="G3756" all|strong="G3956" that came|strong="G1831" out of|strong="G1537" Egypt|strong="G0125" by|strong="G1223" Moses|strong="G3475".
17 But|strong="G1161" with whom|strong="G5101" was he grieved|strong="G4360" forty|strong="G5062" years|strong="G2094"? was it not|strong="G3780" with them that had sinned|strong="G0264", whose|strong="G3739" carcases|strong="G2966" fell|strong="G4098" in|strong="G1722" the wilderness|strong="G2048"?
18 And|strong="G1161" to whom|strong="G5101" sware he|strong="G3660" that|strong="G3361" they should|strong="G1525" not|strong="G3361" enter|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" his|strong="G0846" rest|strong="G2663", but|strong="G1487" to them that believed not|strong="G0544"?
19 So|strong="G2532" we see|strong="G0991" that|strong="G3754" they could|strong="G1410" not|strong="G3756" enter in|strong="G1525" because of|strong="G1223" unbelief|strong="G0570".
