1 After|strong="H0310" these things|strong="H1697" the word|strong="H1697" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* came|strong="H1961" unto Abram|strong="H0087" in a vision|strong="H4236", saying|strong="H0559", Fear|strong="H3372" not, Abram|strong="H0087": I am thy shield|strong="H4043", and thy exceeding|strong="H3966" great|strong="H7235" reward|strong="H7939".
1 Algum tempo depois, o S enhor falou a Abrão em uma visão e lhe disse: “Não tenha medo, Abrão, pois eu serei seu escudo, e sua recompensa será muito grande”.
2 And Abram|strong="H0087" said|strong="H0559", Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*, what wilt thou give|strong="H5414" me, seeing I go|strong="H1980" childless|strong="H6185", and the steward|strong="H1121" of my house|strong="H1004" is this|strong="H1931" Eliezer|strong="H0461" of Damascus|strong="H1834"?
2 Abrão, porém, respondeu: “Ó S enhor Soberano, de que me adiantam todas as tuas bênçãos se eu nem mesmo tenho um filho? Uma vez que não me deste filhos, Eliézer de Damasco, servo em minha casa, herdará toda a minha riqueza.
3 And Abram|strong="H0087" said|strong="H0559", Behold, to me thou hast given|strong="H5414" no|strong="H3808" seed|strong="H2233": and, lo, one born|strong="H1121" in my house|strong="H1004" is mine heir|strong="H3423".
3 Não me deste nenhum descendente próprio e, por isso, um dos meus servos será meu herdeiro”.
4 And, behold, the word|strong="H1697" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* came unto him, saying|strong="H0559", This shall not be thine heir|strong="H3423"; but he that shall come forth|strong="H3318" out of thine own bowels|strong="H4578" shall be thine heir|strong="H3423".
4 O S enhor lhe disse: “Não, não será esse o seu herdeiro; você terá seu próprio filho, e ele será seu herdeiro”.
5 And he brought him forth|strong="H3318" abroad|strong="H2351", and said|strong="H0559", Look|strong="H5027" now toward heaven|strong="H8064", and tell|strong="H5608" the stars|strong="H3556", if thou be able|strong="H3201" to number|strong="H5608" them: and he said|strong="H0559" unto him, So|strong="H3541" shall thy seed|strong="H2233" be.
5 Em seguida, levou Abrão para fora e lhe disse: “Olhe para o céu e conte as estrelas, se for capaz. Este é o número de descendentes que você terá”.
6 And he believed|strong="H0539" in the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; and he counted|strong="H2803" it to him for righteousness|strong="H6666".
6 Abrão creu no S enhor , e assim foi considerado justo.
7 And he said|strong="H0559" unto him, I am the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* that brought thee out|strong="H3318" of Ur|strong="H0218" of the Chaldees|strong="H3778", to give|strong="H5414" thee this land|strong="H0776" to inherit|strong="H3423" it.
7 Então o S enhor lhe disse: “Eu sou o S enhor , que o tirei de Ur dos caldeus para lhe dar esta terra como posse”.
8 And he said|strong="H0559", Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*, whereby|strong="H4100" shall I know|strong="H3045" that I shall inherit it|strong="H3423"?
8 Abrão perguntou: “Ó S enhor Soberano, como posso ter certeza de que a possuirei de fato?”.
9 And he said|strong="H0559" unto him, Take|strong="H3947" me an heifer|strong="H5697" of three years old|strong="H8027", and a she goat|strong="H5795" of three years old|strong="H8027", and a ram|strong="H0352" of three years old|strong="H8027", and a turtledove|strong="H8449", and a young pigeon|strong="H1469".
9 O S enhor respondeu: “Traga-me uma novilha, uma cabra e um carneiro, todos com três anos, mais uma rolinha e um pombinho”.
10 And he took|strong="H3947" unto him all these, and divided|strong="H1334" them in the midst|strong="H8432", and laid|strong="H5414" each|strong="H0376" piece|strong="H1335" one against|strong="H7125" another|strong="H7453": but the birds|strong="H6833" divided|strong="H1334" he not.
10 Abrão lhe apresentou todos esses animais e os matou. Em seguida, cortou cada um deles ao meio e colocou as metades lado a lado; as aves, porém, não cortou ao meio.
11 And when the fowls|strong="H5861" came down|strong="H3381" upon the carcases|strong="H6297", Abram|strong="H0087" drove them away|strong="H5380".
11 Aves de rapina mergulharam para comer as carcaças, mas Abrão as afugentou.
12 And when the sun|strong="H8121" was going down|strong="H0935", a deep sleep|strong="H8639" fell|strong="H5307" upon Abram|strong="H0087"; and, lo, an horror|strong="H0367" of great|strong="H1419" darkness|strong="H2825" fell|strong="H5307" upon him.
12 Enquanto o sol se punha, Abrão caiu em sono profundo, e uma escuridão apavorante desceu sobre ele.
13 And he said|strong="H0559" unto Abram|strong="H0087", Know|strong="H3045" of a surety|strong="H3045" that thy seed|strong="H2233" shall be a stranger|strong="H1616" in a land|strong="H0776" that is not theirs, and shall serve|strong="H5647" them; and they shall afflict|strong="H6031" them four|strong="H0702" hundred|strong="H3967" years|strong="H8141";
13 Então o S enhor disse a Abrão: “Esteja certo de que seus descendentes serão forasteiros em terra alheia, onde sofrerão opressão como escravos por quatrocentos anos.
14 And also that nation|strong="H1471", whom they shall serve|strong="H5647", will I judge|strong="H1777": and afterward|strong="H0310" shall they come out|strong="H3318" with great|strong="H1419" substance|strong="H7399".
14 Mas eu castigarei a nação que os escravizar e, por fim, eles sairão de lá com grande riqueza.
15 And thou shalt go|strong="H0935" to thy fathers|strong="H0001" in peace|strong="H7965"; thou shalt be buried|strong="H6912" in a good|strong="H2896" old age|strong="H7872".
15 (Você, por sua vez, morrerá em paz e será sepultado em idade avançada.)
16 But in the fourth|strong="H7243" generation|strong="H1755" they shall come hither|strong="H2008" again|strong="H7725": for the iniquity|strong="H5771" of the Amorites|strong="H0567" is not yet|strong="H2008" full|strong="H8003".
16 Depois de quatro gerações, seus descendentes voltarão a esta terra, pois a maldade dos amorreus ainda não chegou ao ponto de provocar meu castigo”.
17 And it came to pass, that, when the sun|strong="H8121" went down|strong="H0935", and it was dark|strong="H5939", behold a smoking|strong="H6227" furnace|strong="H8574", and a burning|strong="H0784" lamp|strong="H3940" that passed|strong="H5674" between|strong="H0996" those pieces|strong="H1506".
17 Quando o sol se pôs e veio a escuridão, Abrão viu um fogareiro fumegante e uma tocha ardente passarem por entre as metades das carcaças.
18 In the same|strong="H1931" day|strong="H3117" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* made|strong="H3772" a covenant|strong="H1285" with Abram|strong="H0087", saying|strong="H0559", Unto thy seed|strong="H2233" have I given|strong="H5414" this land|strong="H0776", from the river|strong="H5104" of Egypt|strong="H4714" unto the great|strong="H1419" river|strong="H5104", the river|strong="H5104" Euphrates|strong="H6578":
18 Então o S enhor fez uma aliança com Abrão naquele dia e disse: “Dei esta terra a seus descendentes, desde a fronteira com o Egito até o grande rio Eufrates,
19 The Kenites|strong="H7017", and the Kenizzites|strong="H7074", and the Kadmonites|strong="H6935",
19 a terra hoje ocupada pelos queneus, quenezeus, cadmoneus,
20 And the Hittites|strong="H2850", and the Perizzites|strong="H6522", and the Rephaims|strong="H7497",
20 hititas, ferezeus, refains,
21 And the Amorites|strong="H0567", and the Canaanites|strong="H3669", and the Girgashites|strong="H1622", and the Jebusites|strong="H2983".
21 amorreus, cananeus, girgaseus e jebuseus”.
