And they took their journey|strong="H5265" from Elim|strong="H0362", and all the congregation|strong="H5712" of the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" came|strong="H0935" unto the wilderness|strong="H4057" of Sin|strong="H5512", which is between Elim|strong="H0362" and Sinai|strong="H5514", on the fifteenth|strong="H2568" day|strong="H3117" of the second|strong="H8145" month|strong="H2320" after their departing out|strong="H3318" of the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714".
And the whole congregation|strong="H5712" of the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" murmured|strong="H3885" against Moses|strong="H4872" and Aaron|strong="H0175" in the wilderness|strong="H4057":
And the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" said|strong="H0559" unto them, Would to God|strong="H4310" we had died|strong="H4191" by the hand|strong="H3027" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* in the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714", when we sat|strong="H3427" by the flesh|strong="H1320" pots|strong="H5518", and when we did eat|strong="H0398" bread|strong="H3899" to the full|strong="H7648"; for ye have brought us forth|strong="H3318" into this wilderness|strong="H4057", to kill|strong="H4191" this whole assembly|strong="H6951" with hunger|strong="H7458".
Then said|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* unto Moses|strong="H4872", Behold, I will rain|strong="H4305" bread|strong="H3899" from heaven|strong="H8064" for you; and the people|strong="H5971" shall go out|strong="H3318" and gather|strong="H3950" a certain rate|strong="H1697" every day|strong="H3117", that I may prove|strong="H5254" them, whether they will walk|strong="H3212" in my law|strong="H8451", or no.
And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth|strong="H8345" day|strong="H3117" they shall prepare|strong="H3559" that which|strong="H0834" they bring in|strong="H0935"; and it shall be twice|strong="H4932" as much as they gather|strong="H3950" daily|strong="H3117".
And Moses|strong="H4872" and Aaron|strong="H0175" said|strong="H0559" unto all the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478", At even|strong="H6153", then ye shall know|strong="H3045" that the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath brought you out|strong="H3318" from the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714":
And in the morning|strong="H1242", then ye shall see|strong="H7200" the glory|strong="H3519" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; for that he heareth|strong="H8085" your murmurings|strong="H8519" against the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: and what are we|strong="H5168", that ye murmur|strong="H3885" against us?
And Moses|strong="H4872" said|strong="H0559", This shall be, when the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* shall give|strong="H5414" you in the evening|strong="H6153" flesh|strong="H1320" to eat|strong="H0398", and in the morning|strong="H1242" bread|strong="H3899" to the full|strong="H7646"; for that the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* heareth|strong="H8085" your murmurings|strong="H8519" which ye murmur|strong="H3885" against him: and what are we|strong="H5168"? your murmurings|strong="H8519" are not against us, but against the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
And Moses|strong="H4872" spake|strong="H0559" unto Aaron|strong="H0175", Say|strong="H0559" unto all the congregation|strong="H5712" of the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478", Come near|strong="H7126" before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: for he hath heard|strong="H8085" your murmurings|strong="H8519".
And it came to pass, as Aaron|strong="H0175" spake|strong="H1696" unto the whole congregation|strong="H5712" of the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478", that they looked|strong="H6437" toward the wilderness|strong="H4057", and, behold, the glory|strong="H3519" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* appeared|strong="H7200" in the cloud|strong="H6051".
And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* spake|strong="H1696" unto Moses|strong="H4872", saying|strong="H0559",
I have heard|strong="H8085" the murmurings|strong="H8519" of the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478": speak|strong="H1696" unto them, saying|strong="H0559", At even|strong="H0996" ye shall eat|strong="H0398" flesh|strong="H1320", and in the morning|strong="H1242" ye shall be filled|strong="H7646" with bread|strong="H3899"; and ye shall know|strong="H3045" that I am the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* your God|strong="H0430".
And it came to pass, that at even|strong="H6153" the quails|strong="H7958" came up|strong="H5927", and covered|strong="H3680" the camp|strong="H4264": and in the morning|strong="H1242" the dew|strong="H2919" lay|strong="H7902" round about|strong="H5439" the host|strong="H4264".
And when the dew|strong="H2919" that lay|strong="H7902" was gone up|strong="H5927", behold, upon the face|strong="H6440" of the wilderness|strong="H4057" there lay a small|strong="H1851" round thing|strong="H2636", as small|strong="H1851" as the hoar frost|strong="H3713" on the ground|strong="H0776".
And when the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" saw|strong="H7200" it, they said|strong="H0559" one|strong="H0376" to another|strong="H0251", It is manna|strong="H4478": for they wist|strong="H3045" not what it was. And Moses|strong="H4872" said|strong="H0559" unto them, This is the bread|strong="H3899" which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath given|strong="H5414" you to eat|strong="H0402".
This is the thing|strong="H1697" which|strong="H0834" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath commanded|strong="H6680", Gather|strong="H3950" of it every man|strong="H0376" according|strong="H6310" to his eating|strong="H0400", an omer|strong="H6016" for every man|strong="H1538", according to the number|strong="H4557" of your persons|strong="H5315"; take|strong="H3947" ye every man|strong="H0376" for them which are in his tents|strong="H0168".
And the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" did|strong="H6213" so, and gathered|strong="H3950", some more|strong="H7235", some less|strong="H4591".
And when they did mete|strong="H4058" it with an omer|strong="H6016", he that gathered much|strong="H7235" had nothing over|strong="H5736", and he that gathered little|strong="H4591" had no lack|strong="H2637"; they gathered|strong="H3950" every man|strong="H0376" according|strong="H6310" to his eating|strong="H0400".
And Moses|strong="H4872" said|strong="H0559", Let no man|strong="H0376" leave|strong="H3498" of it till the morning|strong="H1242".
Notwithstanding they hearkened|strong="H8085" not unto Moses|strong="H4872"; but some|strong="H0582" of them left|strong="H3498" of it until the morning|strong="H1242", and it bred|strong="H7311" worms|strong="H8438", and stank|strong="H0887": and Moses|strong="H4872" was wroth|strong="H7107" with them.
And they gathered|strong="H3950" it every morning|strong="H1242", every man|strong="H0376" according|strong="H6310" to his eating|strong="H0400": and when the sun|strong="H8121" waxed hot|strong="H2552", it melted|strong="H4549".
And it came to pass, that on the sixth|strong="H8345" day|strong="H3117" they gathered|strong="H3950" twice|strong="H4932" as much bread|strong="H3899", two|strong="H8147" omers|strong="H6016" for one|strong="H0259" man: and all the rulers|strong="H5387" of the congregation|strong="H5712" came|strong="H0935" and told|strong="H5046" Moses|strong="H4872".
And he said|strong="H0559" unto them, This is that which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath said|strong="H1696", To morrow|strong="H4279" is the rest|strong="H7677" of the holy|strong="H6944" sabbath|strong="H7676" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: bake|strong="H0644" that which ye will bake|strong="H0644" to day, and seethe|strong="H1310" that ye will seethe|strong="H1310"; and that which|strong="H3605" remaineth over|strong="H5736" lay up|strong="H3240" for you to be kept|strong="H4931" until the morning|strong="H1242".
And they laid it up|strong="H3240" till the morning|strong="H1242", as Moses|strong="H4872" bade|strong="H6680": and it did not stink|strong="H0887", neither was there any worm|strong="H7415" therein.
And Moses|strong="H4872" said|strong="H0559", Eat|strong="H0398" that to day|strong="H3117"; for to day|strong="H3117" is a sabbath|strong="H7676" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: to day|strong="H3117" ye shall not find|strong="H4672" it in the field|strong="H7704".
Six|strong="H8337" days|strong="H3117" ye shall gather|strong="H3950" it; but on the seventh|strong="H7637" day|strong="H3117", which is the sabbath|strong="H7676", in it there shall be none.
And it came to pass, that there went out|strong="H3318" some of the people|strong="H5971" on the seventh|strong="H7637" day|strong="H3117" for to gather|strong="H3950", and they found|strong="H4672" none.
And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559" unto Moses|strong="H4872", How long refuse|strong="H3985" ye to keep|strong="H8104" my commandments|strong="H4687" and my laws|strong="H8451"?
See|strong="H7200", for that the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath given|strong="H5414" you the sabbath|strong="H7676", therefore he giveth|strong="H5414" you on the sixth|strong="H8345" day|strong="H3117" the bread|strong="H3899" of two days|strong="H3117"; abide|strong="H3427" ye every man|strong="H0376" in his place, let no man|strong="H0376" go out|strong="H3318" of his place|strong="H4725" on the seventh|strong="H7637" day|strong="H3117".
So the people|strong="H5971" rested|strong="H7673" on the seventh|strong="H7637" day|strong="H3117".
And the house|strong="H1004" of Israel|strong="H3478" called|strong="H7121" the name|strong="H8034" thereof Manna|strong="H4478": and it was like coriander|strong="H1407" seed|strong="H2233", white|strong="H3836"; and the taste|strong="H2940" of it was like wafers|strong="H6838" made with honey|strong="H1706".
And Moses|strong="H4872" said|strong="H0559", This is the thing|strong="H1697" which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* commandeth|strong="H6680", Fill|strong="H4393" an omer|strong="H6016" of it to be kept|strong="H4931" for your generations|strong="H1755"; that they may see|strong="H7200" the bread|strong="H3899" wherewith I have fed|strong="H0398" you in the wilderness|strong="H4057", when I brought you forth|strong="H3318" from the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714".
And Moses|strong="H4872" said|strong="H0559" unto Aaron|strong="H0175", Take|strong="H3947" a|strong="H0259" pot|strong="H6803", and put|strong="H5414" an omer|strong="H6016" full|strong="H4393" of manna|strong="H4478" therein, and lay it up|strong="H3240" before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, to be kept|strong="H4931" for your generations|strong="H1755".
As the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* commanded|strong="H6680" Moses|strong="H4872", so Aaron|strong="H0175" laid it up|strong="H3240" before|strong="H6440" the Testimony|strong="H5715", to be kept|strong="H4931".
And the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" did eat|strong="H0398" manna|strong="H4478" forty|strong="H0705" years|strong="H8141", until they came|strong="H0935" to a land|strong="H0776" inhabited|strong="H3427"; they did eat|strong="H0398" manna|strong="H4478", until they came|strong="H0935" unto the borders|strong="H7097" of the land|strong="H0776" of Canaan|strong="H3667".
Now an omer|strong="H6016" is the tenth|strong="H6224" part of an ephah|strong="H0374".
