1 Moisés disse ao povo: — Tenham o cuidado de obedecer a todas as
2 And thou shalt remember|strong="H2142" all the way|strong="H1870" which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" led|strong="H3212" thee these forty|strong="H0705" years|strong="H8141" in the wilderness|strong="H4057", to humble|strong="H6031" thee, and to prove|strong="H5254" thee, to know|strong="H3045" what was in thine heart|strong="H3824", whether thou wouldest keep|strong="H8104" his commandments|strong="H4687", or no.
2 Lembrem como o nosso Deus guiou vocês pelo deserto esses quarenta anos. Durante essa longa caminhada, Deus os humilhou e os pôs à prova para saber se estavam resolvidos ou não a obedecer aos seus mandamentos.
3 And he humbled|strong="H6031" thee, and suffered thee to hunger|strong="H7456", and fed|strong="H0398" thee with manna|strong="H4478", which thou knewest|strong="H3045" not, neither did thy fathers|strong="H0001" know|strong="H3045"; that he might make thee know|strong="H3045" that man|strong="H0120" doth not live|strong="H2421" by bread|strong="H3899" only|strong="H0905", but by every word that proceedeth|strong="H4161" out of the mouth|strong="H6310" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* doth man|strong="H0120" live|strong="H2421".
3 Ele os deixou passar fome e depois lhes deu para comer o maná , uma comida que nem vocês nem os seus antepassados conheciam. Deus fez isso para que soubessem que o ser humano não vive só de pão, mas vive de tudo o que o Senhor Deus diz.
4 Thy raiment|strong="H8071" waxed not old|strong="H1086" upon thee, neither did thy foot|strong="H7272" swell|strong="H1216", these forty|strong="H0705" years|strong="H8141".
4 Durante esses quarenta anos as roupas que vocês vestiam não ficaram gastas, e os seus pés não ficaram inchados.
5 Thou shalt also consider|strong="H3045" in|strong="H5973" thine heart|strong="H3824", that, as a man|strong="H0376" chasteneth|strong="H3256" his son|strong="H1121", so the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" chasteneth|strong="H3256" thee.
5 Fiquem sabendo que o Senhor , nosso Deus, os corrige como um pai corrige o filho.
6 Therefore thou shalt keep|strong="H8104" the commandments|strong="H4687" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430", to walk|strong="H3212" in his ways|strong="H1870", and to fear|strong="H3372" him.
6 Obedeçam, pois, aos seus mandamentos, vivam de acordo com os seus ensinamentos e temam o Senhor , seu Deus.
7 For the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" bringeth|strong="H0935" thee into a good|strong="H2896" land|strong="H0776", a land|strong="H0776" of brooks|strong="H5158" of water|strong="H4325", of fountains|strong="H5869" and depths|strong="H8415" that spring out|strong="H3318" of valleys|strong="H1237" and hills|strong="H2022";
7 Pois ele os está levando para uma terra boa, cheia de rios, e ribeirões, e de fontes que jorram água pelos vales e pelas montanhas.
8 A land|strong="H0776" of wheat|strong="H2406", and barley|strong="H8184", and vines|strong="H1612", and fig trees|strong="H8384", and pomegranates|strong="H7416"; a land|strong="H0776" of oil|strong="H8081" olive|strong="H2132", and honey|strong="H1706";
8 É uma terra que produz trigo e cevada , uvas, figos e romãs, azeite e mel.
9 A land|strong="H0776" wherein|strong="H0834" thou shalt eat|strong="H0398" bread|strong="H3899" without|strong="H3808" scarceness|strong="H4544", thou shalt not lack|strong="H2637" any thing in it; a land|strong="H0776" whose stones|strong="H0068" are iron|strong="H1270", and out of whose hills|strong="H2042" thou mayest dig|strong="H2672" brass|strong="H5178".
9 É uma terra onde nunca faltará comida ou qualquer outra coisa para vocês, uma terra onde as pedras têm ferro e as montanhas têm minas de cobre.
10 When thou hast eaten|strong="H0398" and art full|strong="H7646", then thou shalt bless|strong="H1288" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" for the good|strong="H2896" land|strong="H0776" which he hath given|strong="H5414" thee.
10 Vocês terão toda a comida que precisarem e louvarão o Senhor , nosso Deus, pela boa terra que lhes deu.
11 Beware|strong="H8104" that thou forget|strong="H7911" not the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430", in not keeping|strong="H8104" his commandments|strong="H4687", and his judgments|strong="H4941", and his statutes|strong="H2708", which I command|strong="H6680" thee this day|strong="H3117":
11 — Nunca esqueçam o Senhor , nosso Deus, e tenham o cuidado de obedecer aos seus mandamentos e às suas leis , que hoje eu estou dando a vocês.
12 Lest when thou hast eaten|strong="H0398" and art full|strong="H7646", and hast built|strong="H1129" goodly|strong="H2896" houses|strong="H1004", and dwelt|strong="H3427" therein;
12 Naquela terra vocês terão toda a comida que quiserem; construirão casas boas, onde morarão;
13 And when thy herds|strong="H1241" and thy flocks|strong="H6629" multiply|strong="H7235", and thy silver|strong="H3701" and thy gold|strong="H2091" is multiplied|strong="H7235", and all that thou hast is multiplied|strong="H7235";
13 o seu gado e os seus rebanhos aumentarão; vocês ajuntarão mais prata e ouro e terão tudo de sobra.
14 Then thine heart|strong="H3824" be lifted up|strong="H7311", and thou forget|strong="H7911" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430", which brought thee forth|strong="H3318" out of the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714", from the house|strong="H1004" of bondage|strong="H5650";
14 Então, tomem cuidado para não ficarem orgulhosos e esquecerem o Senhor , nosso Deus, que os tirou do Egito, onde vocês eram escravos.
15 Who led|strong="H3212" thee through that great|strong="H1419" and terrible|strong="H3372" wilderness|strong="H4057", wherein were fiery|strong="H8314" serpents|strong="H5175", and scorpions|strong="H6137", and drought|strong="H6774", where there was no water|strong="H4325"; who brought thee forth|strong="H3318" water|strong="H4325" out of the rock|strong="H6697" of flint|strong="H2496";
15 Ele os levou por aquele enorme e perigoso deserto, cheio de cobras venenosas e de escorpiões, e onde não havia água. Mas no deserto Deus fez sair água da rocha bruta, para vocês beberem,
16 Who fed|strong="H0398" thee in the wilderness|strong="H4057" with manna|strong="H4478", which thy fathers|strong="H0001" knew|strong="H3045" not, that he might humble|strong="H6031" thee, and that he might prove|strong="H5254" thee, to do thee good|strong="H3190" at thy latter end|strong="H0319";
16 e lhes deu para comer o maná , uma comida que os seus antepassados não conheciam. Ele fez tudo isso para humilhá-los e para fazê-los passar por provas a fim de abençoá-los mais tarde.
17 And thou say|strong="H0559" in thine heart|strong="H3824", My power|strong="H3581" and the might|strong="H6108" of mine hand|strong="H3027" hath gotten|strong="H6213" me this wealth|strong="H2428".
17 — Portanto, não pensem que foi com a sua própria força e com o seu trabalho que vocês conseguiram todas essas riquezas.
18 But thou shalt remember|strong="H2142" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430": for it is he that giveth|strong="H5414" thee power|strong="H3581" to get|strong="H6213" wealth|strong="H2428", that he may establish|strong="H6965" his covenant|strong="H1285" which he sware|strong="H7650" unto thy fathers|strong="H0001", as it is this day|strong="H3117".
18 Lembrem do Senhor , nosso Deus, pois é ele quem lhes dá força para poderem conseguir riquezas. Vocês estão vendo que assim ele está cumprindo a aliança feita por meio de juramento com os nossos antepassados.
19 And it shall be, if thou do at all|strong="H7911" forget|strong="H7911" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430", and walk|strong="H1980" after|strong="H0310" other|strong="H0312" gods|strong="H0430", and serve|strong="H5647" them, and worship|strong="H7812" them, I testify|strong="H5749" against you this day|strong="H3117" that ye shall surely|strong="H0006" perish|strong="H0006".
19 Mas, se vocês esquecerem o Senhor , e adorarem e servirem outros deuses, eu aviso hoje que vocês certamente morrerão.
20 As the nations|strong="H1471" which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* destroyeth|strong="H0006" before your face|strong="H6440", so shall ye perish|strong="H0006"; because|strong="H6118" ye would not be obedient|strong="H8085" unto the voice|strong="H6963" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* your God|strong="H0430".
20 Se não obedecerem ao Senhor , nosso Deus, então vocês morrerão, como vão morrer os povos que Deus vai destruir na presença de vocês.
