1 When the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" shall bring|strong="H0935" thee into the land|strong="H0776" whither thou goest|strong="H0935" to possess|strong="H3423" it, and hath cast out|strong="H5394" many|strong="H7227" nations|strong="H1471" before|strong="H6440" thee, the Hittites|strong="H2850", and the Girgashites|strong="H1622", and the Amorites|strong="H0567", and the Canaanites|strong="H3669", and the Perizzites|strong="H6522", and the Hivites|strong="H2340", and the Jebusites|strong="H2983", seven|strong="H7651" nations|strong="H1471" greater|strong="H7227" and mightier|strong="H6099" than thou;
2 And when the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" shall deliver|strong="H5414" them before|strong="H6440" thee; thou shalt smite|strong="H5221" them, and utterly|strong="H2763" destroy|strong="H2763" them; thou shalt make|strong="H3772" no covenant|strong="H1285" with them, nor shew mercy|strong="H2603" unto them:
3 Neither shalt thou make marriages|strong="H2859" with them; thy daughter|strong="H1323" thou shalt not give|strong="H5414" unto his son|strong="H1121", nor his daughter|strong="H1323" shalt thou take|strong="H3947" unto thy son|strong="H1121".
4 For they will turn away|strong="H5493" thy son|strong="H1121" from following|strong="H0310" me, that they may serve|strong="H5647" other|strong="H0312" gods|strong="H0430": so will the anger|strong="H0639" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* be kindled|strong="H2734" against you, and destroy|strong="H8045" thee suddenly|strong="H4118".
5 But thus shall ye deal|strong="H6213" with them; ye shall destroy|strong="H5422" their altars|strong="H4196", and break down|strong="H7665" their images|strong="H4676", and cut down|strong="H1438" their groves|strong="H0842", and burn|strong="H8313" their graven images|strong="H6456" with fire|strong="H0784".
6 For thou art an holy|strong="H6918" people|strong="H5971" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430": the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" hath chosen|strong="H0977" thee to be a special|strong="H5459" people|strong="H5971" unto himself, above all people|strong="H5971" that are upon the face|strong="H6440" of the earth|strong="H0127".
7 The \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* did not set his love|strong="H2836" upon you, nor choose|strong="H0977" you, because ye were more|strong="H7230" in number than any people|strong="H5971"; for ye were the fewest|strong="H4592" of all people|strong="H5971":
8 But because the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* loved|strong="H0160" you, and because he would keep|strong="H8104" the oath|strong="H7621" which he had sworn|strong="H7650" unto your fathers|strong="H0001", hath the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* brought you out|strong="H3318" with a mighty|strong="H2389" hand|strong="H3027", and redeemed|strong="H6299" you out of the house|strong="H1004" of bondmen|strong="H5650", from the hand|strong="H3027" of Pharaoh|strong="H6547" king|strong="H4428" of Egypt|strong="H4714".
9 Know|strong="H3045" therefore that the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430", he is God|strong="H0430", the faithful|strong="H0539" God|strong="H0410", which keepeth|strong="H8104" covenant|strong="H1285" and mercy|strong="H2617" with them that love|strong="H0157" him and keep|strong="H8104" his commandments|strong="H4687" to a thousand|strong="H0505" generations|strong="H1755";
10 And repayeth|strong="H7999" them that hate|strong="H8130" him to their face|strong="H6440", to destroy|strong="H0006" them: he will not be slack|strong="H0309" to him that hateth|strong="H8130" him, he will repay|strong="H7999" him to his face|strong="H6440".
11 Thou shalt therefore keep|strong="H8104" the commandments|strong="H4687", and the statutes|strong="H2706", and the judgments|strong="H4941", which I command|strong="H6680" thee this day|strong="H3117", to do|strong="H6213" them.
12 Wherefore it shall come to pass, if|strong="H6118" ye hearken|strong="H8085" to these judgments|strong="H4941", and keep|strong="H8104", and do|strong="H6213" them, that the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" shall keep|strong="H8104" unto thee the covenant|strong="H1285" and the mercy|strong="H2617" which he sware|strong="H7650" unto thy fathers|strong="H0001":
13 And he will love|strong="H0157" thee, and bless|strong="H1288" thee, and multiply|strong="H7235" thee: he will also bless|strong="H1288" the fruit|strong="H6529" of thy womb|strong="H0990", and the fruit|strong="H6529" of thy land|strong="H0127", thy corn|strong="H1715", and thy wine|strong="H8492", and thine oil|strong="H3323", the increase|strong="H7698" of thy kine|strong="H0504", and the flocks|strong="H6251" of thy sheep|strong="H6629", in the land|strong="H0127" which he sware|strong="H7650" unto thy fathers|strong="H0001" to give|strong="H5414" thee.
14 Thou shalt be blessed|strong="H1288" above all people|strong="H5971": there shall not be male|strong="H6135" or female barren|strong="H6135" among you, or among your cattle|strong="H0929".
15 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* will take away|strong="H5493" from thee all sickness|strong="H2483", and will put|strong="H7760" none of the evil|strong="H7451" diseases|strong="H4064" of Egypt|strong="H4714", which thou knowest|strong="H3045", upon thee; but will lay|strong="H5414" them upon all them that hate|strong="H8130" thee.
16 And thou shalt consume|strong="H0398" all the people|strong="H5971" which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" shall deliver|strong="H5414" thee; thine eye|strong="H5869" shall have no pity|strong="H2347" upon them: neither shalt thou serve|strong="H5647" their gods|strong="H0430"; for that will be a snare|strong="H4170" unto thee.
17 If thou shalt say|strong="H0559" in thine heart|strong="H3824", These nations|strong="H1471" are more|strong="H7227" than I; how|strong="H0349" can|strong="H3201" I dispossess|strong="H3423" them?
18 Thou shalt not be afraid|strong="H3372" of them: but shalt well|strong="H2142" remember|strong="H2142" what the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" did|strong="H6213" unto Pharaoh|strong="H6547", and unto all Egypt|strong="H4714";
19 The great|strong="H1419" temptations|strong="H4531" which thine eyes|strong="H5869" saw|strong="H7200", and the signs|strong="H0226", and the wonders|strong="H4159", and the mighty|strong="H2389" hand|strong="H3027", and the stretched out|strong="H5186" arm|strong="H2220", whereby the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" brought thee out|strong="H3318": so shall the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" do|strong="H6213" unto all the people|strong="H5971" of whom thou art afraid|strong="H3373".
20 Moreover the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" will send|strong="H7971" the hornet|strong="H6880" among them, until they that are left|strong="H7604", and hide|strong="H5641" themselves from|strong="H6440" thee, be destroyed|strong="H0006".
21 Thou shalt not be affrighted|strong="H6206" at|strong="H6440" them: for the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" is among|strong="H7130" you, a mighty|strong="H1419" God|strong="H0410" and terrible|strong="H3372".
22 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" will put out|strong="H5394" those|strong="H0411" nations|strong="H1471" before|strong="H6440" thee by little|strong="H4592" and little|strong="H4592": thou mayest|strong="H3201" not consume|strong="H3615" them at once|strong="H4118", lest the beasts|strong="H2416" of the field|strong="H7704" increase|strong="H7235" upon thee.
23 But the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" shall deliver|strong="H5414" them unto thee|strong="H6440", and shall destroy|strong="H1949" them with a mighty|strong="H1419" destruction|strong="H4103", until they be destroyed|strong="H8045".
24 And he shall deliver|strong="H5414" their kings|strong="H4428" into thine hand|strong="H3027", and thou shalt destroy|strong="H0006" their name|strong="H8034" from under heaven|strong="H8064": there shall no man|strong="H0376" be able to stand|strong="H3320" before|strong="H6440" thee, until thou have destroyed|strong="H8045" them.
25 The graven images|strong="H6456" of their gods|strong="H0430" shall ye burn|strong="H8313" with fire|strong="H0784": thou shalt not desire|strong="H2530" the silver|strong="H3701" or gold|strong="H2091" that is on them, nor take|strong="H3947" it unto thee, lest thou be snared|strong="H3369" therein: for it is an abomination|strong="H8441" to the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430".
26 Neither shalt thou bring|strong="H0935" an abomination|strong="H8441" into thine house|strong="H1004", lest thou be a cursed thing|strong="H2764" like it: but thou shalt utterly|strong="H8262" detest|strong="H8262" it, and thou shalt utterly|strong="H8581" abhor|strong="H8581" it; for it is a cursed thing|strong="H2764".
