2 And|strong="G2532" finding|strong="G2147" a ship|strong="G4143" sailing over|strong="G1276" unto|strong="G1519" Phenicia|strong="G5403", we went aboard|strong="G1910", and set forth|strong="G0321".
3 Now|strong="G1161" when we had discovered|strong="G0398" Cyprus|strong="G2954", we|strong="G2532" left|strong="G2641" it|strong="G0846" on the left hand|strong="G2176", and sailed|strong="G4126" into|strong="G1519" Syria|strong="G4947", and|strong="G2532" landed|strong="G2609" at|strong="G1519" Tyre|strong="G5184": for|strong="G1063" there|strong="G1566" the ship|strong="G4143" was|strong="G2258" to unlade|strong="G0670" her burden|strong="G1117".
4 And|strong="G2532" finding|strong="G0429" disciples|strong="G3588", we tarried|strong="G3101" there|strong="G1961" seven|strong="G2250" days|strong="G0847": who|strong="G2033" said|strong="G3972" to Paul|strong="G3588" through|strong="G3004" the Spirit|strong="G3588", that he should|strong="G3361" not|strong="G4151" go up|strong="G3361" to|strong="G0305" Jerusalem|strong="G1519".
5 And|strong="G1161" when|strong="G3753" we|strong="G2248" had|strong="G1096" accomplished|strong="G1822" those days|strong="G2250", we departed|strong="G1831" and went our way|strong="G4198"; and they all|strong="G3956" brought|strong="G4311" us|strong="G2248" on our way|strong="G4311", with|strong="G4862" wives|strong="G1135" and|strong="G2532" children|strong="G5043", till|strong="G2193" we were out of|strong="G1854" the city|strong="G4172": and|strong="G2532" we kneeled|strong="G5087" down|strong="G1119" on|strong="G1909" the shore|strong="G0123", and prayed|strong="G4336".
6 And|strong="G2532" when we had taken our leave|strong="G0782" one of another|strong="G0240", we took|strong="G1910" ship|strong="G4143"; and|strong="G1161" they|strong="G1565" returned|strong="G5290" home again|strong="G2398".
7 And|strong="G1161" when we|strong="G2249" had finished|strong="G1274" our course|strong="G4144" from|strong="G0575" Tyre|strong="G5184", we came|strong="G2658" to|strong="G1519" Ptolemais|strong="G4424", and|strong="G2532" saluted|strong="G0782" the brethren|strong="G0080", and abode|strong="G3306" with|strong="G3844" them|strong="G0846" one|strong="G1520" day|strong="G2250".
8 And|strong="G1161" the next|strong="G1887" day we that were|strong="G3588" of|strong="G4012" Paul’s company|strong="G3972" departed|strong="G1831", and came|strong="G2064" unto|strong="G1519" Cæsarea|strong="G2542": and|strong="G2532" we entered|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" the house|strong="G3624" of Philip|strong="G5376" the evangelist|strong="G2099", which was|strong="G5607" one of|strong="G1537" the seven|strong="G2033"; and abode|strong="G3306" with|strong="G3844" him|strong="G0846".
9 And|strong="G1161" the same man|strong="G5129" had|strong="G2258" four|strong="G5064" daughters|strong="G2364", virgins|strong="G3933", which did prophesy|strong="G4395".
10 And|strong="G1161" as we|strong="G2257" tarried|strong="G1961" there many|strong="G4119" days|strong="G2250", there came down|strong="G2718" from|strong="G0575" Judæa|strong="G2449" a certain|strong="G5100" prophet|strong="G4396", named|strong="G3686" Agabus|strong="G0013".
11 And|strong="G2532" when he was come|strong="G2064" unto|strong="G4314" us|strong="G2248", he took|strong="G0142" Paul’s|strong="G3972" girdle|strong="G2223", and|strong="G5037" bound|strong="G1210" his own|strong="G0846" hands|strong="G5495" and|strong="G2532" feet|strong="G4228", and said|strong="G2036", Thus|strong="G3592" saith|strong="G3004" the Holy|strong="G0040" Ghost|strong="G4151", So|strong="G3779" shall|strong="G1210" the Jews|strong="G2453" at|strong="G1722" Jerusalem|strong="G2419" bind|strong="G1210" the man|strong="G0435" that|strong="G3739" owneth|strong="G2076" this|strong="G3778" girdle|strong="G2223", and|strong="G2532" shall deliver|strong="G3860" him into|strong="G1519" the hands|strong="G5495" of the Gentiles|strong="G1484".

14 And when|strong="G1161" he|strong="G0846" would|strong="G3982" not|strong="G3361" be persuaded|strong="G3982", we ceased|strong="G2270", saying|strong="G2036", The will|strong="G2307" of the Lord|strong="G2962" be done|strong="G1096".
15 And|strong="G1161" after|strong="G3326" those|strong="G3778" days|strong="G2250" we took up our carriages|strong="G0643", and went up|strong="G0305" to|strong="G1519" Jerusalem|strong="G2419".
16 There|strong="G1161" went|strong="G4905" with|strong="G4862" us|strong="G2254" also|strong="G2532" certain of the disciples|strong="G3101" of|strong="G0575" Cæsarea|strong="G2542", and brought with them|strong="G0071" one|strong="G5100" Mnason|strong="G3416" of Cyprus|strong="G2953", an old|strong="G0744" disciple|strong="G3101", with|strong="G3844" whom|strong="G3739" we should lodge|strong="G3579".
17 And|strong="G1161" when we|strong="G2257" were come|strong="G1096" to|strong="G1519" Jerusalem|strong="G2414", the brethren|strong="G0080" received|strong="G1209" us|strong="G2248" gladly|strong="G0780".
18 And|strong="G1161" the|strong="G3588" day following|strong="G1966" Paul|strong="G3972" went in|strong="G1524" with|strong="G4862" us|strong="G2254" unto|strong="G4314" James|strong="G2385"; and|strong="G5037" all|strong="G3956" the elders|strong="G4245" were present|strong="G3854".
19 And|strong="G2532" when he had saluted|strong="G0782" them|strong="G0846", he declared|strong="G1834" particularly|strong="G1538" what things|strong="G3739" God|strong="G2316" had wrought|strong="G4160" among|strong="G1722" the Gentiles|strong="G1484" by|strong="G1223" his|strong="G0846" ministry|strong="G1248".
20 And|strong="G1161" when they heard|strong="G0191" it, they glorified|strong="G1392" the Lord|strong="G2962", and|strong="G5037" said|strong="G2036" unto him|strong="G0846", Thou seest|strong="G2334", brother|strong="G0080", how many|strong="G4214" thousands|strong="G3461" of Jews|strong="G2453" there are|strong="G1526" which|strong="G3588" believe|strong="G4100"; and|strong="G2532" they are|strong="G5225" all|strong="G3956" zealous|strong="G2207" of the law|strong="G3551":
21 And|strong="G1161" they are informed|strong="G2727" of|strong="G4012" thee|strong="G4675", that|strong="G3754" thou teachest|strong="G1321" all|strong="G3956" the Jews|strong="G2453" which|strong="G3588" are among|strong="G2596" the Gentiles|strong="G1484" to forsake|strong="G0646" Moses|strong="G3475", saying that|strong="G3004" they|strong="G0846" ought|strong="G4059" not|strong="G3361" to circumcise|strong="G4059" their children|strong="G5043", neither|strong="G3366" to walk after|strong="G4043" the customs|strong="G1485".
22 What|strong="G5101" is it|strong="G2076" therefore|strong="G3767"? the multitude|strong="G4128" must|strong="G1163" needs|strong="G3843" come together|strong="G4905": for|strong="G1063" they will hear|strong="G0191" that|strong="G3754" thou art come|strong="G2064".
23 Do|strong="G4160" therefore|strong="G3767" this|strong="G5124" that we say|strong="G3004" to thee|strong="G4671": We|strong="G2254" have|strong="G1526" four|strong="G5064" men|strong="G0435" which|strong="G3739" have|strong="G2192" a vow|strong="G2171" on|strong="G1909" them|strong="G1438";
24 Them|strong="G5128" take|strong="G3880", and purify thyself|strong="G0048" with|strong="G4862" them|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" be at charges|strong="G1159" with|strong="G1909" them|strong="G0846", that|strong="G2443" they may shave|strong="G3587" their heads|strong="G2776": and|strong="G2532" all|strong="G3956" may know|strong="G1097" that|strong="G3754" those things|strong="G3739", whereof they were informed|strong="G2727" concerning|strong="G4012" thee|strong="G4675", are|strong="G2076" nothing|strong="G3762"; but|strong="G0235" that thou thyself|strong="G0846" also|strong="G2532" walkest orderly|strong="G4748", and keepest|strong="G5442" the law|strong="G3551".
25 As|strong="G1161" touching|strong="G4012" the Gentiles|strong="G1484" which|strong="G3588" believe|strong="G4100", we|strong="G2249" have written|strong="G1989" and concluded that|strong="G2919" they|strong="G0846" observe|strong="G5083" no|strong="G3367" such thing|strong="G5108", save|strong="G1487" only that|strong="G3361" they keep|strong="G5442" themselves|strong="G0846" from|strong="G5037" things offered to idols|strong="G1494", and|strong="G2532" from blood|strong="G0129", and|strong="G2532" from strangled|strong="G4156", and|strong="G2532" from fornication|strong="G4202".
26 Then|strong="G5119" Paul|strong="G3972" took|strong="G3880" the men|strong="G0435", and the next|strong="G2192" day|strong="G2250" purifying himself|strong="G0048" with|strong="G4862" them|strong="G0846" entered|strong="G1524" into|strong="G1519" the temple|strong="G2411", to signify|strong="G1229" the accomplishment|strong="G1604" of the days|strong="G2250" of purification|strong="G0049", until|strong="G2193" that|strong="G3739" an offering should be|strong="G4374" offered|strong="G4376" for|strong="G5228" every|strong="G1538" one|strong="G1520" of them|strong="G0846".
27 And|strong="G1161" when|strong="G5613" the seven|strong="G2033" days|strong="G2250" were almost|strong="G3195" ended|strong="G4931", the Jews|strong="G2453" which were|strong="G3588" of|strong="G0575" Asia|strong="G0773", when they saw|strong="G2300" him|strong="G0846" in|strong="G1722" the temple|strong="G2411", stirred up|strong="G4797" all|strong="G3956" the people|strong="G3793", and|strong="G2532" laid|strong="G1911" hands|strong="G5495" on|strong="G1909" him|strong="G0846",
28 Crying out|strong="G2896", Men|strong="G0435" of Israel|strong="G2475", help|strong="G0997": This|strong="G3778" is|strong="G2076" the man|strong="G0444", that teacheth|strong="G1321" all|strong="G3956" men every where|strong="G3837" against|strong="G2596" the people|strong="G2992", and|strong="G2532" the law|strong="G3551", and|strong="G2532" this|strong="G5127" place|strong="G5117": and|strong="G5037" further|strong="G2089" brought|strong="G1521" Greeks|strong="G1672" also|strong="G2532" into|strong="G1519" the temple|strong="G2411", and|strong="G2532" hath polluted|strong="G2840" this|strong="G5126" holy|strong="G0040" place|strong="G5117".
29 (For|strong="G1063" they had|strong="G2258" seen before|strong="G4308" with|strong="G4862" him|strong="G0846" in|strong="G1722" the city|strong="G4172" Trophimus|strong="G5161" an Ephesian|strong="G2180", whom|strong="G3739" they supposed|strong="G3543" that|strong="G3754" Paul|strong="G3972" had brought|strong="G1521" into|strong="G1519" the temple|strong="G2411".)
30 And|strong="G5037" all|strong="G3650" the city|strong="G4172" was|strong="G1096" moved|strong="G2795", and|strong="G2532" the people|strong="G2992" ran together|strong="G4890": and|strong="G2532" they took|strong="G1949" Paul|strong="G3972", and drew|strong="G1670" him|strong="G0846" out of|strong="G1854" the temple|strong="G2411": and|strong="G2532" forthwith|strong="G2112" the doors|strong="G2374" were shut|strong="G2808".
31 And|strong="G1161" as they went about|strong="G2212" to kill|strong="G0615" him|strong="G0846", tidings|strong="G5334" came unto|strong="G0305" the chief captain|strong="G5506" of the band|strong="G4686", that|strong="G3754" all|strong="G3650" Jerusalem|strong="G2419" was in an uproar|strong="G4797".
32 Who|strong="G3739" immediately|strong="G1824" took|strong="G3880" soldiers|strong="G4757" and|strong="G2532" centurions|strong="G1543", and ran down|strong="G2701" unto|strong="G1909" them|strong="G0846": and|strong="G1161" when they saw|strong="G1492" the chief captain|strong="G5506" and|strong="G2532" the soldiers|strong="G4757", they left|strong="G3973" beating|strong="G5180" of Paul|strong="G3972".
33 Then|strong="G5119" the chief captain|strong="G5506" came near|strong="G1448", and took|strong="G1949" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" commanded|strong="G2753" him to be bound|strong="G1210" with two|strong="G1417" chains|strong="G0254"; and|strong="G2532" demanded|strong="G4441" who|strong="G5101" he was|strong="G1498", and|strong="G2532" what|strong="G5101" he had|strong="G2076" done|strong="G4160".
34 And|strong="G1161" some|strong="G0243" cried|strong="G0994" one thing|strong="G5100", some another|strong="G0243", among|strong="G1722" the multitude|strong="G3793": and|strong="G1161" when he could|strong="G1410" not|strong="G3361" know|strong="G1097" the certainty|strong="G0804" for|strong="G1223" the tumult|strong="G2351", he commanded|strong="G2753" him|strong="G0846" to be carried|strong="G0071" into|strong="G1519" the castle|strong="G3925".
35 And|strong="G1161" when|strong="G3753" he|strong="G0846" came|strong="G1096" upon|strong="G1909" the stairs|strong="G0304", so it was|strong="G4819", that he was borne|strong="G0941" of|strong="G5259" the soldiers|strong="G4757" for|strong="G1223" the violence|strong="G0970" of the people|strong="G3793".
36 For|strong="G1063" the multitude|strong="G4128" of the people|strong="G2992" followed after|strong="G0190", crying|strong="G2896", Away with|strong="G0142" him|strong="G0846".
37 And|strong="G5037" as Paul|strong="G3972" was|strong="G3195" to be led|strong="G1521" into|strong="G1519" the castle|strong="G3925", he said|strong="G3004" unto the chief captain|strong="G5506", May|strong="G1832" I|strong="G3427" speak|strong="G2036" unto|strong="G4314" thee|strong="G4571"? Who|strong="G5100" said|strong="G5346", Canst thou speak|strong="G1097" Greek|strong="G1676"?
38 Art|strong="G1488" not|strong="G3756" thou|strong="G4771" that|strong="G3588" Egyptian|strong="G0124", which|strong="G3588" before|strong="G4253" these|strong="G5130" days|strong="G2250" madest an uproar|strong="G0387", and|strong="G2532" leddest out|strong="G1806" into|strong="G1519" the wilderness|strong="G2048" four thousand|strong="G5070" men|strong="G0435" that were murderers|strong="G4607"?
39 But|strong="G1161" Paul|strong="G3972" said|strong="G2036", I|strong="G1473" am|strong="G1510" a man|strong="G0444" which am a Jew|strong="G2453" of Tarsus|strong="G5018", a city in Cilicia|strong="G2791", a citizen|strong="G4177" of|strong="G0767" no|strong="G3756" mean|strong="G0767" city|strong="G4172": and|strong="G1161", I beseech|strong="G1189" thee|strong="G4675", suffer|strong="G2010" me|strong="G3427" to speak|strong="G2980" unto|strong="G4314" the people|strong="G2992".
