8 But|strong="G1161" Elymas|strong="G1681" the sorcerer|strong="G3097" (for|strong="G1063" so|strong="G3779" is|strong="G3177" his|strong="G0846" name|strong="G3686" by interpretation|strong="G3177") withstood|strong="G0436" them|strong="G0846", seeking|strong="G2212" to turn away|strong="G1294" the deputy|strong="G0446" from|strong="G0575" the faith|strong="G4102".
9 Then|strong="G1161" Saul|strong="G4569", (who|strong="G3588" also|strong="G2532" is called Paul|strong="G3972",) filled with|strong="G4130" the Holy|strong="G0040" Ghost|strong="G4151", set his eyes|strong="G0816" on|strong="G1519" him|strong="G0846",

13 Now when|strong="G1161" Paul|strong="G3972" and his company|strong="G4012" loosed|strong="G0321" from|strong="G0575" Paphos|strong="G3974", they came|strong="G2064" to|strong="G1519" Perga|strong="G4011" in Pamphylia|strong="G3828": and|strong="G1161" John|strong="G2491" departing|strong="G0672" from|strong="G0575" them|strong="G0846" returned|strong="G5290" to|strong="G1519" Jerusalem|strong="G2414".
14 But when|strong="G1161" they|strong="G0846" departed|strong="G1330" from|strong="G0575" Perga|strong="G4011", they came|strong="G3854" to|strong="G1519" Antioch|strong="G0490" in Pisidia|strong="G4099", and|strong="G2532" went|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" the synagogue|strong="G4864" on the sabbath|strong="G4521" day|strong="G2250", and sat down|strong="G2523".

17 The God|strong="G2316" of this|strong="G5127" people|strong="G2992" of Israel|strong="G2474" chose|strong="G1586" our|strong="G2257" fathers|strong="G3962", and|strong="G2532" exalted|strong="G5312" the people|strong="G2992" when|strong="G1722" they dwelt as strangers|strong="G3940" in|strong="G1722" the land|strong="G1093" of Egypt|strong="G0125", and|strong="G2532" with|strong="G3326" an high|strong="G5308" arm|strong="G1023" brought he|strong="G1806" them|strong="G0846" out|strong="G1537" of it|strong="G0846".

19 And|strong="G2532" when he had destroyed|strong="G2507" seven|strong="G2033" nations|strong="G1484" in|strong="G1722" the land|strong="G1093" of Chanaan|strong="G5477", he divided|strong="G2624" their|strong="G0846" land|strong="G1093" to them|strong="G0846" by lot|strong="G2624".
20 And|strong="G2532" after|strong="G3326" that|strong="G5023" he gave|strong="G1325" unto them judges|strong="G2923" about the space of|strong="G5613" four hundred|strong="G5071" and|strong="G2532" fifty|strong="G4004" years|strong="G2094", until|strong="G2193" Samuel|strong="G4545" the prophet|strong="G4396".
21 And afterward|strong="G2547" they desired|strong="G0154" a king|strong="G0935": and|strong="G2532" God|strong="G2316" gave|strong="G1325" unto them|strong="G0846" Saul|strong="G4549" the son|strong="G5207" of Cis|strong="G2797", a man|strong="G0435" of|strong="G1537" the tribe|strong="G5443" of Benjamin|strong="G0958", by the space of forty|strong="G5062" years|strong="G2094".

23 Of|strong="G0575" this man’s|strong="G5127" seed|strong="G4690" hath|strong="G1453" God|strong="G2316" according to|strong="G2596" his promise|strong="G1860" raised|strong="G1453" unto Israel|strong="G2474" a Saviour|strong="G4990", Jesus|strong="G2424":
24 When|strong="G4296" John|strong="G2491" had first preached|strong="G4296" before|strong="G4253" his|strong="G0846" coming|strong="G1529" the baptism|strong="G0908" of repentance|strong="G3341" to all|strong="G3956" the people|strong="G2992" of Israel|strong="G2474".

27 For|strong="G1063" they that dwell|strong="G2730" at|strong="G1722" Jerusalem|strong="G2419", and|strong="G2532" their|strong="G0846" rulers|strong="G0758", because they knew|strong="G0050" him|strong="G5126" not|strong="G0050", nor yet|strong="G2532" the voices|strong="G5456" of the prophets|strong="G4396" which|strong="G3588" are read|strong="G0314" every|strong="G3956" sabbath day|strong="G4521", they have fulfilled|strong="G4137" them in condemning|strong="G2919" him.
28 And|strong="G2532" though they found|strong="G2147" no|strong="G3367" cause|strong="G0156" of death|strong="G2288" in him, yet desired they|strong="G0154" Pilate|strong="G4091" that he|strong="G0846" should be slain|strong="G0337".
29 And|strong="G1161" when|strong="G5613" they had fulfilled|strong="G5055" all|strong="G0537" that was written|strong="G1125" of|strong="G4012" him|strong="G0846", they took|strong="G2507" him down|strong="G2507" from|strong="G0575" the tree|strong="G3586", and laid|strong="G5087" him in|strong="G1519" a sepulchre|strong="G3419".
30 But|strong="G1161" God|strong="G2316" raised|strong="G1453" him|strong="G0846" from|strong="G1537" the dead|strong="G3498":
31 And|strong="G3739" he was seen|strong="G3700" many|strong="G4119" days|strong="G2250" of them which came up with|strong="G4872" him|strong="G0846" from|strong="G0575" Galilee|strong="G1056" to|strong="G1519" Jerusalem|strong="G2419", who|strong="G3748" are|strong="G1526" his|strong="G0846" witnesses|strong="G3144" unto|strong="G4314" the people|strong="G2992".

35 Wherefore|strong="G1352" he saith|strong="G3004" also|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" another|strong="G2087" psalm, Thou shalt|strong="G1325" not|strong="G3756" suffer|strong="G1325" thine|strong="G4675" Holy One|strong="G3741" to see|strong="G1492" corruption|strong="G1312".
36 For|strong="G1063" David|strong="G1138", after he had served|strong="G5256" his own|strong="G2398" generation|strong="G1074" by the will|strong="G1012" of God|strong="G2316", fell on sleep|strong="G2837", and|strong="G2532" was laid|strong="G4369" unto|strong="G4314" his|strong="G0846" fathers|strong="G3962", and|strong="G2532" saw|strong="G1492" corruption|strong="G1312":
37 But|strong="G1161" he, whom|strong="G3739" God|strong="G2316" raised again|strong="G1453", saw|strong="G1492" no|strong="G3756" corruption|strong="G1312".
38 Be it|strong="G2077" known|strong="G1110" unto you|strong="G5213" therefore|strong="G3767", men|strong="G0435" and brethren|strong="G0080", that|strong="G3754" through|strong="G1223" this man|strong="G5127" is preached|strong="G2605" unto you|strong="G5213" the forgiveness|strong="G0859" of sins|strong="G0266":
39 And|strong="G2532" by|strong="G1722" him|strong="G5129" all|strong="G3956" that believe|strong="G4100" are justified|strong="G1344" from|strong="G0575" all things|strong="G3956", from which|strong="G3739" ye could|strong="G1410" not|strong="G3756" be justified|strong="G1344" by|strong="G1722" the law|strong="G3551" of Moses|strong="G3475".

41 Behold|strong="G1492", ye despisers|strong="G2707", and|strong="G2532" wonder|strong="G2296", and|strong="G2532" perish|strong="G0853": for|strong="G3754" I|strong="G1473" work|strong="G2038" a work|strong="G2041" in|strong="G1722" your|strong="G5216" days|strong="G2250", a work|strong="G2041" which|strong="G3739" ye shall|strong="G4100" in no wise|strong="G3756" believe|strong="G4100", though|strong="G1437" a man|strong="G5100" declare it|strong="G1555" unto you|strong="G5213".
42 And|strong="G1161" when|strong="G1826" the Jews|strong="G2453" were gone|strong="G1826" out of|strong="G1537" the synagogue|strong="G4864", the Gentiles|strong="G1484" besought|strong="G3870" that these|strong="G5023" words|strong="G4487" might be preached|strong="G2980" to them|strong="G0846" the next|strong="G3342" sabbath|strong="G4521".

47 For|strong="G1063" so|strong="G3779" hath|strong="G1781" the Lord|strong="G2962" commanded|strong="G1781" us|strong="G2254", saying, I have set|strong="G5087" thee|strong="G4571" to be|strong="G1519" a light|strong="G5457" of the Gentiles|strong="G1484", that thou|strong="G4571" shouldest be|strong="G1511" for|strong="G1519" salvation|strong="G4991" unto|strong="G2193" the ends|strong="G2078" of the earth|strong="G1093".

50 But|strong="G1161" the Jews|strong="G2453" stirred up|strong="G3951" the devout|strong="G4576" and|strong="G2532" honourable|strong="G2158" women|strong="G1135", and|strong="G2532" the chief men|strong="G4413" of the city|strong="G4172", and|strong="G2532" raised|strong="G1892" persecution|strong="G1375" against|strong="G1909" Paul|strong="G3972" and|strong="G2532" Barnabas|strong="G0921", and|strong="G2532" expelled|strong="G1544" them|strong="G0846" out of|strong="G0575" their|strong="G0846" coasts|strong="G3725".
51 But|strong="G1161" they shook off|strong="G1621" the dust|strong="G2868" of their|strong="G0846" feet|strong="G4228" against|strong="G1909" them|strong="G0846", and came|strong="G2064" unto|strong="G1519" Iconium|strong="G2430".
