1 And|strong="G2532" the fifth|strong="G3991" angel|strong="G0032" sounded|strong="G4537", and|strong="G2532" I saw|strong="G1492" a star|strong="G0792" fall|strong="G4098" from|strong="G1537" heaven|strong="G3772" unto|strong="G1519" the earth|strong="G1093": and|strong="G2532" to him|strong="G0846" was given|strong="G1325" the key|strong="G2807" of the bottomless|strong="G0012" pit|strong="G5421".
2 And|strong="G2532" he opened|strong="G0455" the bottomless|strong="G0012" pit|strong="G5421"; and|strong="G2532" there arose|strong="G0305" a smoke|strong="G2586" out|strong="G1537" of the pit|strong="G5421", as|strong="G5613" the smoke|strong="G2586" of a great|strong="G3173" furnace|strong="G2575"; and|strong="G2532" the sun|strong="G2246" and|strong="G2532" the air|strong="G0109" were darkened|strong="G4654" by reason|strong="G1537" of the smoke|strong="G2586" of the pit|strong="G5421".
3 And|strong="G2532" there came|strong="G1831" out|strong="G1537" of the smoke|strong="G2586" locusts|strong="G0200" upon|strong="G1519" the earth|strong="G1093": and|strong="G2532" unto them|strong="G0846" was given|strong="G1325" power|strong="G1849", as|strong="G5613" the scorpions|strong="G4651" of the earth|strong="G1093" have|strong="G2192" power|strong="G1849".
4 And|strong="G2532" it was commanded|strong="G4483" them|strong="G0846" that|strong="G2443" they should|strong="G0091" not|strong="G3361" hurt|strong="G0091" the grass|strong="G5528" of the earth|strong="G1093", neither|strong="G3761" any|strong="G3956" green thing|strong="G5515", neither|strong="G3761" any|strong="G3956" tree|strong="G1186"; but|strong="G1487" only|strong="G3441" those|strong="G3748" men|strong="G0444" which have|strong="G2192" not|strong="G3756" the seal|strong="G4973" of God|strong="G2316" in|strong="G1909" their|strong="G0846" foreheads|strong="G3359".
5 And|strong="G2532" to them|strong="G0846" it was given|strong="G1325" that|strong="G2443" they should|strong="G0615" not|strong="G3361" kill|strong="G0615" them|strong="G0846", but|strong="G0235" that|strong="G2443" they should be tormented|strong="G0928" five|strong="G4002" months|strong="G3376": and|strong="G2532" their|strong="G0846" torment|strong="G0929" was as|strong="G5613" the torment|strong="G0929" of a scorpion|strong="G4651", when|strong="G3752" he striketh|strong="G3817" a man|strong="G0444".
6 And|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" those|strong="G1565" days|strong="G2250" shall|strong="G2212" men|strong="G0444" seek|strong="G2212" death|strong="G2288", and|strong="G2532" shall|strong="G2147" not|strong="G3756" find|strong="G2147" it|strong="G0846"; and|strong="G2532" shall desire|strong="G1937" to die|strong="G0599", and|strong="G2532" death|strong="G2288" shall flee|strong="G5343" from|strong="G0575" them|strong="G0846".
7 And|strong="G2532" the shapes|strong="G3667" of the locusts|strong="G0200" were like unto|strong="G3664" horses|strong="G2462" prepared|strong="G2090" unto|strong="G1519" battle|strong="G4171"; and|strong="G2532" on|strong="G1909" their|strong="G0846" heads|strong="G2776" were as it were|strong="G5613" crowns|strong="G4735" like|strong="G3664" gold|strong="G5557", and|strong="G2532" their|strong="G0846" faces|strong="G4383" were as|strong="G5613" the faces|strong="G4383" of men|strong="G0444".
8 And|strong="G2532" they had|strong="G2192" hair|strong="G2359" as|strong="G5613" the hair|strong="G2359" of women|strong="G1135", and|strong="G2532" their|strong="G0846" teeth|strong="G3599" were|strong="G2258" as|strong="G5613" the teeth of lions|strong="G3023".
9 And|strong="G2532" they had|strong="G2192" breastplates|strong="G2382", as it were|strong="G5613" breastplates|strong="G2382" of iron|strong="G4603"; and|strong="G2532" the sound|strong="G5456" of their|strong="G0846" wings|strong="G4420" was as|strong="G5613" the sound|strong="G5456" of chariots|strong="G0716" of many|strong="G4183" horses|strong="G2462" running|strong="G5143" to|strong="G1519" battle|strong="G4171".
10 And|strong="G2532" they had|strong="G2192" tails|strong="G3769" like unto|strong="G3664" scorpions|strong="G4651", and|strong="G2532" there were|strong="G2258" stings|strong="G2759" in|strong="G1722" their|strong="G0846" tails|strong="G3769": and|strong="G2532" their|strong="G0846" power|strong="G1849" \+w was|strong="G0091"\+w* to hurt|strong="G0091" men|strong="G0444" five|strong="G4002" months|strong="G3376".
11 And|strong="G2532" they had|strong="G2192" a king|strong="G0935" over|strong="G1909" them|strong="G0846", which is the angel|strong="G0032" of the bottomless pit|strong="G0012", whose name|strong="G3686" in the Hebrew tongue|strong="G1447" is Abaddon|strong="G0003", but|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" the Greek tongue|strong="G1673" hath|strong="G2192" \+w his|strong="G0846"\+w* name|strong="G3686" Apollyon|strong="G0623".
12 One|strong="G1520" woe|strong="G3759" is past|strong="G0565"; and, behold|strong="G2400", there come|strong="G2064" two|strong="G1417" woes|strong="G3759" more|strong="G2089" hereafter|strong="G3326".
13 And|strong="G2532" the sixth|strong="G1623" angel|strong="G0032" sounded|strong="G4537", and|strong="G2532" I heard|strong="G0191" a|strong="G1520" voice|strong="G5456" from|strong="G1537" the four|strong="G5064" horns|strong="G2768" of the golden|strong="G5552" altar|strong="G2379" which is before|strong="G1799" God|strong="G2316",
14 Saying|strong="G3004" to the sixth|strong="G1623" angel|strong="G0032" which|strong="G3739" had|strong="G2192" the trumpet|strong="G4536", Loose|strong="G3089" the four|strong="G5064" angels|strong="G0032" which|strong="G3588" are bound|strong="G1210" in|strong="G1909" the great|strong="G3173" river|strong="G4215" Euphrates|strong="G2166".
15 And|strong="G2532" the four|strong="G5064" angels|strong="G0032" were loosed|strong="G3089", which|strong="G3588" were prepared|strong="G2090" for|strong="G1519" an hour|strong="G5610", and|strong="G2532" a day|strong="G2250", and|strong="G2532" a month|strong="G3376", and|strong="G2532" a year|strong="G1763", for to|strong="G2443" slay|strong="G0615" the third part|strong="G5154" of men|strong="G0444".
16 And|strong="G2532" the number|strong="G0706" of the army|strong="G4753" of the horsemen|strong="G2461" were two|strong="G1417" hundred thousand|strong="G3461" thousand|strong="G3461": and|strong="G2532" I heard|strong="G0191" the number|strong="G0706" of them|strong="G0846".
17 And|strong="G2532" thus|strong="G3779" I saw|strong="G1492" the horses|strong="G2462" in|strong="G1722" the vision|strong="G3706", and|strong="G2532" them|strong="G3588" that sat|strong="G2521" on|strong="G1909" them|strong="G0846", having|strong="G2192" breastplates|strong="G2382" of fire|strong="G4447", and|strong="G2532" of jacinth|strong="G5191", and|strong="G2532" brimstone|strong="G2306": and|strong="G2532" the heads|strong="G2776" of the horses|strong="G2462" were as|strong="G5613" the heads|strong="G2776" of lions|strong="G3023"; and|strong="G2532" out|strong="G1537" of their|strong="G0846" mouths|strong="G4750" issued|strong="G1607" fire|strong="G4442" and|strong="G2532" smoke|strong="G2586" and|strong="G2532" brimstone|strong="G2303".
18 By|strong="G5259" these|strong="G5130" three|strong="G5140" was the third part|strong="G5154" of men|strong="G0444" killed|strong="G0615", by|strong="G1537" the fire|strong="G4442", and|strong="G2532" by|strong="G1537" the smoke|strong="G2586", and|strong="G2532" by|strong="G1537" the brimstone|strong="G2303", which|strong="G3588" issued|strong="G1607" out|strong="G1537" of their|strong="G0846" mouths|strong="G4750".
19 For|strong="G1063" their|strong="G0846" power|strong="G1849" is|strong="G2076" in|strong="G1722" their|strong="G0846" mouth|strong="G4750", and|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" their|strong="G0846" tails|strong="G3769": for|strong="G1063" their|strong="G0846" tails|strong="G3769" were like unto|strong="G3664" serpents|strong="G3789", and had|strong="G2192" heads|strong="G2776", and|strong="G2532" with|strong="G1722" them|strong="G0846" they do hurt|strong="G0091".
20 And|strong="G2532" the rest|strong="G3062" of the men|strong="G0444" which|strong="G3739" were|strong="G0615" not|strong="G3756" killed|strong="G0615" by|strong="G1722" these|strong="G3778" plagues|strong="G4127" yet repented|strong="G3340" not|strong="G3756" of|strong="G1537" the works|strong="G2041" of their|strong="G0846" hands|strong="G5495", that|strong="G2443" they should|strong="G4352" not|strong="G3361" worship|strong="G4352" devils|strong="G1140", and|strong="G2532" idols|strong="G1497" of gold|strong="G5552", and|strong="G2532" silver|strong="G0693", and|strong="G2532" brass|strong="G5470", and|strong="G2532" stone|strong="G3035", and|strong="G2532" of wood|strong="G3585": which|strong="G3739" neither|strong="G3777" can|strong="G1410" see|strong="G0991", nor|strong="G3777" hear|strong="G0191", nor|strong="G3777" walk|strong="G4043":
21 Neither|strong="G3756" repented they|strong="G3340" of|strong="G1537" their|strong="G0846" murders|strong="G5408", nor|strong="G3777" of|strong="G1537" their|strong="G0846" sorceries|strong="G5331", nor|strong="G3777" of|strong="G1537" their|strong="G0846" fornication|strong="G4202", nor|strong="G3777" of|strong="G1537" their|strong="G0846" thefts|strong="G2809".
