1 Thus hath the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w* shewed|strong="H7200" unto me: and behold a basket|strong="H3619" of summer fruit|strong="H7019".
1 O Senhor Jeová assim me fez ver: e eis aqui um cesto de frutos do verão.
2 And he said|strong="H0559", Amos|strong="H5986", what seest|strong="H7200" thou? And I said|strong="H0559", A basket|strong="H3619" of summer fruit|strong="H7019". Then said|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* unto me, The end|strong="H7093" is come|strong="H0935" upon my people|strong="H5971" of Israel|strong="H3478"; I will not again|strong="H3254" pass|strong="H5674" by them any more.
2 E disse: Que vês, Amós? E eu disse: Um cesto de frutos do verão. Então, o Senhor me disse: Chegou o fim sobre o meu povo Israel; daqui por diante nunca mais passarei por ele.
3 And the songs|strong="H7892" of the temple|strong="H1964" shall be howlings|strong="H3213" in that day|strong="H3117", saith|strong="H5002" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*: there shall be many|strong="H7227" dead bodies|strong="H6297" in every place|strong="H4725"; they shall cast them forth|strong="H7993" with silence|strong="H2013".
3 Mas os cânticos do templo serão ouvidos naquele dia, diz o Senhor Jeová ; multiplicar-se-ão os cadáveres; em todos os lugares serão lançados fora em silêncio.
4 Hear|strong="H8085" this, O ye that swallow up|strong="H7602" the needy|strong="H0034", even to make|strong="H7673" the poor|strong="H6041" of the land|strong="H0776" to fail|strong="H7673",
4 Ouvi isto, vós que anelais o abatimento do necessitado e destruís os miseráveis da terra,
5 Saying|strong="H0559", When will the new moon|strong="H2320" be gone|strong="H5674", that we may sell|strong="H7666" corn|strong="H7668"? and the sabbath|strong="H7676", that we may set forth|strong="H6605" wheat|strong="H1250", making the ephah|strong="H0374" small|strong="H6994", and the shekel|strong="H8255" great|strong="H1431", and falsifying|strong="H5791" the balances|strong="H3976" by deceit|strong="H4820"?
5 dizendo: Quando passará a lua nova, para vendermos o grão? E o sábado, para abrirmos os celeiros de trigo, diminuindo o efa, e aumentando o siclo, e procedendo dolosamente com balanças enganadoras,
6 That we may buy|strong="H7069" the poor|strong="H1800" for silver|strong="H3701", and the needy|strong="H0034" for a pair of shoes|strong="H5275"; yea, and sell|strong="H7666" the refuse|strong="H4651" of the wheat|strong="H1250"?
6 para comprarmos os pobres por dinheiro e os necessitados por um par de sapatos? E, depois, venderemos as cascas do trigo.
7 The \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath sworn|strong="H7650" by the excellency|strong="H1347" of Jacob|strong="H3290", Surely I will never|strong="H5331" forget|strong="H7911" any of their works|strong="H4639".
7 Jurou o Senhor pela glória de Jacó: Eu não me esquecerei de todas as suas obras para sempre!
8 Shall not the land|strong="H0776" tremble|strong="H7264" for this, and every one mourn|strong="H0056" that dwelleth|strong="H3427" therein? and it shall rise up|strong="H5927" wholly as a flood|strong="H2975"; and it shall be cast out|strong="H1644" and drowned|strong="H8257", as by the flood|strong="H0216" of Egypt|strong="H4714".
8 Por causa disso, não se comoverá a terra? E não chorará todo aquele que habita nela? Certamente, levantar-se-á toda como o grande rio, e será arrojada, e se submergirá como o rio do Egito.
9 And it shall come to pass in that day|strong="H3117", saith|strong="H5002" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*, that I will cause the sun|strong="H8121" to go down|strong="H0935" at noon|strong="H6672", and I will darken|strong="H2821" the earth|strong="H0776" in the clear|strong="H0216" day|strong="H3117":
9 E sucederá que, naquele dia, diz o Senhor , farei que o sol se ponha ao meio-dia e a terra se entenebreça em dia de luz.
10 And I will turn|strong="H2015" your feasts|strong="H2282" into mourning|strong="H0060", and all your songs|strong="H7892" into lamentation|strong="H7015"; and I will bring up|strong="H5927" sackcloth|strong="H8242" upon all loins|strong="H4975", and baldness|strong="H7144" upon every head|strong="H7218"; and I will make|strong="H7760" it as the mourning|strong="H0060" of an only|strong="H3173" son, and the end|strong="H0319" thereof as a bitter|strong="H4751" day|strong="H3117".
10 E tornarei as vossas festas em luto e todos os vossos cânticos em lamentações, e aparecerá pano de saco sobre todos os lombos e calva sobre toda cabeça; e farei que isso seja como luto de filho único e o seu fim como dia de amarguras.
11 Behold, the days|strong="H3117" come|strong="H0935", saith|strong="H5002" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*, that I will send|strong="H7971" a famine|strong="H7458" in the land|strong="H0776", not a famine|strong="H7458" of bread|strong="H3899", nor a thirst|strong="H6772" for water|strong="H4325", but of hearing|strong="H8085" the words|strong="H1697" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*:
11 Eis que vêm dias, diz o Senhor Jeová , em que enviarei fome sobre a terra, não fome de pão, nem sede de água, mas de ouvir as palavras do Senhor .
12 And they shall wander|strong="H5128" from sea|strong="H3220" to sea|strong="H3220", and from the north|strong="H6828" even to the east|strong="H4217", they shall run to and fro|strong="H7751" to seek|strong="H1245" the word|strong="H1697" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and shall not find|strong="H4672" it.
12 E irão errantes de um mar até outro mar e do Norte até ao Oriente; correrão por toda parte, buscando a palavra do Senhor , e não a acharão.
13 In that day|strong="H3117" shall the fair|strong="H3303" virgins|strong="H1330" and young men|strong="H0970" faint|strong="H5968" for thirst|strong="H6772".
13 Naquele dia, as virgens formosas e os jovens desmaiarão de sede.
14 They that swear|strong="H7650" by the sin|strong="H0819" of Samaria|strong="H8111", and say|strong="H0559", Thy god|strong="H0430", O Dan|strong="H1835", liveth|strong="H2416"; and, The manner|strong="H1870" of Beer-sheba|strong="H0884" liveth|strong="H2416"; even they shall fall|strong="H5307", and never rise up|strong="H6965" again.
14 Os que juram pelo delito de Samaria, dizendo: Como é certo viver o teu deus, ó Dã; e: Como é certo viver o caminho de Berseba; esses mesmos cairão e não se levantarão mais.
