1 In the three|strong="H7969" and twentieth|strong="H6242" year|strong="H8141" of Joash|strong="H3101" the son|strong="H1121" of Ahaziah|strong="H0274" king|strong="H4428" of Judah|strong="H3063" Jehoahaz|strong="H3059" the son|strong="H1121" of Jehu|strong="H3058" began to reign|strong="H4427" over Israel|strong="H3478" in Samaria|strong="H8111", and reigned seventeen|strong="H7651" years|strong="H8141".
1 No vigésimo terceiro ano de Joás, o filho de Acazias, rei de Judá, Jeoacaz, o filho de Jeú, começou a reinar sobre Israel em Samaria, e reinou por dezessete anos.
2 And he did|strong="H6213" that which was evil|strong="H7451" in the sight|strong="H5869" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and followed|strong="H3212" the sins|strong="H2403" of Jeroboam|strong="H3379" the son|strong="H1121" of Nebat|strong="H5028", which made Israel|strong="H3478" to sin|strong="H2398"; he departed|strong="H5493" not therefrom.
2 E ele fez aquilo que era mau à vista do SENHOR, e seguiu os pecados de Jeroboão, o filho de Nebate, o qual fez Israel pecar; disso ele não se afastou.
3 And the anger|strong="H0639" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* was kindled|strong="H2734" against Israel|strong="H3478", and he delivered|strong="H5414" them into the hand|strong="H3027" of Hazael|strong="H2371" king|strong="H4428" of Syria|strong="H0758", and into the hand|strong="H3027" of Ben-hadad|strong="H1130" the son|strong="H1121" of Hazael|strong="H2371", all their days|strong="H3117".
3 E a ira do SENHOR foi acesa contra Israel, e ele os entregou na mão de Hazael, rei da Síria, e na mão de Ben-Hadade, o filho de Hazael, todos os seus dias.
4 And Jehoahaz|strong="H3059" besought|strong="H2470" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hearkened|strong="H8085" unto|strong="H6440" him: for he saw|strong="H7200" the oppression|strong="H3906" of Israel|strong="H3478", because the king|strong="H4428" of Syria|strong="H0758" oppressed|strong="H3905" them.
4 E Jeoacaz buscou ao SENHOR, e o SENHOR atentou a ele; porque ele viu a opressão de Israel, porque o rei da Síria os oprimia.
5 (And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* gave|strong="H5414" Israel|strong="H3478" a saviour|strong="H3467", so that they went out|strong="H3318" from under the hand|strong="H3027" of the Syrians|strong="H0758": and the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" dwelt|strong="H3427" in their tents|strong="H0168", as beforetime|strong="H8032".
5 (E o SENHOR deu a Israel um salvador, de modo que eles saíram debaixo da mão dos sírios; e os filhos de Israel habitaram nas suas tendas, como antes.
6 Nevertheless they departed|strong="H5493" not from the sins|strong="H2403" of the house|strong="H1004" of Jeroboam|strong="H3379", who made Israel|strong="H3478" sin|strong="H2398", but walked|strong="H1980" therein: and there remained|strong="H5975" the grove|strong="H0842" also in Samaria|strong="H8111".)
6 Todavia, eles não se afastaram dos pecados da casa de Jeroboão, que fez Israel pecar, mas neles andaram; e ali também permaneceu o bosque em Samaria).
7 Neither did he leave|strong="H7604" of the people|strong="H5971" to Jehoahaz|strong="H3059" but fifty|strong="H2572" horsemen|strong="H6571", and ten|strong="H6235" chariots|strong="H7393", and ten|strong="H6235" thousand|strong="H0505" footmen|strong="H7273"; for the king|strong="H4428" of Syria|strong="H0758" had destroyed|strong="H0006" them, and had made|strong="H7760" them like the dust|strong="H6083" by threshing|strong="H1758".
7 Tampouco deixou do povo para Jeoacaz senão cinquenta cavaleiros, e dez carruagens, e dez mil homens a pé; porque o rei da Síria lhes havia destruído, e lhes havia feito como o pó da debulha.
8 Now the rest|strong="H3499" of the acts|strong="H1697" of Jehoahaz|strong="H3059", and all that he did|strong="H6213", and his might|strong="H1369", are they not written|strong="H3789" in the book|strong="H5612" of the chronicles|strong="H1697" of the kings|strong="H4428" of Israel|strong="H3478"?
8 Ora, o restante dos atos de Jeoacaz, e tudo o que ele fez, e todo o seu poder, não estão escritos no livro das Crônicas dos reis de Israel?
9 And Jehoahaz|strong="H3059" slept|strong="H7901" with his fathers|strong="H0001"; and they buried|strong="H6912" him in Samaria|strong="H8111": and Joash|strong="H3101" his son|strong="H1121" reigned|strong="H4427" in his stead.
9 E Jeoacaz dormiu com os seus pais; e eles o sepultaram em Samaria; e Jeoás, o seu filho, reinou no seu lugar.
10 In the thirty|strong="H7970" and seventh|strong="H7651" year|strong="H8141" of Joash|strong="H3101" king|strong="H4428" of Judah|strong="H3063" began Jehoash|strong="H3060" the son|strong="H1121" of Jehoahaz|strong="H3059" to reign|strong="H4427" over Israel|strong="H3478" in Samaria|strong="H8111", and reigned sixteen|strong="H8337" years|strong="H8141".
10 No trigésimo sétimo ano de Joás, rei de Judá, começou Jeoás, o filho de Jeoacaz, a reinar sobre Israel em Samaria, e reinou por dezesseis anos.
11 And he did|strong="H6213" that which was evil|strong="H7451" in the sight|strong="H5869" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; he departed|strong="H5493" not from all the sins|strong="H2403" of Jeroboam|strong="H3379" the son|strong="H1121" of Nebat|strong="H5028", who made Israel|strong="H3478" sin|strong="H2398": but he walked|strong="H1980" therein.
11 E ele fez aquilo que era mau à vista do SENHOR, e não se afastou de todos os pecados de Jeroboão, o filho de Nebate, que fez Israel pecar; mas neles andou.
12 And the rest|strong="H3499" of the acts|strong="H1697" of Joash|strong="H3101", and all that he did|strong="H6213", and his might|strong="H1369" wherewith he fought|strong="H3898" against Amaziah|strong="H0558" king|strong="H4428" of Judah|strong="H3063", are they not written|strong="H3789" in the book|strong="H5612" of the chronicles|strong="H1697" of the kings|strong="H4428" of Israel|strong="H3478"?
12 E o restante dos atos de Jeoás, e tudo o que ele fez, e o poder com que ele lutou contra Amazias, rei de Judá, não estão escritos no livro das Crônicas dos reis de Israel?
13 And Joash|strong="H3101" slept|strong="H7901" with his fathers|strong="H0001"; and Jeroboam|strong="H3379" sat|strong="H3427" upon his throne|strong="H3678": and Joash|strong="H3101" was buried|strong="H6912" in Samaria|strong="H8111" with the kings|strong="H4428" of Israel|strong="H3478".
13 E Jeoás dormiu com os seus pais; e Jeroboão se assentou sobre o seu trono; e Jeoás foi sepultado em Samaria com os reis de Israel.
14 Now Elisha|strong="H0477" was fallen sick|strong="H2470" of his sickness|strong="H2483" whereof he died|strong="H4191". And Joash|strong="H3101" the king|strong="H4428" of Israel|strong="H3478" came down|strong="H3381" unto him, and wept|strong="H1058" over his face|strong="H6440", and said|strong="H0559", O my father|strong="H0001", my father|strong="H0001", the chariot|strong="H7393" of Israel|strong="H3478", and the horsemen|strong="H6571" thereof.
14 Ora, Eliseu havia ficado enfermo com a enfermidade da qual ele morreu. E Jeoás, o rei de Israel, desceu até ele, e chorou sobre a sua face, e disse: Ó meu pai, meu pai! A carruagem de Israel, e os seus cavaleiros.
15 And Elisha|strong="H0477" said|strong="H0559" unto him, Take|strong="H3947" bow|strong="H7198" and arrows|strong="H2671". And he took|strong="H3947" unto him bow|strong="H7198" and arrows|strong="H2671".
15 E Eliseu disse-lhe: Toma um arco e flechas. E ele tomou consigo um arco e flechas.
16 And he said|strong="H0559" to the king|strong="H4428" of Israel|strong="H3478", Put|strong="H7392" thine hand|strong="H3027" upon the bow|strong="H7198". And he put|strong="H7392" his hand|strong="H3027" upon it: and Elisha|strong="H0477" put|strong="H7760" his hands|strong="H3027" upon the king’s|strong="H4428" hands|strong="H3027".
16 E ele disse ao rei de Israel: Põe a tua mão sobre o arco. E pôs sobre ele a sua mão; e Eliseu pôs a sua mão sobre as mãos do rei.
17 And he said|strong="H0559", Open|strong="H6605" the window|strong="H2474" eastward|strong="H6924". And he opened|strong="H6605" it. Then Elisha|strong="H0477" said|strong="H0559", Shoot|strong="H3384". And he shot|strong="H3384". And he said|strong="H0559", The arrow|strong="H2671" of the \+w LORD’s|strong="H3068"\+w* deliverance|strong="H8668", and the arrow|strong="H2671" of deliverance|strong="H8668" from Syria|strong="H0758": for thou shalt smite|strong="H5221" the Syrians|strong="H0758" in Aphek|strong="H0663", till thou have consumed|strong="H3615" them.
17 E disse-lhe: Abre a janela do lado do oriente. E ele a abriu. Então, Eliseu disse: Atira. E ele atirou. E ele disse: A flecha do livramento do SENHOR, e a flecha do livramento da Síria; porque tu ferirás os sírios em Afeque, até que os tenhas consumido.
18 And he said|strong="H0559", Take|strong="H3947" the arrows|strong="H2671". And he took|strong="H3947" them. And he said|strong="H0559" unto the king|strong="H4428" of Israel|strong="H3478", Smite|strong="H5221" upon the ground|strong="H0776". And he smote|strong="H5221" thrice|strong="H7969", and stayed|strong="H5975".
18 E ele disse: Toma as flechas. E ele as tomou. E ele disse ao rei de Israel: Fere a terra. E ele feriu três vezes, e cessou.
19 And the man|strong="H0376" of God|strong="H0430" was wroth|strong="H7107" with him, and said|strong="H0559", Thou shouldest have smitten|strong="H5221" five|strong="H2568" or six|strong="H8337" times|strong="H6471"; then hadst thou smitten|strong="H5221" Syria|strong="H0758" till thou hadst consumed|strong="H3615" it: whereas now thou shalt smite|strong="H5221" Syria|strong="H0758" but thrice|strong="H7969".
19 E o homem de Deus ficou irado com ele, e disse: Tu deverias ter ferido cinco ou seis vezes; então terias ferido a Síria até tê-la consumido; posto que agora tu ferirás a Síria não mais do que três vezes.
20 And Elisha|strong="H0477" died|strong="H4191", and they buried|strong="H6912" him. And the bands|strong="H1416" of the Moabites|strong="H4124" invaded|strong="H0935" the land|strong="H0776" at the coming in|strong="H0935" of the year|strong="H8141".
20 E Eliseu morreu, e eles o sepultaram. E os bandos dos moabitas invadiram a terra pela chegada do ano.
21 And it came to pass, as they were burying|strong="H6912" a man|strong="H0376", that, behold, they spied|strong="H7200" a band|strong="H1416" of men; and they cast|strong="H7993" the man|strong="H0376" into the sepulchre|strong="H6913" of Elisha|strong="H0477": and when the man|strong="H0376" was let down|strong="H3212", and touched|strong="H5060" the bones|strong="H6106" of Elisha|strong="H0477", he revived|strong="H2421", and stood up|strong="H6965" on his feet|strong="H7272".
21 E sucedeu, enquanto eles estavam sepultando um homem, eis que espionaram um bando de homens; e lançaram o homem no sepulcro de Eliseu; e quando o homem foi largado abaixo, e tocou nos ossos de Eliseu, ele reviveu, e levantou-se sobre os seus pés.
22 But Hazael|strong="H2371" king|strong="H4428" of Syria|strong="H0758" oppressed|strong="H3905" Israel|strong="H3478" all the days|strong="H3117" of Jehoahaz|strong="H3059".
22 Porém, Hazael, rei da Síria, oprimiu Israel todos os dias de Jeoacaz.
23 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* was gracious|strong="H2603" unto them, and had compassion|strong="H7355" on them, and had respect|strong="H6437" unto them, because of|strong="H4616" his covenant|strong="H1285" with Abraham|strong="H0085", Isaac|strong="H3327", and Jacob|strong="H3290", and would|strong="H0014" not destroy|strong="H7843" them, neither cast|strong="H7993" he them from his presence|strong="H6440" as yet|strong="H5704".
23 E o SENHOR foi gracioso para com eles, e deles teve compaixão, e teve respeito para com eles, por causa do seu pacto com Abraão, Isaque e Jacó e não quis destruí-los, tampouco ele os lançou da sua presença até aquele momento.
24 So Hazael|strong="H2371" king|strong="H4428" of Syria|strong="H0758" died|strong="H4191"; and Ben-hadad|strong="H1130" his son|strong="H1121" reigned|strong="H4427" in his stead.
24 Assim, Hazael, rei da Síria, morreu; e Ben-Hadade, o seu filho, reinou no seu lugar.
25 And Jehoash|strong="H3060" the son|strong="H1121" of Jehoahaz|strong="H3059" took|strong="H3947" again|strong="H7725" out of the hand|strong="H3027" of Ben-hadad|strong="H1130" the son|strong="H1121" of Hazael|strong="H2371" the cities|strong="H5892", which he had taken|strong="H3947" out of the hand|strong="H3027" of Jehoahaz|strong="H3059" his father|strong="H0001" by war|strong="H4421". Three|strong="H7969" times|strong="H6471" did Joash|strong="H3101" beat|strong="H5221" him, and recovered|strong="H7725" the cities|strong="H5892" of Israel|strong="H3478".
25 E Jeoás, o filho de Jeoacaz, tomou novamente da mão de Ben-Hadade, o filho de Hazael, as cidades que ele havia tomado da mão de Jeoacaz, o seu pai, por guerra. Três vezes Jeoás o venceu, e recuperou as cidades de Israel.
