2 That the cities|strong="H5892" which Huram|strong="H2361" had restored|strong="H5414" to Solomon|strong="H8010", Solomon|strong="H8010" built|strong="H1129" them, and caused the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" to dwell|strong="H3427" there.
3 And Solomon|strong="H8010" went|strong="H3212" to Hamath-zobah|strong="H2578", and prevailed|strong="H2388" against it.
4 And he built|strong="H1129" Tadmor|strong="H8412" in the wilderness|strong="H4057", and all the store|strong="H4543" cities|strong="H5892", which he built|strong="H1129" in Hamath|strong="H2574".
5 Also he built|strong="H1129" Beth-horon|strong="H1032" the upper|strong="H5945", and Beth-horon|strong="H1032" the nether|strong="H8481", fenced|strong="H4692" cities|strong="H5892", with walls|strong="H2346", gates|strong="H1817", and bars|strong="H1280";
6 And Baalath|strong="H1191", and all the store|strong="H4543" cities|strong="H5892" that Solomon|strong="H8010" had, and all the chariot|strong="H7393" cities|strong="H5892", and the cities|strong="H5892" of the horsemen|strong="H6571", and all that Solomon|strong="H8010" desired|strong="H2836" to build|strong="H1129" in Jerusalem|strong="H3389", and in Lebanon|strong="H3844", and throughout all the land|strong="H0776" of his dominion|strong="H4475".
7 As for all the people|strong="H5971" that were left|strong="H3498" of the Hittites|strong="H2850", and the Amorites|strong="H0567", and the Perizzites|strong="H6522", and the Hivites|strong="H2340", and the Jebusites|strong="H2983", which were not of Israel|strong="H3478",
8 But of their children|strong="H1121", who were left|strong="H3498" after|strong="H0310" them in the land|strong="H0776", whom the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" consumed|strong="H3615" not, them did Solomon|strong="H8010" make to pay|strong="H5927" tribute|strong="H4522" until this day|strong="H3117".
9 But of the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" did Solomon|strong="H8010" make|strong="H5414" no servants|strong="H5650" for his work|strong="H4399"; but they were men|strong="H0582" of war|strong="H4421", and chief|strong="H8269" of his captains|strong="H7991", and captains|strong="H8269" of his chariots|strong="H7393" and horsemen|strong="H6571".
10 And these were the chief|strong="H8269" of king|strong="H4428" Solomon’s|strong="H8010" officers|strong="H5324", even two hundred|strong="H3967" and fifty|strong="H2572", that bare rule|strong="H7287" over the people|strong="H5971".
11 And Solomon|strong="H8010" brought up|strong="H5927" the daughter|strong="H1323" of Pharaoh|strong="H6547" out of the city|strong="H5892" of David|strong="H1732" unto the house|strong="H1004" that he had built|strong="H1129" for her: for he said|strong="H0559", My wife|strong="H0802" shall not dwell|strong="H3427" in the house|strong="H1004" of David|strong="H1732" king|strong="H4428" of Israel|strong="H3478", because the places are holy|strong="H6944", whereunto the ark|strong="H0727" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath come|strong="H0935".
12 Then Solomon|strong="H8010" offered|strong="H5927" burnt offerings|strong="H5930" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* on the altar|strong="H4196" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, which he had built|strong="H1129" before|strong="H6440" the porch|strong="H0197",
13 Even after a certain rate|strong="H1697" every day|strong="H3117", offering|strong="H5927" according to the commandment|strong="H4687" of Moses|strong="H4872", on the sabbaths|strong="H7676", and on the new moons|strong="H2320", and on the solemn feasts|strong="H4150", three|strong="H7969" times|strong="H6471" in the year|strong="H8141", even in the feast|strong="H2282" of unleavened bread|strong="H4682", and in the feast|strong="H2282" of weeks|strong="H7620", and in the feast|strong="H2282" of tabernacles|strong="H5521".
14 And he appointed|strong="H5975", according to the order|strong="H4941" of David|strong="H1732" his father|strong="H0001", the courses|strong="H4256" of the priests|strong="H3548" to their service|strong="H5656", and the Levites|strong="H3881" to their charges|strong="H4931", to praise|strong="H1984" and minister|strong="H8334" before the priests|strong="H3548", as the duty|strong="H1697" of every day|strong="H3117" required|strong="H3117": the porters|strong="H7778" also by their courses|strong="H4256" at every gate|strong="H8179": for so had David|strong="H1732" the man|strong="H0376" of God|strong="H0430" commanded|strong="H4687".
15 And they departed|strong="H5493" not from the commandment|strong="H4687" of the king|strong="H4428" unto the priests|strong="H3548" and Levites|strong="H3881" concerning any matter|strong="H1697", or concerning the treasures|strong="H0214".
16 Now all the work|strong="H4399" of Solomon|strong="H8010" was prepared|strong="H3559" unto the day|strong="H3117" of the foundation|strong="H4143" of the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and until it was finished|strong="H3615". So the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* was perfected|strong="H8003".
17 Then went|strong="H1980" Solomon|strong="H8010" to Ezion-geber|strong="H6100", and to Eloth|strong="H0359", at the sea|strong="H3220" side|strong="H8193" in the land|strong="H0776" of Edom|strong="H0123".
18 And Huram|strong="H2361" sent|strong="H7971" him by the hands|strong="H3027" of his servants|strong="H5650" ships|strong="H0591", and servants|strong="H5650" that had knowledge|strong="H3045" of the sea|strong="H3220"; and they went|strong="H0935" with the servants|strong="H5650" of Solomon|strong="H8010" to Ophir|strong="H0211", and took|strong="H3947" thence four|strong="H0702" hundred|strong="H3967" and fifty|strong="H2572" talents|strong="H3603" of gold|strong="H2091", and brought|strong="H0935" them to king|strong="H4428" Solomon|strong="H8010".
