2 Crônicas 7

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

1 Now when Solomon|strong="H8010" had made an end|strong="H3615" of praying|strong="H6419", the fire|strong="H0784" came down|strong="H3381" from heaven|strong="H8064", and consumed|strong="H0398" the burnt offering|strong="H5930" and the sacrifices|strong="H2077"; and the glory|strong="H3519" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* filled|strong="H4390" the house|strong="H1004".

2 And the priests|strong="H3548" could|strong="H3201" not enter|strong="H0935" into the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, because the glory|strong="H3519" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* had filled|strong="H4390" the \+w LORD’s|strong="H3068"\+w* house|strong="H1004".

3 And when all the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" saw|strong="H7200" how the fire|strong="H0784" came down|strong="H3381", and the glory|strong="H3519" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* upon the house|strong="H1004", they bowed|strong="H3766" themselves with their faces|strong="H0639" to the ground|strong="H0776" upon the pavement|strong="H7531", and worshipped|strong="H7812", and praised|strong="H3034" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, saying, For he is good|strong="H2896"; for his mercy|strong="H2617" endureth for ever|strong="H5769".

4 Then the king|strong="H4428" and all the people|strong="H5971" offered|strong="H2076" sacrifices|strong="H2077" before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.

5 And king|strong="H4428" Solomon|strong="H8010" offered|strong="H2076" a sacrifice|strong="H2077" of twenty|strong="H6242" and two|strong="H8147" thousand|strong="H0505" oxen|strong="H1241", and an hundred|strong="H3967" and twenty|strong="H6242" thousand|strong="H0505" sheep|strong="H6629": so the king|strong="H4428" and all the people|strong="H5971" dedicated|strong="H2596" the house|strong="H1004" of God|strong="H0430".

6 And the priests|strong="H3548" waited|strong="H5975" on their offices|strong="H4931": the Levites|strong="H3881" also with instruments|strong="H3627" of musick|strong="H7892" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, which David|strong="H1732" the king|strong="H4428" had made|strong="H6213" to praise|strong="H3034" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, because his mercy|strong="H2617" endureth for ever|strong="H5769", when David|strong="H1732" praised|strong="H1984" by their ministry|strong="H3027"; and the priests|strong="H3548" sounded trumpets|strong="H2690" before them, and all Israel|strong="H3478" stood|strong="H5975".

7 Moreover Solomon|strong="H8010" hallowed|strong="H6942" the middle|strong="H8432" of the court|strong="H2691" that was before|strong="H6440" the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: for there he offered|strong="H6213" burnt offerings|strong="H5930", and the fat|strong="H2459" of the peace offerings|strong="H8002", because the brasen|strong="H5178" altar|strong="H4196" which Solomon|strong="H8010" had made|strong="H6213" was not able|strong="H3201" to receive|strong="H3557" the burnt offerings|strong="H5930", and the meat offerings|strong="H4503", and the fat|strong="H2459".

8 Also at the same time|strong="H6256" Solomon|strong="H8010" kept|strong="H6213" the feast|strong="H2282" seven|strong="H7651" days|strong="H3117", and all Israel|strong="H3478" with him, a very|strong="H3966" great|strong="H1419" congregation|strong="H6951", from the entering in|strong="H0935" of Hamath|strong="H2574" unto the river|strong="H5158" of Egypt|strong="H4714".

9 And in the eighth|strong="H8066" day|strong="H3117" they made|strong="H6213" a solemn assembly|strong="H6116": for they kept|strong="H6213" the dedication|strong="H2598" of the altar|strong="H4196" seven|strong="H7651" days|strong="H3117", and the feast|strong="H2282" seven|strong="H7651" days|strong="H3117".

10 And on the three|strong="H7969" and twentieth|strong="H6242" day|strong="H3117" of the seventh|strong="H7637" month|strong="H2320" he sent|strong="H7971" the people|strong="H5971" away|strong="H7971" into their tents|strong="H0168", glad|strong="H8056" and merry|strong="H2896" in heart|strong="H3820" for the goodness|strong="H2896" that the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* had shewed|strong="H6213" unto David|strong="H1732", and to Solomon|strong="H8010", and to Israel|strong="H3478" his people|strong="H5971".

11 Thus Solomon|strong="H8010" finished|strong="H3615" the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and the king’s|strong="H4428" house|strong="H1004": and all that came|strong="H0935" into Solomon’s|strong="H8010" heart|strong="H3820" to make|strong="H6213" in the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and in his own house|strong="H1004", he prosperously effected|strong="H6743".

12 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* appeared|strong="H7200" to Solomon|strong="H8010" by night|strong="H3915", and said|strong="H0559" unto him, I have heard|strong="H8085" thy prayer|strong="H8605", and have chosen|strong="H0977" this place|strong="H4725" to myself for an house|strong="H1004" of sacrifice|strong="H2077".

13 If|strong="H2005" I shut up|strong="H6113" heaven|strong="H8064" that there be no rain|strong="H4306", or if I command|strong="H6680" the locusts|strong="H2284" to devour|strong="H0398" the land|strong="H0776", or if I send|strong="H7971" pestilence|strong="H1698" among my people|strong="H5971";

14 If my people|strong="H5971", which are called|strong="H7121" by my name|strong="H8034", shall humble|strong="H3665" themselves, and pray|strong="H6419", and seek|strong="H1245" my face|strong="H6440", and turn|strong="H7725" from their wicked|strong="H7451" ways|strong="H1870"; then will I hear|strong="H8085" from heaven|strong="H8064", and will forgive|strong="H5545" their sin|strong="H2403", and will heal|strong="H7495" their land|strong="H0776".

15 Now mine eyes|strong="H5869" shall be open|strong="H6605", and mine ears|strong="H0241" attent|strong="H7183" unto the prayer|strong="H8605" that is made in this place|strong="H4725".

16 For now have I chosen|strong="H0977" and sanctified|strong="H6942" this house|strong="H1004", that my name|strong="H8034" may be there for|strong="H5704" ever|strong="H5769": and mine eyes|strong="H5869" and mine heart|strong="H3820" shall be there perpetually|strong="H3117".

17 And as for thee, if thou wilt walk|strong="H3212" before|strong="H6440" me, as David|strong="H1732" thy father|strong="H0001" walked|strong="H1980", and do|strong="H6213" according to all that I have commanded|strong="H6680" thee, and shalt observe|strong="H8104" my statutes|strong="H2706" and my judgments|strong="H4941";

18 Then will I stablish|strong="H6965" the throne|strong="H3678" of thy kingdom|strong="H4438", according as I have covenanted|strong="H3772" with David|strong="H1732" thy father|strong="H0001", saying|strong="H0559", There shall not fail|strong="H3772" thee a man|strong="H0376" to be ruler|strong="H4910" in Israel|strong="H3478".

19 But if ye turn away|strong="H7725", and forsake|strong="H5800" my statutes|strong="H2708" and my commandments|strong="H4687", which I have set|strong="H5414" before|strong="H6440" you, and shall go|strong="H1980" and serve|strong="H5647" other|strong="H0312" gods|strong="H0430", and worship|strong="H7812" them;

20 Then will I pluck them up by the roots|strong="H5428" out of my land|strong="H0127" which I have given|strong="H5414" them; and this house|strong="H1004", which I have sanctified|strong="H6942" for my name|strong="H8034", will I cast out|strong="H7993" of my sight|strong="H6440", and will make|strong="H5414" it to be a proverb|strong="H4912" and a byword|strong="H8148" among all nations|strong="H5971".

21 And this house|strong="H1004", which is high|strong="H5945", shall be an astonishment|strong="H8074" to every one that passeth|strong="H5674" by it; so that he shall say|strong="H0559", Why hath the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* done|strong="H6213" thus unto this land|strong="H0776", and unto this house|strong="H1004"?

22 And it shall be answered|strong="H0559", Because they forsook|strong="H5800" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" of their fathers|strong="H0001", which brought them forth|strong="H3318" out of the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714", and laid hold|strong="H2388" on other|strong="H0312" gods|strong="H0430", and worshipped|strong="H7812" them, and served|strong="H5647" them: therefore hath he brought|strong="H0935" all this evil|strong="H7451" upon them.
