1 Moreover Josiah|strong="H2977" kept|strong="H6213" a passover|strong="H6453" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* in Jerusalem|strong="H3389": and they killed|strong="H7819" the passover|strong="H6453" on the fourteenth|strong="H0702" day of the first|strong="H7223" month|strong="H2320".
1 Josias celebrou a Páscoa do Senhor em Jerusalém, e o cordeiro da Páscoa foi abatido no dia catorze do primeiro mês.
2 And he set|strong="H5975" the priests|strong="H3548" in their charges|strong="H4931", and encouraged|strong="H2388" them to the service|strong="H5656" of the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*,
2 Ele nomeou os sacerdotes para as suas responsabilidades e os encorajou a dedicar-se ao serviço no templo do Senhor.

3 Ele disse aos levitas que instruíam todo Israel e haviam sido consagrados ao Senhor: "Ponham a arca sagrada no templo construído por Salomão, filho de Davi, rei de Israel. Vocês não precisam mais levá-la de um lado para outro sobre os ombros. Agora sirvam ao Senhor, ao seu Deus, e ao povo dele, Israel.
4 And prepare|strong="H3559" yourselves by the houses|strong="H1004" of your fathers|strong="H0001", after your courses|strong="H4256", according to the writing|strong="H3791" of David|strong="H1732" king|strong="H4428" of Israel|strong="H3478", and according to the writing|strong="H4385" of Solomon|strong="H8010" his son|strong="H1121".
4 Preparem-se por famílias, em suas divisões, de acordo com a orientação escrita por Davi, rei de Israel, e por seu filho Salomão.
5 And stand in|strong="H5975" the holy|strong="H6944" place according to the divisions|strong="H6391" of the families|strong="H1004" of the fathers|strong="H0001" of your brethren|strong="H0251" the people|strong="H1121", and after the division|strong="H2515" of the families|strong="H0001" of the Levites|strong="H3881".
5 "Fiquem no lugar santo com um grupo de levitas para cada subdivisão das famílias do povo.
6 So kill|strong="H7819" the passover|strong="H6453", and sanctify|strong="H6942" yourselves, and prepare|strong="H3559" your brethren|strong="H0251", that they may do|strong="H6213" according to the word|strong="H1697" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* by the hand|strong="H3027" of Moses|strong="H4872".
6 Abatam os cordeiros da Páscoa, consagrem-se e preparem os cordeiros para os seus irmãos israelitas, fazendo o que o Senhor ordenou por meio de Moisés".
7 And Josiah|strong="H2977" gave|strong="H7311" to the people|strong="H1121", of the flock|strong="H6629", lambs|strong="H3532" and kids|strong="H1121", all for the passover offerings|strong="H6453", for all that were present|strong="H4672", to the number|strong="H4557" of thirty|strong="H7970" thousand|strong="H0505", and three|strong="H7969" thousand|strong="H0505" bullocks|strong="H1241": these were of the king’s|strong="H4428" substance|strong="H7399".
7 Josias deu a todo o povo que ali estava um total de trinta mil ovelhas e cabritos para as ofertas da Páscoa, além de três mil bois; tudo foi tirado dos bens pessoais do rei.
8 And his princes|strong="H8269" gave|strong="H7311" willingly|strong="H5071" unto the people|strong="H5971", to the priests|strong="H3548", and to the Levites|strong="H3881": Hilkiah|strong="H2518" and Zechariah|strong="H2148" and Jehiel|strong="H3171", rulers|strong="H5057" of the house|strong="H1004" of God|strong="H0430", gave|strong="H5414" unto the priests|strong="H3548" for the passover offerings|strong="H6453" two thousand|strong="H0505" and six|strong="H8337" hundred|strong="H3967" small cattle, and three|strong="H7969" hundred|strong="H3967" oxen|strong="H1241".
8 Seus oficiais também contribuíram voluntariamente para o povo, para os sacerdotes e para os levitas. Hilquias, Zacarias e Jeiel, os administradores do templo de Deus, deram aos sacerdotes duas mil e seiscentas ovelhas e cabritos e trezentos bois.
9 Conaniah|strong="H3562" also, and Shemaiah|strong="H8098" and Nethaneel|strong="H5417", his brethren|strong="H0251", and Hashabiah|strong="H2811" and Jeiel|strong="H3273" and Jozabad|strong="H3107", chief|strong="H8269" of the Levites|strong="H3881", gave|strong="H7311" unto the Levites|strong="H3881" for passover offerings|strong="H6453" five|strong="H2568" thousand|strong="H0505" small cattle, and five|strong="H2568" hundred|strong="H3967" oxen|strong="H1241".
9 Também Conanias, junto com seus irmãos Semaías, Natanael e com os líderes dos levitas, Hasabias, Jeiel e Jozabade, ofereceram aos levitas cinco mil ovelhas e cabritos e quinhentos bois.
10 So the service|strong="H5656" was prepared|strong="H3559", and the priests|strong="H3548" stood|strong="H5975" in their place|strong="H5977", and the Levites|strong="H3881" in their courses|strong="H4256", according to the king’s|strong="H4428" commandment|strong="H4687".
10 O serviço foi organizado e os sacerdotes assumiram os seus lugares com os levitas em seus turnos, conforme o rei ordenara.
11 And they killed|strong="H7819" the passover|strong="H6453", and the priests|strong="H3548" sprinkled|strong="H2236" the blood from their hands|strong="H3027", and the Levites|strong="H3881" flayed|strong="H6584" them.
11 Os cordeiros da Páscoa foram abatidos, e os sacerdotes aspergiram o sangue que lhes fora entregue, enquanto os levitas tiravam a pele dos animais.
12 And they removed|strong="H5493" the burnt offerings|strong="H5930", that they might give|strong="H5414" according to the divisions|strong="H4653" of the families|strong="H0001" of the people|strong="H1121", to offer|strong="H7126" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, as it is written|strong="H3789" in the book|strong="H5612" of Moses|strong="H4872". And so did they with the oxen|strong="H1241".
12 Eles separaram também os holocaustos para dá-los aos grupos das famílias do povo, para que essas os oferecessem ao Senhor, conforme está escrito no livro de Moisés; e fizeram o mesmo com os bois.
13 And they roasted|strong="H1310" the passover|strong="H6453" with fire|strong="H0784" according to the ordinance|strong="H4941": but the other holy|strong="H6944" offerings sod|strong="H1310" they in pots|strong="H5518", and in caldrons|strong="H1731", and in pans|strong="H6745", and divided them speedily|strong="H7323" among all the people|strong="H1121".
13 Assaram os animais da Páscoa sobre o fogo, conforme prescrito, cozinharam as ofertas sagradas em potes, caldeirões e panelas, e serviram rapidamente a todo o povo.
14 And afterward|strong="H0310" they made ready|strong="H3559" for themselves, and for the priests|strong="H3548": because the priests|strong="H3548" the sons|strong="H1121" of Aaron|strong="H0175" were busied in offering|strong="H5927" of burnt offerings|strong="H5930" and the fat|strong="H2459" until night|strong="H3915"; therefore the Levites|strong="H3881" prepared|strong="H3559" for themselves, and for the priests|strong="H3548" the sons|strong="H1121" of Aaron|strong="H0175".
14 Depois disso, os levitas prepararam a parte deles e a dos sacerdotes, pois estes, descendentes de Arão, ficaram sacrificando os holocaustos e as porções de gordura até o anoitecer. Foi por isso que os levitas prepararam a parte deles e a dos sacerdotes, descendentes de Arão.
15 And the singers|strong="H7891" the sons|strong="H1121" of Asaph|strong="H0623" were in their place|strong="H4612", according to the commandment|strong="H4687" of David|strong="H1732", and Asaph|strong="H0623", and Heman|strong="H1968", and Jeduthun|strong="H3038" the king’s|strong="H4428" seer|strong="H2374"; and the porters|strong="H7778" waited at every gate|strong="H8179"; they might not depart|strong="H5493" from their service|strong="H5656"; for their brethren|strong="H0251" the Levites|strong="H3881" prepared|strong="H3559" for them.
15 Os músicos, descendentes de Asafe, estavam nos locais prescritos por Davi, e por Asafe, Hemã e Jedutum, videntes do rei. Os porteiros que guardavam cada porta não precisaram deixar os seus postos, pois os seus colegas levitas prepararam as ofertas para eles.
16 So all the service|strong="H5656" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* was prepared|strong="H3559" the same day|strong="H3117", to keep|strong="H6213" the passover|strong="H6453", and to offer|strong="H5927" burnt offerings|strong="H5930" upon the altar|strong="H4196" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, according to the commandment|strong="H4687" of king|strong="H4428" Josiah|strong="H2977".
16 Assim, naquele dia, todo o serviço do Senhor foi executado para a celebração da Páscoa e para a apresentação de holocaustos no altar do Senhor, conforme o rei Josias havia ordenado.
17 And the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" that were present|strong="H4672" kept|strong="H6213" the passover|strong="H6453" at that time|strong="H6256", and the feast|strong="H2282" of unleavened bread|strong="H4682" seven|strong="H7651" days|strong="H3117".
17 Os israelitas que estavam presentes celebraram a Páscoa naquele dia e durante sete dias celebraram a festa dos pães sem fermento.
18 And there was no passover|strong="H6453" like|strong="H3644" to that kept|strong="H6213" in Israel|strong="H3478" from the days|strong="H3117" of Samuel|strong="H8050" the prophet|strong="H5030"; neither did|strong="H6213" all the kings|strong="H4428" of Israel|strong="H3478" keep|strong="H6213" such a passover|strong="H6453" as Josiah|strong="H2977" kept|strong="H6213", and the priests|strong="H3548", and the Levites|strong="H3881", and all Judah|strong="H3063" and Israel|strong="H3478" that were present|strong="H4672", and the inhabitants|strong="H3427" of Jerusalem|strong="H3389".
18 A Páscoa não havia sido celebrada dessa maneira em Israel desde os dias do profeta Samuel; e nenhum dos reis de Israel havia celebrado uma Páscoa como esta, como o fez Josias, com os sacerdotes, os levitas e todo o Judá e Israel que estavam ali com o povo de Jerusalém.
19 In the eighteenth|strong="H8083" year|strong="H8141" of the reign|strong="H4438" of Josiah|strong="H2977" was this passover|strong="H6453" kept|strong="H6213".
19 Esta Páscoa foi celebrada no décimo oitavo ano do reinado de Josias.
20 After|strong="H0310" all this, when Josiah|strong="H2977" had prepared|strong="H3559" the temple|strong="H1004", Necho|strong="H5224" king|strong="H4428" of Egypt|strong="H4714" came up|strong="H5927" to fight|strong="H3898" against Carchemish|strong="H3751" by Euphrates|strong="H6578": and Josiah|strong="H2977" went out|strong="H3318" against|strong="H7125" him.
20 Depois de tudo o que Josias fez, e depois de colocar em ordem o templo, Neco, rei do Egito, saiu para lutar em Carquemis, junto ao Eufrates, e Josias marchou para combatê-lo.
21 But he sent|strong="H7971" ambassadors|strong="H4397" to him, saying|strong="H0559", What have I to do with thee, thou king|strong="H4428" of Judah|strong="H3063"? I come not against thee this day|strong="H3117", but against the house|strong="H1004" wherewith I have war|strong="H4421": for God|strong="H0430" commanded|strong="H0559" me to make haste|strong="H0926": forbear|strong="H2308" thee from meddling with God|strong="H0430", who is with me, that he destroy|strong="H7843" thee not.
21 Neco, porém, enviou-lhe mensageiros, dizendo: "Não interfiras nisso, ó rei de Judá. Desta vez não estou atacando a ti, mas a outro reino com o qual estou em guerra. Deus me disse que me apressasse; por isso pára de opor-se a Deus, que está comigo; caso contrário ele o destruirá".
22 Nevertheless Josiah|strong="H2977" would not turn|strong="H5437" his face|strong="H6440" from him, but disguised|strong="H2664" himself, that he might fight|strong="H3898" with him, and hearkened|strong="H8085" not unto the words|strong="H1697" of Necho|strong="H5224" from the mouth|strong="H6310" of God|strong="H0430", and came|strong="H0935" to fight|strong="H3898" in the valley|strong="H1237" of Megiddo|strong="H4023".
22 Josias, contudo, não quis voltar atrás, e disfarçou-se para enfrentá-lo em combate. Ele não quis ouvir o que Neco lhe disse por ordem de Deus, mas foi combatê-lo na planície de Megido.
23 And the archers|strong="H3384" shot|strong="H3384" at king|strong="H4428" Josiah|strong="H2977"; and the king|strong="H4428" said|strong="H0559" to his servants|strong="H5650", Have me away|strong="H5674"; for I am sore|strong="H3966" wounded|strong="H2470".
23 E na batalha, flecheiros atingiram o rei Josias, pelo que disse aos seus oficiais: "Tirem-me daqui. Estou gravemente ferido".
24 His servants|strong="H5650" therefore took|strong="H5674" him out of that chariot|strong="H4818", and put|strong="H7392" him in the second|strong="H4932" chariot|strong="H7393" that he had; and they brought|strong="H3212" him to Jerusalem|strong="H3389", and he died|strong="H4191", and was buried|strong="H6912" in one of the sepulchres|strong="H6913" of his fathers|strong="H0001". And all Judah|strong="H3063" and Jerusalem|strong="H3389" mourned|strong="H0056" for Josiah|strong="H2977".
24 Eles o tiraram do seu carro, colocaram-no em outro e o levaram para Jerusalém, onde morreu. Ele foi sepultado nos túmulos dos seus antepassados, e todos os moradores de Judá e de Jerusalém choraram por ele.
25 And Jeremiah|strong="H3414" lamented|strong="H6969" for Josiah|strong="H2977": and all the singing men|strong="H7891" and the singing women|strong="H7891" spake|strong="H0559" of Josiah|strong="H2977" in their lamentations|strong="H7015" to this day|strong="H3117", and made|strong="H5414" them an ordinance|strong="H2706" in Israel|strong="H3478": and, behold, they are written|strong="H3789" in the lamentations|strong="H7015".

26 Os demais acontecimentos do reinado de Josias e os seus atos piedosos, de acordo com o que está escrito na Lei do Senhor,
27 And his deeds|strong="H1697", first|strong="H7223" and last|strong="H0314", behold, they are written|strong="H3789" in the book|strong="H5612" of the kings|strong="H4428" of Israel|strong="H3478" and Judah|strong="H3063".
