1 Now when all this was finished|strong="H3615", all Israel|strong="H3478" that were present|strong="H4672" went out|strong="H3318" to the cities|strong="H5892" of Judah|strong="H3063", and brake|strong="H7665" the images|strong="H4676" in pieces|strong="H7665", and cut down|strong="H1438" the groves|strong="H0842", and threw down|strong="H5422" the high places|strong="H1116" and the altars|strong="H4196" out of all Judah|strong="H3063" and Benjamin|strong="H1144", in Ephraim|strong="H0669" also and Manasseh|strong="H4519", until they had utterly destroyed|strong="H3615" them all. Then all the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" returned|strong="H7725", every man|strong="H0376" to his possession|strong="H0272", into their own cities|strong="H5892".
2 And Hezekiah|strong="H3169" appointed|strong="H5975" the courses|strong="H4256" of the priests|strong="H3548" and the Levites|strong="H3881" after their courses|strong="H4256", every man|strong="H0376" according|strong="H6310" to his service|strong="H5656", the priests|strong="H3548" and Levites|strong="H3881" for burnt offerings|strong="H5930" and for peace offerings|strong="H8002", to minister|strong="H8334", and to give thanks|strong="H3034", and to praise|strong="H1984" in the gates|strong="H8179" of the tents|strong="H4264" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
3 He appointed also the king’s|strong="H4428" portion|strong="H4521" of his substance|strong="H7399" for the burnt offerings|strong="H5930", to wit, for the morning|strong="H1242" and evening|strong="H6153" burnt offerings|strong="H5930", and the burnt offerings|strong="H5930" for the sabbaths|strong="H7676", and for the new moons|strong="H2320", and for the set feasts|strong="H4150", as it is written|strong="H3789" in the law|strong="H8451" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
4 Moreover he commanded|strong="H0559" the people|strong="H5971" that dwelt|strong="H3427" in Jerusalem|strong="H3389" to give|strong="H5414" the portion|strong="H4521" of the priests|strong="H3548" and the Levites|strong="H3881", that they might be encouraged|strong="H2388" in the law|strong="H8451" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
5 And as soon as the commandment|strong="H1697" came abroad|strong="H6555", the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" brought|strong="H0935" in abundance|strong="H7235" the firstfruits|strong="H7225" of corn|strong="H1715", wine|strong="H8492", and oil|strong="H3323", and honey|strong="H1706", and of all the increase|strong="H8393" of the field|strong="H7704"; and the tithe|strong="H4643" of all things brought|strong="H0935" they in abundantly|strong="H7230".
6 And concerning the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" and Judah|strong="H3063", that dwelt|strong="H3427" in the cities|strong="H5892" of Judah|strong="H3063", they also brought in|strong="H0935" the tithe|strong="H4643" of oxen|strong="H1241" and sheep|strong="H6629", and the tithe|strong="H4643" of holy things|strong="H6944" which were consecrated|strong="H6942" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* their God|strong="H0430", and laid|strong="H5414" them by heaps|strong="H6194".
7 In the third|strong="H7992" month|strong="H2320" they began|strong="H2490" to lay the foundation|strong="H3245" of the heaps|strong="H6194", and finished|strong="H3615" them in the seventh|strong="H7637" month|strong="H2320".
8 And when Hezekiah|strong="H3169" and the princes|strong="H8269" came|strong="H0935" and saw|strong="H7200" the heaps|strong="H6194", they blessed|strong="H1288" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and his people|strong="H5971" Israel|strong="H3478".
9 Then Hezekiah|strong="H3169" questioned|strong="H1875" with the priests|strong="H3548" and the Levites|strong="H3881" concerning the heaps|strong="H6194".
10 And Azariah|strong="H5838" the chief|strong="H7218" priest|strong="H3548" of the house|strong="H1004" of Zadok|strong="H6659" answered|strong="H0559" him, and said|strong="H0559", Since the people began|strong="H2490" to bring|strong="H0935" the offerings|strong="H8641" into the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, we have had enough|strong="H7646" to eat|strong="H0398", and have left|strong="H3498" plenty|strong="H7230": for the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath blessed|strong="H1288" his people|strong="H5971"; and that which is left|strong="H3498" is this great store|strong="H1995".
11 Then Hezekiah|strong="H3169" commanded|strong="H0559" to prepare|strong="H3559" chambers|strong="H3957" in the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; and they prepared|strong="H3559" them,
12 And brought in|strong="H0935" the offerings|strong="H8641" and the tithes|strong="H4643" and the dedicated|strong="H6944" things faithfully|strong="H0530": over which Cononiah|strong="H3562" the Levite|strong="H3881" was ruler|strong="H5057", and Shimei|strong="H8096" his brother|strong="H0251" was the next|strong="H4932".
13 And Jehiel|strong="H3171", and Azaziah|strong="H5812", and Nahath|strong="H5184", and Asahel|strong="H6214", and Jerimoth|strong="H3406", and Jozabad|strong="H3107", and Eliel|strong="H0447", and Ismachiah|strong="H3253", and Mahath|strong="H4287", and Benaiah|strong="H1141", were overseers|strong="H6496" under the hand|strong="H3027" of Cononiah|strong="H3562" and Shimei|strong="H8096" his brother|strong="H0251", at the commandment|strong="H4662" of Hezekiah|strong="H3169" the king|strong="H4428", and Azariah|strong="H5838" the ruler|strong="H5057" of the house|strong="H1004" of God|strong="H0430".
14 And Kore|strong="H6981" the son|strong="H1121" of Imnah|strong="H3232" the Levite|strong="H3881", the porter|strong="H7778" toward the east|strong="H4217", was over the freewill offerings|strong="H5071" of God|strong="H0430", to distribute|strong="H5414" the oblations|strong="H8641" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and the most|strong="H6944" holy things|strong="H6944".
15 And next him were Eden|strong="H5731", and Miniamin|strong="H4509", and Jeshua|strong="H3442", and Shemaiah|strong="H8098", Amariah|strong="H0568", and Shecaniah|strong="H7935", in the cities|strong="H5892" of the priests|strong="H3548", in their set office|strong="H0530", to give|strong="H5414" to their brethren|strong="H0251" by|strong="H3027" courses|strong="H4256", as well to the great|strong="H1419" as to the small|strong="H6996":
16 Beside their genealogy|strong="H3187" of males|strong="H2145", from three|strong="H7969" years|strong="H8141" old|strong="H1121" and upward|strong="H4605", even unto every one that entereth|strong="H0935" into the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, his daily|strong="H3117" portion|strong="H1697" for their service|strong="H5656" in their charges|strong="H4931" according to their courses|strong="H4256";
17 Both to the genealogy|strong="H3187" of the priests|strong="H3548" by the house|strong="H1004" of their fathers|strong="H0001", and the Levites|strong="H3881" from twenty|strong="H6242" years|strong="H8141" old|strong="H1121" and upward|strong="H4605", in their charges|strong="H4931" by their courses|strong="H4256";
18 And to the genealogy|strong="H3187" of all their little ones|strong="H2945", their wives|strong="H0802", and their sons|strong="H1121", and their daughters|strong="H1323", through all the congregation|strong="H6951": for in their set office|strong="H0530" they sanctified|strong="H6942" themselves in holiness|strong="H6944":
19 Also of the sons|strong="H1121" of Aaron|strong="H0175" the priests|strong="H3548", which were in the fields|strong="H7704" of the suburbs|strong="H4054" of their cities|strong="H5892", in every several city|strong="H5892", the men|strong="H0582" that were expressed|strong="H5344" by name|strong="H8034", to give|strong="H5414" portions|strong="H4490" to all the males|strong="H2145" among the priests|strong="H3548", and to all that were reckoned by genealogies|strong="H3187" among the Levites|strong="H3881".
20 And thus did|strong="H6213" Hezekiah|strong="H3169" throughout all Judah|strong="H3063", and wrought|strong="H6213" that which was good|strong="H2896" and right|strong="H3477" and truth|strong="H0571" before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* his God|strong="H0430".
21 And in every work|strong="H4639" that he began|strong="H2490" in the service|strong="H5656" of the house|strong="H1004" of God|strong="H0430", and in the law|strong="H8451", and in the commandments|strong="H4687", to seek|strong="H1875" his God|strong="H0430", he did|strong="H6213" it with all his heart|strong="H3824", and prospered|strong="H6743".
