And Hezekiah|strong="H3169" sent|strong="H7971" to all Israel|strong="H3478" and Judah|strong="H3063", and wrote|strong="H3789" letters|strong="H0107" also to Ephraim|strong="H0669" and Manasseh|strong="H4519", that they should come|strong="H0935" to the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* at Jerusalem|strong="H3389", to keep|strong="H6213" the passover|strong="H6453" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" of Israel|strong="H3478".
For the king|strong="H4428" had taken counsel|strong="H3289", and his princes|strong="H8269", and all the congregation|strong="H6951" in Jerusalem|strong="H3389", to keep|strong="H6213" the passover|strong="H6453" in the second|strong="H8145" month|strong="H2320".
For they could|strong="H3201" not keep|strong="H6213" it at that time|strong="H6256", because the priests|strong="H3548" had not sanctified|strong="H6942" themselves sufficiently|strong="H4078", neither had the people|strong="H5971" gathered themselves together|strong="H0622" to Jerusalem|strong="H3389".
And the thing|strong="H1697" pleased|strong="H3474" the king|strong="H4428" and all the congregation|strong="H6951".
So they established|strong="H5975" a decree|strong="H1697" to make proclamation|strong="H5674" throughout all Israel|strong="H3478", from Beer-sheba|strong="H0884" even to Dan|strong="H1835", that they should come|strong="H0935" to keep|strong="H6213" the passover|strong="H6453" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" of Israel|strong="H3478" at Jerusalem|strong="H3389": for they had not done|strong="H6213" it of a long|strong="H7230" time in such sort as it was written|strong="H3789".
So the posts|strong="H7323" went|strong="H3212" with the letters|strong="H0107" from|strong="H3027" the king|strong="H4428" and his princes|strong="H8269" throughout all Israel|strong="H3478" and Judah|strong="H3063", and according to the commandment|strong="H4687" of the king|strong="H4428", saying|strong="H0559", Ye children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478", turn again|strong="H7725" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" of Abraham|strong="H0085", Isaac|strong="H3327", and Israel|strong="H3478", and he will return|strong="H7725" to the remnant|strong="H7604" of you, that are escaped|strong="H6413" out of the hand|strong="H3709" of the kings|strong="H4428" of Assyria|strong="H0804".
And be not ye like your fathers|strong="H0001", and like your brethren|strong="H0251", which trespassed|strong="H4603" against the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" of their fathers|strong="H0001", who therefore gave them up|strong="H5414" to desolation|strong="H8047", as ye see|strong="H7200".
Now be ye not stiffnecked|strong="H7185", as your fathers|strong="H0001" were, but yield|strong="H5414" yourselves|strong="H3027" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and enter|strong="H0935" into his sanctuary|strong="H4720", which he hath sanctified|strong="H6942" for ever|strong="H5769": and serve|strong="H5647" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* your God|strong="H0430", that the fierceness|strong="H2740" of his wrath|strong="H0639" may turn away|strong="H7725" from you.
For if ye turn again|strong="H7725" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, your brethren|strong="H0251" and your children|strong="H1121" shall find compassion|strong="H7356" before|strong="H6440" them that lead them captive|strong="H7617", so that they shall come again|strong="H7725" into this land|strong="H0776": for the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* your God|strong="H0430" is gracious|strong="H2587" and merciful|strong="H7349", and will not turn away|strong="H5493" his face|strong="H6440" from you, if ye return|strong="H7725" unto him.
So the posts|strong="H7323" passed|strong="H5674" from city|strong="H5892" to city|strong="H5892" through the country|strong="H0776" of Ephraim|strong="H0669" and Manasseh|strong="H4519" even unto Zebulun|strong="H2074": but they laughed them to scorn|strong="H7832", and mocked|strong="H3932" them.
Nevertheless divers|strong="H0582" of Asher|strong="H0836" and Manasseh|strong="H4519" and of Zebulun|strong="H2074" humbled|strong="H3665" themselves, and came|strong="H0935" to Jerusalem|strong="H3389".
Also in Judah|strong="H3063" the hand|strong="H3027" of God|strong="H0430" was to give|strong="H5414" them one|strong="H0259" heart|strong="H3820" to do|strong="H6213" the commandment|strong="H4687" of the king|strong="H4428" and of the princes|strong="H8269", by the word|strong="H1697" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
And there assembled|strong="H0622" at Jerusalem|strong="H3389" much|strong="H7227" people|strong="H5971" to keep|strong="H6213" the feast|strong="H2282" of unleavened bread|strong="H4682" in the second|strong="H8145" month|strong="H2320", a very|strong="H3966" great|strong="H7230" congregation|strong="H6951".
And they arose|strong="H6965" and took away|strong="H5493" the altars|strong="H4196" that were in Jerusalem|strong="H3389", and all the altars for incense|strong="H6999" took they away|strong="H5493", and cast|strong="H7993" them into the brook|strong="H5158" Kidron|strong="H6939".
Then they killed|strong="H7819" the passover|strong="H6453" on the fourteenth|strong="H0702" day of the second|strong="H8145" month|strong="H2320": and the priests|strong="H3548" and the Levites|strong="H3881" were ashamed|strong="H3637", and sanctified|strong="H6942" themselves, and brought in|strong="H0935" the burnt offerings|strong="H5930" into the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
And they stood|strong="H5975" in their place|strong="H5977" after their manner|strong="H4941", according to the law|strong="H8451" of Moses|strong="H4872" the man|strong="H0376" of God|strong="H0430": the priests|strong="H3548" sprinkled|strong="H2236" the blood|strong="H1818", which they received of the hand|strong="H3027" of the Levites|strong="H3881".
For there were many|strong="H7227" in the congregation|strong="H6951" that were not sanctified|strong="H6942": therefore the Levites|strong="H3881" had the charge of the killing|strong="H7821" of the passovers|strong="H6453" for every one that was not clean|strong="H2889", to sanctify|strong="H6942" them unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
For a multitude|strong="H4768" of the people|strong="H5971", even many|strong="H7227" of Ephraim|strong="H0669", and Manasseh|strong="H4519", Issachar|strong="H3485", and Zebulun|strong="H2074", had not|strong="H3808" cleansed|strong="H2891" themselves, yet did they eat|strong="H0398" the passover|strong="H6453" otherwise than it was written|strong="H3789". But Hezekiah|strong="H3169" prayed|strong="H6419" for them, saying|strong="H0559", The good|strong="H2896" \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* pardon|strong="H3722" every one
That prepareth|strong="H3559" his heart|strong="H3824" to seek|strong="H1875" God|strong="H0430", the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" of his fathers|strong="H0001", though he be not cleansed according to the purification|strong="H2893" of the sanctuary|strong="H6944".
And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hearkened|strong="H8085" to Hezekiah|strong="H3169", and healed|strong="H7495" the people|strong="H5971".
And the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" that were present|strong="H4672" at Jerusalem|strong="H3389" kept|strong="H6213" the feast|strong="H2282" of unleavened bread|strong="H4682" seven|strong="H7651" days|strong="H3117" with great|strong="H1419" gladness|strong="H8057": and the Levites|strong="H3881" and the priests|strong="H3548" praised|strong="H1984" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* day|strong="H3117" by day|strong="H3117", singing with loud|strong="H5797" instruments|strong="H3627" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
And Hezekiah|strong="H3169" spake|strong="H1696" comfortably|strong="H3820" unto all the Levites|strong="H3881" that taught|strong="H7919" the good|strong="H2896" knowledge|strong="H7922" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: and they did eat|strong="H0398" throughout the feast|strong="H4150" seven|strong="H7651" days|strong="H3117", offering|strong="H2076" peace|strong="H8002" offerings|strong="H2077", and making confession|strong="H3034" to the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" of their fathers|strong="H0001".
And the whole assembly|strong="H6951" took counsel|strong="H3289" to keep|strong="H6213" other|strong="H0312" seven|strong="H7651" days|strong="H3117": and they kept|strong="H6213" other seven|strong="H7651" days|strong="H3117" with gladness|strong="H8057".
For Hezekiah|strong="H2396" king|strong="H4428" of Judah|strong="H3063" did give|strong="H7311" to the congregation|strong="H6951" a thousand|strong="H0505" bullocks|strong="H6499" and seven|strong="H7651" thousand|strong="H0505" sheep|strong="H6629"; and the princes|strong="H8269" gave|strong="H7311" to the congregation|strong="H6951" a thousand|strong="H0505" bullocks|strong="H6499" and ten|strong="H6235" thousand|strong="H0505" sheep|strong="H6629": and a great number|strong="H7230" of priests|strong="H3548" sanctified|strong="H6942" themselves.
And all the congregation|strong="H6951" of Judah|strong="H3063", with the priests|strong="H3548" and the Levites|strong="H3881", and all the congregation|strong="H6951" that came out|strong="H0935" of Israel|strong="H3478", and the strangers|strong="H1616" that came out|strong="H0935" of the land|strong="H0776" of Israel|strong="H3478", and that dwelt|strong="H3427" in Judah|strong="H3063", rejoiced|strong="H8055".
So there was great|strong="H1419" joy|strong="H8057" in Jerusalem|strong="H3389": for since the time|strong="H3117" of Solomon|strong="H8010" the son|strong="H1121" of David|strong="H1732" king|strong="H4428" of Israel|strong="H3478" there was not the like in Jerusalem|strong="H3389".
Then the priests|strong="H3548" the Levites|strong="H3881" arose|strong="H6965" and blessed|strong="H1288" the people|strong="H5971": and their voice|strong="H6963" was heard|strong="H8085", and their prayer|strong="H8605" came|strong="H0935" up to his holy|strong="H6944" dwelling place|strong="H4583", even unto heaven|strong="H8064".
