1 And Jehoshaphat|strong="H3092" the king|strong="H4428" of Judah|strong="H3063" returned|strong="H7725" to his house|strong="H1004" in peace|strong="H7965" to Jerusalem|strong="H3389".
1 Josafá, rei de Judá, retornou são e salvo a Jerusalém.
2 And Jehu|strong="H3058" the son|strong="H1121" of Hanani|strong="H2607" the seer|strong="H2374" went out|strong="H3318" to meet|strong="H6440" him, and said|strong="H0559" to king|strong="H4428" Jehoshaphat|strong="H3092", Shouldest thou help|strong="H5826" the ungodly|strong="H7563", and love|strong="H0157" them that hate|strong="H8130" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*? therefore|strong="H2063" is wrath|strong="H7110" upon thee from before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
2 Jeú, filho do vidente Hanani, saiu-lhe ao encontro e lhe disse: Deve-se levar auxílio ao ímpio? Amas tu os que odeiam o Senhor? O Senhor está irritado contra ti.
3 Nevertheless|strong="H0061" there are good|strong="H2896" things|strong="H1697" found|strong="H4672" in thee, in that thou hast taken away|strong="H1197" the groves|strong="H0842" out of the land|strong="H0776", and hast prepared|strong="H3559" thine heart|strong="H3824" to seek|strong="H1875" God|strong="H0430".
3 Todavia, há em ti coisas boas, pois suprimiste da terra os ídolos asserás e aplicaste teu coração à busca de Deus.
4 And Jehoshaphat|strong="H3092" dwelt|strong="H3427" at Jerusalem|strong="H3389": and he went out|strong="H3318" again|strong="H7725" through the people|strong="H5971" from Beer-sheba|strong="H0884" to mount|strong="H2022" Ephraim|strong="H0669", and brought them back|strong="H7725" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" of their fathers|strong="H0001".
4 Depois de sua volta a Jerusalém, Josafá saiu de novo a visitar seu povo, desde Bersabé até a montanha de Efraim, para conduzi-lo ao Senhor, Deus de seus pais.
5 And he set|strong="H5975" judges|strong="H8199" in the land|strong="H0776" throughout all the fenced|strong="H1219" cities|strong="H5892" of Judah|strong="H3063", city|strong="H5892" by city|strong="H5892",
5 Estabeleceu juízes na terra, em cada uma das cidades fortes, sem exceção.
6 And said|strong="H0559" to the judges|strong="H8199", Take heed|strong="H7200" what ye do|strong="H6213": for ye judge|strong="H8199" not for man|strong="H0120", but for the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, who is with you in the judgment|strong="H1697".
6 Vede o que fareis, disse ele aos juízes. Não é em nome de um homem que administrais a justiça, mas em nome do Senhor, que vos assistirá quando tiverdes de fazer os vossos julgamentos.
7 Wherefore now let the fear|strong="H6343" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* be upon you; take heed|strong="H8104" and do|strong="H6213" it: for there is no iniquity|strong="H5766" with the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* our God|strong="H0430", nor respect|strong="H4856" of persons|strong="H6440", nor taking|strong="H4727" of gifts|strong="H7810".
7 Que o temor a Deus esteja conosco. Vigiai o vosso procedimento, pois, junto do Senhor, nosso Deus, não há iniqüidade, nem distinção de pessoa, nem admissão de presentes.
8 Moreover in Jerusalem|strong="H3389" did Jehoshaphat|strong="H3092" set|strong="H5975" of the Levites|strong="H3881", and of the priests|strong="H3548", and of the chief|strong="H7218" of the fathers|strong="H0001" of Israel|strong="H3478", for the judgment|strong="H4941" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and for controversies|strong="H7379", when they returned|strong="H7725" to Jerusalem|strong="H3389".
8 Também em Jerusalém, Josafá tinha estabelecido levitas e sacerdotes voltados à cidade para administrar a justiça em nome do Senhor e para serem árbitros nos litígios.
9 And he charged|strong="H6680" them, saying|strong="H0559", Thus shall ye do|strong="H6213" in the fear|strong="H3374" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, faithfully|strong="H0530", and with a perfect|strong="H8003" heart|strong="H3824".
9 Ele lhes deu as seguintes instruções: Eis como agireis, com temor ao Senhor, lealdade e integridade de coração.
10 And what cause|strong="H7379" soever shall come|strong="H0935" to you of your brethren|strong="H0251" that dwell|strong="H3427" in their cities|strong="H5892", between blood|strong="H1818" and blood|strong="H1818", between law|strong="H8451" and commandment|strong="H4687", statutes|strong="H2706" and judgments|strong="H4941", ye shall even warn|strong="H2094" them that they trespass|strong="H0816" not against the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and so wrath|strong="H7110" come upon you, and upon your brethren|strong="H0251": this|strong="H3541" do|strong="H6213", and ye shall not trespass|strong="H0816".
10 Em todo litígio trazido à vossa presença por vossos irmãos, estabelecidos em vossas cidades, quer se trate de assassínio, de lei, de preceito ou ordenações esclarecei-os, para que não se tornem culpados diante do Senhor, e que sua ira não se inflame contra vós e contra vossos irmãos. Agi dessa maneira para não vos tornardes culpados.
11 And, behold, Amariah|strong="H0568" the chief|strong="H7218" priest|strong="H3548" is over you in all matters|strong="H1697" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; and Zebadiah|strong="H2069" the son|strong="H1121" of Ishmael|strong="H3458", the ruler|strong="H5057" of the house|strong="H1004" of Judah|strong="H3063", for all the king’s|strong="H4428" matters|strong="H1697": also the Levites|strong="H3881" shall be officers|strong="H7860" before|strong="H6440" you. Deal|strong="H6213" courageously|strong="H2388", and the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* shall be with the good|strong="H2896".
11 Tendes à vossa frente o sumo sacerdote Amarias, para todos os assuntos religiosos, e Zabadias, filho de Ismael, príncipe da casa de Judá, para todos os negócios civis. Tereis à vossa disposição levitas, na qualidade de escribas. Cobrai ânimo, portanto, e ao trabalho! Esteja o Senhor com o homem de bem!
