1 And Jehoshaphat|strong="H3092" his son|strong="H1121" reigned|strong="H4427" in his stead, and strengthened|strong="H2388" himself against Israel|strong="H3478".
1 E Josafá, o seu filho, reinou em seu lugar, e fortaleceu-se contra Israel.
2 And he placed|strong="H5414" forces|strong="H2428" in all the fenced|strong="H1219" cities|strong="H5892" of Judah|strong="H3063", and set|strong="H5414" garrisons|strong="H5333" in the land|strong="H0776" of Judah|strong="H3063", and in the cities|strong="H5892" of Ephraim|strong="H0669", which Asa|strong="H0609" his father|strong="H0001" had taken|strong="H3920".
2 E ele posicionou forças em todas as cidades fortificadas de Judá, e pôs guarnições na terra de Judá, e nas cidades de Efraim, que Asa, o seu pai, havia tomado.
3 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* was with Jehoshaphat|strong="H3092", because he walked|strong="H1980" in the first|strong="H7223" ways|strong="H1870" of his father|strong="H0001" David|strong="H1732", and sought|strong="H1875" not unto Baalim|strong="H1168";
3 E o SENHOR esteve com Josafá, porque ele andou nos primeiros caminhos do seu pai Davi, e não buscou aos baalins;
4 But sought|strong="H1875" to the \+nd Lord\+nd* God|strong="H0430" of his father|strong="H0001", and walked|strong="H1980" in his commandments|strong="H4687", and not after the doings|strong="H4639" of Israel|strong="H3478".
4 mas buscou o SENHOR Deus do seu pai, e andou nos seus mandamentos, e não segundo as obras de Israel.
5 Therefore the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* stablished|strong="H3559" the kingdom|strong="H4467" in his hand|strong="H3027"; and all Judah|strong="H3063" brought|strong="H5414" to Jehoshaphat|strong="H3092" presents|strong="H4503"; and he had riches|strong="H6239" and honour|strong="H3519" in abundance|strong="H7230".
5 Por isso, o SENHOR estabeleceu o reino de Israel na sua mão; e todo o Judá trazia a Josafá presentes; e ele tinha honra e riquezas em abundância.
6 And his heart|strong="H3820" was lifted up|strong="H1361" in the ways|strong="H1870" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: moreover he took away|strong="H5493" the high places|strong="H1116" and groves|strong="H0842" out of Judah|strong="H3063".
6 E o seu coração estava exaltado nos caminhos do SENHOR; ainda mais ele removeu os lugares altos e os bosques de Judá.
7 Also in the third|strong="H7969" year|strong="H8141" of his reign|strong="H4427" he sent|strong="H7971" to his princes|strong="H8269", even to Ben-hail|strong="H1134", and to Obadiah|strong="H5662", and to Zechariah|strong="H2148", and to Nethaneel|strong="H5417", and to Michaiah|strong="H4322", to teach|strong="H3925" in the cities|strong="H5892" of Judah|strong="H3063".
7 Além disso, no terceiro ano do seu reinado ele enviou os seus príncipes, a saber: a Ben-Hail, e a Obadias, e a Zacarias, e a Natanael, e a Micaías; para ensinarem nas cidades de Judá.
8 And with them he sent Levites|strong="H3881", even Shemaiah|strong="H8098", and Nethaniah|strong="H5418", and Zebadiah|strong="H2069", and Asahel|strong="H6214", and Shemiramoth|strong="H8070", and Jehonathan|strong="H3083", and Adonijah|strong="H0138", and Tobijah|strong="H2900", and Tob-adonijah|strong="H2899", Levites|strong="H3881"; and with them Elishama|strong="H0476" and Jehoram|strong="H3088", priests|strong="H3548".
8 E com eles, enviou os levitas, a saber: Semaías, e Netanias, e Zebadias, e Asael, e Semiramote, e Jônatas, e Adonias, e Tobias, e Tobe-Adonias, e com estes levitas os sacerdotes, Elisama e Jeroão.
9 And they taught|strong="H3925" in Judah|strong="H3063", and had the book|strong="H5612" of the law|strong="H8451" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* with them, and went about|strong="H5437" throughout all the cities|strong="H5892" of Judah|strong="H3063", and taught|strong="H3925" the people|strong="H5971".
9 E eles ensinaram em Judá, e tinham o livro da lei do SENHOR consigo, e iam por todas as cidades de Judá, e ensinavam ao povo.
10 And the fear|strong="H6343" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* fell upon all the kingdoms|strong="H4467" of the lands|strong="H0776" that were round about|strong="H5439" Judah|strong="H3063", so that they made no war|strong="H3898" against Jehoshaphat|strong="H3092".
10 E o temor do SENHOR veio sobre todos os reinos das terras que estavam ao redor de Judá, de modo que eles não fizeram guerra contra Josafá.
11 Also some of the Philistines|strong="H6430" brought|strong="H0935" Jehoshaphat|strong="H3092" presents|strong="H4503", and tribute|strong="H4853" silver|strong="H3701"; and the Arabians|strong="H6163" brought|strong="H0935" him flocks|strong="H6629", seven|strong="H7651" thousand|strong="H0505" and seven|strong="H7651" hundred|strong="H3967" rams|strong="H0352", and seven|strong="H7651" thousand|strong="H0505" and seven|strong="H7651" hundred|strong="H3967" he goats|strong="H8495".
11 Alguns dos filisteus também traziam presentes a Josafá, e prata como tributo; e os árabes traziam-lhe rebanhos, sete mil e setecentos carneiros, e sete mil e setecentos bodes.
12 And Jehoshaphat|strong="H3092" waxed|strong="H1980" great|strong="H1432" exceedingly|strong="H4605"; and he built|strong="H1129" in Judah|strong="H3063" castles|strong="H1003", and cities|strong="H5892" of store|strong="H4543".
12 E Josafá tornou-se muitíssimo grande; e edificou fortalezas e cidades de provisões em Judá.
13 And he had much|strong="H7227" business|strong="H4399" in the cities|strong="H5892" of Judah|strong="H3063": and the men|strong="H0582" of war|strong="H4421", mighty men|strong="H1368" of valour|strong="H2428", were in Jerusalem|strong="H3389".
13 E ele tinha muitos negócios nas cidades de Judá; e os homens de guerra, homens fortes e valentes, estavam em Jerusalém.
14 And these are the numbers|strong="H6486" of them according to the house|strong="H1004" of their fathers|strong="H0001": Of Judah|strong="H3063", the captains|strong="H8269" of thousands|strong="H0505"; Adnah|strong="H5734" the chief|strong="H8269", and with him mighty men|strong="H1368" of valour|strong="H2428" three|strong="H7969" hundred|strong="H3967" thousand|strong="H0505".
14 E estes são os números deles de acordo com a casa dos seus pais: de Judá, os capitães de milhares; Adna, o chefe, e com ele trezentos mil homens fortes e valentes.
15 And next|strong="H3027" to him was Jehohanan|strong="H3076" the captain|strong="H8269", and with him two hundred|strong="H3967" and fourscore|strong="H8084" thousand|strong="H0505".
15 E ao seu lado estava capitão Joanã, e com ele duzentos e oitenta mil.
16 And next|strong="H3027" him was Amasiah|strong="H6007" the son|strong="H1121" of Zichri|strong="H2147", who willingly offered|strong="H5068" himself unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; and with him two hundred|strong="H3967" thousand|strong="H0505" mighty men|strong="H1368" of valour|strong="H2428".
16 E junto a ele estava Amasias, o filho de Zicri, que voluntariamente se ofereceu ao SENHOR; e com ele duzentos mil homens fortes e valentes.
17 And of Benjamin|strong="H1144"; Eliada|strong="H0450" a mighty man|strong="H1368" of valour|strong="H2428", and with him armed men|strong="H5401" with bow|strong="H7198" and shield|strong="H4043" two hundred|strong="H3967" thousand|strong="H0505".
17 E de Benjamim; Eliada, um homem forte e valente, e com ele duzentos mil homens armados com arco e escudo.
18 And next|strong="H3027" him was Jehozabad|strong="H3075", and with him an hundred|strong="H3967" and fourscore|strong="H8084" thousand|strong="H0505" ready prepared|strong="H2502" for the war|strong="H6635".
18 E ao seu lado estava Jozabade, e com ele cento e oitenta mil prontamente preparados para a guerra.
19 These waited|strong="H8334" on the king|strong="H4428", beside those whom the king|strong="H4428" put|strong="H5414" in the fenced|strong="H4013" cities|strong="H5892" throughout all Judah|strong="H3063".
19 Estes estavam no serviço do rei; afora os que o rei tinha posto nas cidades fortificadas por todo o Judá.
