2 But|strong="G0235" have renounced|strong="G0550" the hidden things|strong="G2927" of dishonesty|strong="G0152", not|strong="G3361" walking|strong="G4043" in|strong="G1722" craftiness|strong="G3834", nor|strong="G3366" handling|strong="G1389" the word|strong="G3056" of God|strong="G2316" deceitfully|strong="G1389"; but|strong="G0235" by manifestation|strong="G5321" of the truth|strong="G0225" commending|strong="G4921" ourselves|strong="G1438" to|strong="G4314" every|strong="G3956" man’s|strong="G0444" conscience|strong="G4893" in the sight of|strong="G1799" God|strong="G2316".
3 But|strong="G1161" if|strong="G1487" our|strong="G2257" gospel|strong="G2098" be hid|strong="G2572", it is|strong="G2076" hid|strong="G2572" to|strong="G1722" them|strong="G3588" that are|strong="G2076" lost|strong="G0622":
4 In|strong="G1722" whom|strong="G3739" the god|strong="G2316" of this|strong="G5127" world|strong="G0165" hath blinded|strong="G5186" the minds|strong="G3540" of them which believe not|strong="G0571", lest|strong="G3361" the light|strong="G5462" of the glorious|strong="G1391" gospel|strong="G2098" of Christ|strong="G5547", who|strong="G3739" is|strong="G2076" the image|strong="G1504" of God|strong="G2316", should shine|strong="G0826" unto them|strong="G0846".
5 For|strong="G1063" we preach|strong="G2784" not|strong="G3756" ourselves|strong="G1438", but|strong="G0235" Christ|strong="G5547" Jesus|strong="G2424" the Lord|strong="G2962"; and|strong="G1161" ourselves|strong="G1438" your|strong="G5216" servants|strong="G1401" for|strong="G1223" Jesus’ sake|strong="G2424".
6 For|strong="G3754" God|strong="G2316", who|strong="G3739" commanded|strong="G2036" the light|strong="G5457" to shine|strong="G2989" out of|strong="G1537" darkness|strong="G4655", hath shined|strong="G2989" in|strong="G1722" our|strong="G2257" hearts|strong="G2588", to|strong="G4314" give the light|strong="G5462" of the knowledge|strong="G1108" of the glory|strong="G1391" of God|strong="G2316" in|strong="G1722" the face|strong="G4383" of Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547".
7 But|strong="G1161" we have|strong="G2192" this|strong="G5126" treasure|strong="G2344" in|strong="G1722" earthen|strong="G3749" vessels|strong="G4632", that|strong="G2443" the excellency|strong="G5236" of the power|strong="G1411" may be|strong="G5600" of God|strong="G2316", and|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3361" of|strong="G1537" us|strong="G2257".
8 We are troubled|strong="G2346" on|strong="G1722" every side|strong="G3956", yet|strong="G0235" not|strong="G3756" distressed|strong="G4729"; we are perplexed|strong="G0639", but|strong="G0235" not|strong="G3756" in despair|strong="G1820";
9 Persecuted|strong="G1377", but|strong="G0235" not|strong="G3756" forsaken|strong="G1459"; cast down|strong="G2598", but|strong="G0235" not|strong="G3756" destroyed|strong="G0622";
10 Always|strong="G3842" bearing about|strong="G4064" in|strong="G1722" the body|strong="G4983" the dying|strong="G3500" of the Lord|strong="G2962" Jesus|strong="G2424", that|strong="G2443" the life|strong="G2222" also|strong="G2532" of Jesus|strong="G2424" might be made manifest|strong="G5319" in|strong="G1722" our|strong="G2257" body|strong="G4983".
11 For|strong="G1063" we|strong="G2249" which live|strong="G2198" are alway|strong="G0104" delivered|strong="G3860" unto|strong="G1519" death|strong="G2288" for|strong="G1223" Jesus’ sake|strong="G2424", that|strong="G2443" the life|strong="G2222" also|strong="G2532" of Jesus|strong="G2424" might be made manifest|strong="G5319" in|strong="G1722" our|strong="G2257" mortal|strong="G2349" flesh|strong="G4561".
12 So then|strong="G5620" death|strong="G2288" worketh|strong="G1754" in|strong="G1722" us|strong="G2254", but|strong="G1161" life|strong="G2222" in|strong="G1722" you|strong="G5213".
13 We|strong="G2249" having|strong="G2192" the same|strong="G0846" spirit|strong="G4151" of faith|strong="G4102", according as|strong="G2596" it is written|strong="G1125", I believed|strong="G4100", and therefore|strong="G1352" have I spoken|strong="G2980"; we|strong="G4100" also|strong="G2532" believe|strong="G4100", and|strong="G2532" therefore|strong="G1352" speak|strong="G2980";
14 Knowing|strong="G1492" that|strong="G3754" he which|strong="G3588" raised up|strong="G1453" the Lord|strong="G2962" Jesus|strong="G2424" shall raise up|strong="G1453" us|strong="G2248" also|strong="G2532" by|strong="G1223" Jesus|strong="G2424", and|strong="G2532" shall present|strong="G3936" us with|strong="G4862" you|strong="G5213".
15 For|strong="G1063" all things|strong="G3956" are for|strong="G1223" your sakes|strong="G5209", that|strong="G2443" the abundant|strong="G4121" grace|strong="G5485" might|strong="G4052" through|strong="G1223" the thanksgiving|strong="G2169" of many|strong="G4119" redound|strong="G4052" to|strong="G1519" the glory|strong="G1391" of God|strong="G2316".
16 For which cause|strong="G1352" we faint|strong="G1573" not|strong="G3756"; but|strong="G0235" though|strong="G1487" our|strong="G2257" outward|strong="G1854" man|strong="G0444" perish|strong="G1311", yet|strong="G0235" the inward|strong="G2081" man is renewed|strong="G0341" day|strong="G2250" by|strong="G2532" day|strong="G2250".
17 For|strong="G1063" our|strong="G2257" light|strong="G1645" affliction|strong="G2347", which is but for a moment|strong="G3910", worketh|strong="G2716" for us|strong="G2254" a far|strong="G5236" more exceeding|strong="G5236" and eternal|strong="G0166" weight|strong="G0922" of glory|strong="G1391";
18 While we|strong="G2257" look|strong="G4648" not|strong="G3361" at the things|strong="G3588" which are seen|strong="G0991", but|strong="G0235" at the things|strong="G3588" which are|strong="G0991" not|strong="G3361" seen|strong="G0991": for|strong="G1063" the things|strong="G3588" which are seen|strong="G0991" are temporal|strong="G4340"; but|strong="G1161" the things|strong="G3588" which are|strong="G0991" not|strong="G3361" seen|strong="G0991" are eternal|strong="G0166".
