2 The elder women|strong="G4245" as|strong="G5613" mothers|strong="G3384"; the younger|strong="G3501" as|strong="G5613" sisters|strong="G0079", with|strong="G1722" all|strong="G3956" purity|strong="G0047".
3 Honour|strong="G5091" widows|strong="G5503" that are|strong="G3689" widows|strong="G5503" indeed|strong="G3689".
4 But|strong="G1161" if|strong="G1487" any|strong="G5100" widow|strong="G5503" have|strong="G2192" children|strong="G5043" or|strong="G2228" nephews|strong="G1549", let them learn|strong="G3129" first|strong="G4412" to shew piety|strong="G2151" at home|strong="G3624", and|strong="G2532" to|strong="G0591" requite|strong="G0287" their parents|strong="G4269": for|strong="G1063" that|strong="G5124" is|strong="G2076" good|strong="G2570" and|strong="G2532" acceptable|strong="G0587" before|strong="G1799" God|strong="G2316".
5 Now|strong="G1161" she that|strong="G3588" is|strong="G3689" a widow|strong="G5503" indeed|strong="G3689", and|strong="G2532" desolate|strong="G3443", trusteth|strong="G1679" in|strong="G1909" God|strong="G2316", and|strong="G2532" continueth in|strong="G4357" supplications|strong="G1162" and|strong="G2532" prayers|strong="G4335" night|strong="G3571" and|strong="G2532" day|strong="G2250".
6 But|strong="G1161" she that|strong="G3588" liveth in pleasure|strong="G4684" is dead|strong="G2348" while she liveth|strong="G2198".
7 And|strong="G2532" these things|strong="G5023" give in charge|strong="G3853", that|strong="G2443" they may be|strong="G5600" blameless|strong="G0423".
8 But|strong="G1161" if|strong="G1487" any|strong="G5100" provide|strong="G4306" not|strong="G3756" for|strong="G4306" his own|strong="G2398", and|strong="G2532" specially|strong="G3122" for those of his own house|strong="G3609", he hath denied|strong="G0720" the faith|strong="G4102", and|strong="G2532" is|strong="G2076" worse|strong="G5501" than an infidel|strong="G0571".
9 Let|strong="G2639" not|strong="G3361" a widow|strong="G5503" be taken into the number|strong="G2639" under|strong="G1640" threescore|strong="G1835" years old|strong="G2094", having been|strong="G1096" the wife|strong="G1135" of one|strong="G1520" man|strong="G0435",
10 Well reported of|strong="G3140" for|strong="G1722" good|strong="G2570" works|strong="G2041"; if|strong="G1487" she have brought up children|strong="G5044", if|strong="G1487" she have lodged strangers|strong="G3580", if|strong="G1487" she have washed|strong="G3538" the saints’|strong="G0040" feet|strong="G4228", if|strong="G1487" she have relieved|strong="G1884" the afflicted|strong="G2346", if|strong="G1487" she have diligently followed|strong="G1872" every|strong="G3956" good|strong="G0018" work|strong="G2041".
11 But|strong="G1161" the younger|strong="G3501" widows|strong="G5503" refuse|strong="G3868": for|strong="G1063" when|strong="G3752" they have begun to wax wanton against|strong="G2691" Christ|strong="G5547", they will|strong="G2309" marry|strong="G1060";
12 Having|strong="G2192" damnation|strong="G2917", because|strong="G3754" they have cast off|strong="G0114" their|strong="G3588" first|strong="G4413" faith|strong="G4102".
13 And|strong="G1161" withal|strong="G0260" they learn|strong="G3129" to be idle|strong="G0692", wandering about|strong="G4022" from house to house|strong="G3614"; and|strong="G1161" not|strong="G3756" only|strong="G3440" idle|strong="G0692", but|strong="G0235" tattlers|strong="G5397" also|strong="G2532" and|strong="G2532" busybodies|strong="G4021", speaking|strong="G2980" things which|strong="G3588" they ought|strong="G1163" not|strong="G3361".
14 I will|strong="G1014" therefore|strong="G3767" that|strong="G1060" the younger women|strong="G3501" marry|strong="G1060", bear children|strong="G5041", guide the house|strong="G3616", give|strong="G1325" none|strong="G3367" occasion|strong="G0874" to the adversary|strong="G0480" to speak reproachfully|strong="G3059".
15 For|strong="G1063" some|strong="G5100" are|strong="G1624" already|strong="G2235" turned aside|strong="G1624" after|strong="G3694" Satan|strong="G4567".
16 If|strong="G1487" any|strong="G5100" man|strong="G4103" or|strong="G2228" woman|strong="G4103" that believeth|strong="G4103" have|strong="G2192" widows|strong="G5503", let them relieve|strong="G1884" them|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" let|strong="G0916" not|strong="G3361" the church|strong="G1577" be charged|strong="G0916"; that|strong="G2443" it may relieve|strong="G1884" them that|strong="G3588" are|strong="G3689" widows|strong="G5503" indeed|strong="G3689".
17 Let|strong="G0515" the elders|strong="G4245" that rule|strong="G4291" well|strong="G2573" be counted worthy|strong="G0515" of double|strong="G1362" honour|strong="G5092", especially|strong="G3122" they who labour|strong="G2872" in|strong="G1722" the word|strong="G3056" and|strong="G2532" doctrine|strong="G1319".
18 For|strong="G1063" the scripture|strong="G1124" saith|strong="G3004", Thou shalt|strong="G5392" not|strong="G3756" muzzle|strong="G5392" the ox|strong="G1016" that treadeth out the corn|strong="G0248". And|strong="G2532", The labourer|strong="G2040" is worthy|strong="G0514" of his|strong="G0846" reward|strong="G3408".
