10 Durante o reinado de Saul, os rubenitas guerrearam contra os hagarenos e os derrotaram. Então passaram a viver nos acampamentos deles em toda a região a leste de Gileade.

12 Joel foi o chefe na terra de Basã, e Safã, o segundo no poder, seguido de Janai e Safate.
13 And their brethren|strong="H0251" of the house|strong="H1004" of their fathers|strong="H0001" were, Michael|strong="H4317", and Meshullam|strong="H4918", and Sheba|strong="H7652", and Jorai|strong="H3140", and Jachan|strong="H3275", and Zia|strong="H2127", and Heber|strong="H5677", seven|strong="H7651".
13 Seus parentes, chefes de outros sete clãs, foram: Micael, Mesulão, Seba, Jorai, Jacã, Zia e Héber.

16 And they dwelt|strong="H3427" in Gilead|strong="H1568" in Bashan|strong="H1316", and in her towns|strong="H1323", and in all the suburbs|strong="H4054" of Sharon|strong="H8289", upon their borders|strong="H8444".

17 All these were reckoned by genealogies|strong="H3187" in the days|strong="H3117" of Jotham|strong="H3147" king|strong="H4428" of Judah|strong="H3063", and in the days|strong="H3117" of Jeroboam|strong="H3379" king|strong="H4428" of Israel|strong="H3478".

18 The sons|strong="H1121" of Reuben|strong="H7205", and the Gadites|strong="H1425", and half|strong="H2677" the tribe|strong="H7626" of Manasseh|strong="H4519", of valiant men|strong="H2428", men|strong="H0582" able to bear|strong="H5375" buckler|strong="H4043" and sword|strong="H2719", and to shoot|strong="H1869" with bow|strong="H7198", and skilful|strong="H3925" in war|strong="H4421", were four|strong="H0702" and forty|strong="H0705" thousand|strong="H0505" seven|strong="H7651" hundred|strong="H3967" and threescore|strong="H8346", that went out|strong="H3318" to the war|strong="H6635".
18 Havia 44.760 homens aptos para a guerra nos exércitos de Rúben e Gade e da meia tribo de Manassés. Eram todos hábeis no combate e armados com escudos, espadas e arcos.
19 And they made|strong="H6213" war|strong="H4421" with the Hagarites|strong="H1905", with Jetur|strong="H3195", and Nephish|strong="H5305", and Nodab|strong="H5114".
19 Guerrearam contra os hagarenos e contra Jetur, Nafis e Nodabe.
20 And they were helped|strong="H5826" against them, and the Hagarites|strong="H1905" were delivered|strong="H5414" into their hand|strong="H3027", and all that were with them: for they cried|strong="H2199" to God|strong="H0430" in the battle|strong="H4421", and he was intreated|strong="H6279" of them; because they put their trust|strong="H0982" in him.
20 Durante a batalha, clamaram a Deus e ele atendeu às suas orações, pois confiaram nele. Assim, os hagarenos e todos os seus aliados foram derrotados.

21 Tomaram dos hagarenos como despojo 50 mil camelos, 250 mil ovelhas e 2 mil jumentos, e fizeram 100 mil prisioneiros.
22 For there fell|strong="H5307" down many|strong="H7227" slain|strong="H2491", because the war|strong="H4421" was of God|strong="H0430". And they dwelt|strong="H3427" in their steads until the captivity|strong="H1473".
22 Muitos dos hagarenos foram mortos na batalha, pois Deus lutou contra eles. As tribos se estabeleceram na terra deles, até que foram levadas para o exílio.
23 And the children|strong="H1121" of the half|strong="H2677" tribe|strong="H7626" of Manasseh|strong="H4519" dwelt|strong="H3427" in the land|strong="H0776": they increased|strong="H7235" from Bashan|strong="H1316" unto Baal-hermon|strong="H1179" and Senir|strong="H8149", and unto mount|strong="H2022" Hermon|strong="H2768".
23 A meia tribo de Manassés era numerosa e se espalhou por toda a terra, desde Basã até Baal-Hermom, Senir e o monte Hermom.
24 And these were the heads|strong="H7218" of the house|strong="H1004" of their fathers|strong="H0001", even Epher|strong="H6081", and Ishi|strong="H3469", and Eliel|strong="H0447", and Azriel|strong="H5837", and Jeremiah|strong="H3414", and Hodaviah|strong="H1938", and Jahdiel|strong="H3164", mighty|strong="H1368" men|strong="H0582" of valour|strong="H2428", famous|strong="H8034" men|strong="H0582", and heads|strong="H7218" of the house|strong="H1004" of their fathers|strong="H0001".
24 Os chefes de seus clãs foram: Éfer, Isi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremias, Hodavias e Jadiel. Esses homens foram guerreiros valentes de grande reputação e chefes de seus clãs.
25 And they transgressed|strong="H4603" against the God|strong="H0430" of their fathers|strong="H0001", and went a whoring|strong="H2181" after|strong="H0310" the gods|strong="H0430" of the people|strong="H5971" of the land|strong="H0776", whom God|strong="H0430" destroyed|strong="H8045" before|strong="H6440" them.
25 Contudo, essas tribos foram infiéis ao Deus de seus antepassados. Adoraram os deuses das nações que Deus havia destruído diante deles.
26 And the God|strong="H0430" of Israel|strong="H3478" stirred up|strong="H5782" the spirit|strong="H7307" of Pul|strong="H6322" king|strong="H4428" of Assyria|strong="H0804", and the spirit|strong="H7307" of Tilgath-pilneser|strong="H8407" king|strong="H4428" of Assyria|strong="H0804", and he carried them away|strong="H1540", even the Reubenites|strong="H7206", and the Gadites|strong="H1425", and the half|strong="H2677" tribe|strong="H7626" of Manasseh|strong="H4519", and brought|strong="H0935" them unto Halah|strong="H2477", and Habor|strong="H2249", and Hara|strong="H2024", and to the river|strong="H5104" Gozan|strong="H1470", unto this day|strong="H3117".
26 Por isso, o Deus de Israel fez Pul, rei da Assíria, também conhecido como Tiglate-Pileser, invadir a terra e levar cativos os membros das tribos de Rúben e Gade e da meia tribo de Manassés. Os assírios os deportaram para Hala, Habor, Hara e para o rio Gozã, onde estão até hoje.
