2 For Judah|strong="H3063" prevailed|strong="H1396" above his brethren|strong="H0251", and of him came the chief ruler|strong="H5057"; but the birthright|strong="H1062" was Joseph’s|strong="H3130":)

4 The sons|strong="H1121" of Joel|strong="H3100"; Shemaiah|strong="H8098" his son|strong="H1121", Gog|strong="H1463" his son|strong="H1121", Shimei|strong="H8096" his son|strong="H1121",
5 Micah|strong="H4318" his son|strong="H1121", Reaia|strong="H7211" his son|strong="H1121", Baal|strong="H1168" his son|strong="H1121",
6 Beerah|strong="H0880" his son|strong="H1121", whom Tilgath-pilneser|strong="H8407" king|strong="H4428" of Assyria|strong="H0804" carried away|strong="H1540" captive: he was prince|strong="H5387" of the Reubenites|strong="H7206".

9 And eastward|strong="H4217" he inhabited|strong="H3427" unto the entering|strong="H0935" in of the wilderness|strong="H4057" from the river|strong="H5104" Euphrates|strong="H6578": because their cattle|strong="H4735" were multiplied|strong="H7235" in the land|strong="H0776" of Gilead|strong="H1568".
10 And in the days|strong="H3117" of Saul|strong="H7586" they made|strong="H6213" war|strong="H4421" with the Hagarites|strong="H1905", who fell|strong="H5307" by their hand|strong="H3027": and they dwelt|strong="H3427" in their tents|strong="H0168" throughout|strong="H6440" all the east|strong="H4217" land of Gilead|strong="H1568".
11 And the children|strong="H1121" of Gad|strong="H1410" dwelt|strong="H3427" over against them, in the land|strong="H0776" of Bashan|strong="H1316" unto Salchah|strong="H5548":
12 Joel|strong="H3100" the chief|strong="H7218", and Shapham|strong="H8223" the next|strong="H4932", and Jaanai|strong="H3285", and Shaphat|strong="H8202" in Bashan|strong="H1316".
13 And their brethren|strong="H0251" of the house|strong="H1004" of their fathers|strong="H0001" were, Michael|strong="H4317", and Meshullam|strong="H4918", and Sheba|strong="H7652", and Jorai|strong="H3140", and Jachan|strong="H3275", and Zia|strong="H2127", and Heber|strong="H5677", seven|strong="H7651".

15 Ahi|strong="H0277" the son|strong="H1121" of Abdiel|strong="H5661", the son|strong="H1121" of Guni|strong="H1476", chief|strong="H7218" of the house|strong="H1004" of their fathers|strong="H0001".
16 And they dwelt|strong="H3427" in Gilead|strong="H1568" in Bashan|strong="H1316", and in her towns|strong="H1323", and in all the suburbs|strong="H4054" of Sharon|strong="H8289", upon their borders|strong="H8444".
17 All these were reckoned by genealogies|strong="H3187" in the days|strong="H3117" of Jotham|strong="H3147" king|strong="H4428" of Judah|strong="H3063", and in the days|strong="H3117" of Jeroboam|strong="H3379" king|strong="H4428" of Israel|strong="H3478".
18 The sons|strong="H1121" of Reuben|strong="H7205", and the Gadites|strong="H1425", and half|strong="H2677" the tribe|strong="H7626" of Manasseh|strong="H4519", of valiant men|strong="H2428", men|strong="H0582" able to bear|strong="H5375" buckler|strong="H4043" and sword|strong="H2719", and to shoot|strong="H1869" with bow|strong="H7198", and skilful|strong="H3925" in war|strong="H4421", were four|strong="H0702" and forty|strong="H0705" thousand|strong="H0505" seven|strong="H7651" hundred|strong="H3967" and threescore|strong="H8346", that went out|strong="H3318" to the war|strong="H6635".
19 And they made|strong="H6213" war|strong="H4421" with the Hagarites|strong="H1905", with Jetur|strong="H3195", and Nephish|strong="H5305", and Nodab|strong="H5114".
20 And they were helped|strong="H5826" against them, and the Hagarites|strong="H1905" were delivered|strong="H5414" into their hand|strong="H3027", and all that were with them: for they cried|strong="H2199" to God|strong="H0430" in the battle|strong="H4421", and he was intreated|strong="H6279" of them; because they put their trust|strong="H0982" in him.
21 And they took away|strong="H7617" their cattle|strong="H4735"; of their camels|strong="H1581" fifty|strong="H2572" thousand|strong="H0505", and of sheep|strong="H6629" two hundred|strong="H3967" and fifty|strong="H2572" thousand|strong="H0505", and of asses|strong="H2543" two thousand|strong="H0505", and of men|strong="H0120" an hundred|strong="H3967" thousand|strong="H0505".
22 For there fell|strong="H5307" down many|strong="H7227" slain|strong="H2491", because the war|strong="H4421" was of God|strong="H0430". And they dwelt|strong="H3427" in their steads until the captivity|strong="H1473".
23 And the children|strong="H1121" of the half|strong="H2677" tribe|strong="H7626" of Manasseh|strong="H4519" dwelt|strong="H3427" in the land|strong="H0776": they increased|strong="H7235" from Bashan|strong="H1316" unto Baal-hermon|strong="H1179" and Senir|strong="H8149", and unto mount|strong="H2022" Hermon|strong="H2768".
24 And these were the heads|strong="H7218" of the house|strong="H1004" of their fathers|strong="H0001", even Epher|strong="H6081", and Ishi|strong="H3469", and Eliel|strong="H0447", and Azriel|strong="H5837", and Jeremiah|strong="H3414", and Hodaviah|strong="H1938", and Jahdiel|strong="H3164", mighty|strong="H1368" men|strong="H0582" of valour|strong="H2428", famous|strong="H8034" men|strong="H0582", and heads|strong="H7218" of the house|strong="H1004" of their fathers|strong="H0001".
25 And they transgressed|strong="H4603" against the God|strong="H0430" of their fathers|strong="H0001", and went a whoring|strong="H2181" after|strong="H0310" the gods|strong="H0430" of the people|strong="H5971" of the land|strong="H0776", whom God|strong="H0430" destroyed|strong="H8045" before|strong="H6440" them.
26 And the God|strong="H0430" of Israel|strong="H3478" stirred up|strong="H5782" the spirit|strong="H7307" of Pul|strong="H6322" king|strong="H4428" of Assyria|strong="H0804", and the spirit|strong="H7307" of Tilgath-pilneser|strong="H8407" king|strong="H4428" of Assyria|strong="H0804", and he carried them away|strong="H1540", even the Reubenites|strong="H7206", and the Gadites|strong="H1425", and the half|strong="H2677" tribe|strong="H7626" of Manasseh|strong="H4519", and brought|strong="H0935" them unto Halah|strong="H2477", and Habor|strong="H2249", and Hara|strong="H2024", and to the river|strong="H5104" Gozan|strong="H1470", unto this day|strong="H3117".
