1 And summoning His twelve disciples, He gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every illness.
1 E ele chamando a si os seus doze discípulos, deu-lhes poder contra os espíritos imundos, para os expulsarem, e para curarem toda espécie de doenças e toda espécie de enfermidades.
2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon, who was called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the [son] of Zebedee, and John his brother;
2 Ora, os nomes dos doze apóstolos são estes: O primeiro, Simão, chamado Pedro, e André, seu irmão; Tiago, filho de Zebedeu, e João, seu irmão;
3 Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the [son] of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, who was surnamed Thaddaeus;
3 Filipe e Bartolomeu; Tomé e Mateus, o publicano; Tiago, filho de Alfeu, e Lebeu, cujo sobrenome era Tadeu;
4 Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him.
4 Simão, o cananita, e Judas Iscariotes, quem também o traiu.
5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, commanding them, saying, "Do not go in the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter [any] city of the Samaritans.
5 Estes Doze Jesus enviou, dando-lhes ordens, dizendo: Não ireis pelo caminho dos gentios, e não entreis em nenhuma cidade samaritana.
6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
6 Mas ide antes às ovelhas perdidas da casa de Israel.
7 And as you go, preach, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.'
7 E, enquanto forem, pregai, dizendo: O reino do céu tem-se aproximado.
8 "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
8 Curai os enfermos, purificai os leprosos, ressuscitai os mortos, expulsai os demônios; de graça recebestes, de graça dai.
9 Do not acquire gold nor silver nor copper in your money belts,
9 Não provisioneis ouro, nem prata, nem cobre, nos vossos cintos,
10 not a knapsack for the road, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; for a worker is worthy of his food.
10 nem alforje para sua jornada, nem duas túnicas, nem calçados, nem bordões; porque digno é o trabalhador do seu alimento.
11 And whatever city or village you enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and stay there until you go out.
11 E, em qualquer cidade ou aldeia em que entrardes, investigai quem nela é digno, e ali vos hospedeis até prosseguirdes.
12 And as you enter into a household, greet it.
12 E, quando entrardes em uma casa, saudai-a;
13 And if indeed the house should be worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it should not be worthy, let your peace return to you.
13 E, se a casa for digna, deixai sobre ela a vossa paz; mas, se não for digna, torne para vós a vossa paz.
14 And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.
14 E, todo aquele que não vos receber, nem ouvir as vossas palavras, quando vos partirdes daquela casa ou cidade, sacudi a poeira dos vossos pés.
15 Assuredly I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!
15 Na verdade eu vos digo que, no dia do juízo, haverá mais tolerância para a terra de Sodoma e Gomorra do que para aquela cidade.
16 "Behold, I am sending you forth like sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be as wise as serpents and innocent as doves.
16 Eis que eu vos envio como ovelhas ao meio de lobos; portanto, sede sensatos como as serpentes e inofensivos como as pombas.
17 But beware of men, for they will hand you over to councils and they will flog you in their synagogues.
17 Mas cuidado com os homens; porque eles vos entregarão aos concílios, e vos açoitarão nas suas sinagogas;
18 And you will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the nations.
18 e sereis levados à presença dos governadores e dos reis, por causa de mim, como testemunho contra eles e os gentios.
19 But whenever they hand you over, do not worry how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak;
19 Mas quando vos entregarem, não cuideis de como ou o que haveis de falar, pois naquela hora vos será dado o que haveis de dizer.
20 for you are not the [ones] speaking, but the Spirit of your Father who is speaking in you.
20 Porque não sois vós que falais, mas é o Espírito de vosso Pai que fala em vós.
21 Now brother will hand over brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents, and put them to death.
21 E o irmão entregará à morte o irmão, e o pai o filho; e os filhos se levantarão contra os seus pais, e os colocarão para a morte.
22 And you will be hated by all [people ]for My name's sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
22 E sereis odiados de todos os homens por causa do meu nome; mas aquele que perseverar até o fim será salvo.
23 But whenever they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For assuredly I say to you, by no means will you have gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes.
23 Quando vos perseguirem nesta cidade, fugi para outra; porque em verdade eu vos digo que não tereis percorrido as cidades de Israel sem que venha o Filho do homem.
24 A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master.
24 O discípulo não está acima de seu mestre, nem o servo acima de seu senhor.
25 It is enough for a disciple that he become like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call his household members!
25 Basta ao discípulo ser como o seu mestre, e ao servo como seu senhor. Se chamaram Belzebu ao mestre da casa, quanto mais chamarão aos de sua casa?
26 Therefore do not fear them. For nothing is concealed that shall not be unveiled, and secret that shall not be made known.
26 Portanto, não os temais; porque nada há encoberto que não venha a ser revelado, nem oculto que não venha a ser conhecido.
27 "What I say to you in the dark, say in the light; and what you hear in the ear, proclaim on the housetops.
27 O que eu vos digo às escuras, falai-o à plena luz; e o que ouvirdes no ouvido pregai-o sobre os telhados.
28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both the soul and the body in hell.
28 E não temais os que matam o corpo, mas não podem matar a alma; temei antes aquele que pode destruir tanto a alma como o corpo no inferno.
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them shall fall on the ground apart from the [will] of your Father.
29 Não se vendem dois pardais por um asse? E nenhum deles cairá em terra sem vosso Pai.
30 But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.
30 Mas os próprios cabelos da vossa cabeça estão todos contados.
31 Therefore do not fear; you are worth more than many sparrows.
31 Portanto, não temais; mais valeis vós do que muitos pardais.
32 "Therefore whoever who will confess Me before men, I also will confess Him before My Father who is in heaven.
32 Portanto, qualquer que me confessar diante dos homens, eu também o confessarei diante de meu Pai que está no céu.
33 But whoever denies Me before men, I also will deny him before My Father who is in heaven.
33 Mas qualquer que me negar diante dos homens, eu também o negarei diante de meu Pai que está no céu.
34 "Do not suppose that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
34 Não penseis que eu vim trazer paz à terra; eu não vim trazer paz, mas espada.
35 For I have come to 'turn a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law';
35 Porque eu vim pôr um homem em desacordo contra seu pai, e a filha contra sua mãe, e a nora contra sua sogra.
36 and 'a man's enemies [will be] his own household members.'
36 E os inimigos de um homem serão os da sua própria casa.
37 He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.
37 O que ama o pai ou a mãe mais do que a mim não é digno de mim; e o que ama o filho ou a filha mais do que a mim não é digno de mim.
38 And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.
38 E o que não toma a sua cruz e segue após mim, não é digno de mim.
39 He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.
39 O que encontrar a sua vida, perdê-la-á, e o que perder a sua vida por minha causa, encontra-la-á.
40 "He that receives you receives Me, and he that receives Me receives Him who sent Me.
40 O que vos recebe, a mim me recebe; e o que me recebe, recebe aquele que me enviou.
41 He that receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward. And he that receives a righteous [man] in the name of a righteous [man] shall receive a righteous [man's] reward.
41 O que recebe um profeta em nome de um profeta, receberá recompensa de profeta; e quem recebe um homem justo em nome de um homem justo, receberá recompensa de um homem justo.
42 And whoever gives one of these little [ones] only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward."
42 E todo o que der de beber ainda que seja um copo de água fria a um destes pequeninos apenas em nome de um discípulo, em verdade eu vos digo que de modo algum perderá a sua recompensa.
