¹ And working together [with Him,] we also urge that you not receive the grace of God in vain.

¹ E nós, cooperando também com ele, vos exortamos a que não recebais a graça de Deus em vão

² For He says: "In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you."Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

² (Porque diz:Ouvi-te em tempo aceitável e socorri-te no dia da salvação;eis aqui agora o tempo aceitável, eis aqui agora o dia da salvação).

³ We give no occasion for offense in anything, lest the ministry be blamed,

³ Não dando nós escândalo em coisa alguma, para que o nosso ministério não seja censurado;

⁴ but in everything commending ourselves as ministers of God: in much endurance, in tribulations, in hardships, in distresses,

⁴ Antes, como ministros de Deus, tornando-nos recomendáveis em tudo; na muita paciência, nas aflições, nas necessidades, nas angústias,

⁵ in stripes, in imprisonments, in disturbances, in labors, in sleepless nights, in fastings;

⁵ Nos açoites, nas prisões, nos tumultos, nos trabalhos, nas vigílias, nos jejuns,

⁶ in purity, in knowledge, in longsuffering, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in sincere love,

⁶ Na pureza, na ciência, na longanimidade, na benignidade, no Espírito Santo, no amor não fingido,

⁷ through the word of truth, through the power of God, through the weapons of righteousness on the right hand and on the left hand,

⁷ Na palavra da verdade, no poder de Deus, pelas armas da justiça, à direita e à esquerda,

⁸ by honor and dishonor, by ill repute and good repute; as deceivers, and yet true;

⁸ Por honra e por desonra, por infâmia e por boa fama; como enganadores, e sendo verdadeiros;

⁹ as being unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold, we live; as being disciplined, and not being put to death;

⁹ Como desconhecidos, mas sendo bem conhecidos; como morrendo, e eis que vivemos; como castigados, e não mortos;

¹⁰ as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

¹⁰ Como contristados, mas sempre alegres; como pobres, mas enriquecendo a muitos; como nada tendo, e possuindo tudo.

¹¹ O Corinthians! We have spoken openly to you, our heart has been opened wide.

¹¹ Ó coríntios, a nossa boca está aberta para vós, o nosso coração está dilatado.

¹² You are not restricted by us, but you are restricted by your own affections.

¹² Não estais estreitados em nós; mas estais estreitados nos vossos próprios afetos.

¹³ Now in return for the same-I speak as to children-you also be opened wide.

¹³ Ora, em recompensa disto, (falo como a filhos) dilatai-vos também vós.

¹⁴ Do not become unequally yoked with unbelievers; for what participation is there for righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion is there for light with darkness?

¹⁴ Não vos prendais a um jugo desigual com os infiéis; porque, que sociedade tem a justiça com a injustiça? E que comunhão tem a luz com as trevas?

¹⁵ And what agreement is there for Christ with Belial? Or what part is there for a believer with an infidel?

¹⁵ E que concórdia há entre Cristo e Belial? Ou que parte tem o fiel com o infiel?

¹⁶ And what union is there for the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God, just as God has said: "I will dwell in them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people."

¹⁶ E que consenso tem o templo de Deus com os ídolos? Porque vós sois o templo do Deus vivente, como Deus disse: Neles habitarei, e entre eles andarei; e eu serei o seu Deus e eles serão o meu povo.

¹⁷ Therefore "Come out from the midst of them and be separated,"says the Lord. "Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you."

¹⁷ Por isso saí do meio deles, e apartai-vos, diz o Senhor;E não toqueis nada imundo,E eu vos receberei;

¹⁸ "I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters, says the LORD Almighty."

¹⁸ E eu serei para vós Pai,E vós sereis para mim filhos e filhas, Diz o Senhor Todo-Poderoso.
