1 We may fear then, lest ever, being left a promise to enter into the rest of him, should seem any one from you to have failed.
1 Portanto, visto que nos foi deixada a promessa de entrar no descanso de Deus, tenhamos cuidado para não parecer que algum de vocês deixou de alcançá-la.
2 Also for we were having been addressed with glad tidings, even as also they; but not did profit the word of the hearing them, not having seen been mixed with the faith to those hearing.
2 Porque também a nós foram anunciadas as boas-novas, exatamente como aconteceu com eles. Mas a palavra que eles ouviram não lhes trouxe proveito, porque não foram unidos por meio da fé com aqueles que a ouviram.
3 We enter for into the rest those having believed, as he has said: So I swore in the wrath of me: If they shall enter into the rest of me; namely from the works from a laying down of a world having been done.
3 Nós, porém, que cremos, entramos no descanso, conforme Deus disse: “Assim, jurei na minha ira: ‘Não entrarão no meu descanso.’” Ele disse isso, mesmo que as obras já estivessem concluídas desde a fundação do mundo.
4 It has been spoken for somewhere concerning the seventh thus: And rested the God in the day the seventh from all of the works of himself;
4 Porque, em certo lugar, assim disse a respeito do sétimo dia: “No sétimo dia, Deus descansou de todas as obras que tinha feito.”
5 and in this again: If they shall enter into the rest of me.
5 E, novamente, no mesmo lugar: “Não entrarão no meu descanso.”
6 Since then it is left some to enter into her, and those formerly having received glad tidings not entered on account of unbelief;
6 Visto, portanto, que resta entrarem alguns naquele descanso e que, por causa da desobediência, não entraram aqueles aos quais anteriormente foram anunciadas as boas-novas,
7 again certain he defines a day, Today by David, saying, after so long a time; (as it has been said;) Today, if the voice of him you may hear, not harden you the hearts of you.
7 de novo, determina certo dia, “hoje”, falando por Davi, muito tempo depois, segundo antes tinha sido declarado: “Hoje, se ouvirem a sua voz, não endureçam o coração.”
8 If for them Jesus caused to rest, not would concerning another have spoken after these of a day.
8 Ora, se Josué lhes tivesse dado descanso, não falaria, posteriormente, a respeito de outro dia.
9 Therefore remains a keeping of a sabbath for the people of the God.
9 Portanto, resta um repouso sabático para o povo de Deus.
10 The for one having entered into the rest of him, also himself caused to rest from the works of himself, like as from the own the God.
10 Porque aquele que entrou no descanso de Deus, também ele mesmo descansou de suas obras, como Deus descansou das suas.
11 We should earnestly endeavor therefore to enter into that the rest, so that not by the same any one example may fail of the unbelief.
11 Portanto, esforcemo-nos por entrar naquele descanso, a fim de que ninguém caia, segundo aquele exemplo de desobediência.
12 Living for the word of the God, and energetic, and more cutting beyond every sword twomouthed, even cutting through to a division of life both and of breath, of joints both and of marrows, and able to judge of thoughts and of intentions of heart;
12 Porque a palavra de Deus é viva e eficaz, e mais cortante do que qualquer espada de dois gumes, e penetra até o ponto de dividir alma e espírito, juntas e medulas, e é apta para julgar os pensamentos e propósitos do coração.
13 and not is a creature out of sight in presence of him, all things but naked and having been laid open to the eyes of him, with whom for us the word.
13 E não há criatura que não seja manifesta na sua presença; pelo contrário, todas as coisas estão descobertas e expostas aos olhos daquele a quem temos de prestar contas.
14 Having therefore a highpriest great, having passed through the heavens, Jesus the son of the God, we should lay hold of the profession.
14 Tendo, pois, Jesus, o Filho de Deus, como grande sumo sacerdote que adentrou os céus, conservemos firmes a nossa confissão.
15 Not for we have a highpriest not being able to suffer with the weaknesses of us, having been tempted but in all things according to a likeness, apart from sin.
15 Porque não temos sumo sacerdote que não possa se compadecer das nossas fraquezas; pelo contrário, ele foi tentado em todas as coisas, à nossa semelhança, mas sem pecado.
16 We should come therefore with confidence to the throne of the favor, so that we may receive mercy, and favor we may find for seasonable help.
16 Portanto, aproximemo-nos do trono da graça com confiança, a fim de recebermos misericórdia e encontrarmos graça para ajuda em momento oportuno.
