1 Finally therefore, brethren, we entreat you and we exhort in Lord Jesus, as you received from us the how it behooves you to walk and to please God, so that you may abound more;
1 Finalmente, irmãos, pedimos a vocês e os exortamos no Senhor Jesus que, assim como aprenderam de nós a maneira como devem viver e agradar a Deus, e efetivamente o estão fazendo, vocês continuem progredindo cada vez mais.
2 you know for, what commands we gave to you by the Lord Jesus.
2 Porque vocês sabem quantas instruções demos a vocês da parte do Senhor Jesus.
3 This for is will of the God, the sanctification of you; to abstain you from the fornication;
3 Pois a vontade de Deus é a santificação de vocês: que se abstenham da imoralidade sexual;
4 to have known each one of you the of himself vessel to possess in satisfaction and honor,
4 que cada um de vocês saiba controlar o seu próprio corpo em santificação e honra,
5 not in passion of inordinate desire, as even the Gentiles those not knowing the God;
5 não com desejos imorais, como os gentios que não conhecem a Deus.
6 that not to overstep and cheat in the matter the brother of himself; because an avenger the Lord concerning all these things, as also we before said to you and fully testified.
6 E que, nesta matéria, ninguém ofenda nem defraude o seu irmão. Porque, contra todas estas coisas, como antes já avisamos e testificamos, o Senhor é o vingador.
7 Not for did call us the God for impurity, but in sanctification.
7 Pois Deus não nos chamou para a impureza, e sim para a santificação.
8 Therefore the one setting aside, not man sets aside, but the God, that also having given the spirit of himself the holy to us.
8 Portanto, quem rejeita estas coisas não rejeita uma pessoa, mas rejeita Deus, que também dá o seu Espírito Santo a vocês.

9 Quanto ao amor fraternal, não há necessidade de que eu lhes escreva, porque vocês mesmos foram instruídos por Deus a amar uns aos outros.
10 also for you do it to all the brethren those in whole the Macedonia. We exhort but you, brethren, to abound more;
10 E, na verdade, vocês já estão fazendo isso em relação a todos os irmãos em toda a Macedônia. Porém, irmãos, exortamos vocês a que progridam cada vez mais
11 and to strive earnestly to be quiet, and to do the things your own, and to work with the own hands of you, as to you we commanded;
11 e se empenhem por viver tranquilamente, cuidar do que é de vocês e trabalhar com as próprias mãos, como ordenamos,
12 so that you walk becomingly towards those outside, and of nothing need may have.
12 para que vocês vivam com dignidade à vista dos de fora, e não venham a precisar de nada.
13 Not we wish but you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those having fallen asleep, so that not you may grieve, as even the others those not having a hope.
13 Irmãos, não queremos que vocês ignorem a verdade a respeito dos que dormem, para que não fiquem tristes como os demais, que não têm esperança.
14 If for we believe, that Jesus died and arose, so and the God those having slept through the Jesus will lead out with him.
14 Pois, se cremos que Jesus morreu e ressuscitou, assim também Deus, mediante Jesus, trará, na companhia dele, os que dormem.
15 This for to you we may say by word of Lord, that we the living ones those being left over to the coming of the Lord, not not may precede those having slept.
15 E, pela palavra do Senhor, ainda lhes declaramos o seguinte: nós, os vivos, os que ficarmos até a vinda do Senhor, de modo nenhum precederemos os que dormem.
16 Because himself the lord with a command, with a voice of a chief messenger, and with a trumpet of God will come down from heaven, and the dead ones in Anointed will be raised first;
16 Porque o Senhor mesmo, dada a sua palavra de ordem, ouvida a voz do arcanjo e ressoada a trombeta de Deus, descerá dos céus, e os mortos em Cristo ressuscitarão primeiro;
17 afterwards we the living ones those being left over at the same time with them shall be caught away in clouds for a meeting of the Lord into air; and so always with Lord shall we be.
17 depois, nós, os vivos, os que ficarmos, seremos arrebatados juntamente com eles, entre nuvens, para o encontro com o Senhor nos ares, e, assim, estaremos para sempre com o Senhor.
18 Therefore comfort you each other in the words these.
18 Portanto, consolem uns aos outros com estas palavras.
