Darby Bible (DARBY) vs ARA
1 [To the chief Musician. Of the sons of Korah. A Psalm.] Hear this, all ye peoples; give ear, all inhabitants of the world:
1 Povos todos, escutai isto; dai ouvidos, moradores todos da terra,
2 Both men of low and men of high degree, rich and poor alike.
2 tanto plebeus como os de fina estirpe, todos juntamente, ricos e pobres.
3 My mouth shall speak wisdom, and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding:
3 Os meus lábios falarão sabedoria, e o meu coração terá pensamentos judiciosos.
4 I will incline mine ear to a parable, I will open my riddle upon the harp.
4 Inclinarei os ouvidos a uma parábola, decifrarei o meu enigma ao som da harpa.
5 Wherefore should I fear in the days of adversity, {when} the iniquity of my supplanters encompasseth me? -
5 Por que hei de eu temer nos dias da tribulação, quando me salteia a iniquidade dos que me perseguem,
6 They depend upon their wealth, and boast themselves in the abundance of their riches. ...
6 dos que confiam nos seus bens e na sua muita riqueza se gloriam?
7 None can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him,
7 Ao irmão, verdadeiramente, ninguém o pode remir, nem pagar por ele a Deus o seu resgate
8 (For the redemption of their soul is costly, and must be given up for ever,)
8 (Pois a redenção da alma deles é caríssima, e cessará a tentativa para sempre.),
9 That he should still live perpetually, {and} not see corruption.
9 para que continue a viver perpetuamente e não veja a cova;
10 For he seeth that wise men die; all alike, the fool and the brutish perish, and they leave their wealth to others.
10 porquanto vê-se morrerem os sábios e perecerem tanto o estulto como o inepto, os quais deixam a outros as suas riquezas.
11 Their inward thought is, that their houses are for ever, their dwelling-places from generation to generation: they call the lands after their own names.
11 O seu pensamento íntimo é que as suas casas serão perpétuas e, as suas moradas, para todas as gerações; chegam a dar seu próprio nome às suas terras.
12 Nevertheless, man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish.
12 Todavia, o homem não permanece em sua ostentação; é, antes, como os animais, que perecem.
13 This their way is their folly, yet they that come after them delight in their sayings. Selah.
13 Tal proceder é estultícia deles; assim mesmo os seus seguidores aplaudem o que eles dizem.
14 Like sheep are they laid in Sheol: Death feedeth on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their comeliness shall be for Sheol to consume, that there be no habitation for them.
14 Como ovelhas são postos na sepultura; a morte é o seu pastor; eles descem diretamente para a cova, onde a sua formosura se consome; a sepultura é o lugar em que habitam.
15 But God will redeem my soul from the power of Sheol: for he will receive me. Selah.
15 Mas Deus remirá a minha alma do poder da morte, pois ele me tomará para si.
16 Be not afraid when a man becometh rich, when the glory of his house is increased:
16 Não temas, quando alguém se enriquecer, quando avultar a glória de sua casa;
17 For when he dieth, he shall carry nothing away; his glory shall not descend after him.
17 pois, em morrendo, nada levará consigo, a sua glória não o acompanhará.
18 Though he blessed his soul in his lifetime, -and men will praise thee when thou doest well to thyself, -
18 Ainda que durante a vida ele se tenha lisonjeado, e ainda que o louvem quando faz o bem a si mesmo,
19 It shall go to the generation of his fathers: they shall never see light.
19 irá ter com a geração de seus pais, os quais já não verão a luz.
20 Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.
20 O homem, revestido de honrarias, mas sem entendimento, é, antes, como os animais, que perecem.
