1 The first agreement had laws about worship. And it had a holy place on earth where the agreement was kept.
1 A primeira aliança tinha leis sobre a adoração e tinha também um santuário construído por seres humanos, onde se adorava a Deus.
2 A house was made. In the first part of the house were the light, the table, and the bread of God. This first part was called the Holy Place.
2 Foi armada uma Tenda , dividida em duas partes. Na parte da frente, chamada Lugar Santo , ficavam o candelabro e a mesa com os pães oferecidos a Deus.
3 The next part of the house was called the Most Holy Place.
3 Atrás da segunda cortina ficava a parte que era chamada de Lugar Santíssimo .
4 In the Most Holy Place was a pan made of gold. In this pan a fire could burn to make a sweet-smelling smoke. The box of the agreement was also in the Most Holy Place. It was covered all over with gold. In this box were: the golden pot, which had some of the food God sent from heaven for the people in the desert; Aarons stick which grew flowers on it; and the stones which had Gods agreement written on them.
4 Ali estava colocado o altar de ouro onde era queimado o incenso, e também estava colocada a arca da aliança , toda coberta de ouro. Dentro da arca estavam a vasilha de ouro com o maná , o bastão de Arão, do qual tinham saído brotos, e as duas placas de pedra com os mandamentos escritos nelas.
5 On top of the box were the shapes of two angels. They showed that God is great. Their wings spread over the cover of the box. It was the place where God showed that he is kind. But we cannot take time to tell about every part of these things now.
5 Em cima da arca, representando a Presença Divina, estavam os querubins , com as suas asas abertas sobre o lugar onde os pecados eram perdoados. Mas agora não é o momento de explicar os detalhes dessas coisas.
6 These things were made ready. The priests always went into the first part of the house to do their work for God.
6 Depois de tudo isso ter sido preparado, os sacerdotes entram todos os dias na parte da frente da Tenda, que é o Lugar Santo, para cumprir os seus deveres religiosos.
7 But only the high priest went into the second part. And he went in only once a year. He never went in without taking blood with him. He gave the blood to God for the wrong things he had done and for the wrong things people had done.
7 Mas somente o Grande Sacerdote entra na parte de trás, que é o Lugar Santíssimo, e isso apenas uma vez por ano. Ele oferece a Deus o sangue de animais, em favor de si mesmo e também pelos pecados que o povo cometeu sem saber que estava pecando.
8 This is how the Holy Spirit showed that the way into the Most Holy Place was not yet open to everybody. It was not open as long as the first house was still standing.
8 Por meio disso tudo, o Espírito Santo nos ensina, de modo bem claro, que a entrada para o Lugar Santíssimo ainda não foi aberta enquanto a parte da frente, que é o Lugar Santo, continuar sendo usada.
9 This first part is a picture of the time we are in now. In it gifts and sacrifices are made to God. But they cannot make a persons heart clean to worship God.
9 Isso é um símbolo para hoje. Quer dizer que as ofertas e os sacrifícios de animais oferecidos a Deus não tornam perfeito o coração das pessoas que o adoram.
10 These are only things to eat and drink and different kinds of washings. They are laws made for the body until the time when everything is made right again.
10 Essas ofertas e sacrifícios têm a ver somente com comida, com bebida e com várias cerimônias de purificação . São regras externas que têm valor somente até que Deus renove todas as coisas.
11 But Christ has come as the high priest of the good things which have come. He went through a greater and better house which was not made by mens hands. It is not a part of this world.
11 Mas Cristo veio como o Grande Sacerdote das coisas boas que já estão aqui. A Tenda em que ele serve é melhor e mais perfeita e não foi construída por seres humanos, isto é, não é deste mundo.
12 He did not take the blood of goats and young cows. He took his own blood. And he went into the Most Holy Place just once. He paid for our sins and made us free for ever.
12 Quando Cristo veio e entrou, uma vez por todas, no Lugar Santíssimo , ele não levou consigo sangue de bodes ou de bezerros para oferecer como sacrifício. Pelo contrário, ele ofereceu o seu próprio sangue e conseguiu para nós a salvação eterna.
13 The priest takes the blood of bulls and goats, and the ashes from a young cow that has been burned. He puts this on the people who have done wrong things. This makes their bodies clean.
13 O sangue de bodes e de touros e as cinzas da bezerra queimada são espalhados sobre as pessoas impuras , e elas ficam purificadas por fora.
14 If the blood of animals can do that, then the blood of Christ will clean our hearts much better. Christ gave himself to God as the sacrifice. He did this by the Spirit who lives for ever. He was a perfect sacrifice. He will clean our hearts from useless acts of worship. Then we can serve the living God.
14 Se isso é assim, imaginem então quanto maior ainda é o poder do sangue de Cristo! Por meio do Espírito eterno ele se ofereceu a si mesmo a Deus como sacrifício sem defeito. E o seu sangue nos purifica por dentro, tirando as nossas culpas; assim podemos servir ao Deus vivo, pois já não praticamos cerimônias que não valem nada.
15 That is why he is the middle man of a new agreement. He died and paid for the wrong things that were done under the first agreement. Because he is a middle man, those people who are called by God can have what he promised. This will belong to them for ever.
15 Portanto, é Cristo quem consegue fazer uma nova aliança , para que os que foram chamados por Deus possam receber as bênçãos eternas que o próprio Deus prometeu. Isso pode ser feito porque houve uma morte que livrou as pessoas dos pecados que praticaram enquanto a primeira aliança estava em vigor.
16 A person can say who will get his things when he dies. He writes this agreement down. Before anyone can have them, it must be proved that the person has died.
16 Onde há um testamento , é necessário provar que a pessoa que o fez já morreu.
17 The agreement has no power until the one who made it has died. It has no power as long as the one who made it is living.
17 Pois o testamento não vale nada enquanto estiver vivo quem o fez; só depois da morte dessa pessoa é que o testamento tem valor.
18 So even the old agreement made by God was not begun without blood.
18 É por isso que a primeira aliança entrou em vigor somente com o uso do sangue de animais.
19 Moses told all the people every part of the law. Then he took the blood of young cows and goats. He put some of the blood on the book of the law itself and on all the people. He took water and red wool and a plant called hyssop.
19 Em primeiro lugar, Moisés anunciou ao povo todos os mandamentos conforme estavam na lei . Depois pegou o sangue dos bezerros e dos bodes, misturou com água e borrifou o livro da lei e todo o povo, usando lã tingida de vermelho e hissopo .
20 As he did this, he said, This is the blood for the agreement which God has made for you.
20 Então disse: “Este é o sangue que sela a aliança, que Deus mandou vocês obedecerem.”
21 In the same way, he put some of the blood on the house he had made for God, and on all the things that were used in worship.
21 Da mesma forma Moisés também borrifou sangue sobre a Tenda e sobre todos os objetos usados na adoração.
22 Yes, by the old law almost everything is made clean with blood. If no animal is killed to give blood, then there is no way for people to be forgiven for the wrong things they have done.
22 De fato, de acordo com a lei, quase tudo é purificado com sangue. E, não havendo derramamento de sangue, não há perdão de pecados.
23 These things on earth show in a little way what things in heaven are like. The things on earth had to be cleaned by the blood of animals. But the things in heaven had to be cleaned with better sacrifices than these.
23 Essas coisas, que eram cópias das realidades celestiais, deviam ser purificadas desse modo; mas as próprias coisas celestiais exigem sacrifícios bem melhores.
24 Christ did not go into a holy place made by mens hands. The holy places on earth only show in a little way what the true holy place in heaven is like. He went into heaven itself. Now he stands before God for our sake.
24 Cristo não entrou num Lugar Santo feito por seres humanos, que é a cópia do verdadeiro Lugar. Ele entrou no próprio céu, onde agora aparece na presença de Deus para pedir em nosso favor.
25 Christ did not have to offer himself as a sacrifice many times. He is not like the high priest who went into the Holy Place every year and took blood that was not his own blood.
25 O Grande Sacerdote entra, todos os anos, no Lugar Santíssimo , levando consigo sangue de um animal. Porém Cristo não entrou para se oferecer muitas vezes.
26 If Christ were like him, he would have had to die many times ever since the world was first made. But as it is now, Christ came once in the last days of the world. He came to clean away what is wrong by giving himself as a sacrifice.
26 Se fosse assim, ele teria de sofrer muitas vezes desde a criação do mundo. Pelo contrário, uma vez por todas ele apareceu agora, quando os tempos estão chegando ao fim, para tirar os pecados por meio do sacrifício de si mesmo.
27 People must die, and after that they will be judged.
27 Cada pessoa tem de morrer uma vez só e depois ser julgada por Deus.
28 So Christ gave himself as a sacrifice only once. He took on himself the wrong things many people have done. He will come a second time. But he will not come to do anything about the wrong things people have done. He will come to save those who are looking and waiting for him.
28 Assim também Cristo foi oferecido uma só vez em sacrifício, para tirar os pecados de muitas pessoas. Depois ele aparecerá pela segunda vez, não para tirar pecados, mas para salvar as pessoas que estão esperando por ele.
