1 Àwa, á mi khí mu sũnsũmámu lè mí sìíwà yi. Mi wé yí fũ̀aa sabíoní hùúu, mi yí wé nì-khàwa, mi wé yí dí yandee hùúu, mi wé yí ɲùu nùpua à yáa ɓa yènnáa.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Mi wań le Dónbeenì bíonì mí dòn làa bìo ɓa kúnkúzàwa waráa mi nuwà yoomu bìo síi, bèra a na à mi dã le Dónbeenì bìo dã́ní yi mi kã̀níló bìo yi.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Mu bon, mi zũna bìo ó o Ɲúhṹso seráa.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Mi vá ɓuee ɓúe o Yeesu yi, wón na lé le mukãnì ɓànso, na ka lòn huee na ɓa nùpua pã́ día, ká lé lerɛ́n á le Dónbeenì màhã́ léra, le bìo ɲúhṹ wi le cɔ̃́n làa sòobɛ́ɛ.
4 — ausente —
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Mu bon, bìo kà lé bìo túara le Dónbeenì bíonì vũahṹ yi: «Mi loń, ĩ léra le huee na wee ɓua ho soró dĩ̀ní, dìo bìo ɲúhṹ wi làa sòobɛ́ɛ, á à bàrá ho lóhó na ɓa le *Sion yi. Yìa á à dé mí sĩi le yi á nìyio máa dí hùúu.»
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Àwa, á minɛ́n na wã́a dó mi sĩa o Yeesu yi, minɛ́n á à yí le kɔ̃̀nbii. Ká bìa yí dó mi sĩa wo yi, á mu túara: «Le huee na ɓa so-sowa lá pã́ día lé dìo hĩ́a bĩnía ɓueé ɓuan ho soró dĩ̀nía.»
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Á mu mún túara: «Le lé le huee na wee kɔ̃kɔ̃n wán, ho ɓúaahó na wee lùwá a nùpue». Bán wee kɔ̃kɔ̃n le wán lé bìo ɓa pã́ le Dónbeenì bíonì bìo. Á bṹn lé bìo mún sã̀ ɓa yi.
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Ɛ̀ɛ ká minɛ́n bán lé mu nìpomu na léra, á lé ɓa yankarowà na bìo sã̀ a bɛ́ɛ yi.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Mi yánkaa lá yínɔń Dónbeenì nìpomu, ká hã laà na kà wán á mi wã́a lé le nìpomu. Le Dónbeenì lá yí máa wé le hii làa mia, ká hã laà na kà wán á le wee wé le làa mia.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Minɛ́n na á ĩ wa làa sòobɛ́ɛ, mi lé ɓa nì-hãní ho tá wán na khíi lé á à lɛ́n. Á ĩ wee hení mu ù na mia, à bìo ɓa nùpua sĩa wee vá yi na yí se, bìo wee yáa o nùpue mukãnì binbirì bìo à mi khɛ̀nnáa.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Mi ɓua miten sese bìa yí zũ le Dónbeenì tĩ́ahṹ. Mi ɓua miten làa bṹn, bèra a na ká ɓa wee yáa mi yèni le mi lé ɓa bè-kora wérowà, à ɓa mi mi wén-tentewà, à dé ho cùkú le Dónbeenì yi pã̀ahṹ na á dén ǹ zéení miten làa ba yi.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Mi wé liiní miten na ho pànká ya-díwá ɓúenɓúen yi mi páaníló là a Ɲúhṹso bìo yi. Mi wé liiní miten na a bɛ́ɛ yi, wón á wi ɓa ɓúenɓúen ɲúhṹ wán,
13 — ausente —
14 à mún wé liiní miten na ɓa ɲúnása yi, bán na ó o wee tonka à ɓa beé bìa wee wé mu bè-kora lò, ká ɓa wíoka bìa wee wé mu bìo na se yènnáa.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Mu bon, bìo sĩ le Dónbeenì yi lé à mi wén-tentewà bìo yi, à bìa wee bío hã bín-conconwà na yí zũ le dɛ̀ɛ à yí dàń bío bìo ɓúi mi dã́ní yi.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Mi ɓua miten lè ɓa nùpua na wi miten bìo síi. Ká mi màhã́ yí bè bṹn yi à wé wéráa mu bè-kora. Mi wé le Dónbeenì ton-sáwá binbirí.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Mi wé kɔ̃̀nbi ɓa nùpua ɓúenɓúen, à wań mìn zàwa lè mìn hĩ́nni kèrètĩ́ɛwa. Mi wé hézɔ̃́n le Dónbeenì, à wé kɔ̃̀nbi o bɛ́ɛ.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Minɛ́n ton-sáwá, mi wé bè mi ɲúnása bíoní yi lè le kɔ̃̀nbii binbirì. Mi wé yí wé mu làa bìa sĩa se á wayika mí dòn, ká mi mún wé wé mu làa bìa lònbee wi.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Mu bon, ká a nùpue wee hĩ̀ mí sĩi le lònbee na lá yí ko le yí o yi le Dónbeenì kɔ̃̀nbii bìo yi, se mu lée bìo na se.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Ká ɓa wee ha mia mu bè-kora na mi wó bìo yi á mi hã̀ mi sĩa, se bṹn so cùkú wi le? Ɛ̀ɛ ká ɓa wee beé mi lò mu bè-tentewà na mi wee wé bìo yi à mi hã̀ mi sĩa, se bṹn lée bìo na se le Dónbeenì yahó.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Lé bṹn wéró bìo yi le Dónbeenì vonnáa mia, lé bìo ó o *Krista mí bɛɛre mún lò bon mi bìo yi. O wó mu zéenía làa mia, bèra a na à mi bè mu yi.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 O yí wó bè-kohó yí mɔn, o yí fã̀ sabéré yí mɔn.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Ɓa nùpua là a, ká arɛ́n yí là nùpue. Bìa beéra a lò ó o yí là làa hɛɛrè, ká a màhã́ dó mí bìo le Dónbeenì níi yi, dén wee cítí ɓa nùpua làa bìo térénna.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Orɛ́n mí bɛɛre lò bon wa bè-kora bìo yi ho *kùrùwá wán, bèra a na à mu bè-kora dã́ní yi à wa wé lòn nùpua na húrun, ká wa kɛń le mukãnì yi bìo térénna wéró bìo yi. Le lònbee na ó o lá lé dén wɛɛ́ra mia.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Mu bon, mi lá ka lòn pia na vṹnun, ɛ̀ɛ ká hã laà na kà wán á mi wã́a yèrèmáa ɓuara mi paro cɔ̃́n, yìa wee pa mi mukãní bìo.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
