Salmos 18

1 To the chief music-maker. Of the servant of the Lord, of David, who said the words of this song to the Lord on the day when the Lord made him free from the hand of all his haters, and from the hand of Saul; and he said,
1 Eu te amo, ó Senhor , força minha.
2 \18:1\I will give you my love, O Lord, my strength.
2 O Senhor é a minha rocha, a minha cidadela, o meu libertador; o meu Deus, o meu rochedo em que me refugio; o meu escudo, a força da minha salvação, o meu baluarte.
3 \18:2\The Lord is my Rock, my walled town, and my saviour; my God, my Rock, in him will I put my faith; my breastplate, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
3 Invoco o Senhor , digno de ser louvado, e serei salvo dos meus inimigos.
4 \18:3\I will send up my cry to the Lord, who is to be praised; so will I be made safe from those who are against me.
4 Laços de morte me cercaram, torrentes de impiedade me impuseram terror.
5 \18:4\The cords of death were round me, and the seas of evil put me in fear.
5 Cadeias infernais me cingiram, e tramas de morte me surpreenderam.
6 \18:5\The cords of hell were round me: the nets of death came on me.
6 Na minha angústia, invoquei o Senhor , gritei por socorro ao meu Deus. Ele do seu templo ouviu a minha voz, e o meu clamor lhe penetrou os ouvidos.
7 \18:6\In my trouble my voice went up to the Lord, and my cry to my God: my voice came to his hearing in his holy Temple, and my prayer came before him, even into his ears.
7 Então, a terra se abalou e tremeu, vacilaram também os fundamentos dos montes e se estremeceram, porque ele se indignou.
8 \18:7\Then trouble and shock came on the earth; and the bases of the mountains were moved and shaking, because he was angry.
8 Das suas narinas subiu fumaça, e fogo devorador, da sua boca; dele saíram brasas ardentes.
9 \18:8\There went up a smoke from his nose, and a fire of destruction from his mouth: flames were lighted by it.
9 Baixou ele os céus, e desceu, e teve sob os pés densa escuridão.
10 \18:9\The heavens were bent, so that he might come down; and it was dark under his feet.
10 Cavalgava um querubim e voou; sim, levado velozmente nas asas do vento.
11 \18:10\And he went in flight through the air, seated on a storm-cloud: going quickly on the wings of the wind.
11 Das trevas fez um manto em que se ocultou; escuridade de águas e espessas nuvens dos céus eram o seu pavilhão.
12 \18:11\He made the dark his secret place; his tent round him was the dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.
12 Do resplendor que diante dele havia, as densas nuvens se desfizeram em granizo e brasas chamejantes.
13 \18:12\Before his shining light his dark clouds went past, raining ice and fire.
13 Trovejou, então, o Senhor , nos céus; o Altíssimo levantou a voz, e houve granizo e brasas de fogo.
14 \18:13\The Lord made thunder in the heavens, and the voice of the Highest was sounding out: a rain of ice and fire.
14 Despediu as suas setas e espalhou os meus inimigos, multiplicou os seus raios e os desbaratou.
15 \18:14\He sent out his arrows, driving them in all directions; by his flames of fire they were troubled.
15 Então, se viu o leito das águas, e se descobriram os fundamentos do mundo, pela tua repreensão, pelo iroso resfolgar das tuas narinas.
16 \18:15\Then the deep beds of the waters were seen, and the bases of the world were uncovered, because of your words of wrath, O Lord, because of the breath from your mouth.
16 Do alto me estendeu ele a mão e me tomou; tirou-me das muitas águas.
17 \18:16\He sent from on high, he took me, pulling me out of great waters.
17 Livrou-me de forte inimigo e dos que me aborreciam, pois eram mais poderosos do que eu.
18 \18:17\He made me free from my strong hater, and from those who were against me, because they were stronger than I.
18 Assaltaram-me no dia da minha calamidade, mas o
19 \18:18\They came on me in the day of my trouble; but the Lord was my support.
19 Trouxe-me para um lugar espaçoso; livrou-me, porque ele se agradou de mim.
20 \18:19\He took me out into a wide place; he was my saviour because he had delight in me.
20 Retribuiu-me o Senhor , segundo a minha justiça, recompensou-me conforme a pureza das minhas mãos.
21 \18:20\The Lord gives me the reward of my righteousness, because my hands are clean before him.
21 Pois tenho guardado os caminhos do Senhor e não me apartei perversamente do meu Deus.
22 \18:21\For I have kept the ways of the Lord; I have not been turned away in sin from my God.
22 Porque todos os seus juízos me estão presentes, e não afastei de mim os seus preceitos.
23 \18:22\For all his decisions were before me, and I did not put away his laws from me.
23 Também fui íntegro para com ele e me guardei da iniquidade.
24 \18:23\And I was upright before him, and I kept myself from sin.
24 Daí retribuir-me o Senhor , segundo a minha justiça, conforme a pureza das minhas mãos, na sua presença.
25 \18:24\Because of this the Lord has given me the reward of my righteousness, because my hands are clean in his eyes.
25 Para com o benigno, benigno te mostras; com o íntegro, também íntegro.
26 \18:25\On him who has mercy you will have mercy; to the upright you will be upright;
26 Com o puro, puro te mostras; com o perverso, inflexível.
27 \18:26\He who is holy will see that you are holy; but to the man whose way is not straight you will be a hard judge.
27 Porque tu salvas o povo humilde, mas os olhos altivos, tu os abates.
28 \18:27\For you are the saviour of those who are in trouble; but eyes full of pride will be made low.
28 Porque fazes resplandecer a minha lâmpada; o
29 \18:28\You, O Lord, will be my light; by you, my God, the dark will be made bright for me.
29 Pois contigo desbarato exércitos, com o meu Deus salto muralhas.
30 \18:29\By your help I have made a way through the wall which was shutting me in; by the help of my God I have gone over a wall.
30 O caminho de Deus é perfeito; a palavra do ele é escudo para todos os que nele se refugiam.
31 \18:30\As for God, his way is completely good; the word of the Lord is tested; he is a breastplate for all those who put their faith in him.
31 Pois quem é Deus, senão o Senhor ? E quem é rochedo, senão o nosso Deus?
32 \18:31\For who is God but the Lord? or who is a Rock but our God?
32 O Deus que me revestiu de força e aperfeiçoou o meu caminho,
33 \18:32\God puts a strong band about me, guiding me in a straight way.
33 ele deu a meus pés a ligeireza das corças e me firmou nas minhas alturas.
34 \18:33\He makes my feet like roes' feet, and puts me on high places.
34 Ele adestrou as minhas mãos para o combate, de sorte que os meus braços vergaram um arco de bronze.
35 \18:34\He makes my hands expert in war, so that a bow of brass is bent by my arms.
35 Também me deste o escudo da tua salvação, a tua direita me susteve, e a tua clemência me engrandeceu.
36 \18:35\You have given me the breastplate of your salvation: your right hand has been my support, and your mercy has made me great.
36 Alargaste sob meus passos o caminho, e os meus pés não vacilaram.
37 \18:36\You have made my steps wide under me, so that my feet are kept from slipping.
37 Persegui os meus inimigos, e os alcancei, e só voltei depois de haver dado cabo deles.
38 \18:37\I go after my haters and overtake them; not turning back till they are all overcome.
38 Esmaguei-os a tal ponto, que não puderam levantar-se; caíram sob meus pés.
39 \18:38\I will give them wounds, so that they are not able to get up: they are stretched under my feet.
39 Pois de força me cingiste para o combate e me submeteste os que se levantaram contra mim.
40 \18:39\For I have been armed by you with strength for the fight: you have made low under me those who come out against me.
40 Também puseste em fuga os meus inimigos, e os que me odiaram, eu os exterminei.
41 \18:40\By you their backs are turned in flight, so that my haters are cut off.
41 Gritaram por socorro, mas ninguém lhes acudiu; clamaram ao
42 \18:41\They were crying out, but there was no one to come to their help: even to the Lord, but he gave them no answer.
42 Então, os reduzi a pó ao léu do vento, lancei-os fora como a lama das ruas.
43 \18:42\Then they were crushed as small as dust before the wind; they were drained out like the waste of the streets.
43 Das contendas do povo me livraste e me fizeste cabeça das nações; povo que não conheci me serviu.
44 \18:43\You have made me free from the fightings of the people; you have made me the head of the nations: a people of whom I had no knowledge will be my servants.
44 Bastou-lhe ouvir-me a voz, logo me obedeceu; os estrangeiros se me mostram submissos.
45 \18:44\From the time when my name comes to their ears they will be ruled by me: men of other countries will, with false hearts, put themselves under my authority.
45 Sumiram-se os estrangeiros e das suas fortificações saíram, espavoridos.
46 \18:45\They will be wasting away, they will come out of their secret places shaking with fear.
46 Vive o Senhor , e bendita seja a minha rocha! Exaltado seja o Deus da minha salvação,
47 \18:46\The Lord is living; praise be to my Rock, and let the God of my salvation be honoured.
47 o Deus que por mim tomou vingança e me submeteu povos;
48 \18:47\It is God who sends punishment on my haters, and puts peoples under my rule.
48 o Deus que me livrou dos meus inimigos; sim, tu que me exaltaste acima dos meus adversários e me livraste do homem violento.
49 \18:48\He makes me free from my haters; I am lifted up over those who come up against me: you have made me free from the violent man.
49 Glorificar-te-ei, pois, entre os gentios, ó Senhor , e cantarei louvores ao teu nome.
50 \18:49\Because of this I will give you praise, O Lord, among the nations, and will make a song of praise to your name.
50 É ele quem dá grandes vitórias ao seu rei e usa de benignidade para com o seu ungido, com Davi e sua posteridade, para sempre.
51 \18:50\Great salvation does he give to his king; he has mercy on the king of his selection, David, and on his seed for ever.
