1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Nshɔɔŋ ni yi gbɛŋgi yi tɛti beŋ li n'yamfu mbeeŋ yi wuuti yi li fiana-a nɛɛ si yi ti tɛti bɔɔŋ bɛ bwi li mbeeŋ li, ke yi se fɛ nɛ ni nɛ kuu nsiiŋ nɛ naa nɛ kɛmɛ kinsofu kinɛ.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Nɛ feti yɛɛŋ lɛ si nɛ mɔŋ baa nɛ ŋɛŋ le Taa nuuŋ bujɔŋ.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Nɛ bɛɛ fɛ Krai wu nuuŋ Tɛtɛ chi kɛmi ntsɛ, bɛniiŋ tɛ̀ faaŋ le chi dzeeŋ yɛ kɛ, se nuuŋ le Nyɔ tsaa chi le ɛ chi shaaŋ fɛ yi-i.

5 Nɛ baa tɛ si ta yi kɛmi ntsɛ yi Nyɔ gwɛndi yih yi fiana bɛ yí, le nɛ ni nɛ nuuŋ kintutu ki bɛte muntofi bee bɛ waaŋ, nɛ feti muntofi mu fiana-a li yi-i mu yi kɔŋgisi kɛti li Jiso Krai.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Fi fiɛɛ lɛ Kiŋwaati ki Nyɔ-ɔ le,
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Li beŋ bɛ gɛɛ shéŋ li wuu bani, tɛtɛ chini chɛɛ fiee fi shaaŋ fɛ be-eŋ. Se nuuŋ le, li bɛniiŋ bɛ mɛɛŋ ki gɛɛ kɛ shéŋ li wuu kɛ, chi chɛɛ fɛ bee si bɛ tɛ tsɛɛ lɛ Kiŋwaati ki Nyɔ-ɔ le,
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Fi se tuu fi nuuŋ ɛ bɛ tsɛɛ le,
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Tɛ̀ nuuŋ ŋkosi nɛ nuuŋ yɛ bɛniiŋ kɛ, dɛɛni yani nɛ baa bɛniiŋ bɛ Nyɔ-ɔ. Nɛ tɛ̀ mɛɛŋ ki fi kɛ nshiiŋ yi Nyɔ kɛ, dɛɛni yani nɛ fi baa nshiiŋ yi Nyɔ.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Nsáŋ yɛŋ yi shéŋ, si nɛ baa bilɔ bi nyiŋ li nshɛ yini-i lɛ, mi nse mbɔsɔɔ yi nsuŋgi bɔ li be-eŋ le kiiŋ nɛ ni nɛ feti biee bibifi bi nyaŋ yi bwiŋ kɔŋgisi kɛ, kifɛ biee bini gwii biɛɛ bɛ fiana yinɛ.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Nɛ doonchi kiŋge ki dzeeŋ lɛ bɛniiŋ bɛ kii yɛ Nyɔ kɛ-ɛ lɛnti ke mɔɔ be kayi biee li be-eŋ le nɛ bee baa, be ni be ŋiŋgi kiŋge kinɛ ki dzeeŋ, ke naa nuuŋ jobɛ chi Nyɔ bɛɛ, bɛ ni bɛ tendi bɛndee bɛ yi-i.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Nyɛ yɛɛŋ yih yinɛ li wi kwikwi kii Taa, li bɛniiŋ bɛ bɛ gɛɛ le be ni be sɛki bɛniiŋ. Nɛ nyɛɛ yɛɛŋ yih yinɛ li Mfɔŋ wu Lo-om wu nuuŋ Mfɔŋ wu nyɔŋa,
13 — ausente —
14 mɔɔ nuuŋ bɛniiŋ bɛ wu gɛɛ le be ni be sɛki bimbɛ bi kwɛɛŋ lɛ, be lisi bɛniiŋ bɛ feti biee bibifi li ŋgɛ-ɛ, be piɛti bɛ feti biee bi shaaŋ.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Nyɔ wɛki le nɛ ni nɛ feti biee bi shaaŋ, nɛ se ni nɛ maki bimfimu bi bibere bi bɛniiŋ lɛ bi tiiti biee bi be kii yɛ biee bi be tiiti kɛ.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Nɛ tsiiŋ yɛɛŋ si bɛniiŋ bɛ fiee fimu kɛndi yɛ be kɛ. Se nuuŋ le, kiiŋ nɛ ni nɛ dzeti fiɛɛ nɛ tɛkisi fɛ lii nɛ feti bibifi kɛ. Nɛ tsiiŋ nuuŋ si bɛmfa bɛ Nyɔ-ɔ.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Nɛ guundi bɛniiŋ bɛchu, nɛ kɔŋgisi bɛŋwaana bɛnɛ bɛ kimbeenchɛ-ɛ bɛchu, nɛ chɛndi Nyɔ, nɛ guundi Mfɔŋ wu nyɔŋa wu Lom.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Beŋ bɛ nindi li bɛniiŋ bamu-u, nɛ nyɛɛ yɛɛŋ yi yinɛ li bɛniiŋ bɛ nɛ nuuŋ lɛ bee lɛkwiiŋ, nɛ guundi be bujɔŋ. Kiiŋ nɛ ni nɛ nyɛɛ yi yinɛ nuuŋ li bɛniiŋ bɛ mbɛɛŋgii li bɛ bichi lɛ be-eŋ kwaa kɛ. Nɛ nyɛɛ tɛ yi yinɛ mɔɔ li bɛniiŋ bɛ ŋasini-i.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Ntiitɔɔ ni kifɛ Nyɔ ti wuki bujɔŋ bɛ wi wu bɛ ŋwɛki bɛ wu, wuki ntɔnyɛ, fiee fi wu fɛ nsiŋ, kɛndi nɛɛ nuuŋ shéŋ kifɛ wu gɛɛɔ bufii bwee li Nyɔ-ɔ.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Ɛ bɛ suŋgi beŋ le nɛ chɔ baa fiee, nɛ kɛndi shéŋ, mbeŋ wulu se nuuŋ la? Se nuuŋ le, ɛ nɛ ŋiŋgi ŋgɛ nuuŋ li fiee fi dzeeŋ fi nɛ feti-i, nɛ kɛndi shéŋ, Nyɔ woo bujɔŋ bɛ beŋ.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Ɛ kintsii kinɛ le nɛ ni nɛ ŋiŋgi ŋgɛ, kifɛ Krai tɛ̀ ŋɛŋ ŋgɛ tɛ̀ kii beŋ, doonchɛ mbosɛ li be-eŋ le nɛ dzɔɔ kikaa kee.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Ti mɛɛŋ mɔɔ ki fɛ kɛ bibifi kɛ, jɛ́ fiɛɛ ti mɛɛŋ mɔɔ saa kɛ li yi bo lɛ wuu wa kɛ.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Mfi wu bɛ tɛ̀ gaashi wu, ti mɛɛŋ ki tuu kɛ bɛ ŋgaashɛ kɛ. Fɛ bɛ tɛ̀ ŋwɛki bɛ wu, tɛ̀ mɛɛŋ mɔɔ ki binɛ kɛ, tɛ̀ nyɛ fiee fichu nuuŋ li tsaŋ yi Nyɔ yi kii nsawu nsa tsaaŋ.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Wu kibɛɛ tɛ̀ too bibifi bi tɛɛbeŋ li wuu bwiŋ li kintaaŋ li. Tɛ̀ fɛ lɛ le tɛɛbeŋ se kwi tɛ gatɛ bɛ bibifi, tɛ ni tɛ tsiiŋ ntsɛ wu tsaaŋ. Bibaa biee fɛ biɛɛ nɛ tɛmi kituŋ.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Nɛ tɛ̀ shiiŋ nɛ mbweŋgi si nshɔ́ɔŋ, dɛɛni nɛ se kaari baa nɛ bɛ li Kiŋkiichɛ bɛ Kimbichɛ ki ntsɛ wunɛ-ɛ.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
