2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,
3 Un na(er) schickt sini Knecht üs, d Gäscht zue d Hochziit z laden; doch sie wen nit kumme.
3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.
4 Abamols schickt da(er) anderi Knecht üs un het gsait: Sage d Gäscht: lueg (gib obacht), mi Ässä ha i(ich) gmacht, mi Ochs un mi Viech isch gschlachtet, un alles isch parat; kumme zue d Hochziit!
4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 Aba sie hän nen vuachtet un gehn wäg, eina uf si Acka, dr andere a si Gschäft.
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 Ä baar aba packe sini Knecht, schellte un den sie umbringe.
6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 Do isch dr Kenig zornig un schickt si Heer üs un hole d Mörda un zinde ihri Schtadt a.
7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 Dann(Dnoh) het da(er) zue sinene Knecht gsait: D Hochziit isch zwar parat, aba d Gäscht ware's nit wert.
8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 Drum gehn üsä uf d Schtroße un lade zue d Hochziit i, wen na finde.
9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 Un d Knecht gehn uf d Schtroße üsä un bringe zsämme, wen sie finde, Besi un Gueti; un d Tische wäre alli voll.
10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 Do goht dr Kenig inä, sich d Gäscht azluege, un het do ä Mensch gsäh, der het kei Hochziitsgwand a,
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 un het zue nem gsait: Fründ(Freund), we bisch dü do inekumme un hesch doch kei Hochziitsgwand a? Er aba isch vuschtummt.
12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 Do het dr Kenig zue sinene Diena gsait: Bindet nem d Händ(Pfode) un Feß un werfe nen in d Nacht üsä! Do wird Hiile un Zähneklappere si.
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 Denn vieli sin bruefe, aba wenig sin üserwählt.
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
15 Do gehn d Pharisäer hi un halte Rot, we sie nen in sinene Wort fange kennte;

16 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men's person;
17 Drum sag uns(us), was meinsch dü: Isch's recht, daß ma däm Kaisa Schtiire (Zinsgrosche) zahlt odr nit?
17 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
18 Als drno Jesus ihri Bosheit gmerkt het, het da(er) gsait: Ihr Heuchla, was vusuecht ihr mi?
18 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?
19 Zeigt ma(mir) ä Stiirminze! Un sie gän nem ä Silbagrosche.
19 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
20 Un na(er) het zue nene gsait: Wem si Bild un Ufschrift isch des?
20 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
21 Sie sage zue nem: Vum Kaisa. Do het da(er) zue nene gsait: So gen däm Kaisa, was vum Kaisa isch, un Gott, was Gottes isch!
21 They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.
22 Als sie des ghärt hän, wundre sie sich, len vu nem ab un gehn dvu.
22 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
23 An demselbe Dag kumme d Sadduzäer zue nem, de lehre, s gibt keini Uferschtehig, un froge nen
23 — ausente —
24 un hän gsait: Meischta, Moses het gsait (5. Moses 25,5.6): "Wenn eina schtirbt un het keini Kinda, so soll si Brueda si Wieb hirote un sinem Brueda Nochkumme mache."
24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.

25 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.

26 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.

27 And last of all the woman also died.

28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?

29 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.

30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.

31 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:
32 Ich bi d Gott Abrahams un d Gott Isaaks un d Gott Jakobs"? Gott isch nit ä Gott vu d Dote, sundern dr Lebändige.
32 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.

33 E, ouvindo esta doutrina, as turbas se enchiam de grande admiração.

34 Sabendo os fariseus que Jesus reduzira ao silêncio os saduceus, reuniram-se
35 Un eina vu nene, ä Schriftglehrte, vusuecht nen un het gfrogt:
35 e um deles, doutor da lei, fez-lhe esta pergunta para pô-lo à prova:
36 Meischta, welches isch des hechschte Gebot im Gsetz?
36 Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?
37 Jesus aba git zantwort nem: "Dü sollsch d Herrn, di Gott, liebe vu ganzem Herze, vu ganza Seele un vu ganzem Gmet" (5. Moses 6,5).
37 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.

43 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:

45 Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?
